I have been coming here for 10 years. My grandmother, Annamaria Griffa, was a regular guest, and I continue to return because of the long-standing staff members like Davide and Emanuele at the bar, who are extremely professional, passionate about their work, and treat guests with great kindness. However, the new staff is incredibly rude. I recently visited the spa and paid for a one-hour massage with Eleonora, which only lasted 30 minutes and was terrible. When I complained to her colleague Vanessa, she treated me very poorly and told me to leave. Cazar at the restaurant was also really unprofessional. It’s a shame because the pool is unmatched, but the new staff has made the experience unbearable

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Could not fault anything about this property (other than the smell - buy hey, thats the natural springs).
Stand outs for this property was the excellent service, staff were attentive, helpful with suggestions and making bookings for us etc. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh juices, chef to cook eggs etc. Springs were a lot cleaner and warmer than the popular public one across the road. I dont play golf, but beautiful golf course as part of the resort grounds if that is your thing. Whilst we were staying, it was my birthday and the hotel left a gift and card in my room. It is small, extra details that makes the difference.
Also great location to visit areas in the region.

First off, the positives: the hotel and its grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The proximity to Saturnia Springs and Saturnia itself is unique, and lying in the warm natural spring is very relaxing.
However, the hotel fails to justify its 5-star status and hefty price tag.
The main issue is the staff’s attitude. Upon arrival, they couldn’t find our booking. The receptionist then took three phone calls from other guests, making us feel unimportant and unnecessarily prolonging the process.
Lunch at the pool bar was another disappointment. We waited over 20 minutes to order while the waiter chatted with friends. The whole meal took over an hour and a half. The food was average and overpriced—the pinsa was basically cheese on toast, and the paccheri my wife had was unspectacular. Drinks were also overpriced, and there seemed to be an expectation for generous tipping.
To avoid another disappointing meal, we decided to dine in Saturnia, which was lovely. However, the hotel charged us 60 euros for a 5-minute taxi ride. The next night, it was 70 euros, then 80 euros with a mandatory 10 euro tip. This feels like opportunism from the driver and the hotel.
The main draw is the natural spring, a unique and relaxing experience, but the pool area feels dilapidated. We received one towel per person and one small carton of water per couple—stingy for a supposed 5-star resort. Waiter service was infrequent at best.
Breakfast was average and disappointing. Pastries were fine, omelettes good, but everything else was bland and unappetizing. The coffee tasted unpleasant and was lukewarm—quite shocking for Italy. The setting was also dated and unappealing.
To top it off, we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip upon checkout, which we found tacky.
Overall, this hotel relies too heavily on its natural spring attraction and prioritizes profit over providing a unique guest experience. Next time, we’ll stay in Saturnia itself, which was beautiful.

The breakfast is wonderful with fresh juice bar and the chef sliced up lots of fresh produce for us since we are vegan…nothing was too much trouble.
The healing waters were absolutely rejuvenating and rooms very comfortable and luxurious.
Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and memorable birthday!

Great food, good stuff. Recommend it. The area is idillyc nestled in the Tuscan hills. You can cycle to the public hot spring waterfalls in 5 minutes and get to experience the amazing setting there... Whilst then being able to get back to the peace of the resort!

Stayed for one night after visiting the Saturnia pools. When you arrive driving a long road past the golf course you know you have arrived somewhere special. Valet parking was included, room was not ready yet but we got keys for a locker, got changed, got towels and headed to the pool. After trying to free Prosecco in reception of course. Pool water is 38°, lovely. When the room was ready are luggage had been put in the room. Room beautiful, great night sleep. Had Aperol at the bar overlooking the pool, fabulous dinner and great breakfast. Car was ready, boot open when we asked for it. Amazing experience

The place is upscale, no doubts. But that's why you expect a lot from it, especially when you are paying over $400 for a night. And the feeling when you walk out of the front door after 3 days that could have been in paradise is disappointing. Starting with the hard time you have to reach the resort at night, with no proper and adequately lighted signs on the small hillside roads (my navigation stopped working several times due to lack of signal), and a semi-dark fenced gate where you must find a barely visible ring to request access, except that we drove off because we had the impression the place was closed.
Then the room: the size of a Manhattan hotel room worth less than $200. Tiny, with no place to even open your luggage and not a shelf in the bathroom to put your beauty case (my wife was very unhappy...).
And finally the Restaurant: totally inadequate for such a presumptuous place. A lot of fancy dish names, but no substance at all. We ordered a Tuscany lentil soup that tasted like lentils straight out of a can without any seasoning. Had to flood it with parmesan to get a slight sense of taste. The tagliata was equally tasteless and far from the great Tuscany tradition of superb beef meat. Deserts mediocre and totally forgettable.
As for the positives: breakfast is rich and attractive, with handy fruit/vegetable centrifuges to make by yourself delicious juices to start your day on the right foot, and plenty of other offers, mostly healthy and tasty. But the pools are the real attraction, or better, the spring water is the real attraction. The pools are pools: maybe you would expect something more "nature-shaped" rather than a large rectangular standard pool, but the water itself is quite attractive, warm and soothing. It's fun to locate the bubbling spots and spend time there, letting the bubbles tickle your body while you float with the help of long styrofoam sausages. It smells like sulphur but not overwhelmingly. The personnel is generally courteous and respectful. And most importantly, people seem to adapt to the rule of silence and even if the pool gets somewhat crowded at times, you are rarely disturbed by noisy or chatty guests.
Overall a mixed experience, but certainly not up to the expectations for the price.

This is an exceptional hotel, beautifully located 2 hours drive from Roma. Great rooms, terrific restaurant, unique mineral pool built directly over the source with high concentrated sulfur water.
A travertine rock has created a natural spa, where the water is warm and the view is to die for. It’s 37°C (98.6°F) constantly and comes from a source underground brimming with sulphur and other minerals.
The hotel has a hammam and sauna as well.
The only problem we had was a poor management of the pool and spa areas:
1. We haven’t seen any one taking a shower prior entering the pool;
2. People in the sauna are sitting directly on the benches touching them with their buttocks and feet;
3. People are leaving towels, shower caps, sleepers inside the sauna and hammam;
4. People are leaving the swim suites to dry inside the sauna;
5. A big collection of forgotten swim suits was hanging in the changing area and nobody cares to remove it.
6. We haven’t seen any signs requesting the guests to follow the simple steps that I have mentioned above.
All these made us very uncomfortable to enter the spa which was the main reason to visit this hotel.
It doesn’t take much to fix all my notes and make all the guests happy and welcome.

The whole staff is amazing and we had a wonderful stay. Few things that require some improvements is the casalle area which is reserved for hotel guests (not sure if they allow non guest to access this for a fee?) It requires a maintenance as the shower have some moulds. Food is great, we also tried the massage here but it’s disappointing. The therapist came to us 10 mins late, our massage is supposed to be 50 mins but overall it was just 30 mins (they start the timing even the changing of clothes). We are from Asia and we can get better deal with really good therapist that focus as per your own preferences. We will stay here again for the thermal pool and the convenience to freshen up to your room but we will not do the spa anymore.

We have known this place for along time even if we didn’t come back since 2018. The location is always very nice , the rooms are very large and cozy . We chose a deluxe but we had an upgrade.
The Personnel is very welcoming and professional , also the swimming pool area is very relaxing.
The breakfast is always rich of very good products : salty and sweet . The location of the breakfast buffet is not so close at the tables as in the past.
We have been happy to come back and it is always a wonderful place
