The Inn is in a great location, convenient to everything in Charleston's historic district. The rooms are comfortable and the staff cannot be beat especially Carther who is the definition of southern charm. My wife and I have stayed here many times and we have never been disappointed.

Amazing place to stay, it has a warm inviting lobby. The rooms were so comfortable, they had a fridge, a great TV, walk-in shower. If you need a snack or drinks there were machines right outside your room. They have the best breakfast every morning included. They have cheese and crackers and wine in the evening for the guests and Milk and cookies as well in the evening. Their checkout is noon which is usually something you must ask for but it's included that late. The sheets, pillows, s, and comforter were amazing. The best part was the staff David who works the breakfast ship is a great guy, easygoing, and always has a smile on his face. Alaina and Carlesse, I think I might have spelled that wrong were very helpful and wonderful to speak to and will help you with anything you may need. When we come back to SC we know where we will be staying. Thank you for making our trip amazing. Sincerely Darren and Daniella

We were planning a 2 night stay in Charleston after New Year's Eve and wanted to find a spot in the historic district that would allow us to walk to dinner and sights. From our search, you could spend significantly more money to stay in this area but I doubt you will find near the value, convenience and charm as the Meeting Street Inn. Cost for parking is reasonable and easy to use if planning to drive during your stay. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The wine & cheese happy hour was a treat (they have beer too for us non-wine folks) and a nice snack to hold one over for a later dinner reservation. The breakfast offerings were much more than we expected, and delicious. The room was spacious and had everything we needed - including a very comfortable queen bed.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Whether we asked for restaurant recommendation or just a place to get coffee or a drink they always pointed us in the right direction. The location seemed perfect right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The history of the hotel and look fit Charleston perfectly and made the stay and trip even better. We enjoyed have drinks at 5 on the lobby and breakfast in the morning. The room also fit the theme of Charleston giving a historic vibe. We will definitely be going back again.

A total waste of money for a terrible hotel.

This is a terrible hotel. Do not stay here. They charge a lot. We paid $300.00 for a room that looked nothing like the pictures of room they show on their website. Absolutely a disappointment. The rooms are worse than cheap hotel rooms. And they don’t provide drinking water at all. They only sell bottled water from a machine that is sold out of it.
Parking is $40.00. There are plenty of hotels in Charleston that are better. Indigo, Pinckney and others in the same price range with better service and nicer rooms.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at The Meeting Street Inn and couldn't be happier with our first experience with Charleston. The hotel is perfectly located in the old town with easy walking distance to all the sights and activities. The staff was very helpful and friendly assisting us with directions and recommendations. The room was very nice with and we experienced real Southern hospitality and friendliness in the lobby where the hotel served wine and snacks in the afternoon and gave us an opportunity to chat with the other guests. All in all a great experience and we can highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed here 2 or 3 years ago and I don’t know what happened in between those years and now but I do not recommend it now. The maid service was poor. I had to ask for the dirty towels taken out of the room to be replaced. The bathroom walls and shower walls need a good cleaning. Two elevators in the building. Three years ago one was broken. That same one is still broken. I would have expected that the elevator would be fixed by now. The Inn is going through some renovations. So there is noise which I understand. Check out is at noon. We get our car from the remote parking lot and when we get back to the inn there’s a furniture truck parked in the loading zone which means there is no where to park your car without having to pay for parking. The furniture is being delivered via the one elevator. The furniture movers were holding the elevator for themselves. Consequently, we walked up and down three flights of outside stairs in the humidity to load our car. We both needed a shower after that. Breakfast before was different from day to day. Now it’s the type of breakfast you can get at a $120 hotel on the interstate. It would have been a good idea to notify your guests that they might want to check out early because you were anticipating deliveries during checkout times. We were happy with the room we got since it had its own balcony. As always the inn is in a prime location for visiting Charleston but until their renovations are completed and the elevator is fixed, I would pass on The Meeting Street Inn.

Our queen standard room was spacious with 2 high back chairs, an armoire, desk and mini fridge. The bathroom had a single sink and plenty of space for amenities. There was a tiled shower. The room air conditioner was rather loud and did cycle on and off frequently. The bed was four poster with a lover crocheted cover. There were steps to help get in as it was rather high. We were on the 4th floor, midway down and there was no problem with noise at nighttime. The breakfasts were continental with ne hot item that rotated each day. The bakery was prepackaged. It was adequate but nothing special. What was special was being able to enjoy it in the lovely open courtyard. The evening wine and cheese was also a nice touch as well as fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at night. We took an Uber from the airport and walked to everything we wanted to see and do in town. We found all the staff to be super friendly and helpful and would recommend the Inn to anyone wanting to visit Charleston.
