Brass Lantern Inn

We stayed in the Atlantic, mostly because it was available and their most affordable option. (Not high season yet.) Although it was on the third floor (up the steep attic stairway), it was charming in a quirky way. The shower was fantastic! The linens were wonderful. The mattress was ok....

We stayed in the Atlantic, mostly because it was available and their most affordable option. (Not high season yet.) Although it was on the third floor (up the steep attic stairway), it was charming in a quirky way. The shower was fantastic! The linens were wonderful. The mattress was ok. Noisy when it rained, being in the attic with historic old windows. The breakfasts were tasty and filling, you are expected to pre-order from a list. The staff was friendly and hard-working. The location was a side street right in town. And there was parking for the rental car! Very decent choice for those who can deal with the stairs.

Innkeeper Sharon makes you feel welcome before you even get to the island with her welcoming emails and text message. My questions were answered promptly! Innkeeper Sharon makes you feel welcome before you even get to the island with her welcoming emails and text message. My questions were answered promptly! She goes above and beyond with her hospitality, from freshly baked cookies at 5:00 every afternoon to breakfast promptly served. She even helped deal with late arriving luggage with a cheery smile. The Jonquil room had a comfortable bed with soft and firm pillow options and a sparkling bathroom. The location is perfect, within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, wharf, and the Brandt Point Lighthouse. This place is highly recommended.

We just had a wonderful stay at the Brass Lantern! I honestly would not have changed a thing- the location is perfect (walking distance to the center of town) and the accommodations were really nice. Everything was really clean, and I’m pretty particular. The sheets and towels were incredibly soft! Even the beach towels available to take for the day were super soft. Annmarie and Sharon were really sweet and wonderful. Breakfast each morning was really yummy with a variety of items.

We have just arrived home from a 6 night stay at The Brass Lantern, and couldn't wait to write a review. We were so thrilled with every little aspect of our stay. First, I have to send kudos to our wonderful hostess (innkeeper), Sharon. She went above and beyond in everything she did. From the first email we sent, she was so efficient. Once we got there, she was kind, helpful, and catered to out every need. She had umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, ice, wine glasses, corkscrews, and anything else you could possibly need or want. Annemarie also did an outstanding job as well. The rooms were spotless and so was every inch of the inn. The bedding was cozy, and I enjoyed the best night's sleep. The breakfasts were to die for. (especially the home baked blueberry scones, and ham and cheese croissant) We will definitely be returning!

We stayed three nights at the Brass Lantern Inn and had a wonderful time! The Inn is a beautiful, quintessential New England colonial-era home on a cobblestone street, right around the corner from the Whaling Museum/downtown. Sharon, the innkeeper, was so kind and thoughtful. She carefully prepared our breakfast every morning so that we could bring it up to our room to enjoy. She texts you a menu around 5 o’clock each evening and you can pick out what you want to eat/drink for the next morning and send it to her. We stayed in the Wisteria room, which I believe is the largest room at the inn. It was a good size, with a separate sitting area with a nice loveseat and a mini-fridge. The king bed was large and very comfortable. I have nothing but good things to say about the brass lantern inn, I highly recommend staying here!

If the Brass Lantern isn’t where you’re staying, you’re not Nantucketing correctly. The location is perfect, the service is amazing and high-touch, and the accommodations are incredible. The Brass Lantern is a home away from home. Very cozy and comfortable! We will definitely be back!

The location is within walking distance to the ferry, restaurants, shops and beaches. The Inn has every amenity for your stay. Each morning is a selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt and more. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available throughout the day with amazing warm cookies in the afternoon! The Brass Lantern Inn is our place for comfort, zen, elegance and relaxation. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a lovely well-situated inn in the heart of town, graciously managed by Ms. Bygrave. The breakfasts are way better than most B&Bs. The rooms are comfortable. They allow well-behaved dogs for a modest fee. There is a little dog run in the back

First off, I acknowledge I made an error when I made my reservation. I booked 2 rooms instead of one. This was for our second wedding anniversary and first time time away from our 5 month old. I immediately called the Inn and explained my error. I spoke to Sharon...

First off, I acknowledge I made an error when I made my reservation. I booked 2 rooms instead of one. This was for our second wedding anniversary and first time time away from our 5 month old. I immediately called the Inn and explained my error. I spoke to Sharon who said" Don't worry, I will take care of it. You will only be charged for one room. Guess what...I checked out on Saturday, 10/1, and I was charged a $49 cancelation fee!! I approached Sharon in a very courteous way and she said this is " because of the credit card". Are you kidding me!!! I have been refunded cancelations of reservations before without any problem. I would hope someone in management reads this and refunds this fee ASAP. Sharon, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I would appreciate abit of courtesy. Secondly, the breakfast offered was a dismal cold meal. For a room at $500+, I expect abit more.

The innkeeper was wonderful. We loved the breakfasts that she provided as well. I reccomend Brass Lantern for anyone staying on Nantucket. It is also a more economical option compared to the other big hotels.
