I have just spent an amazing 5 nights pre-honeymoon at the Mayia with my husband. We were both really impressed from the moment we arrived. We had one of the swim up rooms with a sea view, which again was very impressive. On arrival had complimentary Prosecco & Chocolates A fully stocked mini bar. We had sun shining on our terrace from sunrise until around 4pm. Which after that was able to head down to one of the main pools which was nice and chilled not overcrowded we never struggled to find a couple of sun beds and upon arrival it wasn’t long before one of the waiters would come and take a drinks order from us, which was very good service which we found from all of the staff who could never seem to do enough for you. We tried all of the restaurants which we were impressed with, but in particular the main restaurant stood out for us with the exceptional choose of cuisine different at every meal time. We will be returning for one of our anniversary’s highly recommend A****

The only complaint would be the drinks in the night club were super strong but we still had a good time!

We visited for 10 nights in October, and really enjoyed our stay!! We stayed in a lovely, modern, room with an ocean view, and were well looked after on our arrival late at night. The surroundings, restaurants and pool area are really beautiful. It was no bother at all to get a sunbed, either by the pool or on the beach. There is a huge selection of places to eat and drink. We particularly loved the Italian restaurant (Mr V is brilliant!) and the Greek restaurant (the manager is lovely!), order the lamb chops! The ladies who ran the water aerobics were great! Then back to pool side with a cocktail. Special mention to the lovely Renato for my cosmopolitans! Every evening there was entertainment, great shows! Would love to return! Can not recommend enough!

Firstly, I'd like to thank George at the resort for his incredibly generous welcome and personal greeting when my husband and I arrived. George had reviewed our booking and saw that I had advised them of being vegan, and he went out of his way to personally ensure that I was catered for. As a special treat, he also gave us an upgrade to the most incredible suite, which was absolutely breathtaking! What a welcome! Thank you so much George. I needn't have worried about being vegan like I have done on other European holidays; all the restaurants cater for all dietary requirements, with someone always on hand in the main restaurant and al la carte restaurants to point you in the right direction or cook something especially for you. Even the poolside 'market' area has fully vegan options in all the cafes. Honestly I have NEVER eaten so well while on holiday - Mayia have hands down won my heart in this department! The whole resort is spotless with a huge team of staff working diligently to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. We asked for a kettle on the first day (we don't drink coffee, only tea) and it was brought to us without delay. Our suite was spotlessly clean and maintained every day, with clean bedding and towels as needed. And that pool - having your own pool is such a luxury but well worth it. The hot tub was maintained daily as well. My only very minor grip was that the suites are very close to the family resort next door, which plays music late and very loudly, so we weren't able to sleep as well as we would have hoped. But this is not in the control of the resort, so I cannot blame them for this. All pool areas were also spotless, and there was never a worry about lounger space. So many times on holiday, you see people heading out as the sun rises to put towels on loungers, but there is no need here; there is plenty of space for all guests. The staff working the toolbars were incredibly attentive and friendly despite being the hottest week of the year so far (and threats of forest fires in Rhodes again). They got to know us and could tell our drinks orders before we gave them! The whole resort also smells amazing! Attention to detail is clearly evident everywhere, from the architecture, the design and the layout to the quality and friendliness. I cannot rate this resort any more highly and am confident we shall return in the near future. Thank you so much!

Our honeymoon stay at Mayia Resort was everything we wanted and needed. From the moment we arrived we were looked after. The staff at reception were always more than happy to help and even managed to help me source an amazing bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday at 24 hours notice! We stayed in a swim up room which was perfect if you wanted to retreat and cool off. We managed get booked in and to try each of the a la carté restaurants. The Italian and Greek being our favourites! The staff at each were always enthusiastic and happy to recommend different things, it was a highlight of our visit as the experience was so good. These restaurant require a booking on the app often a day or two in advance. You need to be quick at midnight the day the times are released. The Greek and Italian restaurants don't need a reservation at lunchtime. There is the buffet available which is also amazing at breakfast, lunch and dinner. So much selection it made you want to try it all. The different bars were all fantastic, the champagne bar was nice for a drink before a meal but the main bar overlooking the resort near reception was our favourite. The pool bar always had some entertainment going on an evening too. We treated ourselves to treatment at the spa and for a honeymoon treat, it was worth it. We had the cretan massage, (with some nice discount from the lady who walked by the pool during the day). The hotel has their own private beach, we preferred the pools but if you prefer the beach, water shoes are recommended as it is pretty rocky in the water. If you're thinking of booking, do it. You won't regret it.

