The pool was being refurbished when we were there but we had a beachfront room and the beach and the lagoon were far nicer than any pool could be anyway. Complimentary cocktail and canapés every day at 1500. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was really clean and well looked after

Muri Beach is a spectacular location for a stay and this hotel could not have been a better choice for our honeymoon stay. Friendly staff who know and greet you by name, personal service and a real desire to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The hotel’s facilities are very good. The week after we stayed the hotel and pool was being completely refurbished so I’m sure it will be even better. Food in the restaurant was very good, and the cocktails are far too appealing! Beach is well groomed and the outlook and location on Muri lagoon is wonderful. We would definitely want to return in future.

We spent Xmas 2024 and up to NY in Cook. We chose MBCH for a couple of nights then another hotel. But we found MBCH awesome and stayed. The hotel is pretty, perfectly situated and with a plethora of great staff. We had great food and excellent service. Right on the bus route it was easy to get around. And the beach is also perfect. This hotel is highly recommended!

The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is basic but satisfying. The location is beautiful. Now Adults only? Not so much. Inside the resort sure. If you are by the pool yep adults only. BUT if you are in the resturant, On the beach chairs, or in your room (if it’s at the front) there is no respite from the local kids, swimming playing, squealing in the public beach and water are out front. We stayed in room 102, tired after a long flight we had hoped for an afternoon nap. But a family took up a spot under the tree right next to our room (border of the property) and proceeded to make a lot of noise for many hours. Complete with squealing kids. It was a joyful noise, but it chased us out of our room and done to the beach where a large group of young boys wrestled and sang and hackaed in the water out front for several hours. So to be fair, it’s not adults only like you are used to in other pats of the world. Any property that borders public waterways will not be. So just manage your expectations. If you are after peace and quiet, you might not find it here.

This is our 3rd time to Rarotonga and staying at the Muri Beach Club Hotel. It’s the only place we have stayed but we continue to return due to the beautiful , friendly service, delicious food, clean and comfortable rooms and the location of the property. A special shout out to Michael, Rowena, Israel and Jim. All of them made us feel so welcomed and the hotel honestly felt like a home away from home. Thank you also to Daena, the reception staff and house keeping staff too. We can’t recommend Muri Beach Club Hotel enough! Having the beach, cafes, Muri night markets , swimming activities available ( Stand up paddleboard, Kayak) makes our holiday so easy and stress free. We were so sad to leave but We will keep returning! Thank you so much.

The place is stunning for cocktails and great food, staff are wonderful and so happy and engaging. Loved it. Nothing was too much trouble and they always make you feel welcome and acknowledge you as you arrive. It’s right in the lagoon and beautiful well kept beach.

MURI BEACH CLUB, The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. From check in to check out . Durning our 2 week stay always asking we needed anything. The view from our ocean front room was excellent and very comfortable. Large pool , pool side food and drink service and 3 pm mock tails and snacks with lots of staff on hand for service.The free breakfast with so many choices and daily main dish. Lunch and dinner was very good. Lots of beach toys free for our use.kayaks , paddle boards, mask and vins for snorkeling. The beach with the white sand and miles to walk. This is not a busy beach so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet or just be in the clear blue water. Walk down the beach for the night market or glass bottom boat adventure was great. We did ride the bus around the island a few times easy. The Saturday market with all stands for souvenirs and food and great time go early. The airport was very easy for customs in and out, there is some paper work so give yourself time..Overall review was excellent , location best on the island. Thank you to everyone for making our stay the best , we will be back. Rick and Shannon..

Back in 2017 we walked along the beach from our accommodation and stumbled across the Muri beach Club hotel. We had snacks and cocktails beside the pool and was served by a wonderful waitress. We promised ourselves there and then that we would be back one day to stay. It took us seven years but we made it! We were pleasantly surprised on the morning of our first breakfast to see that the beautiful waitress, Rowena, was still here! And her service is still impeccable. And that applies to all of the staff. Jim, a real gentleman with a lovely balance of having a laugh yet remaining professional, Rowena, Michael, Izzy who very kindly gave me his straw hat, Ma who makes the best Mojitos and is hereby called Ma Mojito, Eleanor, Layla, the beautiful maintenance girl with her pink socks and huge smile, the reception staff, not to mention the kitchen staff who put out the most wonderful meals and different hot breakfast option daily.....it was just the best holiday ever. We stayed in a beachfront room, no 203 situated top left as you're looking out to the lagoon and we couldn't have been happier. In fact any of those beachfront rooms have wonderful views you can't go wrong (I managed to sneak a look in as I walked past when the rooms were getting cleaned and all the views were great.) The rooms are well appointed, with a huge comfortable king bed. Good size TV, and you can log into Netflix. There is now free hotel wifi. You can lay on the bed and look out onto the lagoon. Room service is fast and fantastic. The Muri Beach Lagoon itself is quite shallow but it's great for swimming kayaking, paddle boarding and some snorkelling although better snorkelling is obviously around the rocks a bit further around the lagoon but within walking distance. There were a few weddings during the two weeks we were there but the marquee is put up on the beachside the day before the wedding and taken down the day after the wedding and any guests noise is gone by 11 pm. The weddings didn't detract from our enjoyment at all. The staff are just wonderful and we can't give them enough praise. They are a real asset to the hotel. They really made our holiday. We often still think about them and wonder how they are doing in their little piece of paradise. We can't actually fault this hotel or holiday and we will definitely be back. would just like to mention that in previous reviews comments were made like there are ants in the room, the air-conditioning doesn't work, the showers run hot and cold with low pressure, and there's kids on the beach when it's supposed to be an adults only hotel. Well ants do find their way into the room if there are drink spills or food left out so wipe it up and you'll have no ants. The air-conditioning only works if the door key card is placed in its holder on the wall, and the showers do run hot and cold with alternating pressure if everyone's having a shower at the same time, so choose your time to have a shower. We found avoiding between four and five in the afternoon helped tremendously and we enjoyed wonderful high-pressure showers. Lastly there will be children swimming in the lagoon especially on a Sunday when the locals enjoy it but it's much quieter during the week when the local kids are at school.

