This is a nice resort with large rooms, a great poll and lagoon area and 2 beautiful little islands (motus) with bars and seating areas. So why only 3 Stats?
Because there are several flaws with the resort. They knew we would be arriving early, they told us at 9am that the room was already empty, and that there was priority for making up our room. We waited 5 hours. We had booked a suite with breakfast: surprise, it included only breakfast for 1. we had to pay 40$ for an additional breakfast of medium quality.
Tahiti is expensive. But we would expect value for money. The cocktails at the bar were 25$ and so bad that icewater has a better taste, the local beer was good and a real bargain for 13$ . The food was not exciting and not worth the price.
In summary; a nice location, a nice resort but much room for improvement on the gastronomical side.

Hotel is a nightmare! Vastly expensive, old tired fit out (incl pool area) toilet broke twice, safe broke twice (waited 3 hours to get items out first time and they never came back the second time!)
There are roosters roaming free all around the complex that cock loudly outside your window and will wake you at various times 3, 4, 5 am for 45 mins each time EVERYNIGHT! We stayed for 5 long days - we were exhausted after this trip. Certainly no relaxation.
The hotel did offer to swop rooms but also advised they can be heard everywhere!?! Lots of guests around us with the same issue.
Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere - many hotels in a much better location too.

The hotel is a little old but very well-kept. The rooms were big and pleasant, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed here as a stopover before moving to the other islands. It is excellent for this as it is a short drive on the water, and they will keep your bags until your room is ready. Most flights get in around 6 AM. The pool area is lovely, but the pool needs the bottom repainted, which is why I did not give it five stars. The food was good, and the small bar on the motu was great!

My husband and I came to check this t
Hotel out, previously called Manava Hotel & Resort. It’s been renamed for quite sometime per the front desk and still they haven’t updated this with Google or on any of Maps.
It was VERY windy and had a lot if empty chairs which blocked a beautiful view, so imagine them being full of people. It was an un necessary amount of chairs especially when you’re not booked.
We asked if we could see a room and have lunch, the front desk clerk got very flustered with this request to see a room. So we said we’d have lunch and come back, thinking they might be booked solid and waiting for check outs.
The place was empty, pool had about 5 people around it, restaurant had mostly French speaking folks, I gather locals for lunch.
We never got to see a room, that request was denied it was out of a norm for them. Very strange for a hotel.
I ordered a Caesar with tuna hubby and Ahi burger. The salad arrived and looked great, lightly seared Ahi and a REAL Caesar dressing that tasted of anchovies. However, when I bit the tuna which was partially cooked it was rimmed in CURRY?! It tasted so bad. I just couldn’t reconcile the combination.
There was one very busy waitress who didn’t come back to check on us so - I set the fish aside & only ate the salad, which was great!
When came time to pay, I explained to the waitress about the fish and to please take the price of the fish off the cost of the check.
SHE REFUSED to do it. I said I’ll talk to the manager, she grabbed the phone started calling someone. She was incredibly rude, stared, saying I shouldn’t have ordered the fish. (How was i to know it would be ?).
While she was on the phone I kept trying to pay-paid the bill and went to the front desk to speak to the Manager.
I encountered another rude front desk person. Asking WHY i needed to talk to the Manager, and to tell him the reason, the story, because “she doesn’t talk to just anyone”.
(What?!)
I told him it was none of his business I wanted to speak to her privately.
She came out and pulled her aside, told her the story. She then said she had to talk to HER manager- are you kidding me??
Forget it, i told her we were considering staying at the hotel on our next trip to Tahiti, but this experience just made out decision for us.
I thanked her for her time, i had paid the bill in full and assured her we would be telling everyone we knew about the experience we had.
Rude staff
Untrained in customer Service
No decision making autonomy
No understanding at all for how to deal with a simple situation.

A nice hotel for a short stay , offering comfortable accommodation.
The hotel is well situated, although 15kms from Papeete town it is in its own little oasis .
Accommodation is a little tired and needs an update but nevertheless our stay was comfortable. Breakfast and Dinners both very enjoyable. The bars around the pool areas are pleasing .
Tropical paradise setting, thoroughly enjoyable.
Outside setting was marvelous, truly a resort where you could spend most of your time when on the island. Although been around for over 20 years and showing expected signs of depreciation, very clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. Breakfast buffet is highly recommended, just be vigilant with the flies...

Stunning hotel, excellent rooms and very friendly & helpful staff.
The pool area is absolutely stunning, infinity pool and mini pier with a wonderful view of the island of moorea - I would definitely go back.
Hotel is located 15 minutes outside of Papeete town. It can easily be reached by taxi but bear in mind taxi fares are around $28 each way.
A regular bus service (bus number 20) operates near the hotel (5 mins walk) fares are $2.5 p/p each way - run every 30 minutes, but service terminates at around 7pm.
Drinks and food at the hotel are expensive, you’re limited as there isn’t much in the way of restaurants and bars outside the hotel, whereas if you choose a hotel that is located in Papeete town there’s lot more choice and prices are more competitive.
All in all I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend.

