We stayed at HHV in the Rainbow Tower for two nights before a cruise, and then two nights after. Both rooms had an ocean view. Friday nights are fireworks on the beach, which are beautiful! Overall we had a great stay. Pros: Perfect location on Waikiki beach. If you want to enjoy beach time, this is the place to stay! The ocean view from the Rainbow Tower is stunning! Shower is a tub-shower combo, not a shower stall. Bed was super comfortable. Almost anything you need is right on the property, including Starbucks, ABC store, and more. Also walking distance to a big shopping area with lots of restaurants and stores. Multiple pools to choose from. Check in staff was very helpful and accommodated an early check in both times. The property, the landscaping, is so tropical and gorgeous! Could use a little improvement: Our first room had toenail clippings on the floor when we got to the room, and a stain on one of the sheets. (But the second room was immaculate!) The gym had a lot of cardio equipment that was out of service, including one of the two Peloton bikes. The Peloton that was working is rusty and looks like it needs some work. At the pool, we stepped away from our chairs for ten minutes and came back to find a sign saying if we weren’t back soon our stuff would be taken. I understand not wanting chairs saved but I’ve never seen a hotel do this before, wasn’t a fan. It made us nervous every time we went in the water that if we we swam too long we would come back to find our stuff taken away.

What a fun experience we had at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Clair S was amazing at the front desk! We were able to get an early check in which was awesome and she was so kind and accommodating. We are local, so we are already planning our next Staycay!

The iconic Rainbow Tower, within the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, was our ideal home during our O'ahu vacation. Speaking of location, it is second to none, as it is right on the beach, as well as next door to what is now called the Ali'i Tower that has replaced the original Ocean Tower, where Elvis got his quarters when shooting the "Blue Hawaii" movie back in 1961. The Rainbow Tower was built just a few years later, and it is known for its world's largest and tallest ceramic tile mosaics decorating both of its side walls, each featuring over 16,000 tiles. From a guest's perspective, the rooms are comfortable, each one features a balcony, with the ones on the higher floors offering fabulous views. The Bali Oceanfront restaurant downstairs is a top-notch steakhouse, but it also serves breakfasts. It may be a little overpriced, but the food and service are great. Alternatively, there are quite a few restaurants within the confines of the village that offer a choice of other cuisines, so everyone will likely find what they like.

Hotel is amazing and the staff is great. Everyone was super helpful and kind to us during our time here. Special shout-out to Chad B. He was extremely helpful. Location is great - close to the beach and to several restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone staying in this region.

We had a wonderful time at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Chad B. in particular was incredible! Extremely helpful, kind, and professional. Check in was smooth and the room was very nice. The hotel has wonderful amenities as well. Overall, I highly recommend!

This is our 6th trip. Every stay has been at this resort. We even came during covid and it was still top notch service. The rooms, the location to beach and dining and amenities always meet expectations. We plan on returning next year and bringing family.

Cristina was very accommodating of my need to work during the day and she would return to clean our room when convenient for me. Always with a smile. She was very friendly and thorough! You can tell she cares about her guests. Highly recommend.

It was a perfect stay...but it didn't start out that way. I made a reservation for a suite many months ago when they were having a "suite sale", and what a deal it was. Almost half off. However, I was a little confused by some of the wording describing the...

It was a perfect stay...but it didn't start out that way. I made a reservation for a suite many months ago when they were having a "suite sale", and what a deal it was. Almost half off. However, I was a little confused by some of the wording describing the room...in the list of amenities it said "balcony", but then it also said "there is not a balcony in all rooms". So I called. "oh no madame, of COURSE the suites all have balconies - what that means is that there might not be a balcony outside both the bedroom and living room". Ok, I'm fine with that. Little did I know how misinformed that employee was. Fast forward to last week when we checked in. Dean was so gracious, congratulating us on our 48th anniversary, thanking us for being Diamond members...then sticking us in a suite with NO balcony! I called, and was given the "not all suites have balconies", I reiterated what I was told, was asked the name of who told me that (from 6 months ago???). I know some people really don't care about/are afraid of/have kids and don't want a balcony, but I'm not one of them. I dug in my heels and finally Dean miraculously found us a suite with a balcony. If you don't have one for a high anniversary Diamond guest, who are you giving them to? My only surmise is that we paid such a low price...but sorry, HILTON is the one who offered the sale, I just took advantage of it. So the situation is that the top, 15th floor suites have no balconies, but the 14th floor does. If a balcony is important to you, INSIST on the 14th floor. Other than the rocky start the stay was wonderful as usual (our 5th time in the Ali'i tower, about 8th or 9th stay at the HHV overall throughout the years). One other probably TMI fact about the suites - those Japanese TOTO toilets are a hoot!