Stayed for 1 week in September 2024. Echoing all other reviews, this hotel is fantastic. I could be here all day writing about the positives! Food is brilliant, even the buffet. Drinks service around the pool was excellent and remained consistent throughout our stay - our order was remembered everyday without prompt! Sunbeds aren't crammed together and no sunbed wars. We also loved the evening entertainment at the ampitheatre. Our room was modern, spacious and the mini bar was great. One thing I noticed here and was pleased about is that the housekeeping was consistent and came at the same time everyday - by the time we came back from breakfast at 10am, our room had already been cleaned. The spa is also great, quite expensive but it was so worth it. They were fully booked (we made a last minute booking, not expecting to get in) but the staff still accommodated us by bringing in an extra therapist. We will 100% return sometime in the future, thank you for an excellent holiday!

We're now back from our second stay at the Mayia Hotel and, like the first visit, we were so pleased with our stay. In fact, we enjoyed our second stay more than the first. Why... this time we stayed in one of the Mayia Suites - absolute luxury and would recommend anyone considering these rooms! Also despite it being more than a year since our first visit, and the large number of guests that would have visited in that time, so may of the staff recognised and remembered us. It really does have that family feel in the hotel that you don't always find within the hospitality industry. I could call out individual names but it would be quicker for me to say that every single member of staff that we interacted with made our stay more enjoyable, from check-in, reception, concierge, bar staff, street food, breakfast staff, lunch staff, a la carte, champagne bar... the list goes on. We were very fortunate that the weather remained very hot given it was the last week in October but that would not have affected our stay and we will be returning in the future. Thank you Mayia and until next time!

My partner and I enjoyed the most unbelievable one week all inclusive premium stay, our first time in Rhodes was magical. We loved it so much shortly after returning home we booked for next year extending for 10 nights. The hotel and staff offered us everything and more, it truly exceeded all expectations. Absolutely breathtaking views and the little details made the resort even more special. This is definitely our happy place and we made such amazing memories here. We hired a boat one day from beach bums this was one of our favourite days, such good value for money and a fun way to see more of what this beautiful island has to offer. Next year we will be venturing to Blue Lagoon, we didn’t know about this until after but it looks amazing. The food and drink options are endless and the A La Carte restaurants were 10/10. We ate at the Pan Asian twice it was gorgeous, if you’re foodies like us this is definitely the hotel for you. Even the buffet was fantastic offering themed nights every night, we were spoilt for choice. From start to finish everything was beyond perfect, the staff go the extra mile and nothing is too much for them. The hotel has everything if you didn’t wish to leave whilst you’re there, however if you do Lindos is only a 20 minute cab journey away. We had another amazing day exploring Lindos town, shopping in the cute pretty boutiques, market stalls and eating a lovely authentic lunch. We then spent the rest of the day at St Paul’s Bay, this is a must visit! Beautiful day out. Symi island is also on our list for next year. Big shout out and huge thanks to the most wonderful, hardworking, attentive, professional polite team, without them our holiday wouldn’t have been what it was. David and Christos beach bar, Valerios Italian restaurant the service we received was exceptional, Giannis pool bar, Panagiotis, Tatiava and Christos thank you for such a warm welcome at reception. Your front of house hospitality was amazing. Bledi and Dimitris porter, Vasiliki main bar. Every drink, iced coffee, cocktail we had was lovely. The strawberry frozen daiquiris were perfection. The hotel was always in pristine condition, so clean, tidy and smelling devine. We ended our holiday with the most beautiful relaxing cretan message and aloe vera full body wrap, would highly recommend experiencing their stunning tranquil spa facilities. Thank you so much, Stella was amazing helping us find the best treatments for us. We’re counting down the days until we’re back in paradise, this resort is the definition of pure luxury!

I have been putting off writing this review, because I have a lot to write. Mayia is beautiful. We arrived late because our plane was delayed by about 2 hours. We were greeted by the staff and they offered us some drinks as we were checking in. We were surprised though, that we had to pay about 70 Euro at check-in and they said this was for tax. No one had mentioned this to us before. The butler took our bags to the golf buggy and showed us around the resort before taking us to our room. He showed us around the room and gave us the hotel information before he left. The room was beautiful and we loved that we had a semi private pool. They had left snacks in the room for us, which went very good to be honest. The portion was for one person and the wrap was soggy. The breakfast was good, but it was repetitive, but I understand that there is not much you can change with breakfast. My husband loved the Greek pastries and had them everyday. The eggs were a let down and I tried different ones everyday. They did not have that much taste to them.The lunch and dinner buffet had some good dishes and some dishes that were not that great. The beef dishes were often a bit dry or tough. We tried the Greek and Italian restaurants and the food was delicious in both of the restaurants. One of the waiters in the Italian restaurant was really good, unfortunately we did not get his name (he didn't have hair). We loved the dessert shop and we went there every day. The best cocktails were from the pool bar. The beach was nice, besides being stoney. It needs more attention though, because there were cigarette buds in the sand around the tables. People from other resorts kept coming over to use the sunbeds, so a sign should be put up to say it's a private area. Also I think that there should be designated areas for smoking, because sometimes the smoke ruined it for non smokers. All the staff were really good. Our room was cleaned everyday, however a couple of the days it smelt like a dirty mop had been used to wipe the floors. The waiters were friendly, especially in the main restaurant. Special mention goes to Dimitra (the supervisor) she took the drinks order, the young boy Ioannis (John) and the lady with red hair and glasses. Room 2020 just needs more privacy when you are in the pool, because it's right next to the path and there is a bit of foot traffic. Hopefully when the bushes grow, they will offer more privacy. We will definitely be returning to Mayia.

