Wonderful, comfortable inn
Wonderful inn, great location, very comfortable beds, the fireplace was a nice feature on a couple of cool nights, and it was very quiet. The views overlooking the creek, and the surrounding hills was above expectations. We would definitely stay again.

This is now one of our favorite hotels. The inn could probably be classified as a bed and breakfast. Walking distant to many restaurants and shops. We were checked in by Rich, who goes above and beyond his job. He is kind and very friendly. Rich also helped us with our luggage as well as recommended places to eat dinner. Note there is no elevator if your room is on the second floor. Gorgeous and peaceful grounds by the creek. Our room 7 was perfect for us. Small balcony with no creek views but really peaceful. We could barely hear the cars on the road. Great place! We will be back!

Very nice lodging option in Sedona for couples or singles. Great location overlooking Oak Creek within walking distance of several good dining and shopping options. Very good continental breakfast offered with a nice patio overlooking Oak Creek. The manager on duty Rich was extremely helpful providing excellent restaurant recommendations and was a great host. Only drawback is the shower in room was in a deep tub that would be difficult to navigate in and out of for many seniors.

We spent two nights in Sedona at the Inn Above Oak Creek in the Creekside Suite. This over-the-top, elegant and comfortable suite with a washer dryer was just what we needed after a few days at the Grand Canyon! This two-level suite includes a full kitchen, open living / dining area, and 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, with a huge master ensuite bath! It could easily accommodate a family or possibly two couples. Multiple windows and 2 porches provide relaxing views of the creek and woods. The walk-in closet is a plus as well. While the Inn was apparently full, we felt secluded the entire stay. Having a Kuerig and ample coffee supplies is especially nice! The Inn provides a continental breakfast each morning, too. We didn't take advantage of the chef's kitchen, but it definitely provides space for preparing a gourmet meal! Considering the size of the suite, I'm amazed the cost isn't twice as much! i highly recommend anyone planning a lengthy visit to Sedona to stay at the Inn Above Oak Creek!

This was a lovely inn situated away from the main drag of tourist traffic. (All of Sedona is filled with tourist traffic but this was at least a little less congested than the uptown area.) Easy walking distance to restaurants and Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village. Nice options for light breakfast with a help-yourself-to-whatever-you-need-in-the-kitchen vibe. Enjoyed sipping wine on our little balcony overlooking Oak Creek. Rooms were comfortable and cozy. Beautifully maintained property.

My husband and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary in the Suite at Inn Above Oak Creek. We were welcomed with a Bottle of Wine and Anniversary card which was an added bonus. We loved everything about the stay. The great views, the gorgeous Suite and the convenience of your own in-room spa and jetted tub. I felt like we were in a treehouse with all of the open windows and balconies. The location was perfect and in the center of everywhere we wanted to go. The creek on the property is a great place to relax and my husband even did a little fishing. Kimberly was a great host and provided the best homemade muffins in the mornings and cookies in the afternoon. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, Relaxing stay at the Inn
First, the gracious hospitality shown by Kimberly and Rich was exceptional. The room was perfect for what we wanted: clean and fresh from bedding to bathroom. The setting of the Inn above the creek was relaxing and the breakfast of freshly made muffins, fruit and coffee great. Highly recommended!

Its a big beautiful bath tub for 2, just high to step in and out. Room needs shelving or table to put toiletries / makeup stuff. Gentlemen ( concierge ) is always very nice, kind and helpful. Breakfast is nice, fruits, oatmeal, bagels, milk , oj , coffee, hot tea, etc. Irish bar, latin restaurant is across the street and also Circle K convenience store.

We stayed there for 12 nights while hiking around and visiting from France. We had a great experience. The inn is lovely and the staff very friendly (Rich in particular). The location is great; not far from the restaurants and shops but in a quiet place. The creak and the garden are wonderful to cool down after a hot day ( it was really hot!!!) and having a balcony overlooking the river was a very nice bonus.
The homemade muffins available for breakfast were very tasty.
We will definitely visit again if we ever come back to Sedona.

