It was definitely a bucket list worth doing. All staff were very courteous and helpful with special mention to Pang, who went out of her way to assist us and made our stay unforgettable. Our Three Country View Suite was beautiful and complete with all amenities you would need for a “jungle” experience (binoculars, umbrella, insect repellanr). I strongly suggest to do elephant activities with Dr. Nissa and the mahouts, who were very professional and knowledgeable. Food is super delicious!! The all-inclusive package left us gaining a kilo after checkout. Ms. Tuk (front desk manager), the restaurant manager (I forgot her name, and all the restaurant and concierge staff were nice and efficient. Had a Poo Loey massage, which was one of my best Anantara Spa massages.

What aa wonderful resort to stay at. You will receive exceptional care from all staff, they are so kind, caring and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, beds were comfortable! My only comment that would be negative is that the lighting in the bathroom was very dark. We tried almost all of the excursions: the elephant walk was wonderful- although the elephants were quite a bit ahead of us most of the time. We did get to stop with them and hang out at the end of the walk- which was an amazing experience. Our guide/vet got to share with us what ethical care was of the elephants and what the challenges were that they face. They really take care of their elephants! We enjoyed the cooking class with PJ- don't miss this one; it combines all of your senses with visiting the market, the community, learning about cooking and cooking yourself and then eating a tasty meal! The Designer dining was another favourite to do out by the river, we had a special visit with the elephants- this was my favourite encounter with the elephants! We stayed in the bubble for one night. This is a very cool experience to see the night sky. The accommodations are very comfortable and well done. The two bedroom has a hot tub outside, the one bedrooms do not. The highlight of this should be the elephants but I think it is the idea of the dome tent and the amazing deck with a beautiful view. your check in is not until 5:30 pm, you do get a wonderful meal outside viewing the elephants but it was dark by 6:45 and the elephants leave by 7:30 in the morning to go to the river and your check out is shortly after. You can see them at night moving around in the shadows. We also did the 3 hour tour which is another must do to see what is around you and what the culture is like. It has a little bit of everything and finishes off with a boat ride up the Mekong. Overall I really would give this resort a 10/10 It is a wonderful place to visit, to have a holiday, to be pampered and to create wonderful memories

We had 3 nights All-inclusive (excluding alcohol) here - we could easily have added a couple more nights on. The hotel is set in huge grounds, and arriving there is really good. If you can, book the Explorers arrival - where you do the last bit by long tail boat, and are met by elephants to walk you up to the hotel! We didn’t do it, but others said it was great. The hotel itself doesn’t have elephants wandering about (unsurprisingly - but some people met thought it would, from the photos). Instead you get an activity per night that you can use. Walking with Giants was great - literally going for a walk with a guide, 3 elephants and their Mahouts. They explained it is a charity and they rescue elephants and their Mahouts (along with their families) from big cities and bring them to love on the grasslands. Great experience, and very educational. We also did an activity where we made up food balls for the elephants, (bananas/rice/seeds) and then fed them to the elephants. Then we ‘helped’ shower them. Again - lots of explanation, that the food gave essential vitamins etc to the elephants, and they were rotated round. Great fun and really well run. We did a village/temple afternoon with a long tail boat ride - again it was excellent - a great guide (wish I could remember his name) who was really knowledgeable and great fun. Finally we did a paid for trip out for an hour in a pair of motorcycle and side cars - Royal Enfield 1901 models. Which I would highly recommend. The drivers (no they don’t trust you) were really good guides too. The food was excellent. Breakfast lunch & dinner - a mixture of a la carte and buffet (you could choose or mix & match) - really relaxed with the dining room overlooking the jungle, with the grasslands and elephant down below. The swimming pool was cold! That said, it was bearable. And the service everywhere was impeccable and friendly. Rooms were great - ask for a top floor room for a better view - our middle floor was obstructed by a big tree. Great place to stay - wish we had an extra day or 2.