We arrived for our 3rd stay at the Mayia Exclusive Resort. The flight, luggage collection at the airport and the transfers were all quick and efficient. From the time of landing to getting our luggage it was roughly 30 minutes and we had no trouble finding our private transfer. Off to the hotel which is about 1 hour from the airport. Check in was smooth and quick. The reception staff are always helpful and efficient. We were shown to our room, a premier suite with partition and balcony with sea view. There was a fruit plate and a bottle of sparkling wine waiting to welcome us back. Breakfast and lunch are served in the Waterfront Restaurant “Buffet Style”. Plenty of selection, but food is always tepid in temperature. There is a guy at breakfast that will cook eggs/omelettes to order. The 3 al-la-carte restaurants have to be pre-booked up to 2 days in advance which you can do on the hotel app or go to reception. We managed to get booked in for our first 3 nights thanks to Giannis (Customer Relations Manager) so kind and efficient. Our first meal was at the Italian restaurant “Al Dente”. The menu had changed from last year, not as extensive, but we managed to find something we liked. You can also eat here at lunch times, without having to book, where they serve pizzas and pasta. Service at this restaurant is excellent. Secondly we tried the Greek restaurant, “Thymari”. Again the menu had changed from last year which was not as extensive as we remember. You can also eat here at lunch time without booking and they serve Meze’s, which is great. Food and service is really good. We also tried the Asian restaurant “Wasabi”. The menu again had changed and there was not as much choice. The service was not as good as previous years. Our room was very spacious - huge bed, sofa, a nice balcony with lovely views of the sea (spoilt slightly by the car park in front), a walk–in shower and toilet. There was lots of storage plus a mini fridge with cold drinks, miniature alcohol bottles and snacks which was replenished daily. The main pool areas are kept very clean and you can always find a sun bed at any time of the day. We went to the beach area every other day to break up the holiday. It has a really nice setting - comfortable beds, a small bar serving drinks and snacks. We tried the lunch options this year which we found very good and tasty. The pool bar "Senso" is a great place to hang out day or night. The staff are so attentive and soon learn your drink preferences which is amazing considering the number of people they serve. The evening staff even remembered our drink preferences. As soon as we sat down, they were on the table without even having to ask - that is service for you. During the day, the guys that run the bar are really good fun and the drinks always plentiful. The "Del Mar" (Lobby Bar) was always a great place to hang out in the evenings. However this year the staff were miserable. It was as though they didn’t want to be there. We only went in there on one occasion which was a shame as we really enjoyed it in previous years. The holiday was fantastic from start to finish. We will definitely be returning. Just like to give a mention to some of the wonderful staff that we encountered during our stay to recognise their kindness and service. To start our private transfer from the airport was the just over an hours drive but it felt like 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the hotel we were instantly greeted the minute we got there. All the staff were very attentive yet relaxed - we were offered a glass of fizz which we turned down as we don’t drink (so we’re given a nice mocktail) and a seat in their huge reception and within 5 mins we were presented with our key and a golf buggy came to collect us and our luggage. We booked the Premium Sea View Swim Up Bungalow and it was lovely. Very clean, serviced daily, we had them take out the alcohol from the mini bar and they gave us more yummy chocolate, water and juices which was restocked daily. At first it feels like a large resort but nothing is super far - lots of stairs and slopes but there are lifts also to each level. The resort itself is so clean and constantly being cleaned even though it is reaching the end of the season. The 2 pools are huge and very clean however absolutely freezing so bear this in mind. (It’s takes some braveness) There is a guy at each pool taking drinks orders - these guys work so so hard and deserved a tip each day and appreciated it too. Buffet is a very large space and the food is definitely quality over quantity but saying that there is definitely something for everyone. The other restaurants are good too - our favourite was the Japanese. Booking for the restaurants are via the app and they are bookable 2 days in advance from midnight - we managed to get booked into each restaurant for dinner at least once (you can book as much as you want). The Greek and Italian are also open for lunch with no booking required.

