If staying at Six Senses Rome was a sport, my wife and I would be gold medalists in never wanting to leave. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs—or maybe long-lost relatives they were thrilled to see again. They’re that friendly, that helpful, and somehow always appear at just the right moment. The design? Imagine a Roman palace had a glow-up: sleek stone finishes, lush indoor greenery, and a vibe that’s both effortlessly cool and deeply relaxing. Our room was a stunner, but the real crown jewel was the spa and Roman baths—absolute heaven. We spent so much time soaking and unwinding that we may now be officially too relaxed to function in the real world. And let’s talk about the best modern touch: their text service. Need an extra towel? A dinner reservation? Perhaps just a kind word of encouragement after too much pasta? A simple text, and boom—problem solved. No awkward phone calls required. The location is another major win. You can practically wave at the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon is a quick stroll away, and Palazzo Venezia is right there—so sightseeing is a breeze (and so is grabbing another scoop of gelato). Bottom line: Six Senses Rome is the place to stay if you want a perfect mix of history, luxury, and “How is this even real?” level hospitality. Would give it six stars if I could!

Everything you would expect from Six Senses - luxury with an understated elegance, fantastic central location, beautiful historic building (which used to be a bank if I understood well), great service, delicious restaurant, very comfortable rooms etc. Unfortunately at that time of the year (late November), we could not enjoy the rooftop bar but it looks amazing (sprawling space, 360 views) and ought to be a "must do" in season. The spa is also very nice with an extensive "Roman baths" experience (multiple baths cold and hot, hammam etc.) which is extremely pleasant (and very much welcome after a whole day of sightseeing and/or shopping!)

We had planned to stay at this hotel but, unfortunately, were robbed just before our trip, forcing us to cancel. While we fully understand that the hotel has a cancellation policy, the way the staff handled our situation was incredibly disappointing. We reached out to explain the circumstances and hoped for some understanding or at least a more sympathetic response. Instead, the hotel staff were incredibly rude, dismissive, and showed no compassion whatsoever for our unfortunate situation. Despite not being able to make it to the hotel at all, we were still charged in full for all three nights. We were already dealing with a stressful situation, and the hotel's lack of empathy only made things worse. Given the way we were treated, we will never consider staying here in the future and strongly advise others to be cautious about the customer service. Compassion and understanding go a long way, and sadly, this hotel demonstrated neither.

Serene, spa like hotel in the middle of crowded, bustling Rome. Service is lovely and helpful, rooms are comfortable and gracious, the roof deck is absolutely stunning with incredible views and the Roman baths are amazing! Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Six Senses hotel in Rome for 3 nights and had the most amazing stay. First - you cannot beat the location of this hotel. Five minutes to the Trevi Fountain, 10 minutes to the Spanish steps and all the shopping area there, no monument seems far from this hotel. In addition to the fact it is next to an ancient church. Second - the rooms are very large and spacious, as is their bathrooms. Having such large rooms in the center of Rome was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Third - they have an amazing rooftop bar. No need to go to other locations - great DJ/music, great views and their host Nouran was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended, and will definitely try and stay here again.

And we loved the rooftop bar so much - what a glorious view! The staff was so kind and friendly - unobtrusive but immediately helpful when anything is needed. We hope very much to return!

The Six Senses is a beautiful calm and stylish oasis in the hectic city of Rome. We very much enjoyed our stay and the peaceful spaces in the hotel. Service was proactive and very friendly. The hotel building exceptionally well renovated with very stylish, considered & contemporary rooms. We found them to be architecturally great but somewhat simple in design. The spa is great and the terrace beautiful. I was surprised that there was no dedicated offering for gluten intolerance on the breakfast buffet - a standard in most luxury hotels. Overall a beautiful hotel - however with room prices that are exceptionally high considering some of the room sizes.

We really enjoy Six Senses and thought we would give this relatively new property a try during our trip to Rome. It definitely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were pampered and well taken-care of - the fantastic team here went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful experience. We were able to enjoy the spa as a way to recover from our long journey - the Roman Baths were stunning! The rooftop bar was beautiful, and breakfast was fantastic. After a long day in the chaos of the city, we appreciated coming back to the serene/peaceful yet luxurious atmosphere at Six Senses.

