We had been to Nemacolin years ago, so we chose this spot as a quick anniversary overnight stay. From the champagne greeting at check in to the wonderful dinner at Gusto and all the way to check out, the staff is beyond polite and amazingly friendly. The hotel with all the renovations is immaculately beautiful as expected. We did horseback riding as an activity and Abby was our guide and very professional. She made us inexperienced riders feel comfortable for the hour on our horses. My husband visited the gym and was very impressed with equipment. We stayed in the Chateau and our room was beautiful and butler service was top notch. I am happy we chose this location to celebrate our special occasion and look forward to going back.

We stayed at Nemacolin in 2022 and would give it 5 stars at that time. They have somehow improved upon 5 stars in every way possible. We stayed at The Chateau in a room that we've previously stayed in. They have updated and improved the room, the bathroom, the fixtures, the tile and even the service. It was outstanding!
Previously, dogs were allowed only in certain rooms in the Chateau (not in the Grand Lodge). They've since opened up a few dog-friendly rooms in The Grand Lodge. We'll be sure to try those out next time. Our pup was greeted warmly and loved on by the staff throughout the resort. We couldn't have asked for a better or more dog-friendly visit.
We had dinner at Fawn and Fable, Aqueous, and Gusto. The steaks at Fawn and Fable are excellent and Aqueous is not to be missed. The food was amazing. If you are looking for a bit more casual, Gusto is a great option, but beware the large sizes of the entrees and desserts!
The people throughout the resort are so nice and helpful and the service is stellar.
Kudos to ownership for putting bottle-filling stations throughout the resort and providing refillable bottles in every room.
If you are looking to treat yourself and be pampered, Nemacolin is your place.

From the initial check-in to the transportation around the property. Every staff member was friendly and more than helpful. Only stayed for 1 night and 2 days.
Not enough time to see and enjoy the entire property. FANTASTIC experience. Can't wait to go back.

What a delightful place! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm and friendly service. The Chateau was breathtaking, and our Junior Suite was a spacious room with impeccable style. The food was consistently great, especially the complimentary room service breakfast. We had a blast snow tubing in the morning at the “Peak,” although other activities were limited. Despite this, this fantastic getaway location is a must-visit. I highly recommend it!

Never been to Nemacolin Resort before. Stayed at the Chateau. What a Beautiful Place!! From beginning to end . Called a couple of times before arriving to change activities and customer service couldn't be better. At a time when customer service is at an all time low the customer service at the Nemacolin is 5+ Stars. A couple of people were telling me "Yeah, but they're acting". Who cares!?!? Whether they genuinely care or not they made me feel like they did. Before the phone call ended they reviewed the activities, the time, the price changes. Made sure it was all to my satisfaction. Awesome!!
When we got to The Chateau we were met by a beautiful lady named Lisa. The biggest lie we hear in life is "Everybody is replaceable". You can definitely find someone to replace her....that's the easy part. But find someone with her knowledge, personality, sense of humor, that can't not be replaced. She makes the whole place shine!! Uplifting personality. She took her time to show us around. The Boutiques, Ice Cream Shoppe, etc. She informed us of the Butler service. It was just "WOW!!!' Excellent service. Every time I seen her she was on the go but never too busy to say "Hello" and made sure everything was okay. She enjoy what she does and truly puts her heart into everything she does. No amount of training a teach anyone that. Looking forward to seeing her again when I return!!
Now for a little bit of bad news......Not terrible, more like disappointing was the Casino. Very nice place. The restaurant in the casino was okay. The casino had the usual slot machines, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, various tables with Poker games. What they didn't was Texas Hold'em Poker tables. I'm sure to many it's not a big deal. I was just disappointed. Other than that the activities at Nemacolin are great! So many to choose from. We did the Big Cat Adventure and the Dog Sledding. What a great time!
We had no idea what to expect so we tried it out for the weekend.
Looking forward to booking 5 Day 4 Night stay the next time!
A Very Special Thank You To Lisa!! She is an inspiration. Honestly. She is. Thank you for everything. Hope too see you soon!!

If you want a grand luxury resort experience in Pennsylvania, this is the place to go. They have a beautiful landscape interior and exterior, all around delicious foods at all of their restaurants, so many activities to do where you will never be bored, shopping galore, entertainment beaucoup, the rooms are so beautiful and the pillows so fluffy. There is beautiful artwork and sculptures throughout the hotel. The staff each and every one of them is so helpful and amazing! I enjoyed staying on their special club floor in The Chateau and they served us so many delicious treats every single day and multiple times a day. They have many wonderful restaurants including Fawn and Fable, a new authentic Italian restaurant named Gusto with freshly handmade pasta where they also have a stone oven for fresh pizza, Amber Bar, and even the casino food is amazing. Many activities so you can never be bored. Their 24/7 shuttle buses are so convenient and friendly. Spa, shopping, and you can even come and go with your private jet. This place needs to be on your list for your next luxury resort experience.

