Stayed for three days as a base to explore the area. Overall service, quality of amenities, location and atmosphere at Nayara Gardens made our stay in Arenal really enjoyable. A hiccup at check in was quickly resolved and the attitude of all staff was 10/10. Seems to have a high staff to guest ratio so requests were acted on promptly. The variety and quality of the restaurant meals exceeded expectations.

The luxury of this resort set in the beauty of the rainforest made for an experience like no other. Our casita was large, comfortable and clean complete with a beautiful deck, infinity plunge pool, and outdoor shower! The pools were magnificent, public spaces were immaculate, and the staff members were super friendly. I so enjoyed seeing sloths, iguanas, monkeys, etc in their natural habitat. This is one resort we hope to visit again next year.

A Jungle Escape with Jaw-Dropping Views & Unmatched Tranquility Nestled deep in the rainforest and overlooking the majestic Arenal Volcano, this resort is pure magic. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by lush greenery, warmly welcomed with a cocktail, and instantly struck by how kind and friendly the people here are. A golf cart whisked me to my Casita, my personal sanctuary in the garden section of the resort. The space was brand new, beautifully designed, and had the most comfortable bed—but the real star? My private plunge pool with an uninterrupted view of Arenal Volcano. I could’ve spent all day there, just soaking in the scenery, but there was too much to explore! Mornings started with complimentary yoga at the spa pavilion, where you flow through poses surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. The experience is serene, and at the end of class, you’re handed fresh coconut water—straight from the coconut. After that, I’d head to breakfast, a delicious all-you-can-eat spread with plenty of variety. Then, a quick stop at the coffee shop, where they serve incredible matcha, cacao, and locally sourced coffee. One of my favorite things about this place is the wildlife. You don’t have to go looking for it—it’s everywhere. Monkeys swing through the trees, sloths lounge lazily, toucans soar overhead, and vibrant tropical birds are always nearby. It’s like living in a nature documentary. The spas here are legendary, and for good reason. There are three, each offering an incredible experience, but Shuka Spa is my personal favorite. It’s a white-washed, Zen sanctuary where you’ll want to spend hours getting pampered. Afternoons were spent poolside, enjoying a great lunch and soaking in the tropical surroundings. Evenings were just as special, with several amazing restaurants to choose from. Ayla quickly became my go-to, thanks to its beautiful atmosphere and live musicians. And tucked away, there’s a hidden little wine bar—easy to miss, but once you find it, you won’t want to leave. I’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in some truly incredible places, but something about this resort keeps pulling me back. I’ve visited three years in a row and already can’t wait to return. It’s a scrumptious little paradise, just a short flight from the U.S., yet it feels like another world. If you’re looking for luxury, nature, and complete relaxation, this is the place.

Nayara Gardens was one of the best and most beautiful resorts I stayed at. It felt like something out of White Lotus. It was so serene and private. Although the hotel was full, I basically never saw another hotel guest except at breakfast. Everything is so private, it was amazing....

Nayara Gardens was one of the best and most beautiful resorts I stayed at. It felt like something out of White Lotus. It was so serene and private. Although the hotel was full, I basically never saw another hotel guest except at breakfast. Everything is so private, it was amazing. The private plunge pool in the Casita was one of the most romantic and beautiful things I have ever experienced. The other amenities like the hot springs were sooo tranquil, and completely empty when we went. The breakfast (included) was a delicious buffet that held us over all day. My advice is don't book too many excursions- I wish I hadn't and enjoyed the hotel more than I had time for!! I generally dont like visiting the same place twice, but this is one place I will definitely be going back! Also a shout out to all the staff there, especially Kevin. Costa Ricans in general are super nice people, so accommodating. I've traveled to many central and south American and carribean countries that depend on tourism- but Costa Ricans take the cake for excellent service that goes above and beyond and they aren't pushy or fishing for tips. They genuinely want you to have an amazing experience and it really shows in how they treat their guests.

A beautiful place, wonderful professional staff providing outstanding service, delicious meals perfectly presented, bird and animal watching on the premises, a hotel room better than I can remember anywhere else with a pefect view of the Arenal Volcano .

The room was much larger than I expected, and the bed was so comfortable. The fresh fruit daily was a pleasant surprise. Of course, we loved our full sized deck and hammock and our plunge pool! The staff was attentive and always professional and friendly. The food - especially the breakfast - was phenomenal. We did take a few excursions through the hotel and everything ran smoothly. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel and the staff members who work there. Wonderful experience!

Gosh, we arrived after dark and we were called the next morning to see if we wanted a tour of the property. Yes! The food? Spectacular. Everyone is happy! And can we talk about the wildlife? We had a sloth on a tree in front of our casita every day! Gosh this an amazing property.

The “plunge pool” was private and surrounded by rainforest with blooming ginger plants and helicons. Such luxury without the insects! Breakfast was served on our private deck next to our private hot tub… with white tablecloth service! Excursions to the Arenal Volcano of Costa Rica!
