We selected Le Bora Bora over other alternatives due to the quality of the overwater bungalows and the views. Both were great. We sacrificed a bit on intimacy, it’s a fairly large resort, quality of service, and quality of food. We were very happy with the “end of the pontoon” bungalow that had amazing views and 100% privacy. During our stay at least it was a bit winder than the rooms closer to shore. The water was a bit choppy there but we just played in the crustal clear water closer to shore. The food was okay, not particularly expensive, but nothing exceptional. We booked several activities iinclufing snorkeling with a lunch on private beach. Unfortunately, the hotel canceled that an hour before we departed, and then scrambled to get us a snorkeling outing that wasn’t great with no lunch.

A simply superior experience. The beauty of this resort alone would be enough to capture your heart, but it’s all the other layers that make it truly special. The grounds are pristine. Take a proper walk all through the garden area to truly appreciate all they do to surround you with beauty. The interior design and decor feel so in tune with the nature as well. The warmth and kindness of absolutely every staff member is felt in literally every interaction. The bartenders at Manuia are especially fun. Lokeni and Poenui, in particular, simply made our day. The meals were good (although the veal chop underwhelms). Buy for a standout dining experience, go to Poerava. We did the 5 course chef’s menu with wine pairings. It was genuinely memorable. The bungalows are incredible. We could barely tear ourselves away from our over water deck. We also loved taking in the activity in our own little coral patch under our viewing glass. We swam with sting rays everyday right off our bungalow. The rooms as well somehow feel modern yet totally in step with Polynesian vibes. Basically this is the type of destination and resort that will stay with you forever. Although once definitely doesn’t feel like enough, you’ll be planning a return trip before you leave. We just spent ten days at this beautiful resort and had a wonderful experience. It was actually our third visit and each stay has been fantastic. The property is located on its own motu so is quiet and feels secluded, though the main island is just a short boat ride away. It’s easy to get back and forth if you like. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and the entire resort is beautifully landscaped and maintained. We stayed in an overwater bungalow with gorgeous views and there is great snorkeling right in the lagoon. The concierges are very helpful in arranging other activities as well. An idyllic place to stay.

Fraudulent business practices. I found a better price on Booking.com - Pearl Resorts direct partner. It met all of the terms and conditions of their Best Rate Guarantee. When I requested the price match, after two weeks reservations stated the “comparison website is beyond their control” and “we are unable to provide you with an explanation”. They even stated in their email that they DO price match with Booking.com but since the price was “too low” they wouldn’t honour it. They thanked me for pointing out the lower price so they could “fix” it and then stated they won’t honour it. The pearl resorts “Best Rate Guarantee” is a fraudulent policy.