The hotel on arrival blew us away. We had a lovely welcome on arrival and was taken to our room which we was very impressed with. We booked a swim up room and the pool was meant to be heated - it's was freezing which was disappointing. We enjoyed the Greek restaurant but sadly that's where it ended. We got dressed up and was very much looking forward to eating in the Asian restaurant and having a few glasses of fizz in the champagne bar before our meal. Franceska greeted us with not even a smile and poured our drinks and dumped them on the bar. We noticed that everyone who came in after us was greeted with a smile, had napkins put under their glasses and were served canapés. My husband asked her if we had done something wrong as we wasn't receiving the same service as everyone one else but her reply was "sir, I'm busy, I can't do everything " No apology or understanding. We then moved on to the Asian to enjoy our meal. Very poor service! Our drinks were forgotten and our mains was slammed on the table. I was so upset I left and went to reception and asked to speak to a manager but he couldn't be bothered to speak to me so I was told to go back the next day. The hotel & grounds are beautiful but there is zero atmosphere which really lets the hotel down. The white party wasn't on which was a shame but after speaking to the staff, they informed me that it was end of season and management couldn't be bothered. The app is a nightmare to book the al la carte restaurants so I went to reception to book the Italian only to find they hadn't booked us in. It was our last evening so I wanted to try it before we went home but we wasn't booked in and was told the restaurant was full and there's nothing they could do. After asking to speak to a manager at reception and being avoided again, the lovely guy at reception managed to get us in the Italian straight away. The management seem to hide which I find very poor. Renato wrongly accused my husband of something and made us feel extremely uncomfortable and ruined our holiday - he definitely needs training in customer relations!! Raising your voice to customers in front of other guests isn't professional. The rest of the staff at the pool bar were absolutely lovely. We hired a boat from beach bums which I highly recommend. The street food outlets were a lovely touch but the main buffet was cold so we didn'teat in there much. We booked the spa which I personally didn't think it was worth the money. The pool was cold and the whole experience didn't have the wow factor for the money we paid. The drink selection is great and the cocktails were lovely. I've previously been to Stella Island and Mayia isn't a patch Stella unfortunately. For the money we paid I really didn't think it was worth it and was furious with the rude staff who ruined it for us. The entertainment in the evening is great when it's on but the evenings when there's nothing on, it's boring. Would I recommend? Sadly not after our experience.

Arrived here for 10 days end of October . On first sight hotel lobby looked beautifull and the hotel itself . We were offered a glass of fizz each as a welcome drink . There was one person on the reception as it was after 12 midnight . He gave us our card and said your room is just over there you can walk to it no problem . As we had just arrived and were very tired after our flight being delayed I would have thought the porter could have showed us to our room as he was bringing the suitcase but no we had to fend for ourselves not a good 5 star impression . We did find our room adtwe Going round in circles a few times not what you really need at that time of night . So we had booked a deluxe sea view swim up room and on arriving we realised our sea view was blocked by a building in front . In the morning we said to reception and they were very nice and Moved us right away to a beautifull room with a great sea view . The room in itself was very modern and clean . The only thing I would say is they say the swim ups are heated they certainly don’t feel heated at all . They are very cold when you get in and You can’t spend a lot of time in them as they are so cold . Lots of their guests were saying this as well.. The food ar the hotel overall was good though wee were not a fan at all of the beef . The burgers tasted weird and the beef dish at the Italian was tough . The lamb dishes were not great either very tough my partner said . You could have other dishes like mussels and prawns etc which were lovely as were the pizzas . We preferred the a la carte restaurants to the buffet really not a fan of the food in there . Though booking the a la carte restaurants was a nightmare you has to wait till after midnight on the app to book and then you couldn’t get anything most times . We had read previous reviews and it said if you. Went to reception they booked it for you which we did and they were helpfulll and did get us in the restaurants but it spends who you spoke to as some guests told us they couldn’t get in at all . Think this system needs to be replaced . The hotel was spotless and most of the staff were very nice and helpfull . We got on the little train outside to go to Kaotori which was just a bit of fun not much there but there is little secluded beaches all around which were very nice to walk too as well. We also spent a day in Lindos which is only 20 mins away by bus which you can get outside the hotel . We climbed to the top of the acropolis in Lindos and went to St Paul’s bay which is stunning . Overall the Mayia is a beautifull hotel in a secluded area. Great if you want to just chill in luxury surroundings . Also I felt there was not enough entertainment at the hotel only three nights a week in the amphitheater so it could become a bit boring at night as there is not too much to do around the hotel . Would have liked to see tha amphitheater used more as when it was used everyone had a great time with he acts that were on dancing and singing with them . Overall the Mayia is a lovely hotel in a secluded area . Would I return . Maybe if there was more entertainment and some other improvements in other areas .

