Another wonderful stay at the Sonnenalp. It is our home away from home. One of the most comfortable and luxurious hotels we have ever stayed in. We particularly like the fact that it remains family run and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The facilities, food and rooms are the very best and so much nice than other hotels which have a far more corporate feel. Year after year the standards remain so high. Thank you to the Fessler family and all the staff who keep us coming back year after year.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying a few days around Valentine’s Day. Our room was great. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was very spacious and we felt like royalty! The bathroom is HUGE with a giant bathtub. The heated floors are heaven! I had some difficulty adjusting to the elevation but the oxygen bar in the spa really helped me. The location was great-we could walk to restaurants, shops and the slopes!

Truly outstanding property with extraordinary levels of service. From the moment of arrival every need is anticipated and met. This was our second Christmas vacation that we spent at Sonnenalp, though we have stayed at the property many times over the past 12 years. As always, the entire experience was superb! We highly recommend Sonnenalp for both family and couple retreats.

Wonderful experience upon arrival thru our departure 4 days later. Staff was top notch that went above and beyond in making our stay memorable. Incredible bathroom facility and great overall room that was welcoming and spacious. Centrally located in Vail Village making it easy access to skiing, restaurants and shopping.

Great cottage feel with nice amenities and good breakfast feast. Not a ski in / out but does have an area near Gondola 1 for ski valet (which is great) - can leave skis / board overnight. Breakfast is a good selection of foods - buffet style. Fitness center is...

Great cottage feel with nice amenities and good breakfast feast. Not a ski in / out but does have an area near Gondola 1 for ski valet (which is great) - can leave skis / board overnight. Breakfast is a good selection of foods - buffet style. Fitness center is enough for normal gym goers - few machines and rack of weights up to 75lb dumbbells. Spa is great - outside warmed jacuzzis are a must (during the winter), indoor / outdoor heated pool. A good size dry sauna, steam room and cold plunge which are usable even when not getting any treatments (which is was really nice, since most hotels only allow use if getting treatments). Our spacious room had a fire place (great feature). Large bathtub for soaking. Bed was comfortable as well.
