Unfortunately, I booked this Hotel through Priceline and due to the hotel’s lack of respect for Priceline customers. my husband and I paid 300.00 for the night and was kicked out of the hotel without being able to shower or wash up because THEIR boiler broke. Unacceptable and disrespectful. They claimed they couldn't do anything to compensate us because we booked through Priceline. Sadly Pricline thought 56.00 would compensate us for not being able to clean our bodies in 300 room. (like we were less than animals) We were not able to go to a Ball because we weren't able to shower. The reason folks go to hotels instead of sleeping on the street is to sleep and shower at the very least. 300 no shower not able is wash up..

I spent my 82nd birthday at the Omni Royal Orleans and it couldn't be been better.
My wife and I booked a balcony room and so were perched high above Royal Street for the early days of Mardi Gras. The people watching was fantastic.
There were many features in this hotel that we liked but the best by far was the staff. We have never stayed in a hotel where EVERY employee looked us in the eye and greeted us. This means everyone from the managers to the cleaning and maintenance staff and everyone in between. We loved this, as it made us feel at home at welcome every day.
I did not get every name but a special thank you would go to Queen, in the Rib Room.who was especially kind and helpful. I would certainly say this even if she hadn't brought me the most delicious chocolate treat for m birthday.
The Rib Room had delicious food but again, it was the staff. Alan, Ellica, and Onur are names I recall. All were friendly and attentive but not hovering. Terry in Morsels was particularly helpful and always fun to see. I thought I would remember the super helpful desk staff member's name. I'm not sure but possibly Clarissa (?).
I would also give a special shout out to Chris Cat, the concierge who helped us with finding the special Mardi Gras Indian Museum (Backstreet Cultural Museum) and carriage rides. He even threw in some beads!
The hotel has a feature that allowed us to opt out of unnecessary housecleaning and so we didn't have daily service but were able to get the things that we needed every day (coffee, cream) and occasionally (tissues, t-paper). We liked this feature quite a lot.
Over all, this was a great week. The hotel is obviously close to many of the unique features of New Orleans: Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and the Mississippi River. Royal Street is known for it's high quality street musicians, art galleries and jewelry stores.
We would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Omni Royal Orleans for Super Bowl weekend. Aside from being diehard Eagles fans and our team winning, staying there added to the pleasure of our time in NOLA. The entire staff was attentive and kind. And, a special shout out about the Concierge, Chris. He went above and beyond making sure we had reservations for wonderful dinners and jazz brunches. And he saw to it that my husband found an Eagles green pocket hankie for an Eagles event we had. His professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated!!

We’ve stayed at the Royal Orleans in the past and always enjoyed it. This time we needed accommodation for one night in the French Quarter due to a sudden change in plans, and we booked a courtyard Queen room — the room was small but nicely appointed, and it had a walkout terrace with large French doors to the courtyard with nicely private tables set off by lush plantings. (Unfortunately due to rain and thunder we couldn’t use it). The lobby and bar area are spacious and elegant. We walked around the corner to a great small restaurant called Sylvain late the first night and around the other corner to the famous Brennan’s for a spectacular brunch the next morning. Even though you’re in the heart of the French quarter, it’s a few blocks away from Bourbon street and quiet calm! Paige at the reception couldn’t have been nicer when we checked in, giving us free drink tickets, a late check-out, and lots of other help.
