Nice quiet hotel. Well located, within walking distance of many restaurants including St Lawrence Gap. Large rooms all facing the sea. Small pool area but nowhere near enough sunbeds - although room around pool to have more. During our 10 night stay sunbeds were all reserved by 7am! This could easily be resolved by purchasing more sunbeds - we can’t understand why the hotel hasn’t done this! There are sunbeds on the beach at a cost of 30 bajan dollars per day.

Wonderful hotel sitting directly in the beach. Walking distance to numerous restaurants in Worthing , Rockley and the Gap. Spotlessly clean and very helpful staff. Pool area has great views of the beach and evening sunsets. Super beach for swimming with several beach bars serving great food.

Do not stay here if you enjoy an unobstructed view of the beautiful ocean. There is an ugly chain link barbed wire fence surrounding the pool deck. They also have very high bushes that block the view. They also bring in the umbrellas if the wind blows. We were told (lie) that there was high winds in the area so they brought them in. A walk down the beach showed no other hotel brought theirs in. 4 out of the 5 days we were there, we didn't have an umbrella. They don't have beach chairs either. You have to rent them. So stay at another hotel for better views.
Also rooms are very out dated. They were clean but just old looking. There is a nice balcony to sit on.
Location is nice. Several restaurants and stores close by.

A big shoutout to Jerry, who was a brilliant host. He made us feel so welcome and was always around to help with anything we needed, whether it was local recommendations or just a friendly chat.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, well-run beachfront hotel in Barbados, this is the one. Can’t wait to come back!

I have actually hesitated about doing this review as I don't want to tell everybody how great this place is , as we may struggle to get another booking and the prices could go through the roof.! This place truly is amazing, there is nothing to fault. Every single staff member deserves to be mentioned as they all go the extra mile. The communications by email following booking, the check in, the room cleaning service and the pool bar service were all excellent - friendly and professional. As other reviewers mention this hotel is set back from the road so does not suffer with any of the traffic noise. It is within easy walking distance from the gap in one direction and Rockley beach in the other. There is also the Worthing food court situated across the main road from the hotel. The beach outside of the hotel is one of the best and veryquiet. Next door to the hotel to the left is The Sands all inclusive hotel. This is the exact opposite of Coral Sands Everybody seems to be crammed in on lounges on the beach with music blasting. Coral sands is nothing like this. There doesn't appear to be any tour operators or package holidays. It is a very quiet relaxed atmosphere. All rooms have an outstanding view of the beach and are very well equipped for self catering. We stayed for a week in Holetown before moving south to Coral Sands and despite also being beach front in Holetown (Tropical sunset) the location of Coral Sands is much better. We would return here in a heart beat! Thank you x

Really friendly, great location, large rooms, very clean and very comfortable beds.
The beach is just outside the pool area and turtles come in first thing in the morning (but you need to be uo early). Worthing food court is 5 minutes walk, and the food there is great.

We have stayed on the island 5 times, and this is by far our favourite location!
Set back off the road, small number of rooms all with an ocean view! Perfect to relax during the day.
25 min walk to the boardwalk.
10 min walk St Lawrence gap.
Across the road from Worthing square.
The rooms are a “dated” style, but they’re extremely spacious, clean & in perfect working order.
Other bits
Pros
✅ Car park at front of hotel if you rent a car.
✅ Friendly staff.
✅ Great location.
✅ amazing sunset views.
Cons
❌ Sun beds aren’t included for the beach (however the pool area is completely fine!)

Great small hotel right on Worthing Beach in Christchurch Barbados, with the Caribbean sea rolling in on the beach at the hotel's doorstep.
The good points....
Good sized clean rooms all with wonderful sea views. The rooms (and the entire hotel) are cleaned daily and are spotless. Rooms have a King size or 2 queen size beds, aircon, armchair, table, large walk in shower, full kitchenette with fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc. The hotel pool is smallish and is right in front of the hotel between the hotel building and the beach, The hotel has a security fence to prevent any beach vendors from strolling in. There are numerous sun-beds and chairs around the pool area and parasols to provide shade. There is a hotel bar that opens from midday to mid evening. There is a hotel restaurant, but I didn't use it, so cannot comment on it.
The hotel is situated just off the main road between the airport and Bridgetown, being 10 minuets to either from the Hotel. The hotel has free parking for approx. 10 cars. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the local area and the St Lawrence Gap (the strip) is only a 5 minute walk along the road.
The BAD point.
The ONLY bad point I could raise against this hotel is that the pool and sundeck area is not manned, and doesn't have any security guards. The signs do clearly state this, and normally this is not an issue in any hotel I have been to before. However at my time in this hotel there were a number of Canadian couples who were getting drunk at the poolside all day every day, and were drinking from Glasses and Glass bottles in and around the pool area. This is a hazard and should not normally be permitted in any hotel as broken glass can be dangerous for bathers in bare feet etc. These Canadian couples spent all day drinking and smoking in the pool. One lady actually spent 4 hours in the pool without ever leaving, despite her partner bring her MANY MANY MANY drinks throughout the day. SO this lady surely must have been relieving herself in the pool as surely she couldn't contain the amount of liquid she kept taking in. Her partner was also so drunk that he fell over a number of times and needed to climb on to a sun bed as he was incapable of getting off the floor by himself. I realise that this issue is not a hotel problem as it is drunken inconsiderate customers that caused it, however if the pool was manned and watched by staff, then this kind of behaviour wouldn't occur. Because of this, we rarely used the pool, and chose to use the sea instead. It is for this reason alone that I have dropped my rating from 5 to 4. Otherwise the hotel would have a 5 out of 5 for me.