Wonderful Inn. Perfect location. Very hospitable staff, xspecifically Rich and Kimberly. And of course, Kimberly's rescue dog, a little guy named Mokey.
We reserved room 11. Beautiful views from our balcony as well as having two person jacuzzi tub which was so therapeutic after those 10+ mile hikes. Very peaceful and quiet. Bed and pillows comfy. Breakfast was adequate with all the continental offerings plus hot breakfast sandwiches. Grounds were lovely.
Only feedback.
Suggest Breakfast time to start at 7am. Lots of folks start early.
The two person jacuzzi tub is also the shower. Although a bar/handle is provided, I must admit, it was awkward to get in and out. I say this as a caution.
I would definitely recommend those traveling to Sedona to stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights celebrating our anniversary in early May, and this Inn could not have been more perfect. Rich, the afternoon, host, could not have been more kind, more accommodating or more pleasant. The location is superb. Directly across the street is one of our favorite art galleries, Exposures Fine Art, and an easy 5 minute walk will get you to the shops at Tlaquepaque. The Inn itself overlooks the serene creek and park, and the outdoor setting can either be enjoyed on the large deck under covered umbrellas, or down next to the creek in Adirondack chairs or a hammock. While not the cheapest room in Sedona, this little 13 room Inn, is well worth the price.

The Inn Above Oak Creek could not have been better for us. Cordial staff, convenient parking, excellent location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants was an added bonus. View from our balcony was beautiful. Would highly recommend this inn!

If you're a young couple on a budget, and want to have the most convenient and relaxing stay possible, I couldn't recommend the Bonus Room more. A smaller room, it's perfect for people who came with an Itinerary, and is a perfect arrangement to come home, rest your head, and have a cozy morning in. The Continental breakfast saved us so much trouble for breakfast arrangements, and there are a dozen cozy nooks to settle and read in. If you're already out for hiking, the place is only a mile from the town center, and only a few hundred feet from the Spanish-inspired Tlaquepaque Market. Only piece of advice: don't leave food out, as ants are an unfortunate and unavoidable reality of creekside living.

My husband and I wanted a special place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We like quiet & quaint out of the way locations. This Inn is a very special place. Not only is the location perfect (less than a mile from the heart of Sedona yet feels like you're farther from the crowded uptown), it's comfortable, peaceful and expertly appointed with everything you need for a sweet stay. From the freshly baked cookies in the afternoon to serene morning coffee & bagel, muffin or yogurt on the large deck that overlooks the creek. With the lovely flowers, and shady tree (with solar lights, hummingbird & squirrel feeders) - it was a delight from start to finish.
Richard was so helpful with recommendations on places to eat and how to find our way around the Inn's many amenities. I felt like I was a guest at a friend's home. The only drawback for us was the room we choose (#2 Creekside) though, lovely, was quite small for my husband and I. I chose the room based on the description of it being one of the quietest (which is paramount to us - the only real noise was if anyone was going up & down the wooden stairs (or the footsteps / voices from the room (and balcony) above us but all the guests were so friendly & respectful. We would definitely stay here again and would love to try out one of the larger rooms on the upper floor. Everything about our stay was just great - we were happy to have a cool, comfortable place to relax after the heat & crowds from "uptown" Sedona. We will remember this anniversary with very fond memories made.

We stayed three nights in Sedona and were lucky enough to find this beautiful place!
The Inn Above Oak Creek is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were beautiful, with balconies overlooking the creek below. The common area had a fireplace and comfortable seats for relaxing after a hike or tour. We could watch the birds on the large patio off the common area. Breakfast was available in the AM and coffee or water was always available too. One of my favorite treats were the chocolate chip cookies that were always on the table waiting for us! Our host was Rich and he was fantastic. He recommended places to hike, restaurants to visit, and ways to get around town to make the most of our stay. Rich would greet us when we returned from a day out and was truly interested in our adventures.
We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely return the next time we visit Sedona.

