XV Beacon

It’s more than two weeks since we checked out of the hotel and we’re still waiting for the ‘extras’ deposit which was charged to our credit card to be refunded by the hotel. We have emailed. No response to the emails though . Poor customer service.

This hotel has the most helpful staff we have ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble. From check in to the concierge booking restaurants for us to the drivers taking us to piers and restaurants it was all wonderful service. The room was great too and the position is ideal...

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights finishing up our Maine and Boston tour. I will have to say the location is great. You can walk to almost anything or worse case a short Uber ride. Nice boutique hotel. Customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and...

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights finishing up our Maine and Boston tour. I will have to say the location is great. You can walk to almost anything or worse case a short Uber ride. Nice boutique hotel. Customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Where things were not good was the room. We were in a junior suite. Lighting was very poor. The furniture was very outdated and very uncomfortable. The light over the coffee bar did not work and I had to use my flashlight on my phone to operate the coffee machine. Clothing and drawer space is very poor. The fireplace did not work when we got there. They got it working and then the day before we left it quit working again. I will have to say the bed was comfortable, the a/c worked very well, and the shower volume was awesome. All of that being said, the property definitely needs a renovation. For the price you are paying, I expect a higher level of accommodations. However, we did enjoy our stay. Again I have to say the staff was amazing and very accommodating.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel, and we found our stay there exceptional in every way. The property is lovely, and we found our executive classic room to be very spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel couldn't be better: it's very close to the Freedom Trail, and the Beacon Hill neighborhood is truly beautiful, which made strolling the nearby streets a delightful experience. The entire staff is wonderful. Each and every staff member was very professional, kind and helpful at all times, and we felt very welcome at all times. We used the house car service 5 times, 3 of which to take us to dinner. Mark, the evening driver, not only drove us to our restaurants, but served as a fascinating tour guide. A special thanks to David, the concierge, who gave us great dinner recommendations. I highly recommend XV Beacon to those who are looking for a lovely, boutique hotel that provides excellent service.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the the XV Beacon, thanks especially to the wonderful and talented staff of the hotel who made our time in Boston so special and memorable. Everyone at the hotel, without exception, was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Special commendations go to our fantastic concierge, David, and our driver/knowledgeable tour guide, Mark. The hotel offers free car service to local restaurants and locations, which was an unexpected and very welcome amenity. Mooo, the adjoining restaurant, served amazing breakfasts and lived up to its reputation as one of the best, most popular steak restaurants in Boston. The hotel room was spacious, well-appointed, immaculately clean, and very comfortable in all respects. Overall a top-notch location and experience, and we look forward to returning to XV Beacon on our future travels to Boston.

I had stayed here 20 years ago when it first opened and they have not missed a step at all.

Solid hotel in a great location to see the city of Boston. This was a quieter hotel with the boutique vibe for sure. The room was very nice and clean and plenty of room for a few nights. As this this is a moderately priced hotel i think it delivers...

As this this is a moderately priced hotel i think it delivers quite well for the cost. I will say that i did not love the food from room service, but that could just be personal preference. Would i stay again? Probably not, but that is just because I don’t think there was anything exceptional about the place.

We stayed four nights at this hotel and, overall, enjoyed the experience. It's well situated, the city being easily accessible on foot. A $17 taxi ride from the airport followed by great reception and booking in. Our room on the fifth floor was at the back of the hotel.......garbage collection...

We stayed four nights at this hotel and, overall, enjoyed the experience. It's well situated, the city being easily accessible on foot. A $17 taxi ride from the airport followed by great reception and booking in. Our room on the fifth floor was at the back of the hotel.......garbage collection early morning below us was very loud; probably better to have a side or front room. The room itself was spacious and well appointed. Light switches were a puzzle but plenty of charge sockets, good TV and a gas fire completed the offer. Bed large and comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. The room was slightly tired, wooden surfaces needed re-varnishing and the tile grout needed a clean. Outstanding elements of this stay were the staff...a special call out for Juan from Columbia who served us breakfast (a bit pricey but very nice), but everyone was helpful and supportive. The innovation of a hotel car which took us to a number of destinations was also greatly appreciated. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Our first trip to Boston did not disappoint! XV Beacon is an absolutely perfect location with impeccable amenities and a staff who is knowledgeable and attentive. The charming rooms and lovely fireplace are cozy and comfortable. We loved the central location to all our activities, and the lovely lobby area provided iced tea and warm cider during the day. The entire staff, including the hotel drivers, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

From the moment we arrived to our departure the customer service was superb, The hotel is quaint and charming. A real through back to another era but with modern amenities in every room. What a delight to finally have room service, turn down service and genuine hospitality back! More hotels...

What a delight to finally have room service, turn down service and genuine hospitality back! More hotels could learn a lesson from the staff here. They were all amazing. What a treat to have a fabulous steakhouse Mooo attached to this hotel. We dined there one evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it could not have been better. Thank you to all! Also, it’s a nice addition to have a car service to transport guests around town. We used this service twice and it worked perfectly. Our driver was very knowledgeable and so pleasant.

My wife and I were recent visitors to XV Beacon along with our dog. The staff was wonderful with her and helped us get our bags unloaded and up to our room. They recommended a pet sitter and we’re very pleasant to work with. The room was very clean and service was excellent. In addition the offered car service taking us around the downtown area was a great perk. Our driver, Grazi, was so friendly and offered advice on things to see around town. We will not consider staying elsewhere when we return to Boston.
