My husband and I recently visited Old Quebec to celebrate a notable birthday. Auberge Saint-Antoine made this celebration beyond memorable. We were delighted with our beautiful room with a view of the river. We appreciated the heated floors in December, the impeccable cleanliness, food and staff who greeted us with smiles and recommendations. We hope to come back to visit again soon and explore more of what Quebec and surrounding area has to offer.

Our experience at this historic hotel was a blend of exceptional service and minor challenges. The hotel itself is beautiful, steeped in history and elegance. While the overall experience was outstanding, we encountered a view-related issue that slightly impacted our stay. Room and View The room's view overlooked a parking garage, which initially dampened our Christmas holiday atmosphere. (I suggest the hotel introduce a "City View" room category to help guests set clear expectations). However, the hotel management, particularly Jason, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He helped us secure a room on a higher floor with a partial garage view, understanding the hotel was fully booked during the holiday season. Concierge Team: Jenny and Jade were incredibly helpful, securing a last-minute Christmas Eve reservation at Chez Muffy, which turned out to be a magical dining experience. The management's proactive approach in addressing our concerns was commendable. The bar offered a delightful atmosphere with local cocktails and attentive and attractive bartenders, enhancing our stay. The decor blends modern comforts with historical elements, creating a unique ambiance. The cleaning service worked diligently, maintaining immaculate standards even during the busy holiday period. Despite the view challenge, this remains one of the best hotels in town, offering a 5-star experience with outstanding service and attention to detail.

The Auberge Saint-Antoine is a beautiful hotel with a friendly and helpful staff! Our room was perfectly appointed - comfortable bed, very clean. turn down service, water, tea and coffee available in the room. Had the river view room which was nice - you got to see the cruise ships coming in and going out. October is a great time to visit Quebec - not too cold yet and the fall foliage is beautiful too. Highly recommend the Auberge Saint-Antoine! We will definitely be back for another visit.

We are so pleased with our choice of the Auberge Saint-Antoine for our visit to Quebec City! It was one of the most comfortable hotel experiences we can remember, perfect from A-Z. We felt that every amenity was the result of extensive surveys. Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean rooms, spacious bathrooms with heated floors and soft robes, fabulous and well-equipped exercise room with yoga space, cozy, delicious restaurants, space to chill by a roaring fire next to the lobby. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel on a quiet little street. Close to everything. The room was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent service all around and food was fabulous. Plus, we got to experience amazing massages from Stephanie! Highly recommend this special inn!

Having stayed at many R&C throughout Europe over 20 years, I was looking forward to a visit to Quebec City and staying at the 'Auberge St Antoine'. . I am not a contributor who gives a wonderful establishment a negative review because ' The hotel had not supplied each room with a teapot'. That said, I do like to overspend for vacations as my partner and I love to stay at 'Relais & Chateaux'. Exploring a destination is great when you return to a hotel where the stay could be a big part of the vacation in itself. .. This was not the case at this R&C. It is a shame because the Hotel itself, is quite exemplary. Checking in was easy. Mostly because of the help of the one terrific member of the staff,Felix. The rooms are well appointed. The balconies overlooking the St Lawrence are terrific and the ancient artifacts that had been found when digging under the hotel are displayed throughout the hotel. This certainly puts the hotel in a special category. That is where it ends. We had two experiences that were the worst we'd ever encountered in a R&C. Number 1) We sat down to diner in the more casual restaurant, Artifact. There was a very loud bartender regaling a group of guests and ignoring everyone else. There were three servers in a small half empty restaurant but it took more than 30 minutes before we were brought water. The waiter was clearly out of his league, whether for lack of training or some other reason. I will make no assumptions. But the service was the worst we'd ever had traveling in thirty years. After another fifteen minutes, I stood up and flagged this poor unkempt waiter as his female counterpart did not seem to be helping him. I told him that we'd been waiting an hour and we knew the kitchen stopped taking orders in 20 minutes. It was a Sunday night so there was no other place to go to by this point. I told him we'd like a bottle of sparking water and to then order. He came back with a pitcher filled with enough water for maybe two glasses. He forgot the menus. I told him that we did not want a used pitcher of water. We wanted a bottle of whatever sparkling in a bottle was available. We were starving so we insisted on ordering and 86ing the Sparkling. He return after ten minutes with two menus. He was very apologetic. We ordered and I asked if we should order our dessert now. "Not necessary" he replied. He came over with a basket of bread that looked like it was from a diner, "Because you are hungry and I'm sorry" he said. I can honestly say that he brought my soup an hour and a half after we arrived, it was cold. I then got very strident, which is not my style and told him to take the soup away and bring just the entrees. They were also luke warm and inedible. I asked him when he brought the entrees if we could now order dessert before we missed out.This is 2 hours after we sat down.. He came back and told us,. "I am so orry but the kitchen is not taking anymore orders". I told him to take my entree away as it was inedible and I walked straight up to reception. I explained everything with a heightened attitude and asked to have something brought to the room which I was told they could not do at that hour. I told them that I at least wanted a simple dessert that needed no preparation. Nope. They could not go in the kitchen. I was so angry as why had I paid hundreds of dollars to stay at a hotel where the experience had caused my BP to spike. Felix knocked on the door with scoops of ice cream quickly put on a plate and there were cookies as well. Felix, a fine representative of the hotel and a natural tendency for R&C service was a prince. He should be promoted to being in charge of customer relations. Number two. At breakfast, as it is a buffet, the plates were small so it is necessary to use several. If you return to the buffet, and use another plate, your bed plate at the table should be gone. I know this sounds picky but by the end of one breakfast, we had 12 plates on our table and not one of the servers, as they passed by, cleared the table. Even as I stayed to have a second cup of coffee alone at the table, I had to bus the 12 plates, napkins and silverware. I looked for the cleaning towel and wiped off the table. Try having a second cup of coffee with your table overflowing with every plate, cup and the rest, from breakfast. Reminded me of a bad diner. Not acceptable at a hotel that charges high prices because of attention to every single detail. The hotel looked to make up for a disastrous stay by trying to reconcile for falling short, It means nothing as it is after the fact.