We went for our second honeymoon and stayed at Kilia Tower on 22nd floor. The view overlooked the ocean and tide pool area and was breathtaking picturesque sight that was gorgeous. The resort has myriad of amenities from restaurants, fitness room, shops, recreational areas, and entertainment. There’s firework on Friday and luau on sight. There are 8 towers that accommodates over 8000 guests. It’s great for couples and family alike.

The hotel has multiple different towers and has a lot of shopping and dining. We stayed in the Diamondhead tower with a view of the ocean. The room was large and included a separate sitting area and balcony. There is a tiny fridge in the room, but no microwave. The room was clean - but dated. Paint chipping. For two days in the hallway outside our room there was extra furniture stored (not sure why). Our toilet also broke twice. The hotel grounds are crowded. There are 4 pools - but pretty far apart. One pool was in the middle of the towers next to the bar. The larger pool is over near the beach. There is a smaller pool with a water slide near the lagoon and the adult pool is very small and on the fourth floor of one of the towers. The pools are very crowded and getting a chair is hard. Some people came early and put down towels to hold their spot, but staff would remove them if no one is in the chair after an hour. The lagoon is just a big pond to swim in. Good for families, but you do not need to be staying at the Hilton to use the lagoon. Lots of shopping and dining on the property but overall not impressed. The staff was very friendly. One disappointing thing and I know it is very minor, but none of the many tiki torches on the property were ever lit. Other hotels all had tiki torches every night. I asked about it and the staff wasn't sure but said they hadn't been lit since COVID. It just added to the dissapointment. Parking is $70 a night. Save money by parking at the Ala Wa Boat Harbor which is right across the street from the lagoon. It is Public and $1 an hour. You can only do 24 hrs at a time, but after it expires you can just restart it. We only had an issue finding a space on Friday night because of the fireworks, but those are over at 8 and then plenty of spots. It's done through an app so we would estimate the time we were leaving and if needed more time, just used the app. We spent about $12-$16 a day instead of $69. If we go back to Waiki, we would stay elsewhere. The Hale Koa Hotel is right next door (actually their lobby was closer to our tower than the Hilton). We wandered through there. It was newer, quieter, beautiful secluded grounds and a much nicer less crowded pool area with chairs looking to the ocean. There was entertainment every night at the outdoor bar and we sat on our balcony at the Hilton and listened to it. You are just a two minute walk into the Hilton grounds, so you can still access everything there.

We stayed in the Ali’i tower for 9 nights. Our room was nicely furnished and had a private balcony. The toiletries provided were high quality and paraben free. The shower water pressure was good. Also provided was a daily supply of bottled water, a Keurig coffee maker with a selection of coffees and tea, and a mini fridge. The beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows were way too flat. Three stacked at bedtime collapsed to the thickness combined of one in less than an hour. We longed for an ottoman so we could put our feet up without having to sit on the bed. The wifi was decent. The hotel does not have self service laundry facilities. You could buy several pair of new socks at Walmart for the same as the cost to launder just one pair. The ice machine on our floor was out of service during our entire stay. One day our housekeeper left us with folded linens that had not been laundered, one of the towels was wet and one of the wash cloths had fresh makeup on it. On another day housekeeping missed our room entirely. When we notified guest services and requested fresh towels and more coffee, there was no apology for our service being missed. As with everything on the island, prices are high. Self parking was $69 per day. There were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, several were more affordable. The resort has several towers. A luau is held on the roof of the central bizarre each afternoon and evening which made for constant noise. As soon as the luau ended one of the lounges had live music blaring until late into the evening. Would loved to have had our terrace door open in the evening but it was just too noisy. There are also a variety of large gatherings on the grounds and beach with more loud music and speakers. The rooms themselves are quiet when the terrace door is shut.

Well what can I say... Chad made our welcome so much better than we expected. He was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. From the room to the hotel. Everything is fantastic but what makes it better is how Chad treated us. Thank you!!!!

It is a good half hour drive from the airport and it has a very busy city feeling but everything is in walking distance from the hotel, especially Lepparts ice cream! We were in a very nice room in the Palace that even had a Starbucks in the lobby! Don’t forget to do an unforgettable Pearl Harbor tour. The rooftop luau was excellent although expensive. Check in and check out was simple but you will need the resort’s map for reference!

Large gym that was clean and had lots of machines! A nice adult pool too. All the staff that we encountered were knowledgeable and nice! Great room with all the amenities and a wonderful balcony. I’m already planning my next trip. Oh and also a great location to walk to restaurants and shopping!

