A very good hotel and a perfect choice for a Cape Town stay. The room was well appointed with everything you may need coupled with stunning views of Table Mountain. All of the staff we came into contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extensive and has something for everyone. We would also recommend eating at the Bombay Brasserie - the foods exceptional! The spa was great too, we had a most enjoyable massage! - Very reasonable prices too! The only downside of the hotel I can think of is the fact there is no outside space to sunbathe!

Hotel stay was truly amazing. I will be visiting again. The staff truly made my wife's birthday memorable. Zem at the front desk is the best! The hotel is also in a central location with many restaurants and sightseeing experiences in walking distance.
Lovely experience when just visiting for one night. This stay over was arranged for us after having a four day journey on the Rovos Rail train from Victoria Falls to Pretoria. It was great to experience the excellent facilities. The bedroom and bathroom were exceptional.
Wonderful comfortable luxury

Check in was the best we have ever experienced from a hotel. We wore our welcome bead bracelets for our remaining time in South Africa! Our room was spacious, comfortable and overlooked Table Mountain. I was poorly during our stay and these things made me feel a little better. Breakfast was excellent and my husband assured me the cocktails in the lobby bar were pretty good too! We had a couple of issues with our stay but once we informed Clinton, the front desk manager, he couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Thank you. For us the location was great. There were a few road closures on several days due to New Year and the carnival on 4th January, directly in front of the hotel but this was not a huge problem and the hotel informed guests and offered assistance getting to and from the hotel.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay at Taj Hotel. The staff there are incredible, especially Zim who made every effort to make our stay special after she found out we were celebrating a special occasion - she really is a great asset to the hotel. I also had a parcel to send to Durban and she put me in touch with the concierge who ensured my parcel was delivered right to the door and packaged securely ( this was a service I chanced being available) . As for the hotel it has really nice pool with a sauna , the rooms are clean, the hotel has a great bar and restaurant with even late night room service meals being spot on and extensive. I really really enjoyed my stay and really hope I will be back soon !

We didn't stay at The Taj, but enjoyed a tasty dinner at the Bombay Brasserie. The mutton curry was perfect, just the right amount of heat and spices since we like our curries with medium heat. The vegetable curry too was perfect for us. The rice pudding was one of the best we've ever tasted. The whole evening became special due to the ambience of the restaurant, the attentive staff and the various free extras offered. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were booked in here for a 3 night stay and can sadly advise it is certainly not 5 star! Our “Table top Mountain View” room disappointedly turned out to be only a narrow side view . There was a fridge but no mini-bar! The one restaurant and bar called MINT is open to the public making table service horrendously slow. It is woefully under-staffed. On leaving our bags were collected from our room and then lost for some time making leaving very stressful.

The Taj was the right choice for Cape Town. Centrally located and with shops and several sights at walking distance... Market stalls in the busy pedestrian zone around the corner, yet soothing calmness as soon as you enter the lobby... We had arrived with an early flight. The hotel had sent Kevin to pick us up, and - what a nice welcome - the front desk arranged an (unexpected) early check in. Our 14th floor room in the tower wing was spacious and elegant. And though we could only see the corner of the Table Mountain we had the full view of the Lion's Head... The marble bathroom offered both tub and rain shower, fluffy towels and - I'm always grateful for that - lots of space for "shelving" one's personal toiletries. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and a tasty dinner at the Bombay Brasserie and felt pampered by the attentive and ever smiling staff. All in all this first stay of our 3-week Cape Area trip was not to be topped.

Taj! This hotel chain has been my go-to for years, and that’s exactly why I chose to stay here during my trip to Cape Town. I’m happy to say they’ve maintained the same high brand standards I’ve experienced at other Taj properties around the world. We booked a Luxury Mountain View Room for 5 nights, and it truly felt like home. The room had gorgeous views of Table Mountain and Lions Head. The room was spacious, with a wide, comfortable bed. There was a smart TV to connect Netflix or YouTube, a well-stocked tea and coffee tray, and a large bathroom complete with a bathtub, bath salts, and bubble bath. There was also a separate shower area, which was a great touch. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The staff was generally cooperative and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and gym on the second floor, both of which are clean and come with water and towel facilities. The breakfast buffet was generous, offering a mix of continental and Indian options. There were live cooking stations where freshly made dosas, eggs, omelettes, hashbrowns, and more were served right from the kitchen. A great way to start the day! That said, I’m giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons: Response time from the staff was slower than expected on multiple occasions. For example, when we requested towels, water, or toiletries, it sometimes took 30 to 60 minutes for them to arrive. Although the breakfast spread was large, 95% of the dishes were repeated daily, which made it feel a bit monotonous by the end of our stay. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely stay at Taj Cape Town again. It provided the comfort, familiarity, and service that made me feel right at home.

We had a splendid 3 nights stay at Taj Cape Town in a Tower One Bedroom Suite. Hotel location ist great for sightseeing and all areas could easily be reached by walking or taking an Uber. Hotel and suite suite itself were immaculate clean and very comfortable. We also had the luck of a magnificent view from our suite towards table mountain. Additional benefit of the suite was the access to the wonderful Taj Club Lounge on the second floor for all day drinks and a sumptuous evening spread and cocktails or wine. Service provided here by Mr. Christopher and Mr. Innocent was top notch. Also all other staff members from Front Desk to Bar and Restaurant as well as Door Man provided first class and highly attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed our stay at Taj Cape Town so much that we decided to go back next year, in this case for five nights. Booking is already made and we are looking very much forward to our next stay here and a visit to this beautiful city. Highly recommended hotel.
