The location was perfect for our needs: it is only 15 minutes walk to the Waterfront. The manager Elton is very efficient and very professional. Phiwe from the frontdesk, is a very helpful and friendly person: he did his utmost best to resolve our problem with the payment of the taxidriver. The other members of the staff were also very helpful when we needed help to organize our daily activities.
The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was also very good, in particular the eggs Benedict.
We will surely rebook this boutique hotel when we will visite Cape Town again.

Peter, Minister for Transport ( his words) took us everywhere we wanted to go in safety and comfort.
Delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely would recommend. Just up the hill from main centre, away from hustle and bustle, but an easy walk (15 mins) down to Waterfront.

In terms of service this is the best hotel I have stayed in .Every employee was incredibly friendly , efficient and very professional , they are all a credit to the management team of Evance and Elton .The location was perfect for my needs ,it is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the V & A Waterfront .The rooms are clean with a balcony on my room offering distant views of the sea .The breakfast was very good and unlike the majority of hotels the hot food on offer is cooked to order , the eggs Benedict being my personal favourite .
During breakfast one of the staff members asked every day what plans we had and if we needed help organising the days activities .This was an enormous help and everything they organised was done with minimum fuss and great efficiency .
In summary , I cannot fault this hotel and when returning to Cape Town , which is stunning , I will certainly be staying here .

Charming, low key, small hotel in an easy to reach location, close enough to the tourist activities, but nestled on a quiet, hilly street. Service was excellent. Comfortable accommodations. Breakfast was included and delicious. Recommend!

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel felt intimate and welcoming, making it a great choice. The pool and lounge areas were really lovely too.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, and we really appreciated the complimentary cakes and treats available during the day. It’s also well located—just a 20-minute walk to the V&A Waterfront, which was very convenient.
The staff were exceptional, with a special mention to Sheila and Melody, who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
We’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

Lovely small hotel within walking distance on V&A waterfront. We had a really warm welcome from Sheila, we arrived early but were shown out to the terrace & offered a hot drink & shortly escorted to our room. Room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean with a nice outdoor terrace area. Whilst we didn’t have view, it was lovely to be able to sit out in fresh air. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance, but it is quite a steep hill to get back to hotel. Great breakfast next morning, when we also met the lovely Elton. Highly recommend & would definitely stay again.

The Tree House BH is just outstanding. 100%
We know from staying at a few of the ‘collection’ that it’s the staff led by Elton that are the difference whatever the location size and amenities of all others (in what is a marvellous collection) within the group. The Tree House is TOPS.
Elton and his team are all there when you arrive from a flight or journey to welcome you. They make you feel immediately at home and you relax into the hotel and its charms. Perfect!
Rooms are spotless, comfortable light and a perfect fit. Corridors, lounge, restaurant, deck and the pool are also all clean & tidy.
The breakfast is wonderful and their bacon, eggs and ingredients are all of great quality. Nothing is too much trouble ’goats milk’ ‘sour dough’ all accommodated to your request. Thanks Elton.
The hotel has their own drivers for the organised trip or just to drop and pick up of an evening or to the beach. Peter and Ismail..thanks.
Elton leads and influences all other team members but they are all their own person and their personalities shine through. All smile all help and all
are just lovely. Shelia, Melody, Zukiswa and Philisand you made our stay and having visited other hotels in the group it was with you that we finished our trip.
There is an afternoon treat of a daily baked cake, delicious. They open at 5 pm with a collection of gins or an individual recommended wine.
The “living journey collection” hotels are under 20 rooms, boutique style and all with outstanding service.
The range of toiletries used across the group (Healing Ocean) are luxurious and excellent too.
Value for money is often not shown in Trip Advisor reviews but this collection is very alive and living. Don’t miss them out. They are awesome!!

By a country mile, this was the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. We were in Capetown for a 'special' birthday and staying in The Tree House turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. Given that Capetown is such a stunning city, this compliment should not be underestimated. From the moment we arrived the staff - superbly led by Elton and Evance - made us feel not only welcome but exceedingly special guests. Everything was lovely from the bedroom to the breakfast. But it was the sheer friendliness of the staff that made this such a gem of a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for them - and every greeting, morning or evening, came with a warm smile. We genuinely felt that they were doing everything they could to make our holiday extra special. I'm sure there are more lavish hotels in Capetown - but, in 40 years of travel, this was the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The day we left, we felt as if we were departing our home away from home. If we are ever blessed to return to South Africa, where to stay will be our easiest decision - my wife and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else but The Tree House. This is a hotel run the way every hotel should be. In a word - superb.

A lovely hotel with delightful and efficient staff. The rooms are spacious and the area is quiet. Breakfast was always excellent, with many choices. We also enjoyed the evening gin aperitif.
The hotel supplied us with a car and driver (excellent rate and so much better than struggling with traffic etc). The driver was very knowledgable and listened to what we wanted to see. We did a wine tour and a Peninsular tour.
The hotel is well located, with a couple of good restaurants very close and a huge selection in the water front. That area is also a great area to walk around. Uber also works well to get to other places - like the Botanic Gardens which is beautiful and has a nice restaurant.

It’s hard to describe just how wonderful this place. First, it’s stunning. It’s tastefully decorated, with lovely views. Second, it’s hard not to sleep well in the very comfortable bed. Third, the breakfasts are delicious and generous. You won’t go hungry. Did I mention they have a cake of the day? That alone is reason to stay here. But most importantly, the staff are true gems. They are beyond kind, bending over backwards to please. Every single one of them. I’ve traveled to nearly 50 countries, so believe me when I say The Tree House is a very special place. I even changed my plans so I could stay a second time here. It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else in Cape Town.

The staff at this hotel are great. The manager in particular is excellent - he really cares about the experience of his guests.
However BEWARE! The room was not as advertised. It was dark, and facing a busy road and we could hear loud traffic noise 24/7.
We understand that the manager tries to avoid allocating guests this room, and the owner knows that the glazing in the room is insufficient and plans to re-do it this year. In the mean time, the owner continues to allow guests to stay in this room and charges full fees for it.
The manager tried to find resolution for us but the owner was not cooperative. Finally, we were offered a 20% discount for one night - which we declined. We are taking up this mis-advertisement with the booking platform, so that this does not happen to others.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Tree House Boutique Hotel. We stayed in the Lookout Suite which was spacious and comfortable, with amazing views from the 2 balconies. Plenty of space to sunbathe or just sit with a glass of wine in the evening.
We were shown a warm welcome and given wonderful care by all the staff during our stay - particular mention to Elton, Sheila and Melody.
During our stay we took two, full day private tours, arranged through the hotel - the peninsular tour and a day wine tasting in Stellenbosch & Franschoek. Ismail was a wonderful informative guide, tailoring the trips to our interests, including a spontaneous diversion to visit Newlands Cricket Ground.
We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town.
