Over ten years later, we came back to the Hotel Georgia for a night. We stayed on an AMEX FHR rate which included a $100 property credit, complimentary breakfast, and a room upgrade. Let's start with the good - the lobby bartenders are some of the best I have encountered. Great conversation, excellent drinks, and we got a very good vibe from sitting there. The room was very clean, well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The turndown service was appreciated and we both liked having a proper Nespresso machine in the room. Despite facing the street and being on a lower floor, noise was not an issue. Front desk staff, just like last time, was very professional and aimed to please. Luckily, the not-so-great was mostly small things. We are now two for two on problems with the reservation while staying here. They had charged us the nightly rate despite having prepaid for the room through American Express. Last time it was an incorrect departure date. This was corrected quickly although it makes me wonder why this is a recurring problem here. Breakfast took over an hour from sitting down to getting the check, which felt too long to me. The front desk wasn't able to break a $20 bill, which I wanted to do to tip the valet, bell staff, and housekeeping staff. Nobody carries cash anymore so for tipping I'm reliant on hotels being able to break larger bills from ATMs I visit while traveling. I guess I ended up being a very generous tipper on this trip. Overall, a very nice stay at Hotel Georgia. I would stay here again.

I will admit I had high expectations coming into the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. All of these were exceeded. Don't think about booking anywhere else - this is the place to be. Beautiful historic building which isn't stuffy - wonderful recent renovation carefully adding a tasteful update to rooms etc. Great bar/lounge area (but popular so be aware if you want to get a table - probably best to book if you can - otherwise possibly a short wait). Great spa - wonderful massage by both myself and my partner whilst we stayed over the post Christmas period Service is probably the key thing here though - everything requested was done promptly - great housekeeping staff. We had a bunch of great hotels on our recent visit to Canada - but this one is going to remain in the memory a long time - and when we visit Vancouver again, will be our first stop!

The Rosewood is simply superb! The premier room we stayed in had a magnificent view of the art gallery and city. The room had many great details with superb amenities. The staff was very friendly, including the woman Sandra who ensured our room was perfect. Great location as well. We have stayed at every 5 star hotel in Vancouver and the airport and this odd now at the top of our favorites! One small issue I had called the front desk on two occasions and no one answered after 10 rings.

Loved this place, and great location for walking to shops and restaurants. The service at the desk was impeccable. Polite, efficient and friendly. And we loved our room. The Hawkseye restaurant downstairs had the best happy hour, lively and fun.

Our 4 night experience at this hotel was top notch in every way. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge and extremely comfortable. Having a half bath as well as the “spa like” main bathroom was very convenient. The room staff serviced our room beautifully, with turn down service every night that included cookies. Every staff member we encountered gave us extraordinary service. The breakfast in the 1927 longe was delicious and situated in a cozy environment. It is so easy to have breakfast at the hotel before a day of sightseeing. Our server Misa was outstanding. Two evenings, we had cocktails and bar bites in the lobby area. The food was great and there was a piano player singing. We enjoyed the music immensely. Christine who waited on us on a very busy Saturday night was also outstanding. She kept checking on us and anticipated our every need. I understand there is music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. We used the well equipped gym twice and Meet was so kind and friendly in helping us with the lockers and the pool area. Our valet/luggage attendant, Robert, remembered us from last year when we stayed for one night before our cruise. This exceptional young man was so attentive to our needs. He went out of his way to help us find a lost pair of sunglasses. This is the only hotel we would stay at in Vancouver. Loved every moment!

A pleasant step back to the grandeur of the roaring twenties is abundant at the hotel. The character of this era is well maintained throughout the hotel and extends into the rooms which are spacious & comfy. We liked vibrant downtown location with the Vancouver Art Gallery and entertainment square directly opposite. Easy access literally a short walk to shopping in Robson St, or the underground Pacific Shopping Centre. Also a short walk to all the happenings in Gastown and direct access to the Seawall water walk from Canada Place, through to Coal Harbour and onto Stanley Park. Our room had a comfy king bed, Massive bathroom with a big bath, separate shower stall & WC with doors that could close off from the bedroom & small lounge area. Also enjoyed the Georgia Bar, and Bel Cafe which is not a Rosewood cafe, but is located in-house and was a good place to grab coffee & pastries in the morning. The hotel had a great gym & indoor pool! The Concierge was great assisting us to secure a dinner at Cardero's restaurant in Coal Harbour, which was proving nearly impossible to get into. Sincere, warm friendly and dedicated staff made the stay even better.

Contemporary finishes, polished service, beautiful interior design. What's not to love? The spa pool is a cherry on the top. Maybe a tiny bit soul-less due to just how perfect everything is, but you're too busy lounging in a bathrobe on a puff of cloud to notice.

Really a very mediocre experience end to end. First room they offered was an “upgraded” one bedroom suite, interior facing. Dark and dreary overlooking an interior courtyard—about 1/3 of all rooms in the hotel are this way. When we request a downgrade with some natural light, we were told the room would be ready at 1 pm. We didn’t check into our room until 4 pm despite assurances that it was almost ready. Have a seat in the bar and drink on us, they said. The hotel bar is tiny was full and no service. At breakfast it was even worse. The restaurant is understaffed and despite multiple open tables we waited 15 minutes for a table, sat down at the unwiped bar, waited another 15 minutes for coffee. When the breakfast arrive—benedict and the Georgian breakfast—we sent it back. Orange juice arrived 5-10 minutes after the meal is set back. Hotel George has a storied history in Vancouver, but the modern day experience does not match the reputation. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but the guest experience is not up to par with Pan Pacific, Fairmont Pacific Rim, or Paradox. Recommend staying at the latter hotels.
