This hotel was booked for our last two nights to relax. When we got there it was taken over by an Italian work party. They took all of the beach seats. And stood outside rooms smoking until 3am. No air con and they made noise through the corridors until 4am....

This hotel was booked for our last two nights to relax. When we got there it was taken over by an Italian work party. They took all of the beach seats. And stood outside rooms smoking until 3am. No air con and they made noise through the corridors until 4am. We complained the next day and the manager smirked and said we were lying! We checked out after one night!

This is without a doubt the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stated at plenty. Their prices are 5 star but their service is very much 3 star. There is an obvious shortage of trained staff, breakfast is a fiasco. The buffet is shielded...

This is without a doubt the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stated at plenty. Their prices are 5 star but their service is very much 3 star. There is an obvious shortage of trained staff, breakfast is a fiasco. The buffet is shielded by Perspex screens with one sometimes two staff trying to satisfy the crowd of people trying to get served. Don’t go in early or you get the excuses the breakfast rolls have not arrived yet. Don’t waste your time asking for a hot coffee as the norm is Luke warm if you are lucky. The fiasco goes on. I asked for a club sandwich for my wife without bacon ask she has an allergy, the response was you can’t have that as the sandwich is already made. Not fresh but waiting around for someone to have the misfortune to order it. All for a cost of €26 euros. Now don’t get me wrong I expect the price in a 5 star hotel but this hotel fall way below this standard. In summary I would never visit this hotel again.

This is €400+ Per night hotel and in that light we were very disappointed. First on the room. On the first night the bed was very uncomfortable and we basically slept on an angle. When offered a new room the next day the replacement room was first much smaller and without balcony and when we didn’t accept this we got a room which was fairly comparable. In that last room the key didn’t work and every time we got a new one (6 times) it only worked once. Then after a lot of complaining we got an old fashioned key for the room. Also a small detail maybe, but they did not restock toilet paper on the holder - it was just left on a shelf for us to do. Lastly, considering the price the rooms are rather small and with little space for suite cases etc. The WiFi is very spotty and breaks off several times during use. The pool and the spa is nice. The beach facilities are also nice. The breakfast is good, however the service around it was not good. One morning we ordered hot chocolate twice and none of them arrived. On a more subjective note. There is no atmosphere in the hotel - none of the staff in the reception, pool, spa or restaurant puts any sole into their work and it pure professionalism and no feelings. It does not make you want to come back and you could just as well have been in a chain hotel.

My husband and I have been going back to Tombolo every time it’s just possible. It’s a convenient and fairly quick drive from Firenze, in 1,5hr you are on the beach. The hotel is located on a gorgeous property, full of beautiful flowers and plants, the sounds of the birds...

My husband and I have been going back to Tombolo every time it’s just possible. It’s a convenient and fairly quick drive from Firenze, in 1,5hr you are on the beach. The hotel is located on a gorgeous property, full of beautiful flowers and plants, the sounds of the birds and the Tyrrhenian sea. The rooms are modern, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very polite, attentive and kind! The beach restaurant is our most favorite, it’s soooo fantastic!! Amazing location, outstanding food and service!! It’s a MUST try! It’s a pity that the hotel’s 2nd floor dining area is not used. It’s probably the most precious location inside the building, could (should) be used for breakfast / aperitivo and dinner. The view from there is spectacular, imagine dining up there while looking over the sea. I would definitely recommend to move the restaurant over there from the current location of it. The Tombolo resort is our one and only place to go to when we are in that region. Definitely recommend the hotel!!

My wife and I were very excited about our upcoming stay at Tombolo Talasso Resort. It looked beautiful on the internet and had fairly good reviews. Our first impressions of the property were definitely favorable, but the tepid (at best) reception started the downswing. The small outdoor pool was OK (although not what we expected from the photos), but the food/beverage service was basically non-exsistant. Considering there were only 6 guest at the pool, we weren't sure where she was 90% of the time. The kicker, however, was when we let the front desk know that the AC thermostat controller in our room was partially hanging out of the wall and flashing random numbers. It was clearly not working at all and the room was uncomfortably hot. The front dest person went behind a door and claimed to have "reset" the system and told us it would be fine... dismissing us. Being a technical person, I knew this was BS, but I didn't want to get in to it with him. Sure enough, the thermostat was not fixed. We decided to let it roll and sleep with the patio door open. It turned into one of the worst nights I've had in a while. It was hot and mosquitos had a field day on us. It's a shame, I think this place could be a fantastic retreat if management would get their act together.

Great hotel and spa just few meters from the sea, quiet, relaxing with a huge, extensive spa area. Not tried the restaurant, confortable rooms with clean bathrooms. The private beach offers good space compared to the other local "bagni".

This place was great for some downtime. The food was tasty, the views were amazing, the room was comfortable, and the staff were great. The private beach and amenities were comfortable and plentiful. The spa was so relaxing! I highly recommend this place!

First of all is the location with the 'private' beach amazing. Just walk across the street and your there , location is behind gates so the car is safe as well. Spa is amazing, breakfast is very good, we are very happy about our stay 👌👌👍
