So I just spent 8 nights in this hotel, the staff were fantastic, the location is great but our room was not brilliant. It was clean and tidy however we were put in a room with not one but two adjoining doors to the rooms in either side of us. The issue is that there is zero noise insulation and as such I was woken every morning by people coughing, blowing their noses and other noises we don’t want to talk about. Unfortunately this was not a one or two morning issue, it happened every morning. Going to sleep was a similar experience with people talking, yelling and again other noises that we shall not talk about. To top it off our room opened not the elevator landing so we got to hear everyone leaving or coming back from the days activity. I would not avoid the hotel however if you get one of these rooms I would strongly recommend that you see if it could be changed.

Had a great trip ! We stayed on the 21 floor. Lorna cleaned our room and always remembered what type of tea we liked and also gave me some extra books to read. She really made a difference, very friendly. Thanks! The pool and area was great. The pool guys quickly cleaned up the chairs that people had dropped towels on the chairs to save while they go to the beach for hours. That was really a small but good thing. As the people that wanted to enjoy the pool had a great choice of chairs. We always had a chair to choose from. The hotel is very centrally located. Beside international Marketplace and across from the beach. The staff were very friendly. 10 out of 10. We will come back and stay here at the Princess Kaiulani. Only negative , Pool drinks were pricy.

Very nice hotel although some rooms are a bit dated. Some of the tower rooms have been renovated but not the one I stayed in. It was still a nice comfortable room, The lobby and pool are also very nice as I am a big fan of the open air lobbies for hotels in this kind of destination. Thought the food prices for the lobby/[poolside restaurant was a bit on the pricy side, especially considering all the options for eating just around the corner. I would stay here again, hopefully next time in a tower renovated room.

Having avoided staying here for many years, we decided to follow advice from flight attendents who stay here. We have stayed at all the Marriott properties in Waikiki and now we know we missed out by not staying here. When we checked in, our interaction with Celeste confirmed we had not made a mistake. She was the perfect representative for the hotel and Marriott. Our room and view in Ainahau tower was amazing. The staff throughout the hotel could not have been nicer. The music in lounge and pool area was just right. We look forward to many return stays at this property.

I completed the Medallia review but forgot to shout out two associates who had great spirit of aloha, Celeste at the Front Desk, Ashley at Splash Bar, Lorna the Housekeeper, and there was a Bellman on Saturday evening that helped us take our towels back to the towel hut after we came back from the north shore. I didn't get a chance to catch his name. Thankful for their great customer service!

Lovely hotel and perfect location. We were in the new renovated Ahani (sic) tower. The room had all we needed. Nice size frig. 3 elevators working and only 1 time we waited for more 4 min. All staff is amazing. Lance at Splash Bar breakfast is Thee Man. Other than breakfast which was included with our package the other meal at the hotel and app and drink the first night. FYI the included breakfast was not a buffet. Service was awesome. Pool was a nice size and not crowded. Great location. ABC store nearby as well as Target. Plenty of great restaurants as well. We would stay here again.

Arriving from Australia, the plane arrives very early in the morning, and so we were so incredibly grateful upon arriving at the hotel around 8.30 am that they had a room already available to us (it helps to be a platinum member of course). The check in clerk was so nice and check in process was so fast. Our room was lovely (the next tower over from the check in has much better rooms than the main tower above the lobby), so would definitely recommend trying to get a room in that tower. Pool was kept immaculate, also wonderful communal areas to play table tennis, or table hockey or just sit and relax. Have been to Hawaii 12 times now and never stayed at this particular Marriott and now its one of my absolute favourites. Great location even if off the beach but our room had beach views.

Had a great , relaxing experience at the Sheraton Kaiulani! To start my boyfriend and my trip off, Erin was so kind to have found for a suitable upgrade for us. It's been a tough few weeks, so it really meant a lot. We sadly were not able to take advantage of what else the hotel had to offer, but we are thankful for the amazing hospitality we received in the short trip before our big one. Will be coming back to experience more!

This hotel is perfect in relation to Waikiki beach. Walking distance is so close to the beach, stores, restaurants and the international market, the hotel is incredibly clean, the staff is amazing always polite and friendly at every point of service. Everything about this hotel is perfect. Except the elevators in the tower. Steer away from staying on that side. The elevators take forever to either go up or down because they aren’t working and apparently been being “worked on” for months and because of this everyone will climb into the same one to get to the level they are going to and it can be quite claustrophobic (I’m not exaggerating). We probably lost half a day waiting for it to come either up stairs or down in the week we were there. Otherwise, amazing hotel and people

We had high hope for the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The new renovated rooms that we saw on Marriott.com really caught our attention, and so 6 months prior to arrival, we booked a high floor, ocean view king room in the Ainahau tower. We arrived and were assigned a room on the 22nd floor (out of 29 floors). Ok, maybe this is a higher floor. We were both so excited to see the views that we saw on line, but instead our room looked out over a building that is under construction and the Hyatt across the street. Could we see the ocean, sure, but this was not a full ocean view. Front desk said they were sorry.... During our stay the elevators in the Ainahau tower were hit and miss (mostly miss). Some days they even had signs up inviting guests to use the service elevators. Not something you would expect from a Sheraton. The room renovations looked nice at first, but when you looked very closely, a lot of items had been missed. Do not expect good wifi in the room. The front desk agent told us that they have complaints all the time. Day 8 of our 12 night stay, we were kept up all night by the door lock making a "beeping" sound every 15 seconds. We spoke to the desk, who offered us a free drink and took our resort fee off for 2 nights. That afternoon all the door locks on our floor started "beeping". The front desk offered us to move rooms but since we had been in the room for 8 nights, we did not want to pack up and move. So they offered us a $100 dinner credit. At checkout, I mentioned that this might have been the worst hotel stay I have had in a long time (I stay in hotels about 90 nights a year), and we would most likely not come back. That was met with total indifference. One tip - you can rent beach chairs from the pool.

This was our annual visit to the Princess Kaiulani. On this visit we stayed 2 and a half weeks. I had a king room booked in the tower but it was not available and we started our stay in the Princess wing on the 9th floor with a nice view of the ocean. These rooms are dated and you can see the rust in the sink and tub. We moved to the tower after 4 days to the 14th floor of the tower with a very nice view of diamond head and the ocean. The refurbished king rooms are comfortable except the walls are paper thin and you can hear every sound from adjoining rooms. The great staff, service and location are the reasons we returned year after year. We have been coming to this hotel for at least 20 years. But in the last 5 years we have gotten to know many special staff members Floyd is one of the dedicated and hard working members we have gotten to know. He was at the pool but recently transferred to the bell desk. He always greets us and always goes beyond his duties to make our stay memorable. Extremely hard worker. We want to acknowledge Rocky and Eric at the splash bar, for their outstanding customer service. We also want to acknowledge Rebecca, Winnie, Julie and all the evening staff at the bar. Colleen at breakfast at the restaurant was always kind and offered great service We have known Carlos at the pool for many years now, he is wonderful. He goes out of his way to help everybody and is the best. As a titanium member the continental breakfast should be a full breakfast as other Marriotts offer. For example in Malaysia, Korea, Japan we get full buffets plus complete cocktail and evening entrees.
