Very nice hotel, disappointing for snorkelling.

The staff are fantastic at this hotel and the facilities are very good. Irritating that guests lay their towels down by the adult quiet pool, however then don’t return for some hours and the pool staff do nothing to rectify or prevent this. This is a really beautiful hotel however, the beach is very small and thin and you really do need beach shoes to enter the water as the coral is dead and very sharp. No good at all for snorkelling as there is no life on the reef unless you go beyond it and into further into the sea - even the snorkelling trip by the complementary boat was relatively disappointing. If you have come here to snorkel, you will be very disappointed. Apparently the other side of the island is better for this. If you’re not bothered about snorkelling, the hotel would be perfect for you. Just watch out for kitchen staff who do not always wash their hands when returning to the kitchen from the toilet. We reported it and it was addressed in a morning briefing. Excellent wine Somellier, Rav, who looked after us very well.

The staff here are truly the heart of the hotel—going above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. Their kindness, attentiveness, and dedication to excellence made us feel like VIPs throughout our visit.
Coming back to our room each day felt like a surprise, thanks to Kamini. From beautifully folded swans and elephant towels to fresh flowers on the bed, every details was pure magic. Thank you for making our stay extra special.
The breakfast Dream Team of Pamela and Soonita took care of all our morning needs, making sure our coffee was almost ready before we were.
The food was simply sublime, with an incredible selection of flavours that delighted us every day. Whether it was a beachfront breakfast or a candlelit dinner, every meal was an experience to savour. Kangan Indian Restaurant was hard to resist, the manager Mr Pradeep and Vikash made sure there was always a table ready for us with a piping hot cheese naan on hand, and don’t get me started with the absolutely divine samosa starters.
Aartee is the heart and soul of Mystique Restaurant, though she can also be found at the buffett as well, a true maestro of hospitality. Effortlessly juggling the bar area and restaurant, she never breaks a sweat, always delivering slick, seamless service. In complete control, yet warm and welcoming, she makes every guest feel like a regular, remembering names and preferences with ease. With a smile that never fades, she turn every visit into a memorable experience
And the setting? Absolutely breathtaking. A postcard-perfect paradise with crystal-clear waters, lush gardens, and stunning sunsets that felt almost too beautiful to be real.
If you're looking for a luxurious escape where exceptional service meets an idyllic setting, look no further than The Westin Turtle Bay. We can't wait to return!

We spent an incredible week at this hotel, and I highly recommend it to everyone. The staff, from the friendly lady who cleaned our room to the hotel manager, were exceptionally attentive and welcoming. We encountered a minor issue with our room, which was promptly resolved, and we were upgraded to the most amazing room we've ever stayed in. The food was outstanding, and the All-Inclusive drinks menu was extensive. Breakfast at the beach grill was à la carte and a delightful way to start the day. Lunch was also à la carte, and the staff and managers at both restaurants were happy and attentive.
Jerome and his team served restaurant-quality food and drinks by the pool with a smile. Yaasiim always had a smile on his face, even when carrying our heavy cases or driving us back to the reception in the rain. Venisha was very friendly and constantly topped up our drinks at the Retreat Bar.
As there are so many places to visit in the world we typically don't revisit the same hotel. However, I believe we might make an exception for the Westin Turtle Bay.
Thanks again to all the staff for a wonderful week.

Soonita at Seasonal Taste also looked after us every morning and we would more than recommend the hotel to anyone looking to visit Mauritius.
A very well presented hotel. Where there were minor issues with restocking the toiletries or room cleaning, management arranged immediate rectification.

Treatments don’t really differ to other spas do wound advise to shop around. Water during lunch & dinner had to be paid for which was off putting and you also had to pay around pool area although there was water available most of the time.

