We had a late transfer to airport and it was great that we could leave our suitcases at concierge desk for no extra cost and check out wasn’t till 12pm which was fab!

Everything within walking distance. To improve: - rooms are getting on in years. Nothing for carpet lovers. Are there any initial renovation plans? - It would be even better to arrive at the hotel with a welcome drink. We know this from many top Asian hotels and would be the icing on the cake.

The hotel was lovely I had a massage with Sharifa at the spa and it was the most amazing aromatherapy massage ever! I felt so relaxed. Sharifa was such a good massage therapist - attentive and such amazing hands! The hotel was beautiful - central and close to all amenities.

Went to the Spa, the facilities are really nice especially the jacuzzi. We managed to squeeze in time for Spa. The ambiance, music, and oil are all on point. The Spa Therapist, Aliah gave a really good massage. She was attentive and polite. Thank you for the excellent service.

Great location only 10 minutes walk to Petronas Towers/KLCC. Very spacious rooms, that had good facilities and was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast in the main restaurant and the poolside area was lovely to relax after busy sightseeing . Nice lobby area as well.

The positives like with most Shangri La hotels is the excellent customer service so a special thank you to Shafiq in the Club Lounge and to chef Marcus from the Club Lounge. The chef prepared specific food for my wife who is gluten free which was really appreciated. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was because of the Lemon Garden restaurant which we felt had crammed far too many tables in so was very congested. Food was fine but just felt canteen like due to tables being so close together. Not a major thing but noticeable if you have seen the standards at other Shangri La hotels.

The real difference however that makes this hotel stand out, is the exemplary courteous, friendly and efficient manner of every single member of staff we interacted with from check-in to check-out. I feel I must pass on our congratulations to the whole team at the hotel for a truly memorable visit. Thank you all!

Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. We also had the dinner buffet which was lovely. The hotel does look dated but I think the decor is how it should be ! The pool is spacious and there are plenty of sunbeds. The gardens are well tended . Free gym and spa (treatments obviously extra). I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

I had to go to the hospital late at night and the Duty Manager, Kai Chyi, took absolute care of me and even asked one of the employees to go with us to make sure we got proper care. He was great, unfortunately, I didn’t get his name. He stayed with us until we got registered with the hospital. Everything turned out well. Went back to the hotel where we were greeted by Kai and the other employee and asked I how I was doing. She also said to call anytime for anything. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel and very serene in such a bustling area. Only a short walk - if you can tolerate the heat - to the markets and as we discovered on our last night, a 15 minute walk to a great area with fantastic bars and restaurants on Changkat Bukit Bintang.

The most amazing massage by Yanna! She focused on all the right points with the perfect pressure to get out all the knots leaving me feeling so much lighter. The service was overall incredible and I had a very comfortable experience!

Came back again for the massage. Ms Junah & Ms Yanna provided very good massage experience. Like it very much! Will try their sauna next time.

From the first moment we walked into the hotel we felt truly welcomed by all the staff. The hotel itself is centrally located and has extensive facilities including a variety of dining options. We stayed in the Horizon Club part of the hotel which gave us access to the lounge which provided free food and drink for most of the day, all excellent. When the staff found out that it was our anniversary I was given, at various times of the day, a gift wrapped rose, a cake with a lit candle in it, our bed strewn with rose petals with a towel made swan and - to cap it all off - a HUGE bouquet of flowers. All in all, it was the best hotel stay we have ever had anywhere

We were in KL for 2 weeks and had nit initially intended to stay at the Shangri La however, our first hotel proved to be below expectations so we checked out and came here. So glad we did. Both hotels are similarly rated but the Shangri La runs rings around the other. We booked a King Horizon club room which is big, well appointed with L'Occitane bathroom supplies and a very comfortable bed. The Horizon Club was really nice with a very good drinks menu and bar and canapes, breakfast there was delicious and afternoon put on an excellent spread. All the staff were wonderful but a special mention must go to Syakir whose gentle friendly manner and gorgeous smile was a joy to be greeted with each afternoon . Thank you Syakir your service was 100%! The pool area is very nice and well maintained , lifeguards were always on duty and very friendly but the pool is not big and did get a bit crowded with children at times. There is an adults only seating area which was a nice touch. All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to KL. It is in a great location and the service is fantastic.

