This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The room was extremely comfortable, lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was mainly a cold buffet and there were no dining options in the evening. Although they do offer a shuttle service into town where there are many restaurants. After 11am They provided a range of snacks including cakes., cookies and chocolates including gluten free options all complimentary which went down well with a coffee or tea late afternoon when returning from a day out. This was a great place to stay whilst we visited Acadia National Park.

I was disappointed in the quality of the room for the price paid. You can tell they facelifted an old Inn or Motel. This is not a Hotel. There are no amenities. There is nothing Bayview offers you can't get at the Holiday Inn for a fraction of the price....

I was disappointed in the quality of the room for the price paid. You can tell they facelifted an old Inn or Motel. This is not a Hotel. There are no amenities. There is nothing Bayview offers you can't get at the Holiday Inn for a fraction of the price. There are several other options in Bar Harbour for the same price, but they have all the amenities one would expect at a "Hotel," i.e., dining, pool, hot tub, spa, concierge, in-room dining, etc.

The hotel is aging poorly and not well maintained. The room was damp, musty, and noisy. I remain neutral on the customer service, though desk staff were not readily available when I had questions. The property’s location to shopping and dining was good, but this does not make up for...

The property’s location to shopping and dining was good, but this does not make up for the unpleasant state of the room at a nightly rate $600+.

The setting is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. They offer car service in to town which proved to be quite a plus since parking can be a challenge. The breakfast is better than a regular continental and they have baked goods out in the afternoon and evening. It...

The setting is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. They offer car service in to town which proved to be quite a plus since parking can be a challenge. The breakfast is better than a regular continental and they have baked goods out in the afternoon and evening. It offers a nice cosy feel and it was very clean. I would recommend this very a couples getaway although they did have some babies there.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Inn has comfortable, spacious rooms, outstanding views of Frenchman Bay and ample settings from which to enjoy them. The location is perfect, away from the bustle of downtown Bar Harbor but close enough to get there and to Acadia National Park within minutes....

We really enjoyed our stay here. The Inn has comfortable, spacious rooms, outstanding views of Frenchman Bay and ample settings from which to enjoy them. The location is perfect, away from the bustle of downtown Bar Harbor but close enough to get there and to Acadia National Park within minutes. A very nice self serve breakfast is available daily, featuring delicious baked goods ; try the blueberry muffins! Lastly, the staff is very welcoming, happy to help with hiking and other plans in this beautiful area. We would love to return one day.

The location of this beautiful hotel is right on the shore of Frenchman Bay with every room having a water-view patio. A different chef-inspired breakfast is served every morning with wonderful desserts with some featuring local blueberries. Fresh-baked cookies are also set out every afternoon. The first floor is also dedicated to visitors with pets with doggy-themed rooms . When you are ready to go hiking in Acadia National Park, free buses are nearby that you all across Bar Harbor. When you are ready to enjoy eating and shopping around the Village Green, the hotel offers free rides between 3 and 10. You can walk a little over a mile to get there as an alternative. This was the perfect location to enjoy the amazing Bar Harbor island!

The hotel is convent at how close it is to Acadia National Park and it is just a bit out of town so you avoid the chaos. That said, the cost of the hotel relative to what it is - is insane. Bad first impression. It looked like the hotel was run by homeless people, peeling paint, etc. Garbage everywhere in the courtyard. We immediately wanted to cancel but it was too late at this point. The lobby was decent though, and the room was fine, if a little run down. The staff was helpful, but they were not on-station for most of the time we were there, so we had to check out by ourselves with no receipt or anything. The wifi was slow and the password they had taped to the wall was wrong.

Wonderful hotel and lovely view. You are in walking distance to shopping but away from the crowd. Quaint place. Breakfasts are awesome and I gained a few pounds from that. There’s a bar there and cookies in the evening. Well kept. Love the view amenity. We stayed on the upper level in 307. Literally the only knock on the place is the beds. They are very firm so if you are older with joint issues you may find the beds a little uncomfortable. Staff is excellent and incredibly helpful and friendly.

Amazing view, beautifully decorated, excellent location! This newly renovated boutique hotel is perfectly located about a mile outside of downtown Bar Harbor. Lovely waterfront view! The lobby and is decorated beautifully and expensively; no, there isn’t an elevator, but there are only 2 floors so you won’t miss it. The lobby is gorgeous and the small bar pours stiff drinks. Rooms are huge, modern, and comfortable. Bed and pillows so comfortable! Housekeeping did a great job and everything was immaculate. Breakfast in the morning is lovely! Fresh breads and pastries (omg, the croissants!), fruit, eggs, various yogurts and homemade granola - fresh and delicious! The best part is the staff! Hannah at the front desk was sweet and friendly, and their concierge Greg was fabulous. He spent an extensive amount of time helping us plan Acadia hikes that would avoid crowds, provide easy parking, and give us the best views. (Nothing like advice from someone who has hiked the entire park!) They also provide nice hiking poles if you need them. In addition, Greg gave us great tips on where to eat and what life is like in Bar Harbor- he’s a huge asset to this hotel, knowledgeable and friendly! He also will run you to and from town so you don’t need to worry about parking. What a nice perk! He was always there to pick us up within 3 minutes. We hated to leave this awesome little hotel. We will be back!

Great stay! We were traveling with our dog and stayed in a dog friendly room. They provided a scarf, treats and a dog towel. There was also a dog bowl and bed in the room. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was excellent....

It’s a great location and they provide a shuttle service into town. Highly recommend!

The hotel location is perfect. So quiet compared to downtown and they have a great shuttle service at the hotel that will drop you off downtown. This is great because parking downtown can be difficult. We use them everyday and we would just call them and they picked you up very promptly. The service you get there is so wonderful. They do all the little things right. The free breakfast was really great and it was always different everyday. The pastry’s were so fresh and they always had cookies if you need a treat before or after dinner. It’s also so close to the entrance to the Acadia National Park which makes it very convenient. Bar Harbor is a cute town with very good restaurants and cute shops.

The private patio was really nice to sit and take on the scenery. Highly recommend!

Bayview is such a quaint hotel. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was very comfy. Love that there are sitting chairs in the room and outdoors to enjoy the view. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Front desk was super personable and assisted with all our needs. It's obvious that the whole establishment takes pride in their job and in making sure they make your stay enjoyable. Will highly recommend to others(already have twice) and return if ever in the area again!