This is a lovely, chilled hotel. We had a room on the third floor. The view of the sea is stunning. We could even spot the turtles swimming below the surface and coming up for air. We saw a really big one while snorkelling just offshore. There was quite a strong current at times though. Bars and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. The rooms are big and the beds very comfortable. We had a problem with our air conditioning unit. It was fixed the day we reported it. The music from the next door hotel did not trouble us at all. It doesn’t go on late. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Very nice, small, quaint resort that is right on the beach. Check in was less than 5 minutes and the room was a very good size, including full size fridge, stove top and microwave, with a coffee pot (where do you find coffee filters on this island?). The only complaint was there were no bowls in the room! The bathroom and shower is gigantic with LOTS of room. The in-room safe was nice to leave valuables in while we were out and about. The pool was very nice with warm water, but be advised other guests will hog the lounge chairs, even though they're not supposed to leave personal property on them and go away for extended periods of time. There is access to the beach behind the property, but be advised the lounge chairs and umbrellas belong to Richard and he wants money to use them! 8-) This resort is in a fantastic location, with two convenience stores about 250 feet away, a dozen restaurants going in either direction on the main road, a full size grocery store less than half a mile away, two bus stops on the main road 300 feet +/- (going in either direction), and more! I would recommend this resort to anyone as I feel it was a very good choice for us!

My husband and I just returned from our third time at the Coral Sands Resort. The last time we were there was the month before Covid took over - and we were just thrilled to see that Barbados and this hotel are as wonderful as we remembered. The people who work there are so so lovely and we were so happy to see familiar faces! We love this hotel because it is so mellow and you can walk to The Gap for any kind of food any time you like. No frills...just relaxation. Nikki at the Bar is amazing. We did see a couple of sea turtles there BUT I highly recommend that you walk down to the Southern Palms Resort and stand on their shoreline where you are almost guaranteed to see several turtles!! Also, Happy Days Cafe is across the street from there - this is a family owned restaurant which is so great for breakfast. The only negative I feel that should be addressed is that unfortunately a rather large hotel was built next to the Coral Sands - and they have very loud entertainment most nights until 11. If you choose to stay at Coral Sands, I would highly recommend that you request a room on the western side of the hotel - away from a bit of chaos in the building next door. Otherwise, this is a perfect place for relaxation.

The rooms are very spacious, clean and have beautiful views from large balconies. Kitchens are well appointed and there is the opportunity to purchase breakfast, lunch, and drinks on premise (nice gazebo bar area overlooking the water) at reasonable prices. The only improvement would be to add a few more pool lounge chairs. We truly enjoyed staying here and have rebooked for next year.

We had a very enjoyable stay here in total 6 days either side of our trip to the Grenadines. Rooms are huge, clean and the staff there very helpful. The hotel feels spacious and not crowded, by Barbados standards, prices were very reasonable. Would come back.
Great location and resort
Booked our trip direct with the hotel as they had and still do have 30% off their rooms. We stayed in room 407 which is towards the west of the island as I had concerns about the noise from the neighbouring hotel if we stayed more towards the east side....

We stayed in room 407 which is towards the west of the island as I had concerns about the noise from the neighbouring hotel if we stayed more towards the east side. Check in was seamless and you have everything you need in the room. I’ve attached a video of n identical to ours and the views are from our balcony. We had lunch in the resort which was tasty and good value. Plenty of room around the pool and the staff are great. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy and id recommend to any to book here. Loads of restaurants, bars and supermarkets within a minutes walk. We’ll be back.

Nice centrally located hotel .. great sea views.
Well located hotel near bars and restaurants. Room was spacious with nice kitchen area. Excellent Sea View. Friendly Staff. The issue as reported by many is the lack of sunbeds & the management’s unwillingness to resolve the problem of all the sunbeds often being reserved by 6.30 am
Great Hotel, 22 pool beds for 60 guests, sunbed wars!!

This is a very clean and tidy hotel. The rooms have 2 beds, lunge area, lovely balcony if you are high up. There is an en-suite with shower, toilet and 2 hand basins.
The kitchen is plenty big enough with a microwave, kettle toaster, coffee maker, sink, just about what you need apart from an oven / air fryer.
The cleaning staff do a great job of keeping the rooms and hotel clean and tidy, Nikki in the restaurant and bar is very friendly as are the 2 guys on reception.
the hotel has 31 rooms but only 22 pool loungers and 10 parasols. Unless you get up at 5am to put towels down don't expect a sunbed / lounger. The hotel management does nothing to police this, in fact some towels were left out overnight and the guests didn't turn up till after 1200 noon.
The management say they are looking into this problem, but they have been saying it for months. This is the only thing that stops me from visiting again.

We stayed for a fortnight, had a great holiday and met some lovely people. The location is brilliant, with lovely beach, good sized clean and functional rooms that although dated, do the job very well. Views are amazing, especially the higher rooms which we were lucky enough to be allocated. Easy walking distance to great bars and restaurants.
What lets the hotel down, and is so avoidable as there is plenty of space available, is the lack of sun beds around the pool. It just means people get irritated and it can create bad feeling which quite honestly isn’t what anyone wants on their holidays! We witnessed this 1st hand on more than 1 occasion.
Sort this out for goodness sake Coral Sands, it should be very easy….then you’d get 5*s from me!
