Rustic, clean and convenient but in need of some urgent maintenance and updating

Broken switches, tv remotes taped up with sticky tape, and bedroom tvs that don’t work simply does not cut it for $495/ night. Wifi is also based around one connection emanating from the office. There needs to be a dedicated modem in each unit. This is relative inexpensive .

This is the just of an email I sent to the owner, Jason Gilseth, 3 days ago fter our stay 7/17/24 to 7/19/24. So far, no response:
Hi Jason,
I do not believe your "house" is worth $495 a night for your “best” cabin available. I thought I was getting a truly wonderful & luxurious experience in your rustic cabin. Your house is more like very Outdated Rustic cabin. I am VERY disappointed. These are my reasons:
1. We did not have the designated WiFi connection on Day 1.
2. The fan in the bathroom is very loud, maybe a bearing issue. (Video/audio available)
3. The bathroom shower/tub was great in 1990's when it was probably installed, but the gold plating is tarnished and the sliding shower doors are difficult/heavy to move. (Photos attached)
4. As there is no A/C, there are also no floor fans to mitigate the warm temperatures in the great room or 2nd bedroom.
5. There is a dedicated room for a washer/dryer, but no washer/dryer (again paying $495 a night ala an Airbnb)
6. A general lack of 2024 electronic connections/outlets. The floor outlet on one bedroom doesn't work. Also, the floor outlet by the dining table only works if I shim my plug-in to stand upright.
7. No are wine glasses in the kitchen, nor opener.
8. There were only 3 hangers in the 2nd bedroom on a rack that is very high, against a wall that needs painting.
9. Each of the dated mini blinds are very difficult to move downward - as to block the sunshine in the warm months. (The sunroom was lovely but very warm and thus useless.)
10. The dining room chairs' upholstery are dated & full of small holes. (Photo attached)
11. The porch entryway needs painting. (Photos attached)
12. My wife emptied the dishwasher - WHY.
Again, if I was spending $200 a night, these grievances might be 1/2-way understood. At $495 a night, I and anyone else should expect much better accommodations and care.

Was just ok. Wouldn't stay here again.
Cute cabin that needs some attention to detail. About 6 slates on the plastic blinds were broken off on the front so people could see right in. Hand towel hanging on rack when we arrived looked liked it had already been used. Lots of dust, coin and nuts under the...
Cute cabin that needs some attention to detail. About 6 slates on the plastic blinds were broken off on the front so people could see right in. Hand towel hanging on rack when we arrived looked liked it had already been used. Lots of dust, coin and nuts under the bed. Overhead light and light over the bed did not work. Stains on chair cushions and pillows were horrible. No WiFi. Bathroom was fairly clean and the water had good pressure and was hot. Lady in the office was very pleasant and informative. For a total of 430.00 for two nights was expecting it to be cleaner and things in working order. Best part was that it was close to Glacier.

I am disappointed in how extraordinarily unprofessional this place is. When we arrived during check in/office hours, there was no one present. We also did not have a cabin assignment as said would be available for late check in via the email sent a week prior. We had to call the number on the door multiple times before getting an answer only to have the person who answered be surprised the office was empty and then ask us to hold before hanging up. After 20 minutes with no response we received a call telling us which cabin was ours. Once getting to the cabin no keys were present and 2 of the 5 lights (including the primary overhead light) were nonfunctional. After calling back, we were told that someone would be there in 45 minutes. About an hour later we finally got our keys and mentioned the lights which we were told would be fixed the following day. After staying here 3 nights, the lights have never once been addressed and we never received any contact from anyone about the status of the lights. I would highly recommend spending your money elsewhere.

First off, these cabins are beautiful. We stayed in cabin 1 (pictured in the advertisement). All wood log cabins with comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out. Your cabin is made up every day and the continental breakfast delivery daily is very nice and accommodating. The people are friendly as well. Unfortunately they are handcuffed by their location. Sandwiched between a major road to the west side of Glacier National Park and a highly used train track system, it stays quite loud most days and nights. Even being a heavy sleeper, the late night trains had a tendency to wake us up because without air-conditioning, we had the windows up and could hear the train whistles most of the night.
We had to leave early due to a family emergency. I have emailed them three times to possibly see if the one remaining night could be refunded, but they have failed to respond to any of my emails which is a bit frustrating.

Update to my previous review: we never received a refund for our cancelled reservations. All we got was a sob story from the owner of how he makes his money and cancellations hurt his business. He never contacted us to say if our cancelled room had been filled or any other information. So, in short, we were conned out of money. As I said in my previous review..be warned with this place.

Quiet, clean and spacious log cabins. 6 miles from the West entrance. Donna was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations.
Would definitely stay here again!

Andy, Donna & Donna were great! The cabins are fantastic & I could have stayed forever. Sleeping with the windows open was wonderful! Provided a small fridge, microwave, muffins, fresh fruit, cold cereal, coffee maker with coffee, tea bags, small bottle of OJ & also milk. WiFi weak but can live without it! Can go closer to office & it’s good if needed. Satellite TV does not have a news channel but that can be a good thing. The setting is beautiful but is close to the highway so there is some traffic noise but in the evening it pretty much stops after 9. Overall a very nice stay just too short!

Everything one needs is there for you. Shower was nice. Each cabin includes a nice Gas Log fireplace for heat. (Big plus as we attempted a wooden stove for heat for a Glamping Under Canvas experience- Brutal). Cabins were well priced at just under $200 a night as Glamping Tents were @ $400-$500. We have travelled the world and have stayed in budget hotels, luxury hotels, and now Tents and Cabins. I have to say these cabins were the best place we have stayed and the price was right!

Plenty big enough for 2 people. Front desk staff helpful and very freindly. Adequate parking. Clise to major road. A few good restaurants and rafting services in the area. Decent basic breakfast brought to room.
Disliked · TRAINS!!! ABOUT 10-12 trains and train whistles every night. Train is 2 blocks away and VERY BUSY in the nights coming through mountains. DO NOT book if you value sleep. Incredibly small TVs, that lost picture often. Also hosekeeping was terrible, never dusted tables, never cleaned sink, never swept floors. Tons of spider webs in windows. Covers were old, stained, dirty...as well as ratted and torn. Front porch railing rotted and falling apart. Last day they didn't even make our bed or bring towels. Management needs to put a better foot forward, as cleanliness and house keeping on top of the loud trains made a below average experience.....so much worse. They need to get new covers, clean out windows of spiders, fix railing, and get bigger TVs; all things that would be relatively easy fixes. Superivising hosekeeping is also needed.