We have just returned home from a wonderful week at Mayia Exclusive resort and Spa. The facilities are immense, every need is catered for, from the quality and variety of food to the luxurious feel of the hotel to the incredibly helpful staff. Our room was large and beautifully designed, the beds are huge not to mention the well stocked mini bar. If you have booked this hotel you are in for a treat. All the staff made us feel incredibly well looked after, nothing was too much trouble, they truly just want you to have a great experience. Special mention to Tatiana on reception who was very helpful and welcoming. The private beach with inclusive snack bar was a lovely bonus not to mention the view and location to the beach. We caught the bus to Lindos and Rhodes Old Town which was a cheap and efficient way to travel and definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed some of the evening entertainment like the Beatles tribute act and the various singers. Thank you for a wonderful holiday- one to remember!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Mayia Resort and Spa. We needed a break where there was no pressure and this was achieved from the moment of arrival. Your cases are taken to your room and you are presented with a glass of bubbly. The resort was very clean throughout. The design of the place is spectacular and we managed to get some amazing photos. There were 3 shows during the week. A drifters tribute band (the golden tones) was the best but the Beatles came a close second. There was also an Il Divo tribute band on the first night which we watched from our balcony. I’m not sure the themed restaurants met our expectations, and the booking system is difficult, but what I will say is, don’t worry about it. The food in the main dining room is the best and the service incredible. A special mention must be made for Wilson who gave exceptional service and made sure my wine and tea was delivered quickly. Plates are cleared away at lightening speed. There is a huge choice too. We were disappointed by the food at the Italian particularly as I had read such rave reviews on here. The food was ok. The Asian restaurant was a bit better and the Greek probably the best. But the Waterfront restaurant exceeded expectations. You have to eat there the first three nights as you can only book the themed restaurants 3 days in advance at midnight on the app. So potentially, if you are staying for 7 nights you can booked the themed restaurants nights 4, 5, 6 and 7. We cancelled our restaurant booking for night 7 and went back to the main dining room for our final night as it was better. The swimming pool is ice cold which was fine. That probably is a nice touch when the temperatures are soaring in the height of summer. :-) I had a Cretian massage with an Aloe Vera treatment for 160 euros. This compares ok with similar resorts but expensive compared to home. The massage was ok. I had the guy. Service at the pool bar and around the pool was friendly and quick. Loved the street food area. Nice food choice for lunch and plenty of it. A special mention for the champagne bar and the Del Mar bar which was included in the all inclusive. Lots of choice of drinks and very good service, especially the young lady in the Del Mar bar! All in all a brilliant holiday. You would find it hard to criticise anything, although some people apparently manage it! Having run a boutique hotel, I can say that they are doing a good job. We spent a day in Lindos which is well worth visiting. We booked a taxi via hotel at 27 euros. A lovely driver, safe and friendly. He picked us back up and charged 25 euros for the return journey. The driver is excellent and told us the history of the region. He also stopped for photos. Kostas (+30) 6936151644 if you want to book direct. Tell him Jackie recommended him! Me and my husband are currently at Mayia - it was a choice between this hotel and Stella Island and I am so glad we chose Mayia - it is absolutely stunning. Firstly our private transfer from the airport was the bougiest transfer we have ever had - we felt very special. Just over an hours drive felt like 20 mins! Air con, water and comfort. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted the minute we stepped out of the transfer. In entering reception the smell was unreal!! I need this for my house! Staff were very attentive yet relaxed - we were offered a glass of fizz and a seat in their huge reception and within 5 mins we were presented with our key and a golf buggy came to collect us and our luggage. We booked the Premium Sea View Swim Up Bungalow and it is stunning. Very clean, serviced daily, mini bar restocked daily with premium items. Shower is lovely and the huge bed super comfortable. It is a large resort but nothing is super far - lots of stairs and slopes but there are lifts also to each level. The resort itself is so clean and constantly being cleaned even though it is reaching the end of the season. And even though end of season the resort is still in top condition. The 2 pools are huge and very clean however absolutely freezing so bear this in mind. Maybe warmer in high season when the sun is at its hottest? Would have appreciated some music around the pool for a bit of atmosphere but there is none except at the main pool bar. There is a guy servicing each pool taking drinks orders - these guys work so hard and deserved a tip each day and appreciated it too. Buffet is a very large space and the food is definitely quality over quantity but saying that there is definitely something for everyone. The other restaurants are fantastic - our favourite was the Italian but there was also the Greek and the Japanese. Booking for the restaurants are via the app and they are bookable 2 days in advance from midnight - we managed to get booked into each restaurant for dinner at least once (you can book as much as you want). The Greek and Italian are also open for lunch with no booking required. Don’t miss the champagne bar which is on the top floor with the japenese restaurant as it’s gorgeous up there with a piano guy. The staff in the whole resort are fabulous. The service at the main bar is also fantastic and they also deserve a little tip - our glasses were never empty! The only let down for us was the beach area - unfortunately it is very stoney with no sand unlike the pictures on insta! And the beach bar is a bit grubby and does not reflect the hotel in any way. The loungers were lovely and comfy (same as around the pool) but personally we felt it was a bit neglected. We did enjoy a beach walk every morning but this was all on stones and shingle and hard going! There is a bus stop just outside the back of the resort to take you to Lindos for 3 euros - we personally took a taxi into Lindos one evening, organised by reception and was 27 euros for approx a 20 min journey and Lindos is stunning (at night all lit up) it was very quite there which was nice and it is one of those must see locations. Lots of rooftop bars and restaurants and shops! Don’t miss it. All in all Mayia is a total 5 star resort and totally recommend especially end of October - the weather is amazing and the resort doesn’t feel busy at all.

