We went to New York City for the first time in 40 years during Christmas week. We arrived on Christmas Day and left hours before New Year’s Eve. The crowds in the 10 square block area around Times Square are always chaotic and it was amazing how busy it was even by my standards. Our room was very nice, clean and surprisingly quiet. I asked for a room that could see the Time Square but not immediately overlooking Times Square. Everything was clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast in the M club as we are titanium members. The breakfast selections were huge and the food was always very good. We had Christmas dinner in the hotel because we flew on Christmas Day. The food was good, but not great because that was a huge volume of people. Over the course of the next several days, we had several meals in the restaurants downstairs. The service was always fair, but the food was always pretty good. As expected, there is a huge number of people that stay at this gigantic hotel and especially at this time of year it was probably extra crazy busy. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. We could see the Time Square ball drop area in addition to many other extractions, different windows. We worked extensively too pretty much all the major sites in New York City. If you can afford this hotel, it’s definitely worth it because of the location. It was very expensive and it did seem as though it was one of the giant Las Vegas hotels. We decided to stay here because we plan to go to NYC just once and wanted to do it up right.

My wife and I typically avoid Times Square like the plague when we're in the city and like to venture out to other areas. We ended up staying here for a conference and we were surprised that we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is expensive (given the location), but we had a conference rate, so that helped a lot. The staff were kind and very friendly and the room was surprisingly quiet as well. The bathroom was nice and had good water pressure, but the heating in the room was very hit or miss, so that was a bit of a downside. The location is the big key here as it's directly in Times Square and you can get to anything you need from here, particularly if you're going to a Broadway show. It's a nice hotel overall!

Central Park was a short walk away, as well as 5th Avenue, Rockafellar Center, and convenient subway stops. The hotel was nice and the staff was great. Restaurants were also plentiful in the area.

A Hotel In Perfect Location , With a WOW of The Times Square View. We had a Extremely Good Experience right from reaching Hotel.. The Bell Boy at Groudfloor where very Friendly's to next Reception then to Check inn. We stayed for three nights ...had an excellent Stay.

Told the hotel had Room Service when I called prior to our stay. We were unable to order a pot of coffee at breakfast time. We ordered continental breakfast, it came in a brown paper bag handed through the door. What they call room service is IN NO WAY the room service one expects from a 5 Star Marriott Hotel. I will NEVER stay at the Marriott Marquis again despite it's location. Also the entry from the street is inconvenient, up several floors on an elevator.

Loved the ambiance, the location and the facilities. Room was overlooking Times square. Could see all the activities and all the neon signs and led signboards. It was an awesome place to be. We just completed a weekend stay at the New York Marriott Marquis and had a pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful. We just completed a weekend stay at the New York Marriott Marquis and had a pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful. Jasmyn at the front desk warmly welcomed us and recognized my Lifetime Platinum status, leading to an upgrade to a room overlooking Times Square. Michael at the M Lounge was friendly and gave us wonderful recommendations for our visit to Chinatown. The room was modern and comfortable, and the M Lounge was large with a nice variety of offerings. The hotel is located in the heart of Times Square, with easy access to theatres and public transportation. We’d stay here again!

Prices seem lower in the dead of winter and were a great value for NYC. You literally cannot get a more perfect location for shows. The line for Hamilton queues in the hotel portico! Times Square and the City are not as enjoyable or safe as 5 years ago. But...

Times Square and the City are not as enjoyable or safe as 5 years ago. But this hotel is fantastic. Our room was VERY SPACIOUS overlooking Times Square. M Club is huge. This remains our go-to hotel in the theatre district,

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis Times Square from 12/10-15/24. The holiday season of 2024 brought record prices for hotels and MM was part of the inflation. Luckily, four of our five nights were at a group rate. Had we not had that price break we would have stayed home....

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis Times Square from 12/10-15/24. The holiday season of 2024 brought record prices for hotels and MM was part of the inflation. Luckily, four of our five nights were at a group rate. Had we not had that price break we would have stayed home. Tip—book EARLY. The price will not decrease. Otherwise, MM is the perfect place for your NYC stay. We saw five shows in three days and I doubt this would be possible if we’d stayed at another hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful. We will probably buy a Marriott mattress as the bed was the most comfy ever (& we have different standards of comfort!). We did not pay extra to stay in a room overlooking TS, but Room 1207, overlooking 46th Street, gave us a nice view. Our room had a fridge, sleeper-sofa, and a safe. MM credited overcharges that were not applicable to our group rate so give them a chance to make it right if you find mistakes in your bill. This was one of our best trips and best hotels ever! Thanks, MM (and Happy 35th to us!)!
