The quality of this hotel is what we would all love to have all of the time. Rooms are spacious and superbly equipped. Staffing levels are high and of good quality. Breakfast, which can be taken in the garden, is wonderful. Downside? - the price!
Good location and comfortable room but overall experience didn't quite hit the mark

We treated ourselves to a one night stay at Palacio Duhau to mark the last day of our Argentina trip. The hotel is large, grand and impressively styled although we found the atmosphere quite impersonal and 'corporate'. Having said that, our room was super comfortable and very well appointed; we couldn't fault it.
We participated in a wine and cheese tasting, which was a great experience to round off our trip; the two members of staff who ran the event (Luciano and Mariana) were very engaging and provided an excellent service. Breakfast was also delicious; there was a great selection and both the food and service were of very high quality.
The location of the hotel was good but unfortunately there were constant thunderstorms while we were there so we didn't get to enjoy any of the outdoor areas or much of the neighbourhood.
The bad weather was, however, a great opportunity to use the hotel's spa, but we found it a little disappointing. Yes, the swimming pool is large and has loungers alongside but it's quite odd that the spa area is completely separate from the swimming pool area (cue walking through reception in your wet swimming costume/robe to get to the spa/changing room) and that the (separate male/female) spa areas are so small (no relaxation space). We would have expected a bit more from a spa in this category of hotel and this detracted from our experience somewhat.
On the whole, we enjoyed our short stay at this property, but wouldn't be inclined to return.

We loved our stay that the Palacio Durhau. The hotel is stunning though I recommend staying in the old part of the hotel. With multiple restaurants there are lots of options. And the spa is lovely! The staff couldn’t have been sweeter and even took note of my husbands birthday!

My wife and I chose this hotel for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a great experience at this majestic hotel in a great location that is within walking distance from nice restaurants, boutique shops and attractions. What I am most impressed is not just the cleanness and amenities that I would not normally be looking for, but the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. They even booked steakhouses that would be impossible for me to book within such a short period of time. We did not have a chance to use lunch and dinner at Park Hyatt, but the breakfast was nothing but Michelin star quality. It was the most enjoyable stay for me and my wife. If there is anything they can improve is that the toilet flush was a bit too loud. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

It should have been better!
We booked in Aug 2024 for a 3 night stay pre-cruise in Jan 2025, followed by a one night post-cruise stay.
The hotel confirmed our reservation the day before arrival by email.
However, we didn’t get the room we booked!
We had booked the king room in the palace with a balcony. We were upgraded to a suite without being told of any changes upon check-in. Sounds good? No!
The staff were very apologetic but ultimately, the room we had booked wasn’t available because it had been resold to somebody booking a “high grade suite” (the presidential suite) which neighbours & can be annexed to the room we’d booked.
We wanted the balcony to enjoy the outside & have views of the gardens in private. The suite we were given was large, but quite sterile & had no balcony. It had a garden view but the view was mostly obscured by the large tree outside. It felt like an “emergency room” kept to one side to pacify disappointed guests. No other compensation for our disappointment was offered. We were asked what could be done but nothing was specifically offered. The hotel seemed to think the “upgrade” was sufficient compensation.
The staff were very apologetic. The butler team picked up the mess from reservations & were very pleasant, but ultimately powerless to fix the problem. We were told there were no other rooms or suites available in the palace building.
We booked specifically what we wanted. The hotel didn’t deliver as promised, despite their confirmation the day before arrival. If we had wanted a suite, we would have booked a suite. Giving us an “upgrade” to something which didn’t deliver that which we specifically wanted & booked was very, very disappointing.
Upon returning from our cruise, the king room with balcony was available (to the sighs of relief of the staff!) & it was exactly what we wanted, except for the shards of glass on the floor, which my wife cut her foot on. It wasn’t a big injury, but one that simply shouldn’t occur due to poor housekeeping.
The good bits:
The old palace building is very elegant & perfectly located.
Service from the butler team was wonderful, thanks to Lucia, Andrea & Denis. Thanks for the tea & sympathy!
Food was generally excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good, the a la carte breakfast on the terrace was quieter & more genteel.
The bed linen, as others have mentioned, really was superb.
The bad bits:
Not delivering promises.
Afternoon tea is corrupted by “influencers” only there for their pictures. Service at the afternoon tea, presumably due to numbers, was disjointed & below par.
We booked an airport transfer with the hotel, EZE to the hotel for $120. The car they sent was no bigger or better than the small Uber we used to return to EZE for $20.
If you’re going to charge high rates for exclusivity, luxury & privacy, you’re obliged & should deliver it.
Our stays were pleasant but, ultimately, should have been better.

My wife and I both agree that the Park Hyatt is the nicest large hotel with the best service that we have experienced anywhere in the world. The check-in service was perfect and efficient. Our garden view room was spacious and beautiful. The Oak Bar is a classic! Dinner in the Argentina Restaurant outside on the patio was memorable. We had a late flight back to the US so we were able to use the spa to change clothes and freshen up after a long day of touristing. And the bellman that helped get our bags out of storage and to the cab was an exemplary employee, even though he had only worked there 2 months. He made me feel like his friend. The management of the hotel must be superlative, because EVERY employee treats you like an honored guest.
