Truly one of the most beautiful islands! If you can’t recharge from life and relax here it can’t be done! From the moment they pick you up at the airport and whisk you off to the private boat ride to the island you are surrounded by caring and compassionate people. We had an over water bungalow (sunset) for half of our trip and an ocean side (sunrise) for the next part. Either option is amazing! There is as much or as little to do on the island. The food options (all inclusive) were top notch! Breakfast is ordered from a menu with a tray of coffee and fresh juice delivered daily to your cabana. Meals are served group dining style on the deck of the main lodge. Kayaks are available for exploring, hobie cat sailboats are there with guides to take you out anytime weather permits and snorkeling and diving tours are done daily. We didn’t do any mainland excursions as we were there to relax, snorkel, kayak and enjoy the sun! The resort only provides for about 32 guests so the attention to detail is above and beyond. The grounds are stunning and everything is so beautiful. The beaches are not typical for lounging on as the east side has a wall surrounding the area..the weather side is more of a lagoon setting but again the beach isn’t your typical sandy beach. Really not a problem tho! They have a great saltwater pool that seemed to be the gathering point at some point every day. If you want to get away and relax this is a wonderful option! Can’t forget about Elmer, our bartender..absolutely fantastic at his job and one of the nicest guys ever! Such a personal experience from daily drink specials to massages to a day designed especially to your wants or needs…you just can’t go wrong!

From the time you step out of the airport, this resort makes you feel special! My husband and I have traveled to many places over the years, typically staying at your normal all-inclusive resorts (preferably Secrets). So, the idea of a boutique style resort on an island was something totally new for us! We've heard great things from some friends that have stayed in the past, so we were excited to try something new, and I'm so glad we did!! This resort is stunning! The manicured lawns, the lush tropical plants & trees were like something you'd see in the movies! The resort staff was incredible & and so helpful with anything you need or any questions you'd have. Then, there's the FOOD!! Oh my!! It's fresh & delicious and so well thought out! In the evening, it's a full 4 course meal! All the accommodations are fabulous, and the beds are comfy. The A/C works well, and there are ceiling fans as well. Island life at its best!! We'll definitely be back!!

St. George's Caye Resort was the *perfect* honeymoon destination, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We booked the honeymoon package, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The resort went above and beyond with thoughtful touches like a private cocktail hour on a sandbar—such a magical experience—and a romantic private dinner one night. It truly felt like our own little paradise. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and caring, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and making us feel special. A huge shout-out to Ingrid for the amazing massages—such a relaxing treat during our stay! The food at St. George's was nothing short of exceptional. Every day, the kitchen team crafted a new menu, featuring the freshest ingredients. We were treated to incredible sea-to-table dishes, with freshly caught fish and lobster being some of the highlights. The meals were beautifully prepared, and the fresh pressed juices at breakfast and lunch were a refreshing addition to the already amazing dining experience. And we couldn’t get enough of the Belizean favorites like stuffed fryjacks. *Pro-tip:* definitely get a plain fryjack with powdered sugar on the side—it was *so* delicious! One of our favorite touches was the drink tray delivered to our cabana every morning. It was such a treat to wake up and enjoy a refreshing drink while soaking in the views. We absolutely loved the fresh pressed orange juice—*to die for*! What we really appreciated was the intimate size of the resort—only a max of 30 people, which made it feel like we had our own private island. It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers from all over the world. We loved sharing stories with guests from different countries, adding a unique and global touch to our experience. The cocktails were amazing too, and the bartenders were always ready to whip up something delicious. The drinks of the day were always a fun way to try something new! The resort's location was perfect—our overwater cabana offered spectacular views, and we loved having easy access to the reef, where we could snorkel and see plenty of fish around the cabanas and docks. Kayaking and paddle boarding around the caye were highlights of our day, and it felt like we were in our own peaceful paradise. Although there was wifi, we made the most of the opportunity to disconnect and fully enjoy the tranquility of the island. The nighttime vibe was exactly what we wanted—low-key, relaxing, and peaceful, providing the perfect end to our days. We also took the Mayan ruins excursion, which was a blast! Exploring the ruins and going on the hour-long jungle river cruise to get there was such a fun and unique experience. Overall, St. George's Caye Resort exceeded every expectation and was the perfect place for a romantic and unforgettable honeymoon. If you’re looking for a relaxing, intimate, and unique getaway, we can’t recommend this resort enough!

I just spent the better part of a week with my hubby here at this resort. We weren’t sure about the fixed menu at first but were assured by the owner that it would be fine. Well it was more than fine. It was delicious! Every meal was flavorful and more than enough to fill us both up. The resort isn’t filled with crazy tourists giving us the MOST relaxing getaway. We stayed in the over-water bungalow and it was spacious, private, air conditioned, and not far from the main building where we ate every meal. We met amazing couples who added to our enjoyment of being in a small intimate resort. We took part in a few excursions and they had superbly knowledgeable guides to fill us in on the areas. And lastly, but not least, the best part of the resort are the people. Every morning and any time we saw someone was a friendly, welcoming greeting. Everyone was so kind and made us feel special. Thank you St George Caye Resort, you made a holiday turn into an unforgettable experience.

