First, the good. The staff here is simply the best we have ever experienced. I want to give a special shout-out to Kizzie Ann, who worked so hard to make our visit perfect. Beyond her, everyone we met was pleasant, outgoing, and helpful. Even the housekeeping staff was personable and pleasantly outgoing. The food in the pool side restaurant was notably great and no bar failed to make perfect cocktails, no coaching needed.
Next, the mediocre. As a result of some back and forth, we ended up with the presidential suite, moving from an oceanfront king room. Both rooms were adequately, but not sumptuously, furnished. I found this odd for the presidential suite. In addition, that 1800 square foot suite had no powder room!
Now, the bad. The room that we originally booked was an “oceanfront” room. What we got was an “ocean view” room, being back some 200 yards from the ocean and being able to see it only if we stood in the right spot. This was a $1500 per night room! When I complained, we were offered an upgrade to the presidential suite, but for a $3000 per night additional. (I was told that this was a $10,000 room.) I really don’t feel that a solution where the hotel received $3000 per night for an otherwise unoccupied room was much of a concession, under the circumstances.
We also had a problem with the commodes in both rooms. Apparently, these were not changed out in the renovation. They were not “comfort height” and lacked soft close lids. Beyond these notable shortcomings, both commodes stopped up within one day of our occupation of the rooms. In the big suite, they came and changed the commode for a modern one after we reported an issue.
Finally, there was the issue of the water. I have never smelled water in a hotel that even approached the problem here. The water smelled like a burnt match, recently extinguished. This was true in both rooms, but not at the condo next door that our friends were staying in, so the municipal system wasn’t the issue. Ugh. We drank bottled water.
In summary, this was an expensive, but disappointing experience. Given the extraordinary efforts of the staff, I couldn’t grade this down as much as I ordinarily would have. However, removing that favor, I would give this 3 stars, at best and maybe even two, given that the price and the fact that we started out with a misrepresentation concerning our accommodations.

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic service. Food on all levels is top notch. Rooms are lovely. Location is perfect. But. The place is overrun with children. You will find fewer loud obnoxious screaming children at Disney world. The hotel caters to children more than adults. That’s all fine if they would at least offer an adults only pool. Section of the beach for adults only. A restaurant that doesn’t specialize in grilled cheese and chicken strips. If you want a nice quiet couples Caribbean getaway. This isn’t the place.

My wife and I just spent 5 nights at this property and this was our 2nd time staying here. Service was spectacular. The entire staff was polite, friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure you are having a great stay. Attendants at the beach and pool are great! The gym is very nice size with all state of the art equipment. The hotel is very big so you will do some walking back and forth when you are heading out to dinner depending on where your room is located. Taikun Japanese restaurant located off the lobby is excellent. We have stayed at several Ritz properties and this was clearly our favorite and is top notch!!! Look forward to going back.

10/10 would recommend the Sunset kayak that the ritz offers through their Ambassadors for the environment programs which was a great way to see the mangroves up close, they have a Super knowledgeable team with Fiona and Laura finding all the macro life hidden in the water.
Exceeded our expectations

