Way overpriced and expected much more.

We stayed for four nights at the beginning of February 2025. First the negatives: it’s very expensive, there was some deferred maintenance in our room and the restaurant was just OK.
However, with those things said, staying at The Reach is absolutely what saved our trip. It has a natural beach, and the pool is very nice. I can’t stress enough how nice staying on the beach was. If we had been staying in-land and had to visit the public beaches, it really wouldn’t have been fun. It’s away from all of the craziness of Duval Street and the area feels very safe.
The concierge service in the hotel is great. They were incredibly helpful in booking activities and directing us to places when we asked for it. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
One criticism I might offer is that the gates into and out of the resort are not locked and you can just walk through.
I’d probably never want to visit Key West again, but if I did, The Reach is where I would stay.

I booked a three-night stay @Thereachkeywest @Hilton property using @HiltonHonors points as a Diamond level. Due to the location and time of year, it was a significant points charge. Before arrival, I received numerous texts from staff to prepare for my visit with "Let us know what we can do for you". I requested a complimentary upgrade with a response check-in with the front desk upon arrival. At check-in, I was informed an upgrade was not available and was assigned to room 360, which was the greatest distance from all hotel amenities in the back corner of the property and in my observation the worst room in the hotel. When brought to management's attention through their internal text chain and Hilton survey, the response was "Thanks for letting us know". The hotel has a great location, the interior of the room was ok, and the operating staff was wonderful but I was not a valued Diamond level guest once I used my award points. Very disappointing. Be sure you know where your room is before settling in. I am not planning to return.

On arrival, we were informed that we had been upgraded, what a fantastic surprise after a very long journey! Dreamy views and very clean everywhere…
All staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us…
Our bed was super comfortable and the bedding was incredibly soft, making for a perfect nights sleep…
Our suite was cleaned every day and left smelling gorgeous!
Shout out to 2 members of staff in particular - Tim, our waiter at breakfast, who was a lot of fun with a very infectious laugh and Bravan - a lovely guy who we enjoyed talking to about England and Kenya. Both a real asset to the hotel…
We walked to the Sister Hotel Casa Marina, which was also beautiful with stunning views, but was very busy, so we were very glad we were staying at the Reach…
We didn’t want to leave the Reach and will definitely be returning as it’s my new favourite place!!!

Definitely not what I think you would be looking for in a resort if that is even the proper word for it. For over $800 a night we were given an “upgraded” suite for an extra charge but when we got to the room what we really received was a view of a small parking area with old vehicles and a dirty tarp in the woods. There was also a small hole in the wall of the bathroom and the shower doors wouldn’t close. On top of all of that the TV in the room didn’t get any signal, definitely not the things I would expect for almost $900 a night. After all of these things, we decided to cancel our further reservation after 1 night which I have never done before and go to another resort where we actually got an oceanfront view for roughly 1/3 the price on top of the $150 fee which they charge you when they claim they or there sister property doesn’t have any available rooms but they were trying to move other people who also had complaints about the hotel which I’m not sure is possible since nothing was supposedly available. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the beach was very nice and the girl who helped us try to resolve the problem did a good job with the limited resources I believe she had available to her. Do yourself a favor and look for a different option when in key west.

Very poor experience. 100% would not stay ever again.
We checked in today. When we arrived in our room it was not as we’d booked
I called reception & my wife was advised that the Hotel was full & there were no other rooms available.
I visited reception & was offered a one time chance to change rooms to one that wasn’t as good but they refused to allow me to see it !!
I was advised that If I had a seat view I should consider myself lucky!!
When I explained this eas totally unacceptable I was basically told it was tough
If I could get my money back I’d leave
There’s plenty of other options here. Don’t stay. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service. Do yourselves a favour & stay elsewhere

Expect your weekend stay to include a full house and a DJ party outside your ocean-facing room. Valet parking only but you are located right in the heart of Old Town so you can walk to Duval Street, the Southernmost point marker (go at 7am for no line and better light), and Mallory Square’s sunset celebration.
We were told we got an upgrade as Diamond elite members but it was just a standard room. Maybe the upgrade was a higher floor??
Staff at check-in was pleasant, and there’s a concierge if needed in the lobby with a lemon water dispenser. Your room won’t be ready until til at least 4pm so you can store your luggage easily with the valet.
The room itself was clean, water pressure was good, and towels were fluffy.
Diamond elite breakfast credit was easy to use in Four Marlins and the food was generous and beautifully presented. There’s a nice gift shop with sundries, coffee, pastries and some resort wear.
In all, we had a nice stay and would return.

