We chose Vdara because it’s a smoke free hotel without a casino, and booked a stay-well studio. We wanted a quiet place to retreat to, and Vdara delivers this. We paid for early check-in and were given a stay well suite, which was a wonderful upgrade. Upon entry, there was a single bathroom and washer and dryer, as well as a kitchen and table and four chairs. There was a living room with a couch and two chairs, a separate bedroom and another full bathroom with double sinks and large tub. We heard no noise from anyone and we overlooked the highway/mountains.
There’s a few things Vdara should change or improve upon. Their kitchen comes with nothing in it. There is a sign which says to call if you want plates, utensils, pots, mugs, etc…. We definitely wanted pots and mugs and plates and bowls, and I called for them and was told it would be 20 minutes. I was very tired and needed to take a shower and get to bed, but wanted to wait for these items to be delivered before I got settled in for the night. It took four calls, and two hours later, I got these things delivered. I had wanted to make a small dinner and have a cup of tea, but couldn’t because it took so long to get the items brought to our room. Vdara, please just keep the kitchen items in the kitchen, or have housekeeping deliver in a more timely manner. Not tell me 20 minutes…..and two hours later bring them to me! Also, we got locked out of our room because the emergency latch somehow engaged when the cleaning lady got done cleaning our room when she left. She didn’t know. It just happened.
I had to find housekeeping on our floor and let her know and she called security. Someone came quickly with a hanger and was able to unlock it for us to get in.
The shower door also got stuck and I wasn’t able to get out of the shower. My husband was able to open it for me. But if he wasn’t there, I don’t know how I would have gotten the door to open to get out! It never fully closed for the rest of our stay. A bit disappointing and chilly while showering!
We thought housekeeping would have fixed the door each day after, because it wouldn’t close. But that never happened. So we had to use the shower with the door propped
open.
Also, I noticed people swimming in a pool from our hotel window. The elevator wouldn’t take me to the pool, level three wouldn’t light up.
I went to the spa instead to inquire about why I could not access the pool, and the attendant told me the pool was closed. I saw a family in the Vdara lobby returning from the pool immediately afterward. I asked them where the pool was. They told me the Aria pool was open. Why didn’t the spa attendant know this? That is the pool I had seen people swimming in. I finally found it after walking over to Aria and up their escalators . I was told that the pool was closing in 30 minutes, at 4:00 pm! It was hot out. Why couldn’t the pool remain open longer? Also, there were two pools open, and the closer one looked lovely, but I was told I couldn’t use that pool, I’d have to keep walking and use the next pool, which was crowded. I managed to find a seat and got in the pool to hear an announcement that the pool was closing. I was upset I wasn’t “allowed” in one of their pools. We work hard all year for a vacation.
There also was a Builders Convention while we were staying at Vdara. Apparently 130,000 people descend upon Las Vegas for this yearly convention putting hotel prices at a premium in Las Vegas. The price for our room dramatically increased for two of the nights we stayed during a 5 night say. The price went from low one hundreds to over 500.00! We didn’t think this was right or fair to charge someone who chooses this hotel for vacation purposes, in contrast with the companies footing the high priced bill of those traveling for business. When my husband brought this to the attention of the woman who checked us out, she was robotic and didn’t care whatsoever. I then told her I had forgotten something up in the room after we had checked out, and she pointed to the line and told me other people were waiting. I left feeling upset because I wanted to retrieve my personal item, but had an Uber waiting and a flight to catch. It was as if I didn’t matter at all as a customer/ guest. I felt so bad about this. It makes me hesitant to ever book here again, even though we liked the quiet room.
One last thing, the furniture was very worn. The couch and chairs need to be replaced. They are itchy and faded. The brown couch is not pretty at all to look at or to relax on. I was hoping for more of a wow factor on my first trip to Las Vegas.
Overall, Vdara is a good place
to rest your head, their beds are comfortable, the pillows were
perfect and it’s a smoke free hotel. The room was clean and it was easy to get back and forth into the room.
Very convenient to the strip,
Although not directly on the strip. It’s a nice thing to be able
to walk to the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan from inside with the connecting hallways (although very long hallways).
If you’re deciding to stay here, just don’t book during a huge convention. Vdara will take advantage and raise the nightlyprice by a lot!
I’d like to stay here again, but hopefully by then, they’ll have new furniture and color-scheme (ditch the brown, add some color!)