That said, and not to be a Debbie-downer, the water front property is excellent and the resort is away from the hectic noise of Papeete; we had a great nights sleep.

An attractive hotel with spectacular views, BUT don’t stay here if you’re a perfectionist! This is actually an apartment hotel where you can sleep four and have a balcony overlooking the Pacific while paying half the price of the Hilton just down the road. But there is a catch of course. Whoever designed the apartments was clueless. Everything is illogical! There is nowhere to hang a towel for instance and the toilet is inconveniently in the hall outside the actual bathroom; in addition, there is a senseless window between the bedroom and bathroom so if one uses the bathroom at night the light shines into the bedroom. Brilliant! But at least the bedside reading lights are good but forget reading in the living room where the lighting is totally nuts. Breakfast is fine and included. The staff is wonderful but the first night we were here the person at reception only spoke French which was unhelpful. There is a beautifully situated infinity pool but it has seen better days and now has cracks and patches throughout. There is also a lagoon pool but it was closed because of a broken pipe, whatever that means. I understand this hotel will soon close for a complete renovation. The sooner the better, but go soon if you want a bargain. In the future you’ll fork over a lot more for this beautiful spot.

Not enough towels in the room. It was difficult to ask for anything at the front desk because no one spoke English. Also difficult to order food and a drink and get what you ordered because no one spoke English. I am a travel agent and would never book my clients at this hotel.
My room was right by the highway and it was so noisy you couldn’t sleep.

Expected really luxurious resort for that price.
It’s not.
Rooms are run down, shower smells disgusting when you use it. It had a kitchen with no kitchen utensils. (A knife and a wooden spoon)
Pool needs total repair and referb.
The gym is tiny, any more than 4 people and you are stepping over each other.
Only ate here once, so over priced. Cheese burger, fish, 2 wines each $175A$. For 2 people. No mini bar. No free shuttle in to town.
Our ocean view was 50% blocked by palm trees. Woken up at 2am and 5 am by roosters every morning.
This resort was worth about half of what we paid. In comparison to other tropical holidays we have had.

The hotel is extremely worn down and the rooms & showers smell really awful, musty and moldy. Got respiratory issues from the mold after just one night & tried to cancel the rest of our stay. It took over 30 hours for us to get a response from management and the manager even refused to see us at one point, only sending one of the reception girls back and forth as a messenger because she was ”busy”. After 7 visits to the reception we were informed that ”no mold was found in our room” (a bunch of BS, if you just read the other reviews they will testify the rooms stink of mold). They would not refund the rest of our stay so we could change hotels. We were forced to stay, feeling sick the entire time.
Additionally the food at the hotel’s restaurant is extremely expensive and low quality. You’re also not allowed to have your own snacks at the pool (like a protein bar in my case). They have someone keeping an eye on you who will come & tell you to stop eating if you do.
The property also has so many birds, roosters and chickens (which might sound nice at first but I promise, it’s not). The roosters are loud through the night and you will not be able to sleep without earplugs. There is also no chance you will get to enjoy your breakfast in peace, as you’ll be shooing away said chicken and roosters, that are constantly & aggressively trying to jump on the tables.
Even if I had payed 1/3 of the cost I would NOT have been happy with our stay. Really expensive and all you get is a poor experience in return. Our entire time in Tahiti was unfortunately ruined by this hotel. Believe the bad reviews and steer clear of this place!!

Sadly, my husband and I only stayed here for one night. This was our first trip to French Polynesia, and we just needed someplace to stay in Tahiti before jetting off to another island the next day. Within minutes of our arrival, however, I really wished we had scheduled a longer stay! The expansive grounds and views of Moorea from our balcony and the dock were lovely. We enjoyed kicking back in the comfy seating areas, watching dolphins play and outrigger canoes speed past. The cheerful staff were all just wonderful. The private lagoon had plenty of cool fish and turned out to be a great place to safely get back into the groove of snorkeling. The resort had a complete array of water toys you could use from their dock: my husband tried paddle-boarding for the first time and I had great fun using one of the sit-on kayaks. Our room with its small kitchen was pretty and comfortable, huge and spotlessly clean. As noted by some other guests, it did have a mildew smell--not too surprising considering the high humidity in Tahiti. However, it became less noticeable when we opened the slider. If we return to this beautiful island, we will definitely try to stay here longer!

The outdoor area in the back of the hotel with the ocean setting is very nice. Although it can use some renovations, particularly the pool and outdoor dining area/tables.
The rooms are extremely outdated with dirty vents and furniture, and used slippers provided that are dingy and one pair, although washed, was very noticeably dirty and should've been thrown away. The dinner waitresses are a little more friendly than the breakfast staff. The front desk staff, it depends on who you get in how friendly they are.
The front desk staff speak multiple languages, French, English, and their native language at a minimum, which is great. Other staff is hit and miss for English.

No beach and super expensive
No place to sit in rooms. Rooms poorly insulated so had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Food and drinks were outrageously expensive. Buffets were over $40US and a single drink $20-$40US. A hamburger was $30US. The pool area was great but no beach so pics were deceiving.