Bought for our son and new wife for Honeymoon. Guaranteed on credit card. Hilton didn’t inform Us that the person checking in needed the credit card. As diamond members didn’t know .trid to resolve with the diamond desk, but Eric, the front desk wouldn’t budge. so our son had to pay for his own honeymoon! We really didn’t want them to know what we spent! trying to resolve this.. we asked Eric( front desk) to send champagne up to room as a gesture and he refused. We have stayed At the reach many times, but I guess customer service does not count for diamond members. We will not return.!

This hotel was fabulously decorated with good facilities however, it could be do much more!
On arrival we were greeted by Annie who had a terrible attitude. After 12 hrs in transit to get there from Washington, we arrived to find they couldn’t see our booking confirmation on their system but gad ultimately given our room away so someone else. Annie completely lacked empathy until it became apparent the hotel was to blame. 3hrs after arrival, we were eventually allocated another room.
Please beware of resort fees! We weren’t advised if these upon booking. The bill at the end of 7 nights equated to around £60 a night. Extortionate!
Also, if you use their valet service & park the car for the week, thus us going to cost around £50 a night!
Be warned!
Would I stay there again! Definitely not.

This is the absolute worst Hilton property.
DIRTY, RUDE, and FALLING APART
First-check in we were offered no information about property details, amenities, dining options, or other details.
First room on the first night was dirty and falling apart. Took a shower and the shower leaked everywhere had to take all of our clean towels to wipe up the water on the floor. Toilet ran constantly, and the door handle on the shower was falling off.
Tried to tell the front desk and they wanted to move us. Being as if we were staying for 6 days we were hesitant as we had already unpacked but we decided to make the move.
Next room was no better and was extremely dirty. The stand up showers floor was dry rotted and cracked and falling through, the dust on the doors, mirrors, fans, ledges were so thick it was disgusting, the floors were stained and not cleaned. We went to change our sheets and the sheets that were brought had stains all over them and when we pulled the fitted sheet off the mattress cover had pee stains all over it. We asked a manager to come up and there was no one available and the front desk attendant ask us to bring the mattress cover down to the lobby in front of everyone which was very embarrassing. We asked for a manager to come after that and no one came we also asked for them to come make our bed with clean sheets and no one came for 6 hours and we had to go back down and ask again. We had to call Hilton to get a manager to come up which took another day. When the manager came up who was named Geffroe he even stated the room was unacceptable and that the shower was unsafe. He offered a cabana at the sister property that we did not want and then only offered a $300 credit and told us we had to move again for the second time. So we spent time repacking our stuff to move to a room with maintenance issues again. We called Hilton again with no help and the hotel sent maintenance up and he was in our room for 45 minutes and we had to ask him to leave so we could get ready for dinner.
We decided to extend our stay and called Geffroe because he had stated that he wanted to make our stay correct and ask him to extended he told us that it would be and additional $900 per night and resort fees and we had to move rooms due to Fantasy Fest going on and that was there rates.
Instead of fixing an awful stay they were more worried about making money and I hope if anyone reads this to reconsider using this Hilton as it is not worth your money and we spent more time dealing with issues and moving than enjoying our vacation.

My husband and I had a lovely long holiday weekend stay at The Reach. We received a room upgrade to a spacious studio upon check in. The room and property were clean and comfortable. The location on Key West was perfect for our trip. We walked everywhere with the exception of an Uber to and from the airport and an Uber to and from a boat charter we booked. The restaurant/bar staff were lovely and the food and drinks we had were delicious.
The only negative that we noticed is that the property is next door to Dog Beach. We didn’t think much of it when we chose this property, but we did notice sitting at the beach that dogs do wander over as do dog owners and use the beach on the property. In addition, we did see one dog use the sand for the bathroom, which the owner did pick up quickly and another dog off leash wander over and use the seaweed to urinate. This did make the beach very unattractive to us.
Overall we had a great weekend stay and would return again.