Elegant getaway- almost did not want to leave the luxurious nooks and crannies of this historic hotel. Breakfast buffet was memorable. Knowledgeable concierge. Need to be able to walk on cobblestones and climb stairs for this location. Enjoyed happy hours in the bar.

Truly a spectacular experience that is so warm and welcoming - every detail perfect yet approachable and definitely not formal. The design elements were incredibly thoughtful and beautiful - whatever you might need was right where you needed it. Bravo Madame Price and family!!!

5 Star stay at Auberge Saint-Antoine! My spouse and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for 3 nights following a cruise. The hotel public spaces and guest rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The service was excellent - from the bellmen to the front desk to the concierge and the housekeepers. The location in the midst of the old city is within steps of great shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Having traveled all over for over 40 years, this was the best hotel experience we've ever had. It's not just one thing - every aspect is thoughtful and elevated. But the friendliness and helpfulness of every person at the hotel really stood out. We will return as often as possible.

We were newcomers to Auberge St. Antoine, and unsure of what experience we might have. Our expectations were met 100%. The hotel staff were warm, enthusiastic and very welcoming. The room was well- equipped, from the heated bathroom floor, to the quality of the furnishings. The Nescafe and teas were great, and the evening housekeeping staff offering to replenish items was unexpected and appreciated. The Chez Muffy tasting menu with wine pairings was ABSOLUTELY fantastic! The restaurant with it's beautiful architecture, the enthusiasm of the servers and the creativity of the courses was truly fabulous! Breakfast was a true delight starting with the from the house made jams and caramel sauce to the fresh squeezed juice, to the local cheeses and other offerings. Lastly, Bar Artifact had a great vibe and included a great selection of champagne by the glass and equally wonderful bar menu. If each stay is like this, one would not want to stay at any other hotel chain! This exceeded our expectations. Truly. Not hyperbole.

We spent a lovely 2 nights at the Auberge mid October during a leaf trip to Quebec. Everything about the hotel from the moment we arrived was splendid. The staff were warm and helpful, the room (with a fireplace, large walk in shower, and view of the hill up to the Place d'Armes with the changing leaves), and the meals in Chez Muffy (both the a la carte dinner and the 2 breakfasts) were simply wonderful and worth the price. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious experience in old Quebec City.

Staying here was one of my favorite hotel experiences. We were upgraded to a luxe queen with a terrace (which we couldn't really enjoy unfortunately as there was still snow on it!). The room was very spacious ; and the bathroom had a double sink, bathtub and shower - which was very lovely - and a wall mounted floss dispenser! (never seen that before) We also had evening "turndown" service (a card left with the weather for the next day; two sachets of evening tea; drawn curtains). Simple but thoughtful touches The historical objects are displayed throughout the hotel - including in our room - in a unique and beautiful way. Breakfast was wonderful - excellent service and the food was delicious! And friendly and helpful desk staff.