This trip from the very first second to the very last. The way it was decorated for Christmas driving up to the resort. Al the beautiful trees. The men outside were always very attentive taking our car from us to park. When we wanted the car it would be there writhing 2 minutes. They were always there opening the door. So kind. Took pictures for us every night and suggested a few locations out front. We got the club lounge and really never realized we checked in. We were escorted into the lounge given drinks and within minutes our room was ready. Lunch was just cleaned up but they offered to make us whatever we wanted. The staff is the lounge is awesome. I enjoyed two of them women. We talked every morning. They knew us by name. They knew what we drank. They made us a special drink arrangement with juices. The one man was particularly awesome in there too. He would tell me where the elf was every day so I took take pictures for the kids back at home. The room was fabulous. House keeping was fabulous. Everything was so so clean. I forgot my toothbrush and they had one for me within minutes. The bed was so comfy and so were the pillows. The walk from the resort tower to the ocean isn’t far. It’s exactly 2 minutes and 18 seconds. I took a video for a friend and it’s a nice walk looking at all the art. The pool area is great. The sunscreen is so easy to access with little cups to take with you. They have several spf’s and cooling lotion. Lense wipes. There is also a location for this at the beach. Michael at the beach is awesome! So quick to get us chairs every day. The wait staff at the beach is great. The sand out front is nice and there’s a nice beach front. They have a store you can buy rafts or noodles. The restaurants on the resort are fabulous. The waitresses at Adiamo were so sweet. We were repeat visitors and they remembered us. The basketball court is very nice and so is the kids splash pad. The movie are for the kids is so nice too. The resort is very kid friendly. We enjoyed the elf sparky so much and hunted for him every day. The resort made us feel like kids again enjoying all the Christmas spirit and decor. We were a couple so at times on the beach it was a bit much when we wanted some quiet with all the kids. Michael knew at the beach though to put us where there weren’t a bunch of kids. It was really only 1.5 days there were a lot of kids and I figured it was because it was right before Christmas. If you have children though this place is extremely catering towards kids. Even gave us little gifts for our kids to take home. I can’t say enough about the staff at this resort. It was an amazing vacation. Everything exceeded our expectations. The grounds were kept beautifully. I can’t say enough good about this place. We will be back and next time with our kids.

The Ritz has taken a step backwards. We just returned for the first time since COVID shut the island down and the service level and professionalism has decreased. Prior to COVID we visited this Ritz every year since 2007. I tried calling guest services to alert them we were coming to celebrate my wife's birthday and that I wanted to get a bottle of champagne for our room. I got transferred to an answering machine, I left a detailed message, with zero follow up. The first day at the pool bar we ordered a bottle of champagne ($150) and I asked the female bar tender to make sure it was ice cold. She said of course and then promptly brought out a warm bottle, popped the top and fill our glasses with warm champagne. It is impossible to get champagne back in the bottle. She simply did not listen and did not care. In essence, our first day on property was a slap in the face of bush-league service. This Ritz used to be flawless.
On the other hand, this is still a beautiful property in a great location. Rooms are clean. Most of the staff are great! Godfrey at the pool bar is a long-term gem! Alex and team at the Seven bar are fantastic. There is a top-notch spa and great gym facility. However, for the price, and given past performance, I expected better.

This was our 4th visit and we can’t wait to go back!
It’s not just the great location, food & restaurants that make us return, for us it’s all about the staff who deliver such excellent and consistent customer service. Everyone you meet greets you, often by name, and asks if there is anything more that they can do to assist. There were lots of surprises and nice touches once again during our stay - they really do know how to surprise and delight their customers.
In particular, we’d like to thank the entire Seven breakfast team (especially Rosalyn, Irene, Rushi, OD, Michelle, Chene, James, David, Mufas and Carl). Each morning they made us smile, we had so much fun with everyone and they provided first class service, we felt more like family & friends rather than guests.
Likewise to the Saint June Bar team (in particular Irene, Christine, Armand & Timothy) with whom we enjoyed many a lunchtime drink, they were so warm & friendly.
We were delighted to meet Anisley in Housekeeping once again. As before she made our stay extra special by looking after us so well.
Service on the beach was attentive, helpful and friendly as were the bell boys, front desk & concierge staff.
The danger of listing names is that we may miss someone and we would hate to offend anyone. So to all the ladies & gentlemen, thank you all so much for a fantastic stay, you really made our holiday and we look forward to returning.

We just had an amazing experience at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman and will definitely return. Anne K from Guest Relations was fantastic and really helped set the tone for my Wife’s Birthday trip! Munna from the front desk really helped set the bar high for top-notch service and we were not disappointed all week. Other standouts during our time there include the staff at Seven, especially Mafas, Shevi, James, and Desi. Lanie in the in-room dining department was extremely friendly and included a little surprise for my Wife’s birthday! Samar was our housekeeping attendant and was very friendly and nice. At St June, we had a lot of great experiences but Christine at the bar and Karelys went above and beyond. At Andiamo, our server Lawrence and the host “P” provided great service to go along with a great meal. Shoutout to the Cacio e Pepe dish but everything was great, including the Gelato cart out front. Lastly, the Beach attendants were really friendly and speedy considering how much beach they have to cover serving drinks and food. We look forward to our return visit!