Great location & wonderful staff
The location of this hotel is great, meeting the elephants amazing and our suite was lovely but it’s the staff that make this hotel. They are, without exception, friendly, helpful, smiling & professional. This hotel is a well oiled machine - it’s a lovely place to be as a guest.

My wife and I stayed at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort for our honeymoon and truly had the experience of a lifetime. As a same-sex female couple, we were treated with nothing but kindness as an LGBTQ couple! The rooms, property and pool are stunningly beautiful and we always felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The breakfast was out-of-this-world amazing, and we loved the in-room dining and poolside dining as well (shoutout to Oil for always taking such attentive care of us!). We did the Walking with Giants experience (Wyn, our guide, was so friendly and knowledgeable) which was truly indescribable. Recommend the 7:30 am slot as it was so peaceful out and we felt like the elephants were very active at that hour! We loved our mahout outfits we got to wear, too. The Elephant Guardian experience we did was also amazing, as we got to prepare food with our guide, Tiger (who was so fun and we learned so much from) and fed the elephants! We also received a spa treatment as our final experience included in our stay which was so relaxing and we paid for an extra 30 minutes which was worth the cost. They also organized a private shuttle to take us into and pick us up from town, which was a fun little hour break in the day. Thank you so much for the most peaceful, beautiful stay!

This property is an elephant lovers DREAM. Calling it a hotel is a massive understatement. The room was well maintained, but I would not say it was the highlight of the stay. The bed was comfortable, it was well stocked with bath products, bug spray (!), and a mini bar. Our balcony overlooked the beautiful forest area. The one less than perfect part was the shower- the tub looked a bit worn to the eye. We were on the all inclusive plan here, the first day I was nervous we would tire of the food but it surprised us in a good way! We participated in Mekong night which featured a Thai buffet and were very pleased. The staff was wonderful- special shout out to Tiger, he was by far our favorite guide of the stay and we were lucky enough to get to do 3 activities with him. Now for the star of the show- the activities! There are 16 Ellie's at anantara and we were lucky to meet them all. We started with ELE Learning Experience with the fantastic vet that concluded with giving the elephants a bath and a drink. Next we did the Guardian Experience, during which we got to make them treats and feed them. Our final included activity was Walking With Giants- a walk, on their terms, to the river for water and a bath. As an add on we did the private picnic, which was just spectacular. The food was great, the private interaction with the animals even better. The picnic pretty much wrapped all 3 of our actives into one- with the bonus of dining while watching them graze. This was a stay I will NEVER forget. If I had to offer one small critique, I might suggest they try to keep parties with young children grouped together for activities and adults grouped together for activities. Otherwise- this was the stay of a lifetime!

Our stay at the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort offered many highlights and a few areas for improvement. The resort's location, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and lush greenery, set the stage for a tranquil getaway. Positives: * The guides for trekking and biking were exceptional, and spoke perfect English. They provided in-depth knowledge about the local area and making outdoor adventures both fun and educational. The “city tour" was fun, usingtuk tuk and longboats as transportation * The elephant encounters were unforgettable, thoughtfully designed to respect the animals' well-being while allowing guests to connect with them in a meaningful way. * A special mention goes to Julia, whose Thai massage was absolutely terrific. * The staff was extremely friendly nice and helpful. Negatives: * The overall food quality was average. The buffet, in particular, often felt underwhelming, with dishes that seemed to have been sitting out for too long. There is an a la carte menu- which is deceptive. 2/3rds of the menu is on the buffet, 1/3 a la carte. The second day a different 1/3 is a la carte and so on. There is no where convenient to eat off campus and so the food is an issue. * The room felt a little dated, with furnishings showing some wear and tear. The large shower/bath tub combination, while luxurious in size, was somewhat impractical and it was difficult to use the shower * The pool was gorgeous- but not heated- was too cold to use * At $2000 per night the experience frankly should be near perfect.