I surprised my wife with a 6 night stay at the end of our 11 week European holiday. We had been waiting patiently for this hotel to open for some time and were very excited to visit. On arrival our chauffeur vehicle (one way, complimentary) was met at the front entrance by 3 uninformed staff who greeted us and quickly took care of our luggage and escorted us to the lobby. Check in was done on one of the lounges rather than over the counter, which is always a nice touch. Our suite was beautiful and had a huge terrace (we stayed in a Junior Terrace Suite, so to be expected I guess haha). The dining areas, roof top bar area, spa and Roman bath house was all stunningly beautiful. Whilst we didn't have treatments at the spa, the Roman bath experience was a must do and very enjoyable. The communication with the team during the reservation process were fantastic leading up to our stay and they assisted with a couple of personal requests I had very promptly and efficiently. There were a number of negatives during our stay, mainly silly mistakes that we hadn't expected of a hotel of this quality. I did receive an auto email from the 'General Manager' after we departed, asking if we enjoyed our stay and I responded that there were a number of small issues I'd like to relay directly rather than publicly, but 4 months later I have not had a response, so thought I would make mention of them here. On check in, the young lady wanted to charge me the first night's accommodation in full as a deposit, although I had already paid the 6 nights in full prior to my arrival. As it was a surprise, I didn't want my wife to see me paying in front of her. This could have been noted before our arrival. When she escorted us to our room, there was no explanation at all as to how anything worked aside from the telephone. She was about to leave and I had to ask her where our 'terrace' was and she apologised and pulled back some curtains to show us, but was then unsure how to open the doors to the terrace. The day after our arrival, I had to call to request wine glasses for our suite. It seemed strange to me that they would have wine in your mini bar, but nothing to drink the wine from. There was actually no glassware at all in the suite, not even water glasses. The following day the used wine glasses were removed from the room and this time replaced by water glasses? Still nothing to drink wine from though? We booked a wine tasting experience and as we arrived 30 minutes early, waited in the bar area and enjoyed a cocktail. About an hour later I asked when we could expect the wine tasting to start and was informed they thought we weren't coming so had packed up and left. We were sitting there the whole time!! How no one knew who we were, considering we were signing drinks back to our suite, I do not know. I bought a brand new pair of trousers which I wanted to wear to dinner, so I filled out the laundry form in our suite, ticking the 'iron' box. My trousers were returned, with my 'iron' box and price scribbled out, and a new box ticked that said 'wash and iron'. They were brand new. Why edit a guests laundry form without checking first? They subsequently edited our bill to reflect the ironing price. Despite me being very clear at time of booking, not one staff member at any of the food and beverage venues in the hotel knew my wife was gluten intolerant. We had to make mention of it at every meal and drink ordered. Sorry, with the exception of when I called room service. They acknowledged her dietary requirement as soon as I placed our order. We received our room service. I had ordered soup, which was served with knife and fork. No spoon in site. I had to call for a spoon to be sent to our suite. Prior to our arrival, three separate staff from the day spa sent the exact same email three times, introducing themselves and their services. Better communication perhaps. On the day of our departure, we received a knock on the door 30 minutes prior to our agreed checkout from the gardener asking if he could come to our terrace to perform his duties. You'd think a little communication between departments would have had him sitting tight until we had finished packing and departed. Despite the above, we could not fault the friendliness of the whole team thoughout the duration of our stay. We were empathetic that it was a new hotel that had only been open approximately 7 months prior to our stay. Many of the team seemed new to the industry or if they had experience, hadn't come from 5 star hotels prior to their position at Six Senses Rome. That said, the above are silly mistakes that should not happen in a hotel of this calibre and price point. The purpose of me wanting to share the above direct with the GM was so it could be shared with her department heads so they could be aware of areas of improvement. Despite the above, we had a fantastic stay and magical end to our European summer adventure. A year in, hopefully the small 'teething problems' are no more.

I am a frequent traveler and I have been to many incredible hotels around the world. Recently I stayed 4 nights at Six Senses Rome. Man! What. A. Hotel. The amazingly friendly and helpful staff, the fascinating service, the beautiful interior design and decoration, the brilliant facilities… and the list goes on. If you travel to Rome, and you can afford Six Senses - don’t think twice. Special thanks to Camilla who made our stay beyond special. She is by far one of the best front office executives I have ever met! Marco from concierge was very helpful - plus the heroes Diego and Michele who will do the impossible to make you enjoy your trip!

My wife and I stayed here briefly before departing from Rome. The property is nice and the staff are friendly, but I would not consider it particularly luxurious and for the price it is not recommended. The property itself is in a noisy/busy part of the city and the part we stayed in was next to a noisy street with partying British tourists and the hotel staff taking smoke breaks and gossiping loudly. I would probably enjoy staying here if I lived nearby and wanted a night in the city with some fun spa amenities or if you stayed at a different property and just visited for the spa that might be a good move. If you are looking for a quiet/relaxing "home base" while you explore Rome on a longer trip, I would look elsewhere. Pro tip: if you do stay and want to get spa services or visit the rooftop restaurant I would recommend booking far in advance. They don't seem to reserve blocks for hotel guests so you might be out of luck by the time you go to book.

From the gracious, warm welcome at check-in to the friendly servers at the cafe to the doormen, housekeeping, and spa staff - every single member of the team was tremendous. This hotel is a respite from the crowds and noise of Rome. The location is so close to the sites. And then the hotel is the perfect place to be when you need to a break. It is very comfortable and relaxing. The design is thoughtful and calming. Lots of plants. So many different ways to sit and be comfortable. And the Roman Baths are amazing! My wife and I felt incredible well taken care of the entire stay and it was the best place to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. This is a very special place. The tasting menu at the roof top bar was a very nice experience and view. Davide was a very attentive server and the food chef Valerio put out was stunning. The team and GM have been so welcoming throughout our stay. Turn down service was also nice!!!

Bad food and poor choice, slow and unfriendly service, opposite high floor rooms there is a rooftop bar with loud music, cleaning done irregularly and finally expect smell from rooftop restaurant kitchen in your bathroom if you are staying on a high floor. These problems are most likely the result that Six Senses franchises the brand and so quality can vary dramatically from hotel to hotel.

Too bad we booked the spa too late and didn’t manage to secure a slot. Breakfast - we love the buffet selection. The made to order hot food selection was generous although not particularly impressive. We enjoyed our stay overall.