Very high standards, clean with fantastic staff. Food in all restaurants is very good. Only difficulty we found this year was trying to book a la carte restaurants within 48 hours. We found them to be fully booked or almost fully booked. We would like to say a special thank you to Francesca in the Champagne bar who kept us topped up, to Vilson who looked after us in the Waterfront, to Valerios who entertained us in the Italian and finally to Poppy our cleaner of room 3005. It certainly is a beautiful hotel. When you arrive the view from reception is stunning. Our room was the most basic and was fantastic. We had a gorgeous sea view. The bed was enormous and so comfortable. It was cleaned thoroughly every day and was lovely to come back to. The bathroom was fabulous. We managed to eat several times in all the al a carte restaurants over our 2 week stay and loved them all. We also enjoyed the buffet particularly at lunch time. We spent every day on the beach which although stoney was very peaceful and refreshing to swim in once you had mastered the stones! Shoes are highly recommended! On the walk back to our room we swam in the pools which were lovely and clean. The only strange thing is no toilets on the pool level. We enjoyed all the bars particularly the champagne bar and the one by reception for a pre dinner sunset drink with stunning views. Every evening after dinner we had entertainment to watch and dance to which was great when you are a couple. The staff are so friendly and want you to have a fabulous holiday. Lindos is easy to reach by boat or bus, and well worth doing. We would have loved the hotel to be more Greek! Particularly in the evenings. Traditional Greek dancing would be wonderful once a week? The beach has a bar and serves food but there is no where to sit and eat or drink other than your sun bed which is not ideal. A covered area with tables and chairs would be perfect. We never ate at the beach because of that. Another Al a Carte would be good, another greek perhaps with a larger menu? It may help with bookings! Although we can see a few areas they could improve upon we loved it and have booked again for 2 weeks this summer.

My stay at this hotel exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and the attention to detail shown by the staff. One of the absolute highlights was the incredible variety of food options. The main buffet restaurant offered a fantastic selection of dishes, always fresh and beautifully presented. Moreover, I enjoyed the à la carte restaurants, each with its own unique atmosphere and cuisine. Service throughout the hotel was outstanding, but I want to give special recognition to Altzen at the pool. Altzen went above and beyond every day, always greeting us with a smile and ensuring we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time by the pool. It made our stay even more memorable. For those who love to stay active, the range of sports and activities is great. I want to thank the Pink Wave team, especially Chloe whose classes I really enjoyed. You should definitely try out her classes.

Not to order, so there is no selection. Food in the buffet was warm at best but more often cold. Only one place to get towels, the spa, one per person. Unfortunately, the spa doesn't open until 10 a.m., so keep your soiled towels if you're an early riser. The staff generally are lovely one or two grumps, but that's to be expected. We found three stars on the beach, David the barman, and Wilson the waiter are a credit to this hotel fantastic guys great wit and banter you managers should bevproud of these guys they made our holiday. ( The chef in the beach kitchen was great too but I didn't get his name)

The hotel is so chill and only feels half full everytime we come which we love even though it's fully booked. Altzen was superb always bringing us drinks with a smile. Shout out to Chloe also for getting us going early with the morning pool exercise sessions and Daria in the restaurant for being so pleasant with us the staff are fantastic here! Everything is quality with nice little touches everywhere. I've booked my parents to come in September and can't recommend this place highly enough to people!! The hotel was all you wanted. Large pool area , plenty of space and beds. Food in the main restaurant was very good, as was the food by the pool. Tacos and gyros on tap can be a bit dangerous though! The Italian, Greek and Asian versions were really good. The Asian was our favourite. The bars around the hotel catered for everything you needed. The Old Fashioned in pool bar was as good as i have had. The champagne bar has wonderful views and excellent wine. Main thing though was the people. Chole and the Animation Team had just the right balance of enthusiasm always happy to chat. The staff in the pool bar and champagne bar had your "usual" prepared as you arrived. Daria in the restaurant was wonderful. Space and gym facilities were brilliant. Looking to go back next year already.