It had been ages since our last visit to the Shangri-La KL, so when we found ourselves in KL again, it felt only right to revisit an old favourite for a 2 night stay. The location is superb, turn left & hop on the Bukit Nanas monorail, & in just two stops you’re at Pavilion Mall, Lot 10, or Starhill Gallery. Or take a 10-minute stroll to Dang Wangi underground station, where one quick stop gets you to KLCC. Public transport is easy, but honestly, with Grab rides being so cheap & convenient, it’s tempting to skip the train and glide straight to your destination in air-conditioned comfort. Shangri-La KL may not be the newest kid on the block, but it wears its age with grace. The moment you walk into the high-ceilinged lobby, you’re greeted by a lush tropical garden framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, complete with water features that instantly make you forget you’re in the middle of the city. Fresh orchids in a rainbow of colours are everywhere in the lobby, public areas, even in our suite. It’s the kind of “urban jungle” where you don’t mind getting lost. Thanks to my loyalty status, we were upgraded to a spacious Premier Suite with Horizon Club access which, in plain English, means bigger views, more orchids, & an endless supply of afternoon tea & evening cocktails. The Horizon Club staff were so warm & attentive that I half-expected them to tuck me into bed at night (they didn’t, but the service was close!). Breakfast at Lemon Garden was a treat, a generous spread of Western classics & Malaysian specialties that would make any foodie’s heart flutter. The gym was excellent, the sauna & spa delightful… & then there’s the pool. Let’s just say it’s got that retro 80s vibe, charming if you’re nostalgic, slightly underwhelming if you’re looking for a “wow” factor. But with everything else being so good, it’s a forgivable quirk. Overall, our stay was memorable, relaxing & filled with thoughtful touches from staff who clearly take pride in their work. Shangri-La KL remains an old-world gem in the heart of the city, & we left feeling thoroughly pampered.

Despite being a global renowned brand in the hotel industry Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur doesn't deserve to be called a 5 star hotel. As the room that is given to me is not properly maintain and managers at shift doesn't really cared about follow-up. Stay 2 nights at there and wasn't feel welcome at all. Problem with Shangri-La I observed so far is 1. Bad attitude from staff, 2. Inconsistent of water temperature 3. Poor maintainance of room equipment 4. Lack of customer service experience 5. Have different treatment towards different guest 1st night the shower area was choked and called the maintainance and they remove a chuck of hair from the floor trap that caused the water ponding. During the 2nd night my room was not makeup reason given was the DO NOT DISTURB light was on throughout the entire day and when I came back the room was not makeup and I did mention to the duty manager that I did switch it off when I when out of my room for breakfast and have no clue why the sign was on. Anyway the did makeup the room. But to matter worse the shower area got choke again and the duty manager offered to change a room but I rejected due to it was already pass midnight and going to 1am. I requested to speak to a manager regarding the matters that happen at 10.00am the next day morning and no one called me to followup on the issue. When checking out of the hotel the staff at the hotel wanted to charge me a tourism tax when the booking is being made under my wife's name who is a citizen. And reason given was the 2nd guest checking in is a foreigner. But I told the duty manager that Shangri-La Tanjung Aru in Sabah don't even charge me this tourism tax and other hotel also never charge me this tax when the booking is done under my wife's name. It seems like they are practicing a different SOP and the staff is damm very rude and impolite. The only good thing about the hotel is their buffet breakfast. It seems to me Shangri-La is really fallen behind in terms of standard and quality As so far the experience that was given to me by both Shangri-La hotel stay is terrible.

An absolutely wonderful hotel! Our very comfortable large room had a great view, especially when we realized we could see part of the Petronas Towers. The breakfast and evening buffets had an extensive choice of very tasty Asian and Western food. The lounge was inviting, with a very attractive view of the water and vegetation through the windows over the width and hight of the room, and we particularly enjoyed relaxing there late in the evening with the delicious finger sandwiches and tomato soup. But what really made our stay was the staff. They were without exception charming, friendly and helpful. This was particularly noticeable when I told them I had left my mobile phone on the coach from Singapore. The concierge Fazrul went out of his way to find it, making countless telephone calls and remaining insistent even after he was informed that the phone was not on the coach. Suddenly he leant towards me with a big smile, told his boss he had to go away for 30 minutes and rushed off, returning less than 30 minutes later with another big smile and my mobile in his hand! He and the Assistant Manager Keltu seemed to be as delighted as I was at his success, and that seems to me to show how important the wellbeing of the customers is to the staff of the Shangri La. Thank you for making our stay in Kuala Lumpur so memorable.

What a great visit. We enjoyed it from start to finish with the Shangri La being the perfect host to a wonderful city. The highlight for us at the hotel was the Horizon Lounge and would recommend seeking a room rate to include this. The breakfast in there was a high quality and far calmer than the buffet downstairs. We were offered a wide selection of fruit, cold meats and fish as well as an international a la carte option. In the afternoon canapes and drinks are furnished which were a great way to start the evening. The staff working there always made us feel welcome and catered superbly to my wife's coeliac disease often cooking items fresh. Indeed, we felt very comfortable in all the hotel restaurants with Arthur's and Zipangu being our respective favourites. The hotel is gleaming, a full credit to their cleaners and our room was similarly well cleaned, we believe by Robby and Duffy. My wife used the spa, and we would recommend all Chi Spas, but again the massage offered here by Diana was superb. Most sights are 10-30 mins walk away but if you prefer a taxi in the heat Grab is very cheap and easy.
