Love everything about this hotel especially the staff name BJ was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Good job Hotel breakfast offered a fantastic selection of both Western and Thai dishes, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that were beautifully presented.

Top quality hotel in great Chiang Mai location by the river and very close to the night market. Loved our River View room - comfy bed and good amenities (particularly loved the Dyson hairdryer!). Breakfasts by the river were very special. Ate at both restaurants in the evening and was impressed by each of them. All the staff were exceptional - helpful and friendly on every occasion. We enjoyed some time by the pool in the afternoons which was calm and very relaxing. We would recommend the Anantara highly as an oasis of calm in the heart of the city.

I can highly recommend this hotel, positioned on the Mae Ping River and central Chang Mai. Easy walking distance to Temples and Night markets. All aspects of the hotel are very high standard, the customer service from all the staff is excellent. Quality of the rooms and fabric of the public areas are top notch. The pool and cleanliness are very good. In my opinion this hotel is hard to beat, I will be returning to this hotel, there are numerous restaurants and bars in the hotel all exceptional quality and at least 2 bars -Brit Bar and Bubbles very pleasant and no crowds.

This is an excellent hotel with large comfortable rooms and lovely grounds next to the river in Chaing Mai. Taking breakfast sat next to the river is a lovely relaxing experience. The standards of upkeep and service are very high. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and truly want to make your stay enjoyable. The concierge team, BJ and Kevin, need particular mention as they were so helpful arranging trips and just giving general advice.

My husband and I got married at the Anantara Chiang Mai on January 19th, and it was absolutely magical! From the moment we started planning, the entire team was fantastic, but a special shout-out has to go to our incredible wedding coordinator, Chanisa (Aey). Ms Aey's attention to detail was simply outstanding. She anticipated every need, offered creative suggestions, and truly went above and beyond to make our wedding vision a reality. She was incredibly organized, responsive, and a calming presence throughout the entire process. The venue itself is stunning. The colonial architecture, lush gardens, and riverside setting created the perfect romantic atmosphere. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the entire team worked seamlessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the Anantara and the warmth of the staff. Thanks to Aey and the entire team at the Anantara Chiang Mai, our wedding was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. Lovely hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and high standards of customer service. Our room was large with a daybed outside on the balcony. Cleaning standards were excellent and a small gift was left each night at turndown. We enjoyed breakfasts, bar drinks, room service dinner and as we stayed 7 nights we had a complimentary dinner for two and two massages included. This was a fantastic gift and we are very appreciative. I was unfortunately ill on the day booked for the spa but my husband said it was one of the best he has experienced. The hotel swimming pool is beautiful but was alas too cold for us to swim in. We also needed a jumper at breakfast time ( cool January ). We travelled around by red truck ( songthaew) or Grab taxi. It is close to the Anusarn market which was a useful landmark for red truck drivers. Plenty to do in 7 days and we could have done more. We can recommend this hotel where we felt well looked after by staff in a truly 5 star way that we associate with this brand.

One aspect for improvement could be the room decor, as it tends to be a bit dark; however, they thoughtfully provided an extra lamp to address this. The bed is very comfortable, and I believe adding a bench for guests to put their shoes on would enhance the convenience and functionality of the room.
