Fantastic one night stay to visit the Falls, staff very friendly and a really lovely warm welcome, coffee in room, coffee in main entrance for free, great atmosphere. Beds fantastic and slept soundly no complaints. Breakfast is reasonable buffet style with plenty to choose from

Stayed for 2 nights as part of our trip to New York and it was an ok experience. Check in was brilliant, the person on the front desk was very welcoming and was really lovely so that was a great start. Got to the room and at first glance looked brilliant but then we found little bits that reduced my score for this place. It's very tatty, wallpaper peeling off, chipped furniture, stains on the ceiling and carpet. The shower takes for ever to get warm too. There's huge pipes exposed in the room and an air con unit that is massive and just turns on randomly, and it didn't warm the room up when we got a bit chilly. Housekeeping did a good job to begin with, the room was really clean but not great after the first night, clean towels left but they didn't replenish the coffee or put clean cups in so we were unable to make ourselves a drink the second morning! The room was at the back of the hotel so no view and a constant noise of something like an industrial fan blowing all night and trucks coming at 5am making a noise under the window! However, the bed was comfy and the pillows great too! An alright stay but I would go elsewhere if we visited Niagara Falls again.

My husband and I had an unforgettable stay at the Giacomo, and a huge part of that was thanks to Warren, who truly made our experience exceptional. The room was spectacular, but it was Warren's service in the lounge that made our night special. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, making us laugh and helping us connect with other guests. Even when faced with a rude couple, Warren remained professional and provided them with the same outstanding service, which really impressed us.
As someone in Talent Management, I can confidently say that Warren has a bright future ahead. He is a tremendous asset to the Giacomo, and his passion for his work shines through in every interaction. Though I’m not usually a hugger, I had to ask for one when we left because Warren made our first trip to the US side of Niagara one to remember. We can't thank him enough!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

My husband and I stayed at The Giacomo Hotel to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Hotel is located very close to the Falls and all the attractions and nearby restaurants. We stayed in the Rapid Grand Deluxe with whirlpool tub. We booked this room for the king bed and whirlpool tub. Bed was very comfortable. Whirlpool tub was very refreshing to use at the end of long day of touring. Breakfast is not continental. It is a full breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage. Sometimes, they had French toast and sausage gravy with biscuits. They also have cereals, assortment of breads, bagels and muffins. They also have a waffle maker if you want to make your own waffles. Everything was delicious. They have a bar and lounge that is opened from 5:00 - 10:00 pm. We didn't go into the bar, but it was open. It has the Skyview Lounge on the 19th Floor to also relax and watch the fireworks at 10:00 pm every night. They also have a fitness center in the basement that consists of a universal, weights up to 50 lbs., treadmill, and recumbent cycling equipment. Ice is also located in the basement.
There was a minor hiccup with everyone had to leave the hotel immediately as there was an emergency on one of the floors. Apparently, some guest decided to use the fire extinguisher which caused the alarms to go off and the local fire department came. We were back in our rooms about a half hour later. This just shows how automatic the emergency systems work and how much the hotel management look out for the safety of all their guests.
We had a great time and would stay here again. We can't wait to go back to explore the Canadian side!

We had the best times when we took the short walk across the "Rainbow Bridge" to the Canadian side where we took in the amazing views as well as enjoyed the great eats and carnival atmosphere.
Our room was both spacious and so comfortable. The bathrobe was to die for!

Very overrated and over priced boutique hotel.
Pros: nice art deco style, close to Niagara Falls and dining, good breakfast, free parking in secured lot
Cons: hotel hallway wreaked of the smell of pot (not hotels fault but they did nothing about it), stains on carpet in room, A/C and other outlets cut off in room when doesn’t detect movement for 45 mins (room was always hot).
What we did: spoke with hotel staff several times. They tried to be accommodating by giving us another room at 10 pm but the new room was closer to the pot smell and there was a barking dog next to us so we back to our first room that was hot. Not a good experience for what we paid!
Also please note there is no turndown service, no chocolates on the pillow, etc. as the website says. If they aren’t going to do this they need to take this off the website. The hotel is not as nice as they try to sell it. I don’t recommend a stay here.