We have just returned from the most beautiful 14 day holiday to The Westin, Turtle Bay and it was the most memorable and amazing stay. The hotel and area is stunningly beautiful, but the people who work there, and their kindness and attention to detail is another level of perfection! We had our 25th wedding anniversary while we were there and the hotel provided so many lovely touches for our stay, very heartfelt, very special.
It is totally a 5 star hotel, the luxury and their attitudes to wellbeing is beautiful, ethical and it’s very heartwarming.
All staff deserve a mention as every member of staff are so lovely, from housekeeping to management, but a very, very special thank you to Savinter who arranged special touches and she’s lovely! Muhfooza from the beach grill who was the loveliest and her geordie accent is coming on a treat (pet), chef Maurice from the beach grill who was an amazing chef and made special dishes for us, Aartee from Mystique and breakfast who made us feel so special. Our maid service was so special too in 1401 so please thank her, especially for our anniversary bed on Valentine’s Day!
We have never slept in such comfort and felt so relaxed and refreshed after a holiday. The food and drinks were amazing too (we were all inclusive)
We will absolutely return to this beautiful island, this beautiful hotel and to the most beautiful people! Thank you ❤️ Julie and David xxx

Impressive hotel design. The food was excellent in both terms of quality and quantity. The buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent, with manned stations offering fresh cooked food as well as high quality pans of hot food. The salad selection was excellent too and the cheeses and desserts. The drinks were ok at around £10 for a reasonable glass of wine, the beer was around £7 for a pint.
The hotel room (basic garden room) was superb - very spacious and the ensuite was large and well planned.
Hotel pools were very clean good.
Didn't try the spa - always far too expensive for what they offer.....
The staff were absolutely brilliant - all very helpful (including the grounds staff) and very chatty, polite and professional.

Second time at The Westin Turtle Bay. we came last year and we would say the service levels are even better than last year !
The hotel accommodation is arranged in small blocks so that it never feels busy and has a village feel to it. I was told the hotel was pretty full but you wouldn't know it.
There is an expansive long sea frontage to this hotel which allows people to spread out.
Our room was well appointed, well serviced and cleaned, superb comfy large bed and sooo relaxing pillows, large bathrooms with dual sinks, a large bath, indoor and outdoor rain showers.
The food is very varied catering for all tastes in the main restaurant at breakfast and dinner buffet service, there are 4 other superb places to eat - we highly recommend Kangan, then Fusion for Teppanyaki experience, Mystique and the Beach House are also great for beach and seafront dining.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful.
The Spa massages were great.
The pools are really nice one being for adults only so you can relax even more !
But even the main pool is so large that its not busy or overly noisy.
At your Sunlounger drinks and food service via QR code or by the pool staff is a nice touch. No need to move for food or drinks !!
Theres a nice trip out to a small reef on a glass bottom boat run from the hotels boat house.
Overall an amazing stay and we will be back !

A couple of caveats: we booked at very short notice and I simply took the travel agents recommendation and we had not previously stayed in a resort hotel. That said I have given it 5 * simply because it is an extremely attractive well managed well organised and well run establishment. It’s biggest advantage is it’s staff; without exception everyone was incredibly welcoming , warm and professional. It’s a tad invidious to mention any by name but Yosina who serviced our room and Yoan at front desk were outstanding as were all the staff in the main bar who looked after us exceedingly well. Despite its size it never felt crowded - it was always possible to find a free sun bed! The rooms were comfortable especially the bed and the air conditioning unobtrusive. Regarding food the fresh fish at lunch at the beach grill was excellent as was the Teppanyaki meal at the fusion restaurant. We had the half board package and I confess to finding some of the food somewhat bland. The curries in the Kangan restaurant were ok but personally I would have liked more adventurous use if spices both there and the mystique restaurant.
It was not all perfect. I had only one facial which was more than twice what I pay in the UK but only half as good. Drinks were expensive and quickly mounted up - a couple of beers at lunch, a pre dinner drink, a couple of glasses of wine came to £100. Pricing of meal supplements in the Kangan and Mystique restaurants could be much more transparent and the ‘themed’ evenings at the Beach grill were simply too large in portion size so we went to only one. Also the resort is quite isolated so a taxi is needed for exploration of the island. In itself this is not a problem as the resort has a fleet of about 20 but it does reduce spontaneity - no walking into a local town for a drink. On a personal level the lack of direct access to the sea for ‘proper swimming’ was a def drawback . But if you are looking for a stress free week or two in the sun then the Westin might be one to consider.

Maybe the mais restaurant could be more colourful as it is a bit dark and sad in the evening
