This was our first visit to Hexham meeting friends, and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel to stay in for the Saturday night. The Beaumont is so central to the town, and has a warm vibrant atmosphere from the moment you arrive, where everyone was sitting outside having drinks in the sunshine enjoying themselves. We managed to get parked ok with help from the hotel, which was a plus as it was restaurant weekend so very busy in Hexham. The hotel staff are so welcoming and give first class customer service and go the extra mile. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our rooms decor was very modern, clean and very quiet. The bar on the evening although very busy, the staff worked so hard and you didn’t have to wait long for drinks order. We actually ate out that night but the food we saw looked really good and it came highly recommended from everyone. We will be returning again as we had such a lovely stay, so would highly recommend the Beaumont and big thanks to Roger, Florin and Maria.

A great, well established hotel!
A great atmosphere, excellent food and drinks and outstanding customer service. We stayed here with another couple and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to friends and family. Even the weather came good and the park opposite provided a lovely scene for our breakfast table.
An exceptional hotel - a pleasure to stay here .
I have reviewed this wonderful hotel before but must continue to praise. Over the last ( I think about eight years) The Beaumont has been totally transformed and every year I stay I think it can’t improve or maintain their incredibly high standard. Everything about it is exceptional . The...

Fantastic 3 days spent at the Beaumont.
It’s our 4th visit and as ever it’s a great way to re- energise in a relaxing environment with such friendly staff.
The Northumberland gastronomy that the menu provides is very clever and an explosion of local flavours is backed up with an array of well selected wines - Albariño albeit Spanish or Portuguese is recommended.
If you enjoy a Margarita then opt for the Mescal - you won’t be disappointed!
The restaurant and lounge areas are very well captured In the soft evening ambient lightning and the glass fronted ground level provides beautiful vistas of the park and historic abbey.
Room 28 and 29 offer views across the rooftops and beyond towards Corbridge from the outside balcony - highly recommended.
Take the time to enjoy this beautiful boutique hotel but don’t ignore the history of the town of Hexham and neighbouring enclaves.
A visit to the Abbey crypt is well worth the large stepped decent and a trawl through the local antiques often uncovers a gem or two.
There’s no shortage of artisan trades in this thriving town and the independent retail owners are testimony to that.
An afternoon of spa relaxation at nearby Slaley Hall shouldn’t be discarded and of course a trip along the ‘Wall’ and many of the Roman Forts is a must.

Very comfortable, smart hotel overlooking the park opposite and just up the road from the Abbey. Great location in the centre of town. We had a superior double with a generously sized, smart and trendy bathroom and plenty of space. Good quality furnishings and a great lift (much appreciated as our room was on the third floor). Very good breakfast served in the open sided dining/bar/cafe area to the front of the hotel. Lots of choice and really good cooked dishes. Excellent quality croissants and bread (quite rare these days) and preserves. Fresh fruits and yogurt. Sampled the scrambled eggs with smoked sea trout, eggs Benedict and Florentine, poached eggs with avocado and French toast with berries and cream. A complimentary drink on check in was much enjoyed. Pleasant staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The only downside is the rather difficult and restricted parking situation at the hotel but being given a council parking disc on arrival helped.

We travelled up from the south to beautiful Northumberland for new years eve, and we stayed three nights at the Beaumont, we had a great time. We had a standard double room but the room was a great size with a super king bed that was very comfortable, the shower was unbelievably good. Downstairs in the hotel which was one open plan room with reception bar and restaurant all together which felt a little cramped when busy but was very tastefully decorated the bar had a good selection of beers and wines and specialised in cocktails the staff were extremely friendly and the food was of good quality. The breakfast was great with a varied selection of hot and cold..theres a small car park out the back which to fair we never struggled to find a space.all in all we had a lovely three night stay at a very reasonable price considering it was the xmas/newyear period.perfect base to explore one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the British isles.

Ate in the restaurant on our 2nd night. Great atmosphere and service and the food was outstanding. And there were the pommes pavé……..potatoes are good, but who knew they could be that good?!
We’re definitely going back.

The Beaumont never fails to disappoint. We have stayed here several times and the hotel and staff members are consistently excellent. The rooms are well appointed and well maintained (we have noticed bathroom renovations in some rooms). The bar and restaurant is always buzzing and the breakfast is delicious.
The Beumont experience was fabulous. Check in was helpful, efficient and friendly.
Great rooms, comfortable, beautifully appointed, spacious. Dinner was also excellent, wonderful ambience in the room, friendly fun service. Also a great breakfast, what's more to say.

The Beaumont Hexham was a relaxing overnight stay. We managed to grab one of the limited parking spots opposite with the hotel able to offer a disc with 2 hours.
By booking direct, we were given two free drinks in the bar (nice touch) and our very comfortable room had those twin essentials of underfloor heating in the bathroom and bold fish wallpaper.
Plenty of care and attention from the staff despite a busy Saturday night. A convenient base to explore the town on foot and would be happy to return.

Outstanding Hotel and Staff.
Had the pleasure of a 3 day stay last week. The hotel is faultless. Roger and his team have everything perfect. The room was beautiful, underfloor heating in the bathroom. Florin is a credit to the hotel, and a special mention for John. His customer service is wonderful. Thanks so much.
Amazing New Year’s Eve break

We stayed at The Beaumont in a superior room (room 10) on New Year’s Eve. Inconveniently this is my husband’s birthday and I often struggle to find somewhere that isn’t full of parties and exuberant celebrations which aren’t our thing.
We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast deal which was excellent value including 2 complementary welcome drinks. The room and particularly bathroom were beautiful, underfloor heating and lovely large free standing bath a treat. The super kingsize bed was perfect. Other than very heavy doors (unavoidable in such an old building) it was extremely quiet, we weren’t bothered by noise from any other guests which is always amazing given the date.
The restaurant was fantastic, a great buzzing ambience but not loud or distracting, with excellent service (thank you Dan) and a delicious menu for both dinner and breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the beetroot starter. The cocktails were also fabulous.
Please don’t be put off by comments about parking. We parked directly outside with a free parking disc provided by the hotel on arrival and it was easy to change the time at 9am the following morning at breakfast for 2 more hours until checkout.
Hexham was beautiful with such a variety of things to do in the locality and we will definitely be back. Thank you again.

Explanation about logistics & Parking (Parking is a weak spot) Disc supplied by Hotel. We were lucky we had access to one of their ^ parking bays next morning.
Room extremely comfortable with every possible extra bar Robes(not an issue) Room Housekeeping of an excellent standard.
Bathroom and facilities are exceptional. Love the fact that you can switch Ventilation off in bathroom.
Bar and staff superb especially Tori & Jon and the other members who made our stay excellent. Mixology to a high standard and found drinks and Wine at a good sale point.
Restaurant
Our dinner or I should say my dinner (Dinning with my Wife)
Was disappointing for me.
Soufflé was scorched and chewy. I followed with a Rib Eye MR which was also disappointing. Lot of sinew/Silver skin which price pointed at £38 !!!!. Spoke to Manager who very kindly Compt 2 digestives (not biscuits)drinks.
My Wife’s fish was excellent. As was the Wine.
Dinner the next evening was excellent Garlic Chicken & Venison followed by STP fab. All served by the excellent Tori.
We did not have breakfast either morning as we preferred to go or a walk. Then followed by brunch at the rather good Shire Cafe round the corner ran but the lovely Gen & Sue.
Beaumont Hotel is now one of our go to places and we will definitely return.
So thanks to all at the BM and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