This was my second visit to Mayia and last. We liked our room as we did before. We found that the mini bar people didn’t bother to restock the bar several days during our stay which was not good and housekeeping girls are not as good at cleaning as on preivous stay. Previously we had been late in the season a couple of years ago and experienced some issues with drinks not being available quite often at the bar as it was “end of season” and they were not prepared to order extra bottles in. Which was very annoying as we payed for full availability of everything that should be available to all guests all season. There was also shortage of staff at the end of the season as maybe they thought there were less guests but service was much slower than we liked, sometimes we was waiting 45 minutes for someone to take our drink order in the main bar. We had thought about going last year but friends who visited said the food was not as good as previous years so when we heard there was going to be a new head chef we thought we would take a chance and go early in the season. BIG MISTAKE. However bad the food was last year I am sure it was not as bad as it was this year. There was so many basic food items which ran out in the buffet restaurant early on in a sitting, like at evening time and there was no sign of them being re-filled and even when we asked staff at 8.15 if they will bring out more of the food that had run out they just shrugged like they didn’t care. Also this was a problem at breakfast with eggs running out. We didn’t enjoy any of the a la carte restaurants at all during this stay. And neither did we enjoy the food at the “street food” kind of area. We didn’t bother going to the beach as it’s horrible and way too pebbly to walk on. We are not confrontational or confident people so we did not complain whilst there and a few people we spoke with said they had raised the issues with management and were told it was early in the season and they were staff shortages BUT that does not help customers to tell them that does it? We payed full price to go to Mayia and we wasn’t given any discount or refund for a bad experience with the food and it was bad. It wasn’t just average or ok it was proper bad! And we was shocked that the blonde spa lady is still so aggressively trying to get people to get spa treatments and massages. We spoke to people last time who said they were hassled so much by her that they gave in and when they tried to book a massage they were told it was very busy and they could only go on the day before they were leaving and had to cancel wine tasting and it wasn't worth the price. The blonde spa lady hangs around outside the buffet like a predator and it is really off putting when you just want to go get breakfast or lunch and have to figure out how to avoid her. And she is always hanging around the pools too also hassling people who are quietly trying to sunbathe. She kept telling us and others that it’s a Royal Spa and not part of the hotel and that’s the justification for how expensive (over priced) it was but if it’s not part of the hotel, why are their so many reviews about just the spa on tripadvisor written by people who have only written just 1 review? We found that very suspicious. The champagne bar is nice although the girl serving there is nice she definately had her favourite guests that she would spend lots of time with and have her photo taken posing with them and sometimes we felt like second class guests compared to the royal treatment she was giving some others. Dunno why as we was always dressed smartly. Most of the really nice staff have left for some reason and maybe that’s why it aint as good as it used to be. Going early in the season shouldn’t mean you get poor service and poor food. Sorry Mayia you have permanently lost our custom.

We were in Mayia resort for the begging of our honeymoon and we had the “King and queen” massage which was perfect and an amazing experience. Our therapists were very professional and it was amazing. We highly recommend them! Plus- the hotel/resort is gorgeous and perfect as well.

Magden was a very great masseuse and did an excellent job. The massage was very relaxing and she was very attention, detailed. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming as well ! I would definitely recommend checking out the spa area. They have tons of meat treatments.

So this was the first time we visited the Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa. I will say that my expectations are high and there are so many great things about this hotel and they are so nearly there with it being an exceptional place to stay however there were a few things that I felt let the hotel down. The positives are: Our room was absolutely beautiful, we had booked what we feel was the best room i.e. suite with a private pool. It was clean, well designed and they even had Diptyque Shower Gel/Shampoo so they hadn't spared any expense with the little extras. Check in was easy and we were also provided with a free hotel transfer (because of the room we had booked) so again this made life easy and from the airport, the hotel is a 1 hour drive away. Front Desk Service was great, we were treated well and the whole process of checking in to being dropped to the room was a super pleasant experience. The Hotel cleanliness and design was stunning, it was all stunning and there are no complaints at all as visually this is a beautiful hotel. Facilities at the hotel were also great, 4 restaurants + plenty of other places to eat and drink, there is a gym on site (which we used daily) and the spa was also nice. Many of the staff were very friendly and you we also noticed a number of guests had previously stayed at this hotel (which is a good sign) and so I felt there was a good community where guests were recognised and valued. The Negatives: The Food: We mostly ate at the Main Restaurant as it was buffet dining which meant you could choose exactly what you want and there wasn't any wait on the food. For a 5 Star hotel, we felt the food let the site down. Dont get me wrong, it wasn't a bad however it wasn't very good either. For example, many of the dishes served at dinner was food reused that hadn't been eaten for lunch so I would say a good proportion of the food is reused and reheated and this isn't great for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast at the Buffet was we feel the best option although they used powered egg for Scrambled Egg rather than fresh (its only minor however it does make a major difference) The Italian Restaurant: We dined here once and both main meals weren't great at all, I had the Osso Buco with Gnocchi and it was Luke warm, extremely fatty, and my Gnocchi was massively undercooked (I left half). My wife had the Prawn Ouzo and again it was Luke warm and not tasty at all (again she left over half). The Service at the site wasn't great either, we were over an hour in to the meal and we had just had the starter (which were both cold starters). I ordered a glass of white white however wasn't given a choice of what wine I wanted. Service wasn't the best here as the waitress came to take our order and we hadn't even seen or been given a menu. The Greek Restaurant: In fairness we had booked for 9pm and as it was a fairly cold night so we arrived slightly earlier at 8.35pm to see if we could have our table. We were sat down early however 20 minutes in we hadn't been given a menu, asked what we wanted so we felt as though because we were there before our designated time, they would sit us down however we would just have to wait - so we didn't feel massively valued and in the end we left (without eating) as mainly it was too cold to sit outside. The Asian Restaurant: By far the best out of all 3 restaurants (Italian, Greek etc), Food was served hot, we didn't wait long and the food was fine, My wife had the Seafood Curry and I had the Sizzling Duck. Service was good too so no complaints here and the manager came out to say Hi and check that everything was OK. Overview Service: Overview the service in the hotel was good (Most staff were really lovely, friendly and made you feel welcome) however if I were to provide one tip is to do a Mystery Shopper Exercise, for example one guy serving me in the buffet didn't know how to cut a chicken from the bone, so he was trying to saw through bone (in the end I had to advise him what he needed to do) and some staff should make a little more effort i..e Greek and Italian restaurants i.e. Good evening, How are you, what to recommend etc. Again not a massive red flag however basic training on really simple things does make a difference. All in all, would we come back - Yes I believe we would as the hotel, our room was stunning and we absolutely loved our room with private pool, however if you could improve the quality of the food (not recycle too much of it for the next sitting) and just slightly fine tune some staff service, then this hotel would have completely nailed it.

