This was our first time at the inn, but it won't be our last! It is a historic building, and as a result, there are signs of wear, which one could choose to experience as a look into the past. We settled into one of the king suites, which was clean, attractive, and adequately furnished. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the restaurant on site. Staff was friendly and very helpful. One of the desk staff took the time to let us peek into the other king suites, as we look forward to our next visit! If you're looking for a place with charm and historic character, we'd recommend The Country Inn of Berkeley Springs, WV!

We've been staying here for years and love the charm of the old section of the hotel, but this trip was a little different. Use caution with which room you book as we had no hot water for our showers. Luke warm is being generous. We were in room 27....

We've been staying here for years and love the charm of the old section of the hotel, but this trip was a little different. Use caution with which room you book as we had no hot water for our showers. Luke warm is being generous. We were in room 27. The lady at the front desk said that this room is the farthest from the hot water heater and that it generally doesn't really start to get hot until the restaurant starts moving hot water (our room was directly under the kitchen because we could smell whatever was cooking through the bathroom vent). My wife tried to shower Friday night and it was unbearable. I tried Saturday morning and froze trying to shower. We undoubtedly will be back but I assure you we will not stay on the wing rooms on either side (had a similiar problem on the farther room on the right side of the hotel three years ago). These were standard queen rooms, the queen suites are more in the main center part of the hotel and I suggest requesting them. Not a great stay in winter when all we wanted was a warm shower.

What a great stay we had with the overnight Romantic Getaway package, which included a fantastic couples massage at the onsite Renaissance Spa. Absolutely loved the historic inn and our dinner and breakfast meals at the restaurant, and so pleased with the excellence of the spa facilities and team. Staying...

Staying at the inn while the beautiful Christmas decorations were still up was a total bonus, as was the complimentary pink champagne that goes with the Getaway package.

The Tavern is the place to be. It is so cozy and welcoming! It feels like a home away from home. Mary was the best server! She made our trip. She was a blast. Heather is the best bartender! I am a picky eater and I can’t find anything here...

We had dinner with friends before the annual Cocoa Crawl in Berkeley Springs. Dinner was delicious, but our server, Mary, made the meal extra fun and delightful! She’s a hoot and she took great care of us!! Highly recommend the restaurant…and Mary!

The restaurant is absolutely amazing with top notch chef inspired creations! Service is exceptional with a special shout out to Cardin Beal! He’s an amazing server…very efficient and pleasant! Everyone who works there goes above and beyond!

Last night, we ate at the Tavern Restaurant and our waiter, Bodie, was very attentive and helpful. He checked in on us numerous times over the course of our meal but was never intrusive. I recommend Bodie, and the Tavern Restaurant, very highly.

This humble historic Inn punches above it's class in all aspects. Like many historic hotels, the balance between presevation and renovation is a fine line but these folks walk it well and with a strong attention to guest services and amenities. On arrival, we had a few hiccups with the amenities in our room but the staff was patient, understanding, and reactive. It's impossible to prevent all of these issues all the time, so the passion of the ownership to accomodate a guest is a massive deal! Thankfully our stay was stress free thanks to the patience, attention, and responsibility of all the staff and the leadership. Great location, Great massages (better than the guys around the corner), Great food (make reservations!), Great service, a Great Honeymoon! Even if you're just passing through, book a night here, walk the shops in the afternoon, come back for dinner and leave a well-fed, well-rested the next morning!
