We were looked after by Fah, a lovely lady who ensured we had a fantastic holiday in the most wonderful setting. We must give our thanks to Fah again for all her help in organising everything we wanted for us so we could just relax and enjoy.

We have room G205 which had the most amazing view and we saw some great sunsets.
We did a group day trip which was good but worth paying for a private speed boat to explore some stunning beaches.

The Banyan Tree at Krabi is a fantastic resort with stunning views across the bay. Arriving in the lobby and looking out over the infinity pool is a pretty special start to your stay!!
We stayed in an Ocean View room right at the top of the resort and looking out at the islands as the sun set, from our private pool, was an absolute pinch-me moment. The room is well appointed but not overly spacious - however, in combination with the outside terrace and pool it is like having a suite (so long as it doesn’t rain!).
We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Saffron - great food, wonderful service and views across the resort. There are a couple of local restaurants at the other end of the beach which are great for watching the sun go down with a cocktail, and the curries there were also excellent (and great value for money). You may even get to watch a very staged marriage proposal complete with fireworks! We also went down to the street food night market at Ao Nang which was fun, but not quite the authentic experience of other Asian cities. It was very easy to get a Grab taxi back to the hotel.
We took a couple of longtail boat tours which we booked through the hotel. These were holiday highlights - we went to Railley Beach for the first trip, and Hong Island/Nok Island the second time. They were great with a pickup from the beach, and friendly drivers.
We enjoyed sitting by the pool where there were plenty of sunbeds. However we were disappointed that there weren’t any sunshades on the beach, and not enough tree shade, which meant we did not spend very much time there.
All in all it was a lovely place to unwind at the end of our holiday in Thailand.

Gosh, where do we start. Our stay at The Banyan Tree here in Krabi was like a dream. Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon and we spent 6 nights. (We flew from America) From the views, to the privacy, the breakfast, the staff, the experiences, the beach, the drinks, the food and restaurants, the pool, the spa- everything is out of a dream. Pong, Ton, Nai and all of the staff (we could name them all truly) were so incredibly good to us during our stay - I actually shed a couple tears saying goodbye. We spent a lot of time at the bar during happy hour so we really got to know some of the staff at the bar, and they are so incredibly kind and welcoming. We traveled to Singapore for a couple more days to finish off our honeymoon at Marina Bay Sands and immediately wish we stayed longer at the Banyan Tree. We are so grateful for the experience and staff in Krabi - we will be revisiting The Banyan Tree in Krabi as many times as we can travel there. John & I thank you all so much for making this trip so special. It is truly the most perfect destination and a home away from home. Kap kuhn ka 🙏🏼 we will miss you all so much.
Everything we tried: at the resort
The Spa & rainforest (highly recommend)
Destination dining
Daily breakfast
Happy Hour
BBQ & Fire show
Kayaking & paddle boarding
Saffron & Naga, room service (everyday they also bring you daily desserts - I thought was adorable AND delicious!)
Special Baths (rose petals)
Outside the resort:
The Elephant Sanctuary &
Zip lining (both fantastic)
Phi phi islands tour (I thought this was okay)
We did not do the Birds Nest because you have to reserve a few months ahead of time as they only take 3 tables a night - but Saffron has just about the same view!
We also did not try the yoga/pilates/exercise classes they had - I wanted to but we never got the time to attend them. They look wonderful. You have to reserve at least 24-hrs ahead of time for all classes.

In the restaurant Apple, Pom, Ying & Saina. In the bar Ton, Noom, and their team. In fact all the staff were amazing. Any requests were so quickly dealt with by the reception team. The entire resort is well maintained and kept spotless as was our room. We were a little way from the restaurants and pool but the golf buggy service was always to hand and fun to use. We highly recommend this resort.