This is our 3rd trip to Key West in as many years, this one falling over Labor Day weekend. We used this as a long weekend getaway, combined with celebrating our wedding anniversary. Previous stays included Opal House & Pier House.
We spent our days at the sister resort Casa Marina, adult only pool. Service was fantastic and ulta accommodating. On better weather days, pool was busy. CM was more of what we would expect at a Curio property.
Our final day was a partial and we used The Reach pool. Very different vibe than CM; more casual & laid back.
Pros: great location (we loved being on the quiet end), lobby area is beautiful, white sand beach, friendly and accommodating staff (Willow with guest services was phenomenal and an asset to the business), renovated room, great gift shop, adequate fitness room.
Cons: average hotel with a premium price tag. The hotel cost is relative to others we’ve stayed at or look forward to using however it’s lacking in some areas with a dated feel in some areas.
Outcome: we love Key West & will be back. For a premium price tag, average experience, and comparable pricing to CM, we will try to stay there next trip. It’s not never, just prefer to try something different next trip.
Other: we flew into KW, there were plenty of taxis lined up outside the airport, and went direct to hotel for ~~$20. No car needed for staying on the island. Took multiple trips with driver services, Lyft hit the mark each time over Uber. Lyft took us back to airport with XL service for $20 on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Poor value for money, expected luxury at £2400 for 3 nights. The staff were excellent, except for the front of house woman at breakfast who was rude and self important. Despite the fact that breakfast was included they still managed to squeeze another $18 out of us for tax and service! Our room was excellent, but it was only made up once in 3 days. The beach was really nice. The jetty has been taken over by pigeons, and is completely covered in guano - it is a serious hazard to health and should be shut down immediately.

Arrived early. Had car valet parked, yea it’s expensive but there’s no choice if you are on a self drive holiday.
Pre-checked in, dropped our bags and walked straight to southernmost point and on into key west.
Location of hotel is very good, particularly as we tend to walk a lot around locations.
Hotel room was really nice, slightly odd that the closet was in the bathroom, so we chose not to hang stuff in there as figured it might get steamy. Air con very noisy, but ceiling fan on its own worked just fine to keep room cool.
Walk to room via what felt like endless concrete balconies made us a little nervous to what we might find but as I said room was great. Huge bed was extremely comfy, not much of a view from balcony but hey I wasn’t there to sit on it.
Had a couple of beers at the bar and had a breakfast included package. Glad didn’t buy breakfast at the hotel as it was ok at best. Didn’t eat dinner in the hotel as so much choice elsewhere,
Chose to sit on the beach area, bed attendants were very friendly. Beach nice.
Rating as a 4 star as I didn’t like the pool area, not the hotel’s fault, but it was busy, noisy & pool itself full of people lounging in the water continually eating & drinking all day. Did not make for a pleasant environment and I’m not sure I want to swim in a pool where people have washed off their greasy hands etc.

1) The Front Desk person, Foster, was great. Very personable, and helpful. Gave every person he attended to his full attention, remembered our names throughout our visit, and seemed determined to give us the best experience possible.
2) Beach was probably one of the nicest on Key West. KW is not known for its beaches, but this one was we appointed.
3) Room was clean and modern, but not without issues ( below)
The not so good...
1) Configuration of our Suite meant the AC blew into the main room, but struggled to get into the bedroom.
2) Weird issue with our ceiling fan/ light - both would go on/off without notice. Light turning on in middle of the night.
Pricier than most of the B&Bs further into town - you miss out on the beach, but is that really why you go to KW??? Thinking next time I'll go for a quaint B*B and bypass the beach... and save some $$$

Pros. We did get a Hilton upgrade which I feel is very rare in the US. All the hotel staff were super friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and pretty with a partial water view. It was nice to have a fridge for some food and beverages. The hotel feels very connected to the beach and I really enjoyed lounging on the beach under an umbrella. I did not have any difficulty finding an open lounge at the beach or pool when I wanted one. It is an easy walk (or $10 uber) to all the bars, restaurants, and activities of Duval street but far enough away that the hotel itself feels relaxed and secluded.
Cons. While food portions are generous, the restaurant and bar are pricey. I would have appreciated more light appetizer options. Our room’s ceiling fan/light remote must be on the same frequency as another room’s. The light would come on at night. We had to turn the system off at the wall to avoid that.