Very disappointing. First time my wife and I been to Vegas. I heard good things about Vdara, we booked with the hotel because of this.
We got into the room there white substance on walls and the window sill. Refrigerator did not work and was broken. Housekeeping did not come to our room two of the four days (we did not have the do not disturb on the door) The tablet that was suppose to show on the events, food etc did not work and the TV was angling off the wall. Those were the major items.
I did call the front desk the TV was fixed next day and did bring up a used Fridge and put in the kitchen.
Other little things but this were high level items. If you go to this hotel take photos and tell front desk immediately.

Suites are spot on, great amenities and really comfy beds. We had amazing views ad a totally relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Back when the Vdara first opened, my husband and I loved this hotel. Mostly because it was new, non-smoking, smelled great, and it didn’t have a casino. It also wasn’t very packed so we always got great room rates, and the rooms were super clean. Everything still holds true except for the great room rates and cleanliness.
This time around we stayed in the Executive Corner Suite and were able to get a decent room rate (but nothing compared to when the hotel
first opened) and although the rooms were clean, they felt dated and a little worn. They no longer felt new, and also they no longer provided
any of the dishes, or extras that they used to. Which wasn’t too big of a deal because you could call down for some supplies. But still, it felt a little inconvenient to do so. And thankfully they put us in a higher floor, because anything lower than floor fifteen and you’ll be staring at walls! And we did have amazing city views. So I was happy with that. We could even see the Bellagio fountain from our bathroom window!
However, for a hotel that charges as much as they do, especially the high resort fee and parking rate, they sure don’t provide any extra amenities. Like not even cotton balls or Q-tips. And don’t even get me started with the weird ‘mini bar’ on the counter. PRO TIP: do not go near the drinks or snacks on the counter or you’ll be charged. We accidentally knocked over a coffee cup and some nuts and were charged $17 and $18. Thankfully they removed the charges from our bill. But if I hadn’t looked at the invoice, we totally would’ve been charged. There’s no free waters or any extra amenities. And the Wi-Fi is kind of a joke. It’s just open wi-fi. You don’t even need a password to use it. That seemed a bit too sketchy for me.
I think the next time we go to Vegas, we’ll probably stay elsewhere that isn’t owned by MGM. The Vdara is nice, but I’m just not loving that it isn’t what it used to be.

My wide and I visited the vdara for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Upon first walking in the hotel, we were impressed by the general feel of the hotel, and the staff at the front desk were very friendly. We also were really happy the hotel sent a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to our room to celebrate our anniversary.
Unfortunately, the room had major problems. First, despite advertising, the room doesn't have blackout blinds. There's a major design flaw in which the blinds don't cover the sills of the windows, letting light pollution through the window. Unfortunately for us, the gap in the blinds shone light straight onto the bed pillow, which rendered them useless.
We purposely ordered a room with a kitchenette as my wife has specific dietary requirements, which means we need a fridge. Upon entering the room, there was water all over the floor. We discovered this was due to ice buildup at the back of the fridge due to the door being faulty and not closing. This meant we couldn't use the fridge.
The bathroom also had loads of problems. The toilet cistern didn't refill, so the toilet didn't flush, the tap was loose in the shower and the main faucet in the bathroom sink leaked.
Overall the room.on the surface was a nice room, but was pretty tired and needed attention to detail.
Also, DO NOT drink the water or gummies provided. There is no sign to warn you but these cost us $20 PER ITEM!!!
I was also very surprised to learn you have to pay for a coffee machine jn your room. A hotel at half the price would offer these basic necessities.
Overall, despite its grand appearance, the Vdara wasn't a good stay for us. For a 5 star hotel, there were some serious problems. I hate giving bad reviews but this time, it really wasn't good.
The only saving-grace were the maintenance team! What a friendly bunch of people.

