This is truly a slice of heaven on earth! My husband and I booked a beachfront villa with a private plunge pool, full kitchen and many other amenities. It was stunningly beautiful, quiet and relaxing! The staff were welcoming and attentive to our every need. Great location on Muri Beach with amazing views and sunrises! As an added bonus, we were able to access the Pacific Resort Rarotonga facilities as well. Highly recommended. Although this was considered the low/rainy season, we were only "rained out" for 1 of our 8 days here--very lucky with the weather! The water was bathwater warm and the lagoon is calm and safe for snorkeling. Highly recommended!!

We stayed in the Ultimate Beachfront Villa, what stunning accommodation. Stepping from your private veranda straight into the beach, swimming in your own private pool, snorkeling direct from the beach or just relaxing in your quiet spacious air conditioned room it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. The free shuttle to Sandals bar and restaurant and charge back to your room is great. Handy shops directly across the road for snacks and essentials, and the Love Coffee Cart is definitely worth a visit. A great experience we hope to repeat.

Arrived from Sydney early in the morning. So when we arrived and informed our villa was not available this came at no surprise. We were allowed to use the facilities at the pacific resort until the vial was ready. When we were transfers back to our room we were so pleased with it. Private enclosed pool and court yard which led to a kitchen diner area with everything you needed washer/dryer , fridge, hob, microwave , and all the pans and utensil’s. A welcome pack of milk etc would have enhanced this although there were coffee pods. The sleeping /lounge area of the open room was spacious as well as the shower room. All to a good specification and comfortable. There’s a path that led through to a lovely beach although the waters too shallow to bathe in. There is across the not so busy main road a small supermarket to get essentials like wine. Also a Vietnamese street food outlet and in the mornings a coffee station that makes a good brew. We really enjoyed our time there in comfort and appreciated being always in clean clothing.

We were on our first trip to the Cook Islands and had no idea what to expect. The people on the island excelled, and I would have to say it has become one of my favorite places to visit. Arrival and Check-In From the airport to the villa was easy, just a quick shuttle away. The check-in was a breeze, and we were made to feel welcome from the beginning. Accommodation We had a beachfront villa with a plunge pool. The villa was well appointed with everything you need and a bit more. The villa comes with free Wi-Fi, which is important as the local Vodafone offering for tourists is quite expensive. The photos on the site don’t do justice to how nice the place is. Location and Amenities Straight across the road is a good mini-mart and coffee cart, and a great bar and restaurant called Mai’i Cafe & Bar about 250m down the road. The location is the best spot on the island. The Muri Lagoon has beautiful, turquoise waters that are magical. The night markets are close by; check out the “Yacht Club” as well. Tips If you are an AUS Telstra customer, global roaming does not work in the Cook Islands. There is a car and bike rental shop across the road called Cook Island Car Rentals. We had a buzz box car, a Toyota, for around $50.00 per day. We found prices like groceries and eating out about the same as in Australia and pub prices; there were no hidden surprises. Just go, you will love it!

Te Manava was an excellent spot to spend 3 nights in Rarotonga. At a quieter end of Muri Beach, it was still just a short walk along either the road or the beach to the main restaurants and the Muri Night Markets. Overlooking the lagoon, it was the perfect spot to lie back in the loungers and enjoy the view with a great sunrise in the morning being equalled by watching the moon rise over the water at night. The villa was well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed and lived up to the photos on the website. Access to fins and kayaks enabled us to explore the snorkelling within the lagoon. A great place to stay!

This review is purely for my experience with the massage I received at the day spa, we did not stay in the villas. My partner and I booked for a couples massage to relax and unwind at the start of our trip. I did some research first and chose the day spa at Te Manava as they offered a couples massage for 80 minutes. It seemed promising at the start but once my masseuse started I quickly realised a) she was either unqualified or b) she only had 2 motions which was up with both hands and very aggressively down again. There was no flow, no technique, and quite simply irritating. I could not wait for it to be over. She simple brushed passed all my knots in my back and shoulders and did not work on these once. Didn't touch my feet (I live for a foot massage) and when she did my scalp it felt like a child trying to scrape dandruff or something off my scalp? It was not enjoyable at. All. I have had a lot of massages over the years and have trained myself as a beauty therapist and this has got to be the worst experience I've ever had. Horrible. I got in the car and was so irritated I cried, whereas my partner had a great one and fell asleep. Polar opposite experiences. I'm so disappointed we paid that much money for that. They also did not ask at the start if there were any areas we'd like worked on because it felt like 30 minutes on the backs of my legs and that was super unecessary and with only going up and then down super fast that was a long time to lie through that. The masseuse asked 3/4 of the way in if the pressure was ok to which it was not. No care taken at all. No hot towel at the end, just your treatment has ended get up slowly and get changed. I've had so much better. Very disappointing.