St. George’s Caye Resort is a beautiful place to unwind. Very peaceful with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views. They have paddle boards, kayaks, and sailboats to use at no cost. Excursions need to have a four person minimum which can be a problem if there are not enough visitors to partake. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing and very filling. There is no TV and WiFi is limited. Perfect for unplugging from my phone. The spa treatments were absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the over the water Cabana’s which was a little on the hot side. There is an awesome breeze on the beach cabana side.

Our experience at St George's Caye was nothing short of perfect. As I followed their social media for nearly a year leading up to our visit, they exceeded all our expectations plus some. We stayed in an over-water cabana, which I highly recommend, although all the cabanas looked perfect. We did learn that if you keep the bathroom door closed, the room stayed much cooler. A tray of coffee, tea and juice is waiting for you outside your door every morning. I loved sitting on our porch with my coffee (which was delicious) listening to all the birds and watching the fish splash around. The food was absolutely amazing! You get a made to order breakfast at your leisure, from which you have a menu to choose from. Then, a set lunch and a set four-course dinner. I'm gluten sensitive and they accomodated my dietary restrictions with ease. You will not be disappointed by a single thing served. The guys in that kitchen have truly mastered their craft. Excursions were seamless and everything is taken care of ahead of time. We did the Mayan Ruins, which was breathtaking. Cornell met us with plaintain chips, which was cool. He took us to our guide, Isidrio, who was probably the best tour guide we could have asked for! We also did snorkeling at the reef. There were a lot of first-timers, including myself, and Freddie made us all feel so comfortable and safe. He knew the best spots and made sure mother nature put on a show for us. He was fantastic. Each captain we had made our boat rides comfortable. Our last day was a little windy. Our captain took a detour through the mangroves to make for a smoother ride. Saving the best for last, the entire staff is really what makes this place so special. They make you feel more like a friend than just some tourist passing through. We interacted most with Elmer and he really made our vacation something special. He made sure all of our wants and needs were accomodated, got to know us, played great music and kept our drinks flowing. Elmer, we'll be back to see you! Jose at the bar was great too. He told us about some of the island's history when i asked about pictures at the bar. And he is the man to ask about the puzzles. If you go, you'll know. The gals in the office, Jahnene and Iris, took care of all the financials and it was so nice to finally meet them after months of communication. Note: at the end of your stay, suggested gratuity is on the entire stay. This is because it is shared with all the employees. This is something we weren't accustomed to and wish we had known before hand. We'll be better prepared next time because they definitely deserve it. Overall, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. It was better than we could have asked for, and we're already planning our return.

There is so much to like about this small resort! But, if you want typical island luxury, this is not it. My bougie friends wouldn't have liked it. We did! Our room (in the only building) was better than expected. The cabanas were already booked, so this type of room was our only option and I think it ended up being the best for us! Huge, clean with a fantastic view. Shower was pretty good. The staff is so very nice. The food was great. No choice at lunch and dinner, but super accommodating with food allergies, restrictions, preferences. Excellent masseuse. My husband enjoyed fishing. The landscapers do a great job. You must love island life: beach, reading, kayaking, Hobie sailing, dock fishing, playing games (you bring). Not much to do on the island other than that (and eating and drinking), but it was good with us! You can also leave for the day to do paid excursions: cave tubing, ruins, diving, fishing, etc. With a little effort, they could improve the overall feel of the resort. Mops, cleaning supplies, empty trays, dishes etc were left out and about in common areas. A new, paddle board without paint chipping would be nice. Providing floats -- the only reason we had two was because the group before us left them. In five days, we were only asked once if we wanted drinks (all other times we had to walk to the bar to order). All little things. Some money should be put into the pool to make that area attractive. Also, landscaping to block the pool side graveyard! Regardless, we got used to all of it and enjoyed our stay. Met a lot of nice people since you eat all meals together.

This was the perfect honeymoon getaway! I'm not sure why there were negative comments about no TVs if you were going on vacation to unplug and decompress. TVs were definitely NOT missed on our trip. There is so much to experience and so much sun to soak up! You can do as much or as little as you want. There are a variety of excursions to choose from and plenty of activities on the island to do as well. The family style dinner was unique and very fun to socialize! Food and drinks were amazing! The food is definitely different from typical American fare - but that is a definitely a GOOD thing!! The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable! Communication was awesome! If you want to disconnect from the outside world and truly relax, this is definitely the place to come! We will be back with family and friends for sure!