We can not tell you how much we loved every moment of our stay at the Muri Beach Club Hotel. From the beautiful beachfront room that we stayed in, to the most beautiful spot on the Muri Beach, the pool area, the restaurant, the food, the cocktails... absolutely everything was perfect! But just when you think that nothing could possibly outshine all of the above... something does! The staff!! They were just absolutely the most amazing beautiful humans, they knew our names and doted on us like we've never experienced before. I actually had leaky eyes when it came time to say goodbye to them, especially Jim the amazing man that kept the cocktails coming for us! And Rowena who always made sure we had a best breakfast ever and was well fuelled for the day... I could list every single staff member from the hotel but I really need to do some work so I can start saving for our next stay 😂

I can not tell you how wonderful our holiday was & this was definitely due to the location of the hotel & the staff. The manager at the hotel went out of her way to help us with an incident we had..the rest of the staff especially Rowena, Kat & the bar manager were soo lovely & made you feel very special. We went all round the island & Muri Beach is definitely the best location, you can step out of your room onto the beach & into the lagoon in a few steps, stunning !! If your going to Rarotonga please stay here you won't regret it...we will definitely go back

The location is one of the best! Customer service is unreal, really friendly, helpful and smiley staff. (The housekeeping team, reception and restaurant/cooking staff all great service). The restaurant is really good, and the food is tasty and good portions. We enjoyed the complementary cocktails and nibbles. As well, as the exploring gear available, SUP, kayaks and snorkeling. Easy to explore the little 3 island in front of the hotel, if you paddle or take a kayak. We even saw a turtle in the lagoon. Our only recommendation is for waste disposal. Obviously, waste management is an issue on the island, as street dogs. So, if instead of just piling up rubbish bags on the side of the hotel, place them on bins. These will prevent animals digging into it and waste blowing out everywhere else. I witnessed plastic, cans, and glass being recycled on the island. It would be ideal if the hotel join the initiative and start separating them as well. It will be great as well, to have a UV filtered water fountain for guest and to offer reusable bottles instead of two complementary plastic water bottles on arrival.

A good hotel, dated but a renovation is happening in 2025. Friendly staff, but not polished service with some simple things not done well, like forgetting cutlery etc. Pool area is nice to get out of the wind, and the beachfront is awesome, as the the included kayaks and paddle boards. The daily happy hour cocktail’s were not very nice, and overly complicated and exotic. A simple rum and coke, or gin and tonic, would have tasted better and pleased more people. There is no 24/7 room service as advertised, and there was no turndown service in our first room, although there was in our second. The first room (garden view) had chromecast and Netflix etc, but our second (beachfront) did not. Bathrooms were dated, and water pressure / temperature poor. Some fresh flowers had been placed in the room on arrival, but had been there a few days and ants were finding them. The included soaps were amazing. The beds were great, location too notch, but for the price I would expect much more. In summary, they try to be 5 star, but don’t execute it well. Still a pleasant stay and we would return if the price was more reflective of the product.

Excellent experience at the Muri Beach Club Hotel. The staff are exceptional and we were very lucky to be served by Israel. Great happy hour, 2 hours on the beach, what more could you ask for?! Drinks are lovely and so are the grounds. The best experience of Rarotonga.

The hotel is nice. The pool in the centre is a good place to sit if it's too breezy by the lagoon because it is sheltered by the building. The staff were very friendly but sometimes the service was a bit slack. The cocktail hour for sundowners was a bit early and some of the drinks and snacks were better than others, but it is a nice touch and a pleasant way to head into happy hour. Some of the hotel features were a bit tired in the bathroom and it was not totally sparkling clean (eg, water spotting on the glass shower cubicle) but the housekeeping did a reasonably good job. The paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling equipment are great and make it easy to enjoy the lagoon. The only thing missing are bicycles for guest use and a gym facility. They are doing upgrades so maybe these will be part of that! The guest lounge is also a nice touch and we used that between our check out and airport transfer. We didn't use the spa so I can't comment on that. I would recommend staying here if you don't have children with your or you don't want to stay at a child friendly hotel. We loved Jill the resident dog, and all the other doggy visitors while we sat by the lagoon.
