We had a staycation and never left the hotel, eating at all the outlets, enjoying the amenities, it was all superb. The staff was stellar with every interaction; professional and efficient. Good service at Teddys, The Fountain Lounge and The Sazerac Bar. Room service was fast, friendly and yummy. I know it sounds like I'm gushing but I haven't been impressed this much by a hotel since before covid.

We stayed at the Roosevelt for a weekend visit to New Orleans. It’s a large historic hotel. The location is good, near bourbon Street but not on it so pretty quiet. The door crew is great! Those guys know everything. Check in and out were quick and easy. The room was HUGE. A front room with sofa, chairs, tv, mini bar, coffee station, and table and chairs setup. Lots of space for working. The bedroom was also quite spacious. Another tv, chair, and big comfortable bed. The closet had plenty of hangers and included a full size ironing board and iron. The bathroom was nice. I LOVE the Aesop toiletries. And thank you for using full size (non disposable) toiletries and having conditioner along with shampoo and bath gel. Towels were plentiful and good sized. Good shower with nice water pressure. We didn’t try the bar as it was very crowded (guessing due to holiday visitors). The lobby holiday lights and decor are pretty amazing. Overall a very nice hotel.

Goodness me the bad was truly bad here. This place was rammed and there was nowhere near enough staff with the number of guests using this hotel. Failed dismally to get served at the bar on Saturday night and noon on Sunday, just gave up after a long time waiting. Valet car service was manic, staff doing their best with the overwhelming numbers. The small room was cold and had to call out engineering to fix it. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice but all in all, probably the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff were surly and hard to find. I can’t believe what this place charges for such an underwhelming experience. A highly disappointed customer here who will never return. Lesson learnt.

We were so excited to stay at this hotel! It was quite the bust. We checked in a little early and didn’t expect our room to be ready so we had lunch in the hotel coffee shop. I ordered a Caesar salad and they forgot the croutons and then said they didn’t have the croutons and then said they couldn’t find the croutons and then they found the croutons. My husband had a burger and the bun was soggy and when he asked for a glass of water the older gentleman behind the counter acted like he was being extremely inconvenienced. We had to go back to the desk to find out our room was ready, although they had promised they would text us when it was ready which was after check-in at three. The gentleman at check-in was quite curt and acted like he could’ve cared less, we were only a transaction to him. We were so excited to have drinks at the Sazerac bar and couldn’t even get into the bar because it appeared the hotel had rented it out to the pharmaceutical convention. The hallways were completely full and jampacked with these conventioneers. We didn’t think the Waldorf Astoria would have participated in a citywide convention, but they were completely full with the convention attendees who were loud, partying, drinking heavily and almost yelling. I asked the front desk if hotel guests had priority in the Sazerac bar and she said she didn’t understand my question. Then, we went to what we thought was the hotel restaurant for a nice romantic dinner. It was called Domenica. It actually felt like a sports bar without the TVs. They had food runners and the waitress made sure we were only a transaction. There was no personality. When thebill, we tried to sign it to our room, and found out that they were not associated with the hotel, the waitress said that the hotel was their landlord. The entire Roosevelt experience was disappointing; don’t come during a convention. There were two positives. The hotel was very beautifully decorated so hats off to the decoration staff, and secondly, the Bellman couldn’t have been nicer. We asked for a history of the hotel and one of the Bellman printed it off and even gave me a timeline. Those two departments were great and the room is nice and clean. That being said, however, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.

We stayed here for three days as we were attending a concert at the Saenger theater so it was convenient and within walking distant. It is an easy walk to Bourbon street and the French Quarters. Checking was very easy and the reception desk was very helpful. We booked thru Am Express fine hotels and loved the extra amenities. Breakfast in the Lounge was also nice. They have great beignets. The room was also nice, great Aesop bathroom products. They did turn down the room when asked. Checkout very fast. Would highly recommend.

My third stay here and this is the worst. Time to find another solid hotel here. Most things are ok but the bathroom size is unacceptable. This is not a basic lowest level room. Difficult to stand near sink, hard to shower, barely any room between toilet and door when trying to close it. Completely insane. I am a “Hilton Honors” member (another joke loyalty program), travel over 30+ times a yr and they didn’t know (at check in) that I had stayed at this hotel before a few times. Flight attendants know me in some airlines and this hotel didn’t.

My wife and two other couples came to New Orleans to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience, and I do love the old-world luxury of the Roosevelt! As a diamond member the hotel did provide me a great room upgrade to a king deluxe room for my birthday. Room, coffee, room service, and concierge service was great! I do want to call out Travis with the concierge service and Fernando in the coffee lounge for their A+ care of my wife and I. I do want to say that I tried Beignets and Sazeracs all over New Orleans and I found the very best at the Roosevelt. My wife did give me a couples massage for my birthday in the hotel Spa that was wonderful and right on time after the weekend of drinking and dancing in town. The hotel is perfectly located for walking to any of the typical places to visit in New Orleans! Dewey T. Diamond Member

Beautiful hotel in a great location - easy walk to Bourbon street and about 10 to 15 minute walk to the riverside, cruise terminal, French quarter. Superb room - good size with a lovely bathroom - multi head shower was excellent. Excellent quality bed linen and a very comfortable bed. We did a 4 night stay, flew to Nashville and then came back for a final night (paying with points). On our final night we get a comp’ room upgrade, this room was outstanding and huge! The pool area good - pool heated & jacuzzi really warm so worth a visit. Particularly nice if you are up early. Choice of restaurants / cafes for breakfast - as Hilton Gold members we had a $50 per day credit to use in some restaurants. A decent breakfast for 2 cost around $60 so we used the credit for this. Can highly recommend room service breakfast. Cabs to and from airport seem to be a fixed price of $36 (as at Nov24). Uber and Lyft very easy to use as well.

This is a classic, beautiful landmark hotel with all the amenities of a modern one. We opted for a 1 bedroom suite which had 2 baths, a truly separate and comfortable living area. Cushy bathrobes, nice bath products and great housekeeping added to our positive experience. Only downsides were pretty banged up furniture and extraordinarily loud HVAC system below our room. And backside of hotel had a terrible industrial view. Didn’t eat here but sanzerac bar was beautiful. Also all staff were great without exception. This place is not cheap but a lovely old dame in a great location in a great city!

I love this iconic New Orleans hotel. Steeped in history the staff is friendly and accommodating. From the very beginning our doorman Randy was sincere and full of advice where to go to enjoy the best of the city. I cannot say enough about this historic hotel. The accommodations were over the top and the beautiful entrance is like nothing I have visited in this world of cookie cuter hotels. A truly unique and fascinating experience. The entrance has a beautiful clock from the World's Fair in Paris from the 1800's, Everything is so different and memorable. Highly recommended!!!!