All staff very polite, helpful, courteous, attentive, and friendly. Breakfast a little bit different each day, but in a good way; tasty every time.
Room=Yuk:
-Had to sidestep around the bed in order to move about the room.
-Large (eighteen-inch diameter) stain in carpeting.
-Carpeting worn down to nothing where it met bathroom floor.
-You can turn on the light at your desk, or plug in your computer, but not both.
-Room lighting half-way between night light and the normal intensity you would have at home. You could see to move around but couldn't look at yourself in the mirror and adjust your clothing.
-Gas cylinder in desk chair leaky. While seated at the desk, I had to stand up every two minutes, raise the chair to its full height, then begin sinking.

Free parking is a great plus
Room was nice
Bed was comfy!
Our toilet wouldn’t even flush 1 piece of toilet paper.
I called to ask them to send someone to help. The lady who answered clearly didn’t want to help. I could hear the hesitation in her voice. When we went downstairs gorge evening she was sitting talking to a coworker … lazy!
I called back later when we returned, and a man answered… he came up himself and helped us.
The bar service needs work. We went down for a drink. Waited 10 minutes for anyone to show up and give us a menu. Bartender then left again for at least 15 minutes before coming back. We had already decided at that point to leave. It seemed she was leaving to talk to coworkers in the breakfast area. This seems to be a problem here. Too much sitting around for the employees.
The lady who prepares breakfast was kind and works hard. And the men who helped at the front desk were also kind and helpful. Anyone else.. not so much.
I read a review that the hotel is In a bad neighborhood. That simply isn’t true. it’s right in the thick of everything. Very easy to walk to the park and close to all the restaurants. The location is WONDERFUL…
Hotel itself has many good qualities. But the customer service is VERY lacking …if that could be fixed we would stay here again. Not sure if we want to take that risk, however.

We had a great time at the Giacomo Hotel! It was substantially cheaper than big chain luxury hotels in the area while having a lot more personality-- there was no confusing this hotel for anywhere else. We were able to watch fireworks over Niagara Falls from the Skyview Lounge on the top floor, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning provided much-needed nourishment after a long day of hiking. It was a super easy walk down to the waterfront, with piles of places to eat nearby and staff ready to help. My one regret is that we missed going to the iconic lounge and bar, since it wasn't open very late. Truly a great place to stay!

The hotel was very art deco as described, checking in was easy and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and as described online. Breakfast was great and very filling! However we always missed the cookies offered during the evening time. The hotel was very close to the attractions, an easy walk to most places. The front desk attendant, Austin was awesome and extremely helpful and gave us great info about restaurants and local attractions to try nearby. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to Niagara Falls.

This is a beautiful, romantic hotel. The bed is very comfortable. The whirlpool tub was wonderful and fit two people easily. The shower was luxurious. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious, plentiful , and restocked quickly. However, there were no robes as advertised, no chocolates in the room upon arrival as advertised, and no room service as written in the in-room booklet. We were hoping for breakfast in bed. I also requested a bottle of champagne in the room on arrival as part of a sweetheart package, but we never received it. I also called for towels and were told they’d be sent right up but they were never delivered. The hotel was lacking excitement. It could use music in the lobby, lounge, or skyview lounge. We did have the skyview lounge to ourselves and the view was beautiful. It was nice to take our drinks up there to relax and talk. Restaurant dining would really elevate this hotel. And the lobby cookies and coffee were taken away early in the evening.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Warren was extremely nice and made us feel welcome. Clean, tasty breakfast, close to the falls, park, shops and restaurants, dog friendly. Modern convenience with a vintage shark, definitely recommend!