Just returned from a 10 night stay in a beachfront villa. The hotel is stunning and our room was out of this world. So much space and luxury. The room had a lovely living area opening out on to a hot tub and wraparound pool. This leads into a private garden with seating areas. Most importantly though was the stunning view. We didn’t venture out from the hotel apart from walks along the beach but did use the well equipped gym and utilised the spa. We alternated dinner between Naga Kitchen and Saffron. Both were very good and were well priced for the quality of the food and service. We also pre-booked Birds Nest for a birthday celebration - very memorable - but as only 3 “pods” advance bookings recommended. We also enjoyed the beach BBQ and fireshow. After a stressful start to the year, we were both looking for a place to unwind. Banyan Tree did this completely. The staff were all very kind, housekeeping was excellent, the pool man and gardening team. Our host Zen was readily available on what’s app for anything we needed and it was also great that the hotel manager - Poo - was around at breakfast time to introduce herself and chat to the guests. So often the hotel manager is not visible but it was clear that this hotel is extremely well managed. Little touches such as turndown gifts, the amazing scent of essential oils and birthday treats made our stay unforgettable. Many thanks to all the team.

If your travels take you to Krabi the Banyan Tree is a truly glorious place to stay. The setting is superb with glorious views of islands in the Adaman Sea. If you enjoy walking a fantastic hike to the Dragons Crest (more breathtaking views) starts just up the road. There is a taxi rank nearby if you want to go further afield. Wining and dining facilities are supetb. We particularly enjoyed the seclusion of the Birds Nest (book early - only 3 pods!). Rooms extremely well appointed. But the jewel in the crown are the staff - absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. As you would expect in Thailand they show a wonderful blend of friendliness, courtesy and efficiency but it’s also in their DNA to be extremely kind - I saw one find a crab and show it to a fascinated little girl on the beach. All in all a stay here is a joyous experience.

we had the extraordenary pleasure to stay 3 weeks at the Banyan Tree Krabi.
from the beginning, pick up from Krabi airport until depature, we had an unbelivable good and relaxing time at the Bayan Tree Krabi.
We like to travel a lot and can objectively say, the Banyan Tree stay was the best vacation in Asia up to now.
The breakfast was exceptionally varied, especially and among other things the selection of fruits and Asia and Europe cuisine.
We woud like to take the opportunity the express our very special and warm thank you to Pop,
Fah our always careing host, and Pom & team, Lucky for an unbelivable nice and relaxing holiday at the Banyan Tree Krabi.
We honestly can highly recommend the Banyan Tree for unfogettable holidays.
We plan to come back next year already !

A beautiful resort complex right on the beach. We recommend a suite with its own pool. It leaves nothing to be desired. Very friendly staff at the pool bar. Special thanks to Khem, who spoiled us every day! But also to Ton and Noom. We'll come back.
Absolutely amazing! Place was absolutely gorgeous- food was delicious. Must go to Saffron for dinner one night. The staff was so wonderful and Friya was the absolute best! She completely made our stay. Highly recommend staying here! Will definitely be back.
Naga kitchen was exceptional in service with Sahl providing awesome service. He was very attentive providing information on the dinner and continuous care while dining. Romantic setting provided on a gorgeous beach backdrop. The food was exceptional with drinks made to perfection

The hotel is set at the quietest end of the beach next to the nature reserve so feels very private . It’s a large resort but never felt noisy as there is plenty of room for guests . The rooms are spacious and clean , very comfortable , very good views of the bay even with villas below your room . Beds very comfortable, nice turndown touches.
The staff are excellent, most speak very good English , all are helpful and well trained . Freya stood out , she greeted us and went out of her way to help all week , booking meals , offering a yoga mat and even helping more to find an item outside the resort .
Facilities are good , a lovely large pool that’s suitable for laps , good spa , well equipped modern gym with aircon
Food is a bit more limited . Saffron the Thai restaurant is very good and reasonable value with a lovely setting and very good staff . Naga is a little more variable .. breakfast there has excellent choices with This and other cuisines all catered as well as the international choices . Dinner is less special even with a lot of choice and one evening was a little understaffed. The bar is a bit slow but has good choices .
Overall food and beverages offer good value for a 5 star resort
I suggest breakfast and light lunches and booking ahead to secure Saffron

