My husband and I recently returned form our stay at Tulemar. We stayed in Villa Ylang Ylang and Brian Querta was our concierge for the week. I will start by saying that the Villa was spectacular with all of the amenities one would need. The views from the terrace were breathtaking. Waking up to views of the ocean and the monkeys playing right outside our Villa was an experience I will forever cherish! Our concierge, Brian, was incredibly attentive to our needs/wants. Our Villa was stocked with all of the groceries I requested before arrival and when we needed something else, Brian was quick to respond and we had our items very quickly. He was such a warm and friendly person who even brought us delicious treats from the local bakery on 3 separate mornings. He really went above and beyond our expectations. In addition, Gabriel, our housekeeper, was also exceptional. He was so kind and personable and did an amazing job keeping our place clean and well stocked. We will definitely be returning to Tulemar. Only one suggestion... it would have been nice if the Jungle Pool was heated.

Tulemar is one of the most stunning and memorable places we have ever stayed. It was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. The sunsets from our Ylang Ylang villa were amazing, the food was great, the pools were beautiful and the wildlife was abundant. Brian made our stay absolutely perfect and added so much to our trip. He helped us pick great restaurants (so many within walking distance) and adventures. There is a sloth institute on site too so we learned so much about the resident sloths and got to see a bunch of them- really special. We even saw whales off the private beach and had monkey visitors on our porch daily. We can’t wait to return. Costa Rica has a special place in our hearts now thanks to Brian and Tulemar!

We had an amazing time at Bamboo Villas in Tulemar! The resort is gorgeous, the villa has an incredible view with privacy, and our personal concierge, Brian, was first rate. Brian met us at the beginning and made dinner reservations, called taxis, and arranged excursions on our behalf. He was extremely receptive to emails prior to our visit, answering any questions we had. Brian was available 24hrs a day for any questions/concerns we had. We spent 3 days fishing out of Marina Pez Vela, we did the sloth walk through Tulemar and saw at least 10 different sloths, and we also did a jungle tour. We would highly recommend all of them. Tulemar has shuttles to drive you around, the beach is beautiful with staff to help with everything, and the restaurant even cooked the fish we caught. Brian was able to recommend and arrange taxis to a restaurant off site that would also cook our fish (getting us a reservation even though they don't take reservations). He arranged taxi rides very early in the morning for fishing and transport to/from the airport. Brian and his staff were able to do laundry for us when asked and even got supplies for us that we forgot. The open living floor plan is beautiful but it was nice to sleep in air conditioning upstairs! We did have a mama and baby sloth outside our villa, we heard and saw howler monkeys almost every day, we saw capuchin monkeys, macaws, and toucans. We caught lots of sailfish, tuna, and snapper. We have already reserved a trip back next year!

Tulemar is an unforgettable vacation experience! I read a review on My Tan Feet about this amazing resort and immediately became obsessed! My husband and I stayed in Dulce Vida Studio. It is a smaller room with just a kitchenette. The layout is a little quirky (the bathroom is small and the room could use more closet space), but ultimately it had everything we needed. We loved our patio where we saw monkeys every day, beginning early in the morning with our wake up call from the howler monkeys! Our concierge, Fabio, was always available and willing to help with restaurant reservations, taxis, and even set up in-room massages for us. The shuttle drivers are quick to come and take you wherever you want to go throughout the resort, saving you from a lot of steep climbs. Housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping our room tidy and stocked with everything we needed. We stayed near Jungle Pool, but also visited the Family Pool. Both were beautiful, especially the Family Pool which is an infinity pool with views of the ocean. We also enjoyed the beach on-site, it was never crowded and chairs and umbrella were always readily available. The sloth tour was excellent, we saw more wildlife in Tulemar than we did at the national park. Tule Cafe and Victoria's were convenient, and there were many other great restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed Le Papillon, Emilio's, Milagros, and Ronny's. The hospitality here is unmatched. My dream would be to return with friends and family and rent a bigger property within Tulemar. They have so many wonderful choices! It is pricy, but if your budget allows, I highly recommend this resort!

One of the best vacations of our lifetime. So much so my wife asked if we could stay longer! We loved Tulemar and its amenities. We stayed in the Sunset Hideaway Studio. Alex was our concierge and he was the BEST. He took care of everything including excursions, taxis, dinner reservations etc. His knowledge and advice made our trip unforgettable. The villa was stunning: newly renovated and sunset views that were incredible. Monkeys everywhere…with babies on their backs! Sloths and toucans, too! We highly recommend dinner at Le Papillon, La Luna, Lagarto and Ronny’s Place. Tulemar Cafe was excellent…and we enjoyed the carne asada tacos with avocado (3 times!). The food in CR was delicious and so fresh. And the views at sunset were stunning. The people of CR are so genuine and kind…we need more of them in the world! Visit CR and stay at Tulemar (with Alex as your concierge, if possible). You will LOVE it!

First of all a huge shout out to FREDDY. Freddy, our concierge, is the man! He tended to every single need we had. Answered all our questions. Ordered taxis and room service and excursions. Talk about being spoiled. And our housekeeper, Mila, did such a great job. Our villa always smelled so good. She even washed and folded our clothes. We are so grateful for the both of them. TULEMAR is a dream vacation. The pools and restaurants are perfect. Another shout out to the shuttle drivers. We sure used them a lot. Do not hesitate to visit this place. Come be spoiled!

We are suffering some serious withdrawals after our week at Tulemar. My husband and I rented the Ylang Ylang villa to celebrate our anniversary last week and are already planning our return visit. The view from our villa was incredible. We had a front row seat to the monkey highway that crosses through the property, and gorgeous sunset views every night. You could see monkeys and Scarlett macaws while laying in bed or taking a shower, the views were almost overwhelming. Our concierge, Brian, handled all of our requests quickly and efficiently. Our whole trip was planned down to the minute with an itinerary that we received on our first day, but he was very open to making changes or helping plan other outings on short notice. We cannot wait to go back! Note: be prepared to walk up hills!