Our home away from home. Call me crazy, but I LOVE having a kitchenette in the room even if I’m not using it. LOL We like to rent a car when we’re in Vegas and eat off the strip (yummier and cheaper) so we’’ almost always overorder and have leftovers and the fridge and microwave come in real handy.
Each room is a suite. Spacious and clean. Some rooms even have a dishwasher and laundry and dryer machines dagnabit.
Note: Vdara does NOT have a casino, but you can easily walk over to Aria or Cosmo to get your gambling fix. It’s never bothered us. It’s connected via walkway to Cosmo (indoors) and connected to Aria (walk outside) right next door.
The rooms we’ve stayed here in the past: Corner City Suite (most recently), Executive Corner Suite, Studio Parlor, Studio Fountain View.
The Executive Corner Suite hands down has the nicest view with 2 bathrooms, but honestly, any room will do as they are all suites with kitchenettes!
Vdara is and always will be our #1 place to stay in Vegas. (Having MGM Gold helps too with Valet)

Nice and comfortable hotel. Easy to cut through Aria to get to the strip. Food bar in lobby is open 24/7, but pricey. Bar in lobby has an outdoor area with heaters and a lounge area that is nice. Starbucks is also conveniently in the lobby area. We had a room with a kitchenette, "living room", king bed and bath with a deep oval tub. It was very clean and comfortable. The black-out blinds are on a remote on the wall. TV in both living and bedroom, but the two sides are open to each other. Everyone knows that the stuff in the frig (the bar) is very expensive, but available. But our biggest complaint is that the kitchen isn't stocked, you have to ask for pots, tea pot, forks etc, plates and they don't tell you that they CHARGE you for each item you ask for. There is a Kurig on the counter, but they charge you $18 per K-cup since it's in a "kit"... meaning it's in a paper cup with a stirrer, sweetner and cheap napkin and sealed. We asked for coffee and they came up with mugs, plates and Kurig cups that they were going to charge us $36 for!!! For crap coffee?? We were excited to have a kitchen because we thought we could make ourselves breakfast and late night snacks, but they made that nearly impossible. That was extremely disappointing. Even Motel 6 provides free coffee and tea. Not here! I'd be worried that they would charge me $5 for a coffee stirrer.

Beautiful hotel, had a great time but be aware of some things...
The Pros - 1. The convenience of having easy access to all four casinos (Vdara, Aria, Bellagio, and the Cosmopolitan) via a enclosed bridge is excellent. 2. The magic of Vegas, how can you not like that. 3. Ride share access is extremely convenient, drive there but that is it....
The Pros -
1. The convenience of having easy access to all four casinos (Vdara, Aria, Bellagio, and the Cosmopolitan) via a enclosed bridge is excellent.
2. The magic of Vegas, how can you not like that.
3. Ride share access is extremely convenient, drive there but that is it.
4. Valet parking is exceptional. The Valets are quick, courteous and friendly.
5. Rooms are clean and quiet. At least our floor was.
6. There is a Starbucks in the lobby
7. Check in is quick and easy (frontdesk checkin)
8. If you are vegetarian, 'Harvest' at the Bellagio had excellent selections, great service and moderately priced. Not too noisy unless you are seated next to the walkway but even that wasn't too bad since everyone is in a hurry to get where they want to be.
The Cons-
1. If you have a billing question after you leave, good luck. Try combing this website for a phone number to contact someone, we were unable to find one. There was no phone number on the bill or in the email so that we can contact a service representative. They have an online form but I suspect we won't hear anything since there really is no inquiry as to your booking or confirmation number. Not sure how they would follow up unless they call or email you directly. "Suggestion" settle your bill at the front desk before you leave. The absence of a telephone number is so not customer oriented.
2. This is probably me, but Vegas has gotten so capitalistic in that it isn't so much about being service or family oriented but how easy is it for the resort to make a buck. Example-we paid for self park but the self park lot is inconveniently far so we valet parked. They did credit us back the self park fee but what ever happened to parking your own car.
3. Expect a line at Starbucks (about 15 minute wait) unless you are in line when they open. They have a sign stating you can do online ordering but it was not available for Vdara so not sure what that was about. They say Aria will take online orders but we didn't try that so can't really answer for that.
Consider staying at the Marriot Westin at Lake Las Vegas. This hotel is about 20 minutes from all the hustle and bustle and far more quiet so it may be a nice restbit. This hotel is far from being glitzy, you can park your own car, they have a Starbucks you don't have to wait in line for (the restaurant coffee is pretty good so consider waiting), the breakfast buffet is very simple (eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, omelet as you want it, some fruit choices, oatmeal and a toaster that takes a little longer to finish your bread) but may be more for the budget conscience. We did not stay there so we cannot answer for the rooms but we did have breakfast there and it wasn't bad. The service was excellent and the coffee was far better than what I have gotten at Starbucks. If this is your first time at Vegas then don't skimp, kind of like going to Disneyland the first time. Just surrender to capitalism and enjoy yourself and next time around, you can skimp and save.