This inn is located on a busy highway, but the traffic calms down at night. The rooms in the back overlook Oak Creek and have stunning views of the mountains in the distance. We appreciated the spaciousness of our room and having a balcony. It was also a huge plus to have access to a refrigerator and microwave in the kitchen and to be able to fix our own breakfast early. Since we went hiking every day, this enabled us to get going early, prepare our lunch, and occasionally heat up our take-out dinners. The home baked cookies and muffins they prepare every day are a delicious treat too! We got to know Rich pretty well as he was on duty when we checked in. He was very welcoming, kind, and helpful. We appreciated the tips he offered for hiking and restaurants.

Warm welcome from the hosts with cookies and coffee on offer, decent room on 2nd floor with good continental breakfast each morning offering range of cereals, bagels, fruit and coffee/tea. Not the cheapest boutique B&B - but we would return if ever back in Sedona - well done!

Stayed here for 2 nights. The inn is right in the middle of things, walking distance to great restaurants, shopping or just walking around to view the majestic red rocks. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Free parking and continental breakfast with coffee and cookies available 24/7. We stayed in room 12 which is upstairs ( no elevator) which had a great view of the creek and the red rock mountains. Large jacuzzi tub was appreciated since the weather was chilly and raining. Room has a fireplace and a comfortable bed. Only negative was the carpeting could use updating or stretching as it was raised in several spots.

Overall, we felt at $400+ per night, the Inn felt short on our expectations. It was definitely not an upscale experience if that’s something you’re looking for.
Positives:
- The person who helped us check in was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful
- Location was great - walking distance to restaurants and shopping; 5 min driving from Uptown
- Room was very clean and quiet
- Bedding was comfortable and we slept well
That said, we thought all the above could have been achieved by a hotel with half the price. And here are where they did not deliver:
- The room was dated and needed a major renovation. Although I had seen the pictures, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and falsely hoped that the pictures were not doing justice given the glowing reviews from many other guests. In reality, the room’s conditions were close to, if not below, the pictures.
- Poorly designed bathroom. We stayed in Room 5 and although I had known the sink would be outside the bathroom, the bathtub almost occupied the entire space in the bathroom and the toilet was almost right on top of it (as a result, the towels were placed right next to the toilet — this is bad hygiene practice). Maybe put in a shower with a smaller footprint?
- Checkout was 11 and we were not planning to leave town until the pm, and asked the person checking us out if we could leave our luggage there. The person seemed very surprised by the question and made me feel as if it was a big imposition on them. I thought it should have been a fairly common question from guests and I did not appreciate the way they reacted to such a simple request.
- Lastly, we had known the Inn did not provide hot breakfast, but with a full kitchen in the center of the first floor, it really should have been something they thought about. The continental breakfast was not consistent with the price tag.

We chose this hotel because it’s not part of a chain and seemed quieter in a better setting than others and it was a good decision. We stayed in room 1 which overlooks the creek, very convenient for luggage as we had a lot but balcony is adjacent to communal balcony which was quite well used when we were there.
Breakfast arrangements are good, with plentiful supplies including fruit and very nice raisin and bran muffins.
Easy parking and possible to walk into the town in the evening which is a bonus.

First, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was lots of natural light. There is a parking lot, so parking was easy. We stayed on the second floor. There is no elevator, so we did have to drag our luggage up the stairs. No one offered to help with luggage except when we were departing, but at that point, we had brought everything downstairs. Our room did not have a balcony, but there is a nice sized balcony off the downstairs lobby with several tables and chairs that is available to all who stay there. We sat outside several times during our stay as the weather was great. We skipped the breakfast at the inn and drove to Sedonuts which is wonderful. It was an average hotel breakfast offering with muffins and bagels and coffee. We liked that there were a number of restaurants for dinner within walking distance. Some of the restaurant parking lots are small, so walking was the best option. The one big downside to this hotel was the toilet and shower. I am not sure why hotels put in low toilets. I have bad knees and trying to lower myself on a toilet near the floor is difficult. The bathroom had a jetted tub, and trying to climb in to take a shower was not easy. I liked the location of the inn, and it was very quiet. I would stay again when visiting Sedona.