We just left the resort yesterday after three days that felt like a week. This was our third stay and our first at Falling Rock (we prefer the Chateau which was sold out, presumably because it is the newest of the reimagined properties) Falling Rock is slated to be the final of the three properties to be updated and it shows. While still stunning and architectural, expect updates like better lighting and updated technologies that were added to the other two resorts. The bed and bedding were so comfortable we are asking where we can purchase them for ourselves! The Butler staff was exceptional - if we whispered too loudly that request or accommodation seemed to magically appear. We had the double balcony room which afforded a great early fall view of the 18th and the golfers finishing for the day. We dined at The Peak, Aqueous, Lautrec and had room service. It is impossible to a less than exceptional meal, even when its 'just' a chicken sandwich at The Peak or a crab scramble bedside. The difference between staying 'on campus' at the Lodge or Chateau is that having to take the shuttle back and forth allows you to enjoy more of the property - and more of the fun. We had no idea that evening shuttles included party music, chasing neon lights and bubbles!!! Typically we've enjoyed the more active parts of the property - clay shooting and golf - but this time we opted for pure pampering. The Woodlands Spa and Holistic Center provided each of us different services (6 in total) and we agreed that everything from greeting to farewell was exceptional. When we mentioned our name for a random room charge we were acknowledged 'oh! you're the Soxmans! Happy Anniversary!' as if they had all had a team meeting of the entire resort to make sure we were meant to feel special. And we did.
Point blank, it's expensive. Yes, some things are overpriced inexplicably (the sound bath is $400? The carnival style ax throwing is $50 a person?) but things are also rightly priced for the fact that you can't really access many of these fineries or experiences elsewhere (to this caliber.) There are also a ton of included amenities of the resort like mini golf and art tours.
What we love most is that we're treated like the everyday people we are - because they're every day people too. Do not expect stuffy arrogance here, expect friendly smiles, excited professionalism, and an absolutely clear desire to make sure our stay was beyond expectations. Hope you give this lovely gem of a resort a try - especially during this time of year with the changing of the leaves and crisp laurel mountain air.

I am a Bon voyage Platinum member as well as a DVC Member and this fell WAY below par. Expect average food, average service, average amenities. The hotel room was the only thing that was nice. Everyone working there are college kids. We had to send back dishes since they were too undercooked or overcooked. Food is important and we left and drove 30 mins to eat off premise. Please go somewhere else and spend your money somehwere else.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. We were on the 5th floor facing the small airport. The 5th floor has a wonderful lounge with everything from breakfast through late night snacks and desserts. If I were to book again, I would not book the breakfast package if on this floor. We had breakfast at Fawn & Fable which was nice, but we could have eaten in the lounge. Our room was huge! So much space. And the bathroom was absolutely luxurious. The service was wonderful. They could not find our tickets to Falling Water, but did not stop until the matter was taken care of. The shuttle service around the resort was also amazing. The property is beautifully maintained. I actually can't think of anything negative to say.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, PA from July 3rd through July 7th, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed at Falling Rock, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional warmth and hospitality.
Our butler, Tommy, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable—attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead of our needs. Every morning, we enjoyed peaceful walks across the stunning 2,200-acre estate, soaking in the natural beauty and tranquility.
The activities were a true highlight—zip lining, the wildlife habitat tour, and horseback riding all exceeded our expectations. There’s something for every type of adventurer here.
Dining at Nemacolin was a real treat. We visited most of the restaurants on property and were especially impressed with Gusto and Aqueous—delicious cuisine, elegant ambiance, and flawless service. In fact, every member of the staff we encountered was kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The impeccable service and the resort’s unique attention to detail made us feel like honored guests at every turn.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, nature-filled escape with top-tier service and amenities, Nemacolin is unmatched. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

My wife and I had the privilege of staying in the Chateau at Nemacolin several weeks ago and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were excellent and friendly - from check in to check out, it was white glove treatment and very professional (the butler is a bit over the top but a nice touch). The resort - featuring spacious rooms and bathrooms (the toilet is a little quirky tbh) to the magnificent grounds and all the amenities in between, is top notch. While we weren't there long enough to take advantage of everything Nemacolin offered (or nearby activities) - white water rafting, skeet shooting, wildlife adventures, mini golf, the casino, the spa etc., I was able to golf and the both of us loved the expansive gym. We were also lucky enough to dine at Aqueous one night and the food was outstanding - incredible seafood, steak and great service. I would certainly head back to Nemacolin down the road as it's a perfect jumping off point for lots of southwest PA adventures.