There is no “entertainment” so you’re likely to turn in after dinner unless you create the party. I’d use the word “glamping” when speaking on arrangements. Note: Everyone uses filters these days! Pack comfortably, athleisure or swimwear. Very relaxed, no need for fancy dining clothes. The place is a divers paradise I heard from return guests. The staff will take you fishing and chef will cook your catch for dinner… if you ask! My husband enjoyed the local water activities: kayak, paddle boarding & snorkeling. The excursions require at least 4 guests and they advise planning your trips 48hours in advance. The property is on a Caye (key) with limited access to the city in Belize unless you purchase an excursion. You have the option to pay for a boat to shore but you must find your own transportation once you’re there. Booking through Expedia DOES NOT include the meal plan! Upon arrival I was greeted with a large bill due for 3meals per day. In communication with resort prior, you won’t be notified of that amount. The property is listed as “all inclusive” but it is not your typical. Most guests that arrived at the same time were not aware that drinks and snacks were not included. You pay for all drinks (other than the 1 rum punch per day), snack time is 2-4pm and you will pay for that. Included are breakfast of your choice, set lunch and set dinner (no buffet). While all of this is palatable, it would be better received if written in property information or made clear in one of the emails you receive prior to arrival. If you have dietary restrictions please send them in as requested. As all reviews have stated, the staff is awesome! All in all, I’d say, read reviews, ask the property any question you can think of as they are very responsive.

This a small resort...There were between 11 and 18 guests during our week stay here. The pick up at the airport and transport to the island was seamless. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rest of the island; not so much. There is a beach, but the water is full of seaweed so you can't really swim in it. They do offer boat trips out to a sandbar as well as kayaks and paddleboards. The huts have an air conditioner, ceiling fan and standing fan, but they are quite warm. Some guests moved their beds to be under the air conditioner in order to sleep. They are clean though and well maintained. There are no choices for lunch and dinner. You just sit down and are served. This made me nervous because my husband is picky, but the food was fabulous! All of the meals were tasty and innovative. We have traveled all over the world and their chef would be a success anywhere. After dinner, the resort pretty much shuts down. There is no entertainment although I did fish off the dock at night for tarpon. The staff was incredibly friendly and the drinks were very good. Now the diving...My husband and I came here specifically to dive the Blue Hole and surrounding sites. Our dive package was paid for in advance. This never happened because they said they did not have enough divers signed up for the trip. I did not know that this was a possibility and if I did we actually would have went elsewhere. We also dive with Nitrox which was supposed to be available but was not because their gauge was broken and apparently had been for weeks. We did do 16 dives in our week here with Freddis who was a great guide. It was truly valet diving...they set up your equipment and keep it for you during your stay. We are now spoiled! It was nice to be off the grid...no phones or TV. Would we go back? Maybe if they could guarantee our dives. Overall, a terrific vacation.

All the other reviews are correct, this place is awesome and the staff are uniquely very nice and caring people. Some notes - do the resort dive activity - it is a very short and easy lesson in the pool and an incredible dive along the coral reef and coral wall. Hint- you can do the dive again on subsequent days for just a $10 fee on top of the normal dive fee. Once we did the pool instruction, we dis diving every day thereafter. - kayak- everywhere! - do the cave tubing without the zip line. We dont zip line and it makes the day too long - just find another couple that wants to do that (you need 4 persons to make a land based activity work) - they are extremely accommodating to all the various vegetarian, no spice, no fish, yes fish, etc etc dietary needs - find Barry the manager and have him tell you the history of the resort, it’s buildings, and the people - borrow Pebbles from Barry- she is fun to play with! - on the internet - look up - accommodations - the overwater bungalows were too warm, the other bungalows were nice , the “captain’s quarters” room in the villa was exceptional

Absolutely loved staying here. They had a driver meet us at the airport which took us down to the marina where we were then taken by boat to the resort. We were greeted at the resort by Alex who checked us in and then took us to our bungalow. The staff here is phenomenal!!! This is a small resort total of 15 rooms so up to 30 guests normally. Breakfasts are made to order daily and then lunch and dinner are selected by the kitchen. They post early in the morning what lunch and dinner are going to be for the day. Dinner is a 4 course meal every day. All of our food was amazing, and if you have dietary restrictions they will work to accommodate. We saw this with several of the guests. Meals are communal which we loved, we made so many new friendships while meeting so many people while dinning. Coffee and juice delivered to our bungalow every morning around 6:00 am. No TV’s here! We loved this. The resort offers many included options to keep you busy while you’re here. Paddle boards, kayaks, sailing, fishing from the docks, free introductory scuba lessons in the pool, the pool is open 24-7. We had dolphins out in front of the bungalows a few of mornings that we were there, and saw manatees just down from the resort while we were paddle boarding nearly every day. They also offer many excursions from the resort. I highly recommend the local snorkeling trip, relatively cheap and the local reef is amazing! Every excursion we did and left early they made breakfast burritos for us and sent waters. We went fishing one of the days and they sent breakfast and lunch for us and our fishing guide. Also a cooler full of water, soda, and beer. We got to meet the owner Tim and have dinner with him Saturday on the beach, BBQ night in Belize. Great guy and I can tell you his staff love him. Like I said earlier the entire staff was great. Would like to give a special shout out to Elmer though, had many conversations with him and it’s an absolute pleasure to call him a friend. I’ll finish with this, like I said we absolutely loved stating here. Beds are comfortable and the bungalows were nice, but this is not the Hilton. For me the only thing that I could say they could do to improve the resort would be to repurpose the pool. Thank you to everybody at St George’s Caye for an amazing vacation.
