Located in the heart of North Creek, NY and readily accessible to nearby Adirondack ski areas and really one of only a few North Creek motel/hotel accommodations, I expected The Alpine Inn to be better than this, especially considering the price I paid (about $180/night including all fees and taxes) for a single room. First off, upon arrival there was no one to register me even though I arrived within the advertised check-in time (3 - 8 PM). Only because I had all my reservation details with me was I able to contact the emergency number (a third party) who fortunately was able to contact the owner for help. Each room requires a code for entry which I was never sent by any means even though the owner had my phone numbers and email address. When I used the code for the reception area the waste baskets were full and the reception desk was strewn with papers. There were no instructions about just about anything. Once inside my room I noticed dust and dirt here and there and a toilet that was not completely clean. There also was no phone in the room. The TV controller was very difficult to figure out and it appears that only streaming channels were available that included no local or standard national ones (e.g., NBC, CBS, etc.). Any premium channels (e.g., Amazon Prime, Paramount+, etc.) were not authorized for use. A few instruction sheets about the TV would have been helpful. In the morning when I used the shower the shower light was out so that it was difficult to see what I was doing. The only hotel personnel I encountered throughout the course of my stay was a cleaning person who was quite pleasant; no manager or check-in personnel at all. Pretty poor for the price I paid. One of the few pluses about The Alpine Inn is its location; easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. My next trip to North Creek I'll be staying somewhere else, believe me.

Absolutely terrible experience. In October 2023 I booked a two night stay at the Alpine Lodge for 6-8th September 2024 and having paid a deposit of $248.75 received a confirmatory email with the balance of $248.75 due on arrival.
On arrival at about 19:00 on 6th September I was astounded to find there were no employees on site and the door to what I assumed was reception had a note attached that if guests were checking in the details of their room and key code had been emailed and if this had not been received then a number was given to call - which I did and the call was obviously redirected to a home telephone.
The lady that I spoke to then advised me that they had attempted to charge the balance due in advance of arrival and because that had failed they had not sent details of how to access my room. My card had in fact been previously stolen and blocked in early 2024 but in any case there had, of course, been no prior warning that the balance was due prior to arrival or indeed that there was no manned reception at the property. In all my travels across the world I have never encountered a situation where a hotel has demanded and attempted to charge full payment before arrival.
Having then given the lady details of a credit card and paying a new balance of $250.13 i.e. a total of $498.88 for a 2 night stay, I was then given a room number and lock codes to gain entry.
The Alpine Lodge website gives the impression that it is a modern luxurious hotel but the reality is that it is more like a roadside motel with cabin style rooms and the room allocated to us was nowhere near worth the nearly $500 that had been paid for 2 nights without even breakfast. We had experienced more luxury in the hotel we had stayed at the previous night which cost $125 including full breakfast, i.e. half the price per night.
The room that had been allocated was dark and cramped, there was barely enough space to sit down on the toilet and whilst the shower had hot water the hand basin did not. The bed was a large king but it was also abnormally high meaning it was difficult to get into, by the same token the one chair, an old worn leather armchair, seemed to have broken springs it was so close to floor level.
Overall the descriptions and photographs are misleading and we were not the only people with the same problems regarding check-in on arrival. In summary the Alpine Lodge is not the place it makes out to be but is over-priced, lacking any form of personal welcoming touch and it would seem treats it's guests with utter contempt - even one star is one too many and I would recommend you stay somewhere else.

A special shout out to Hollie who went out of her way to make sure our room was in fine working order and even gave us her cell number in case there were any issues with the lock. We look forward to staying there again!

Great location, 5 minute drive to Gore Mountain, and in the center of the tiny town of North Creek. We first were in a Standard King which we found to be tight, but were then moved to the Luxury King, which was very comfortable with room to spread out, and a balcony off the back. Beds super comfy, and quality linens used. Appreciated the Keurig coffee maker in the room, and the basic breakfast in the shared common area of the lodge. Loved the smart TV and being able to stream with ease.

We loved the coziness of these rooms and the fireplaces make it just even that much better.. can't wait to come back again for another ski trip during this winter!
Bathrobes are a great touch!
Location is great as well to all the cool restaurants downtown.

We have been trying to explore the less populated areas of the Adirondacks and found this lodge on a map search. We loved the looks of it and decided to give it a shot.
We had our expectations met above and beyond. The check-in through email was effortless. Everything was explained perfectly. Anything we needed, Stephanie was very quick to respond. She was easy to work with right along, I can have a lot of questions!!!
The "great room" has everything you may think of, including espresso and popcorn. It was a nice place to sit and chill.
We had a luxury king, and it was just perfect!! It's much larger than the photos online look. It was nice that you entered the room in the front (no steps), and then the back was on the 2nd level.
We enjoyed the fireplace outside in the Pavillion 2 of our nights here. There is plenty of firewood provided.
The cute town has several little shops plus some really good restaurants, the locals are very friendly.
We are planning a return in warm weather.
My only negative is that there aren't any hooks for the coat. The closet only had 2 hangers, and the carpet was surprisingly old, stained, and separating at the seems, BUT it was clean.

Awesome experience!! Brought my gf here for her birthday! Saw a TikTok on this place so we drove 4 hours from the Poconos. Definitely recommend visiting this cute lodge! Also had a nice lobby area that had coffee and snacks for guests. Will be back soon!
We had a really great time! We loved the look and feel of our room. It was perfect for our weekend away and would definitely go back! Tops and Walgreens within walking distance. Little shops and restaurants around.