The property is absolutely beautiful, but service ruins the entire experience. I booked Nemacolin for a birthday weekend and we stayed at Falling Rock, the adults only property. The check in was good and a few things were high lighted to do around the property. I knew from booking that this hotel that a champagne cart and apps were part of daily happy hour. We went to the Amber Bar upon arrival at 4:30pm and Alex was behind the bar and did not greet us. We asked about happy hour and she asked what we wanted. We ordered two drinks. She made no mention of champagne or anything happy hour. She asked us our room number to charge the drinks. My husband asked if they had any snacks and she said she would go ask the bartender, yet she was behind the bar and was serving drinks. She ignored us but was busy talking to what looked like some regular golfers that came in often. She was making sure they were taken care of. A guy came out and brought a tiny plate to us and the food was cold. He sat it down, did not tell us what it was and walked off. There was no champagne cart. This started our experience off terrible. When we got to our room, there was a small cake for my husband’s birthday which was a nice touch. I had booked my own reservations for dinner in advance both nights, no one ever reached out to offer us help to book reservations of things to do on property. We walked around the property ourselves and then headed to Gusto. The service was better at Gusto, although they were out of the pasta that we ordered. They replaced it with a different pasta and it came out cold and hard. We did not complain, paid our bill and tipped 20%. Breakfast was included in our stay at Aqueous and that was the best part. Both mornings the food was good and service was good. Moiesha served us both mornings and was very attentive. We went to the pool at Falling Rock on the 2nd day and it was filled with people who were staying at the other properties. Falling Rock’s pool is supposed to be for Falling Rock guests only, but others from The Chateau and The Grand Lodge were there. There were no seats except for chairs sitting outside of the cabanas. We went and sat down and the bartender came running over and said we couldn’t sit there unless we wanted to rent a cabana. We weren’t inside the cabana, but sitting on a chair outside of one. No one was renting any of the cabanas and there was no where else for us to sit. He told us it’s first come first serve yet people were there that were not supposed to be at that pool. They were not asking for room numbers or else this could have been avoided. They had no help at the pool and after we eventually found one chair when someone got up, the people beside us ate lunch and their tray of dirty dishes was left sitting beside us for hours. No one ever picked it up. As you looked around dirty trays and drink cups were laying everywhere. You aren’t supposed to have glass at the pool or bring your own drinks and a group of women kept dropping a bag they had where they had their own bottles of wine and glass bottle beer. It was annoying because they kept knocking it over and no one ever addressed it. They should not have brought any of that in and it was a hazard because they could have broken the glass when they kept dropping their bags. We eventually went inside where the bar was a disaster with dirty drink glasses everywhere and no bartender in site.
The Butler service sounds great but they did very little. I asked for more water in the room one time and they brought it. When I tried to call to request other things the front desk answered and said they would tell the Butlers but then more water never arrived. The only thing they did nice is when I ordered a bath and they did have that ready on time. My husband and I went back to the bar for happy hour on the 2nd day and had to inquire about champagne. Alex was at the bar again and was not very friendly. She said we could have one glass of prosecco and my husband wanted a beer so she gave him a bottle and brought him the tab. He asked for snacks and she said they were making them in the back and they weren’t ready yet it was after 4pm and happy hour is supposedly 4-5pm at Falling Rock. She eventually brought out one tiny pierogi for each of us. Other people arrived at the bar and were very irritated as they asked about happy hour and Alex told them there was no happy hour. They said the hotel was misleading in what they were selling to guests. Alex said she would give them a glass of prosecco but nothing else. They asked for apps and she said there weren’t any ready and they would have to wait. They were very agitated with the service and told us how poor their experience has been. We went to Fawn and Fable for dinner that evening and had very bad service. The table we were sat at was horrible and it was unsteady and kept moving around. We brought this to the server’s attention and he told us to slide down to the next table. We literally just slide down the booth area to the next tiny table. Then they sat people right beside us who also complained about the table and had to be moved. Another table on the other side of us had a wobbly table and complained about it and yet none of the tables were ever addressed. We ordered appetizers and the surf and turf for two. The steak came out and was overcooked and cold. It was sliced up already and had clearly been sitting in the kitchen for a long while. This was the second night in a row with cold food. Our server never checked on us and was very dismissive. To spend $400 on dinner and get cold food, bad service and a bad table is terrible. We were never addressed by our names and my husband’s birthday was never acknowledged either night for dinner even though it was noted in the system. Every time we would be in the lobby of Falling rock, there was never any employees. No one was ever around if you needed anything and it always felt short staffed.
To spend $4,000 for two nights (not including the cost of food or activities), you don’t even come close to getting your money’s worth. Yes the properties are beautiful, but it’s the service that lets you down. Breakfast was the best and the price of it was included in our room. The rest of the food was overpriced and not good. Happy hour was non existent, butler service is sold as one thing and actually very different than what you get.
For someone that is used to staying at Ritz-Carlton’s and has traveled the world to many amazing places, this is a massive let down. Don’t spend the money to go here. You will be disappointed. I wish I had of shared my poor experience with management, but there was never any management around and when we left to check out there was no staff at all to speak to. An overall let down and waste of money.
