Reviews of The Landing Lake Tahoe Resort & Spa
Had such a great time at The Landing! We tried the spa and Jimmys restaurant and were pleased with both. Exceptional staff members include: Christina (spa), Alex (spa), Mel (front desk), and Charles (front desk). We loved the tub with jets in our premier king room.

My wife and I booked a spontaneous 2 night trip, we wanted lake views the ability to bring our dog along for the adventure. The Landing provided the perfect location right on the lake and down the street from Heavenly Village. The dog friendly Van Sickle trail is near by as well as Bijou Dog Park not too far away. We opted for a Lakefront King Room that did not disappoint! We scored 2 amazing sunsets as our balcony was in perfect location to watch the sunset behind the mountains and between the trees, perfect framing! Since we went in February right after a snowstorm it made for epic scenery and the fireplace positioned just inside the balcony door was a perfect setting to sit back and enjoy the warmth as we gazed out to the snowy backdrop. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating, and kind. We will definitely be back!

Lazy front desk staff. Limited restaurant hours. Top dollar price for Motel 6 Service. Shuttle guys were the only people care

From the beginning our experience at the Landing has been bad. I will return and give a more detail review. But in short. We paid top dollar for second rate service. Ladies up at front desk are lazy and need to be fired. They have not made sure lobby is cleaned of empty classes etc. Complimentary hot chocolate was out regularly while the front desk sat around and did nothing. Multiple things that i will not continue addressing. Drivers of shuttles rocked and were doing more to maintain the lobby than the lobby staff. Multiple small issues with room that just added up and coupled with lazy staff just totally ruined our experience. Value not in the price paid

It's a glorified motel (with all the noise of a motel) at a resort price. The "resort fee" for not the best maintained bikes, uneven service, and a 12 yard motel pool is laughable and our room had a funky smell and furniture much worse for the wear than what you see on their website (the bathroom was also stupid dim).
Yes, the view is lovely and the spa was great. But the rest was just getting nickled and dimed for a sub par stay. We were disappointed and I wish I'd seen the less flattering reviews before we booked. They are spot on.

What a great place to stay! Second time to Tahoe and my wife and I thought we’d try a new place rather than Edgewood, so we booked 4 nights at The Landings Resort. Absolutely loved it. Easy parking, great location and a super nice smaller family friendly resort. The staff were amazing, especially Charles and Mel. Mel dropped me off to the golf one day and all of us to wherever we needed to go. Perfect!
We went to Jimmys for our first night dinner and our waiter was awesome. The food was super nice too. Very good. Had breakfast there 3 mornings too. Was too easy not to go.
The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Nice little fireplace and sitting area. We booked the premier lake front room (3301) which was great. Nice balcony / patio on the top floor overlooking the lake. Super nice.
Haven’t got a bad word to say really. My wife and I had a blast and would certainly go back there again.
Thanks again Charles and Mel for being rock stars!

Our Stay at The Landing Lake Tahoe
Friendly, efficient staff. Willing to help out with anything needed. View of Lake Tahoe from our room was spectacular. Hotel location is convenient to pretty much everywhere. Jimmy’s is a good restaurant, if a little expensive. Overall stay was very positive. I’d recommend The Landing if you’re heading to Tahoe.

My wife and I stayed at The Landing Lake Tahoe Resort & Spa for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The room was nice and had a nice tub and shower as well as his & her sinks. We ate at Jimmy's and enjoy dinner there on our first night. We used the spa facilities the following day and enjoyed that. We went on a 4 hour lake tour on the Monday of our checkout date. We definitely will be visiting Lake Tahoe again in the years to come.

When we got to our room I was so unhappy. The room was small. I reserved a room that was to have a lake view and all I saw was cars and people. I couldn’t see the lake at all. There was no privacy as people could look directly into the room from the street. I wrote a very different review last night. I decided to delete that review because when the manager read it he called tight away and made things right. He offered to move us to a different room. And for our trouble he gave us a couple perks. Still that isn’t why I changed my opinion. I changed it because he took responsibility for the mess and apologized. He said he wants people staying here to be like family and have the experience they expected. In a day when customer service seems to be lost it can be found at the Landing Resort and Spa.

Beautiful resort! Amazing views! Great amenities! The beach access was great! Great location! The staff was very helpful, especially Charles at the front desk! He went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed! Thank you, Charles!
Charles was super helpful
Nice experience. Newly renovated rooms. Super responsive staff. Special mention to Charles who helped us out above and beyond what could have been expected. Probably worth the extra for a direct beach view. Overall I highly recommend in this price range

First, this hotel boasts itself to be a 5-star hotel.
From reception to room cleanliness, parking space, and amenities, this is closer to a 3-star hotel. The views from some rooms are worth five stars, but that is it.
On arrival, the bellboy checked us in because the receptionist was unavailable. No one took the time to explain the hotel's amenities.
The parking spots were difficult to find because many trailers were parked everywhere in the hotel parking lot.
Getting to the room: The view is fantastic, but there are no amenities besides coffee pods.
There are tea bags but no kettles for hot water. When we asked for one, they said they had none.
This is a pet-friendly hotel, the pet cookie jar at reception was empty, and the doggy poop bags at the parking site were empty for the whole stay.
When asking the reception about things to do at Lake Tahoe, only one bell boy knew where to have a nice walk, everyone else did not have a clue.
The hotel has no lounge or rest area

I also want to thank Charles and Luisa for their kindness and willingness to help, at the lobby we were greeted warmly and gave us very valuable information to make our stay more memorable. The location is unbeatable right in front of the lake!

This is a mixed review. Positives: stayed in a Premiere King, well appointed, huge room, fireplace, frig, wetbar, comfortable bed, clean, luxury bathroom.
Restaurant, Jimmy’s, excellent food all day and eve, huge portions for large prices. Be sure to share. Chilaquiles, best I’ve had but again, share. Same with lobster pasta. You get a pass to the private beach across street on the lake but a beach chair rents for $10. Hotel has a 2nd floor huge deck with great views and comfortable furniture. Pool area is in rear of property so no view. Friendly staff and great shuttle service.
Negatives. BEWARE OF ROOM CHOICE!
Only rooms that SPECIFY lake view have that gorgeous view. Other rooms in any category have balconies on the parking lot so is really more of an expensive motel than a hotel justifying the high prices. Even rooms with a lake view may have balconies on overlooking the street or that large public deck aforementioned. First floor lakefront rooms really have a view of parked cars and pedestrians; no privacy or unobstructed lake view. SO, call before booking to avoid expensive disappointment. Also, the room had no chest of drawers so you must live out of your suitcase.
Decor in restaurant and public areas is dated and many halls and walls need paint; we saw some painting going on. Finally, when we arrived early and utilized the pool ladies restroom, it had not had maintenance at 12:30pm and was dirty. This was immediately corrected when I informed the front desk, but made a poor first impression.
All in all, the room itself was very nice but more of a motel than a resort in feel.

You cannot beat this location. Right across the street is the beach and the view from our room was excellent. The staff here is outstanding and very helpful. The free local shuttle service was also helpful to get around to nearby stops and the drive was a wealth of information.