This resort is truly 5 star, the service is impeccable, housekeeping a dream, the different scents they leave you in your room will make you buy them all! All the rooms have a view of the islands and your own private pool which makes it difficult to leave your sanctuary but you must as it’s the staff on the resort that will make your visit extra special. We were looked after by the ever helpful Pim who went out of her way to advise and help. The bar and beach staff are fantastic with shout outs to Dao, Ice, Noom, Ton and Teoy. Dao hands down made the best mango daiquiris but they all looked after us with a smile and nothing was ever too much trouble. The Thai food in saffron was fantastic and well worth the experience, we ate out a few times at the Tuberuek Seafood restaurant which is a 10 min walk up the beach and that balanced out the hotel / local restaurants

My partner and I recently spent a week at Banyan Tree Krabi as part of our honeymoon. Overall the hotel was brilliant from the breathtaking views to incredibly warm service and luxurious rooms. We loved our stay here.
Arrival: The hotel is around a 1 hour transfer from the airport and we had a plush VIP vehicle which set the high standards from the outset. Upon arrival the reception area has the most breathtaking views I have ever seen at a hotel before looking over the andaman sea with the various islands in the distance. It reminded me of Pandora from the avatar movies it really is a special view. We were greeted and checked in by our host for our stay the lovely Tarn.
Room: We booked a premium ocean view suite which comes with private pool. The room was very nice with a modern feel, large bathroom with free standing tub and amazing views. We loved having our own pool and spent most of our time here.
Pool & Beach areas: The hotel has a main pool area which looked very nice although we actually never based ourselves there. Given all rooms have pools I suspect it never gets too busy and is probably more used by families. The beach area felt very private with beds sprinkled across the beachfront. Service was attentive providing towels and water. We didn’t partake in any water sports but there are complimentary kayaks and the hotels longboat the white pearl which can be privately chartered to visit nearby islands.
Restaurants:
The hotel has 2 restaurants; Naga kitchen which serves breakfast lunch and dinner offering an international menu and Saffron the hotels Thai restaurant. We loved the breakfast at Naga with everything you’d want really nicely laid out so breakfast felt like a relaxing experience. Eggs were ordered and brought to your table and I liked the fact fresh coconut water was available too. For lunch we actually ate in our room as we loved the convenience and the in room dining food was very good. For dinner we enjoyed the food at Naga. It’s a nice atmosphere there eating outside and the menu is very diverse offering a wide range of cuisine all cooked really well. We ate at Saffron one night and it was very cool getting a special natural style elevator lift up to the restaurant. The food was good but not outstanding and we were a little underwhelmed given it was Thai food. It may have just been us and what we ordered. One night the hotel hosted a beach bbq which was great. Really tasty food, wonderful setting on the beach and included a fire show. That was a fun night and offered something different given the hotel only has the 2 restaurants. Overall food and service was very good here.
Service: Talking of service it was something that really stood out to us. The Thai people are so hospitable and we found the staff at banyan tree to be incredibly warm and helpful. Special mention to Tarn who was a wonderful host so sweet and always made sure we were enjoying our stay. Shout out too to Guy who organised an awesome day trip out to the Ao Nang elephant sanctuary and booked us a great table at Reeve restaurant which is must visit.
Gym & Spa:
The hotel gym is fairly small but was more than adequate for a week stay. It had dumbells to 25kg, a cable machine, leg extension, lat pull down machine, shoulder press, treadmills and stationary bike. The spa is called the rainforest and is an amazing facility with steam, sauna, various plunge pools (hot and cold), heated beds. But it was exclusively for private use and you had to pay THB 1,500 to reserve it for an hour. My recommendation to the hotel would be to change this policy and either make the rainforest available to guests who pay for treatments or allow guests to use it any time. Myself and I’m sure many others enjoy using such facilities so to pay seems unreasonable and also feels like a bit of a waste as it’s large enough to accommodate many people many people at one time not just 1 or 2 who have privately reserved it. We did have a couples massage during our stay which was great. Thanks to Ice for the great massage and Subhash for helping us with the booking.
Overall our stay at banyan tree was truly special and I would definitely recommend this lovely resort for anyone considering a stay.
