My wife and I just returned from Woodfield Manor Resort after a week of vacation. The hospitality we received was world-class. It was the best vacation we've had in many years. As we were driving to the location, Chuck, the general manager, reached out to welcome us on the day of our arrival. When we arrived, we were welcomed and made to feel right at home. He and the staff were always available and took care of everything we needed right away. They gave us some great suggestions for sightseeing and things to do. We had a wonderful time during our entire stay.
The location was quiet with a relaxed Family atmosphere. And the room was warm and cozy with a fireplace. There were many great local restaurants and a premium shopping outlet nearby for everything we needed.
The in-house Frogtown Chophouse restaurant was amazing. The restaurant manager and staff were just as friendly and hospitable as the Woodfield Manor staff. The food was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We even bought extra to take home.
We loved our experience so much that we tried to make an excuse to stay an extra day because of a snow forecast. However, the snow didn't stick so we came reluctantly returned home. ☺️
A special Thank You to Chuck, Nikki, the maintenance engineer, the restaurant manager, and the staff. You all made our stay a most wonderful experience. We are coming back! This is going to be our lovely home away from home. We look forward to our next visit and seeing you again.
Thanks again, for making our stay special.

This is a lovely facility, with careful attention to details. Our cabin was just perfect, and we were very impressed with the Manor's pollinator garden efforts. Staff are friendly and accommodating. It's TRULY a reflection of what the Poconos should be. Thanks for the fine visit!
Great first time experience!

Had a great time for 4th of July! Their fireworks display was a nice touch for the holiday weekend! First time staying at the hotel based on previous reviews. Staff were friendly and Frogtown Chophouse was delicious! For sure will come back again!

Once in a while a place surprises you - even if you were already expecting a lot! This is what happened to us at the beautiful Woodfield Manor.
My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in the Poconos for Race Week. We always prefer the vibe of an inn or boutique hotel rather than the chains. Chains can work well in a city visit but when we come to an area like the Poconos we want something that fits the beauty and relaxed mood of the mountains. Having been to the Frogtown Chophouse a couple of times when we visited the area, I was excited to see their was an inn on the same grounds (but not affiliated). From the photos and reviews I found on the internet I saw this was a pretty and charming place. Also - affordable rates - so we jumped at it. Well, I jumped at it. My wife didn't know much about the place I booked, I left that to be a surprise. As soon as we drove up and saw the beautiful grounds - and then the pool - and then the tidy cabins tucked away along the perimeter, well she was ecstatic!
Before we went to the manor, having arrived to the area quite early, I took a chance and gave them a call to see if we could possibly check in early (earlier than 4pm). I spoke with Theresa and she checked on the status of our room and told me, "we have a small staff, but if it can help I can let you check in at 2?" Wow, I was so happy! Especially knowing they had a pool, I was anxious to use it the first day. We came in early, checked in with Joan, and everyone could not possibly have been friendlier. We quickly went down to their beautiful pool, complete with a waterfall along one side (oh does that feel good on your head and back!). There are even a couple of seat ledges built in along the pool's edge (one right along the waterfall). Everything is maintained so beautifully. I couldn't find one sight of paint peeling or anything needing repair. The lounge chairs, the tables . . . they even have a gas bbq at the pool! Screened in cabanas and some balls and pool noodles for the kids.
We loved the King Suite (in the manor). So clean, so fresh and roomy too! Two TVs. Good size dorm fridge (with a large freezer!) and microwave. We sure slept well!
We took a nice stroll around the grounds. We were so intrigued by the cabins. Some are stand-alone, some are duplex. All are beautiful. We thought about how nice it could be if you happened to have a rainy day, to sit on the covered porches and read or play board games, all the while looking out on the lovely grounds. They even have a huge outdoor fireplace close to the cabins. We didn't get to see it lit, but it looks like it may be the remains of an old house, destroyed long ago, where only the fireplace and chimney remains. At least that's the fantasy we came up with lol.
Aside from all of this, there is a great restaurant on the main floor of the main building, the Frogtown Chophouse. While they are owned separately there is a great working relationship between the two. You rather feel like you are eating at your inn's restaurant. A good size bar and an equally friendly team are there. I totally recommend their Crispy Half Duck - just wow!!
Sadly we only could stay two nights. We would have loved to stay longer. Next time - and there will be a next time - we will! I think next time we will try out the cabins. They run just a bit more than the suites in the manor - but again, their rates are decent. There's a reason why they don't seem to have a single bad review here - well, a ton of reasons!!

We just returned from a long weekend in the Poconos and Woodfield Manor did not disappoint. We stayed in a duplex cottage and had plenty of room to relax. The cottage had everything we needed with a comfortable bed and was spotless. My favorite was the alcove with counter space, a mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It was nice to have a separate space to store our snacks and drinks and have access to coffee first thing in the morning. And of course the gas fireplace was a bonus since fall decided to arrive during our visit! The grounds are lovely as well.
After exploring during the day, we enjoyed dinner at the Frogtown Chophouse which is on site. We also ventured out to Basso one night and enjoyed a great meal there as well. Just make sure you make reservations for both.
There is a comprehensive binder in the unit with suggestions for activities, dining, and other information. The staff is awesome and attentive. We really loved our stay and can’t wait to return.