We have dreamed of visiting Bora Bora for as long as I can remember. It was better than we could’ve ever imagined! I knew the choice of resort would be crucial. We ultimately chose Le Bora Bora after reading countless reviews. We could not be happier with our decision. It’s not a perfect resort but everything positive outshined the few things negative. We were here to celebrate a milestone birthday. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were greeted warmly and graciously before being whisked away on their ferry to the resort. Check-in was incredibly smooth and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The staff was a highlight throughout our entire stay. Everywhere we went and throughout all of our interactions, the staff were so delightful. They really went out of their way to make our special trip more enjoyable. We had booked a pool overwater bungalow. We were given room 118 and it was so far beyond even our lofty expectations. The room was exquisite. It had a huge bathroom with a big king bed and a small sitting area. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved the glass floor at the end of the bed where we could watch the fish swim. There was a small refrigerator that was updated every day, but we took everything out and used it for our wine. As much as we loved the room itself, what you pay for is the outdoor deck! We had one of the most beautiful views in any hotel room we’ve ever had. It was glorious. We had a table and chairs, a large round sofa, a hammock, and of course, a small pool overlooking the gorgeous blue water of the lagoon and the verdant green mountains of the mainland. When we travel, we tend to not spend much time in our hotel room because we want to get out and explore. Although we did get out every day to explore this beautiful island, the room was so unbelievably perfect that when we came back from whatever excursion we were on we were simply delighted to do nothing and sit outside in the sun, swim in the lagoon, read, listen to music or simply be. The resort itself is exquisite. It is very traditionally Polynesian. It was so unbelievably satisfying to simply walk the beach with its palm trees or the grounds itself with its artwork and meticulously cared for environment. At times, it felt like you were in a Monet painting and then a few feet later you’re in a tropical paradise. We absolutely loved the feel and design of this resort. Our opinion is that this resort is wonderful, but not perfect. The couple things we experienced that we feel should be addressed is #1 - the food. The food was good. It just wasn’t exceptional. I hate even writing this because of how much we loved this resort but we have to be honest. The only two really good meals we had in Bora Bora were at the Saint James restaurant and Villa Mahana both off property. The food at the hotel was simply average. There was nothing remarkable. We did enjoy the buffet breakfast, but we are very simple breakfast eaters - some scrambled eggs, a croissant and some fruit. It is really hard to mess that up. Much of the food outside of breakfast tasted bland or without any pizzazz. If there is one thing this resort could correct to make it even better than it already is would be too somehow fix this issue with the food. It wasn’t only us, every single person we spoke to, came across and had excursions with complained about the same exact thing. For this cost, we expected a better quality of food. Secondly, again, if we are being honest, was the spa. It is exceptionally beautiful. However, we both had massages that felt incredibly robotic and scripted. Afterwards, both my wife and I shared notes and each massage was done exactly the same way at exactly the same pace. We were simply ignored when we told the spa before and during where on our bodies we would like our massages to be focused. I think with better communication between the customer and the masseuse this could be easily fixed. I will also chalk this up as maybe just a bad day at the spa. Hopefully others experienced much better quality. Lastly, the gym. We worked out every day and with the level of humidity the gym is simply far too hot. There wasn’t any air conditioning we could feel and the fans didn’t work to cool things off well enough. Also, for most of our trip, one of the treadmills was broken. Overall, besides the snafu with the spa and our experience with the food, I would rate this resort incredibly high. It’s not quite a Five Star experience, but could be if the quality of the food is addressed. The things this resort has done right they have done very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property. We became very friendly with many of the staff and we’re very sad to leave. It’s my hope one day we make it back to Bora Bora. We would without hesitation stay at this resort once again, crossing our fingers, Management continues to improve the experience.

From the time we were greeted at the dock until we deposited back a week later we were treated with kindness and competency. The hostess warned me that the room was a long way off the shore but I liked the privacy. We could look at the fish shark and rays on the long overwater path and admire the mountain and stars at night. We had an overwater bungalow with a view of the little islands surrounding the reef. We had champagne fruit and cookies in our room and a minibar with beer soda and snacks. Breakfast was a buffet that included a grill for eggs. In addition to the regular fare there was local food crepes juices fish plenty for anyone. We had lunch at the pool bar and the main restaurant which had the same menu while another restaurant was being remodeled. The food was varied and tasty. Drinks were too good! The weekly evening dance performance included audience participation some local guests were equally entertaining. We were helped every day by the concierge who booked dinner snorkeling trips and a car rental. They were welcoming and patient with us. Absolutely recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights at Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts at a Garden Villa with Pool, but we can not say that we are looking forward to come back, given the value for the price (around 1000€/night). Pros: the white sand beach with crystal clear turquoise water and the mountain in the back are breathtaking views for those who want rest and relaxing days, the pool of our villa was very intimate and also the garden, many marine wildlife to admire at night from the pontoon (manta rays, sharks, tuna fish). Cons: the resort is located on a separated island and you do not have many things to do there (just a short walk through the tropical forest-around 15 min) -they have a ferry shuttle which take you to the main island, but you are advised to take a taxi, rent a bike or a car. Unfortunately, you do not have many things to do neither in the capital city - Vaitape, only a few shops, maximum 2-3 hours should be more than sufficient. - the cleaning service was of very low quality, even though we put the cleaning sign outside the room when we left in the morning, they would come at around 2-3 PM - Very few food options for dinner: only the main restaurant and another gourmet restaurant which was under reconstruction, a Sushi bar just for sushi - The breakfast was mainly the same everyday, very few vegan options (only fruit and salad), need to use the same cutlery for every dish That being said, it depends on what you are looking for , but I think there are many other resorts to choose from.