Overall our stay has been absolutely perfect We have had the most fabulous time, the restaurants pool beaches, lagoon, trips organised by Sam, Jane Antonio our housekeeper, all were super efficient, and nothing was too much trouble highly recommend

Kris at Bali Oceanfront Restaurant made our special night even more special. So helpful and attentive! Loved the food and the service! Beautiful sunset and fabulous view made the perfect setting. Definitely recommend spending an evening there!

It is possible to eat gluten free at the two main restaurants at the resort so that helps a lot! The grounds are gorgeous and impeccably landscaped. It is like escaping in to another world. There are several pools, a fitness center, spa, and of course the beach. Lots of shopping at every level, from affordable to luxury. The staff really do go above and beyond to be helpful!

Let’s see where do I begin… check-in was alright thankfully we arrived on a Wednesday so it wasn’t horrible and when we finally did get to check in, we received a upgrade, which was very nice. I think the staff is great. What’s lacking, however is the hotel amenities and accommodation itself. I’ve been to most of the pools and only the super and tapa pool and maybe the the kiddie pool were “resort” like. I stayed in the Ali’i tower and the only good thing was the elevator was fast as heck only took about a minute or less to go from floor 15 to 1. The other pools are outdated and cracked which might be why they’re doing renovations in late April, but for the price you pay and the exuberant “resort fee” I would probably not stay here again that doesn’t even take into account the abundance of kids running around rampant. This is probably a better place for families however, I had a good deal so thought I would give it a try. There’s tons to do, however it’s a bit of a walk to get to any of the more prime spots. The firework show was OK we our room was kitty corner to the show but maybe lasted less than 10 minutes total. And don’t even get me started on the cost of food at these restaurants. You would think your dining at a five-star restaurant for the price you pay that you get food quality of a two star restaurant.

We celebrated our anniversary with a week in the Aliki’i Tower and we very pleased. The entire resort was clean and the people were very pleasant. We dined in several restaurants on property with no complaints. The beach access was fantastic as was the pool Open to tower guests only....

We were actually surprised how quiet it was in our room, knowing how many people were at the resort (6th floor). We were a tad surprised at a few superficial issues that should have been corrected (paint chipped, damaged cabinet face) which are not typical of other Hilton properties. Our only regret is that we had to Leave!

We are in the middle of a 6-night stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village in a beach view room in the Rainbow tower and are having an excellent vacation. The campus of the Hawaiian Village took us a couple of days to learn how to navigate, but now that we know where we are going, it’s easy to see how you could stay here all week and never step foot off the property. Several restaurants to choose from. Excursions and luaus to book, and shopping and ABC convenience store on-site. The beach is nicely kept and easily accessible from the property. It’s so convenient that if we want to go jump in a pool, we simply leave our blanket on the beach and walk the 25 yards to the pool for a few minutes and back. We’ve never stayed on a beach that is so convenient! Maid service is great and timely. We prepaid for breakfast at the hotel and have really enjoyed our morning oceanfront meals at the Tropics Bar and Grill. Lisa has been our server for two of our mornings and she is great! One day we had not used up all our credit and asked if we wanted to add juice to our order to use up the remaining balance. Yes please! The spirit of aloha is definitely with Lisa. 🌴🌺☀️❤️ We have been walking to the International Marketplace…about .75 mi from the hotel…almost daily for restaurants, our luau experience. It’s a nice walk down the beach and through a park. This hotel complex is reasonably priced. The staff is attentive and helpful. It is not a luxury hotel, but we are very happy with what we have experienced and received during our stay.

This was a 10 year anniversary trip so we took them up on an upgrade offer for an ocean view room in the Rainbow Tower for $40 a night more. So happy we did. The rainbow tower had a great view of the ocean, harbor, and lagoon on the side we stayed on. The beach was within minutes of stepping out of the tower and off the hotel property. I would consider it beachfront access. The hotel was clean, staff so friendly and the village was extremely convenient. I had never experienced a “village” style hotel before so this was very convenient for getting snacks and drinks for our room . It was also nice to have restaurants close if we were too tired after activities or a long travel day. The Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki was the perfect hotel for us. We didn’t have time to check out the pool but the one closest to our elevator looked appealing. We also enjoyed their happy hour at one of the bars. Our travel time at this location was 3/28-4/2 so our time there was long enough to get a good feel.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and well stocked each day. View overlooking the pool and ocean and the sounds all added to a fabulous vacation. Our daily housekeeper was Cristina, and she was always very cheerful and helpful!

Not too far to walk to Waikiki beach. We did notice pool attendants keeping on eye on towels left on chairs for extended times without people ever using them, which is nice and pretty rare. Fireworks fun if you're here on a Friday night.