We had a lovely eight days at Mayia at the beginning of May. We were looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway and this was it. It felt like paradise and we look forward to coming back. We had a swim-up room and loved it. The room: very modern minimalist. Extremely well kept. Housekeeping came by twice per day, always flexible and very nice. The room included a well stocked minibar that was refilled daily. The pool for the swim-up is shared. It's heated, but not very much. This isn't a problem if you wait until the afternoon to get in as the sun will have heated it to a very comfortable temperature. The facilities: we used the gym daily. It has everything you would expect from a hotel gym. Chloé, Kena and Ivan were fun and led various activities every day. They were always friendly, giving advice about the machines, politely correcting form or advising new exercises. The pools are gorgeous and give a lot of sun exposure, but were oddly cold. I barely spent any time in them, preferring our room's swim-up. The restaurants: we came at a time when the resort was obviously still hiring and training staff at the beginning of the season. The food was always excellent, but the service wasn't. There were times when there was only one other table aside from us and we were waiting an hour between courses. Despite this, the hosts were always attentive and apologetic. We ended up canceling most of our reservations for the a la carte restaurants, opting for the buffet instead. The food there was equally good with a broad selection, and we loved the theme nights. Don't miss the burgers from Street Food! The bars: all of the bars were great. The beach bar had nice snacks (especially the fried calamari), the main bar had a large selection, but our favorite was the champagne bar with Francesca. It has an amazing view of the hotel and beach, the best service, and live piano performances. The spa: we each had 2 services and would highly recommend them both. The Cretan massage by Dimitrios and Magda were the best massages we've ever had. I then had a facial from Dora and my partner the deep tissue massage from Christina, both also highly recommended. Stella was a fantastic host. The facilities themselves in the spa were a bit lacking compared to other resorts we've been to; the hot tub was never hot, the hammam was not yet operational, but they were still nice to visit. This was one of the best resort trips we've ever had and you won't be disappointed.

You do not need to leave the hotel, the swim up pool was perfect, the food great. The best part of this hotel are the staff, Theo who heads up the food and drink was unbelievable, nothing was too much for him. From check in to check out the staff could not do enough for you. On the beach, we had Wilson and David who were excellent and gave the best of service. I will definitely be back.

We booked this with Jet2 and had a very nice private luxury minibus transfer. We were immediately greeted at the hotel, given drinks while they checked us in. The concierge then took us by golf cart to our deluxe bungalow with seaview. Room was very spacious and fitted out with high quality furniture etc. The only moan would be the balcony only had one sunbed, and no cushions……this should be easy to fix. Its a beautiful resort, there are cleaners and gardeners everywhere keeping it spotless. We spent most of our time around the small pool where Altzen from the bar gave us excellent service with drinks all day. Although we did not participate we enjoyed watching Chloe and the active pink team doing pool yoga and various activities during the day. There was plenty of entertainment which seemed pretty good when we passed by performers. The service in the waterfront restaurant by the Maitre De and his staff was excellent. Overall the food was very good, and improved while we were there. The street food idea is good though the menu is limited. The bar by the beach imo serves much better food for lunch etc We were impressed enough to rebook next year with a swim up pool.

We stayed at Mayia Resort in May and overall had a very pleasant and relaxing experience. From the warm welcome to the spacious accommodations, it was clear that the hotel aims for a premium experience — and for the most part, they succeed. Special thanks to Daria, Gaga, and Tanya, who made our stay even more enjoyable with their friendly service and attention to detail. The reception staff and team across the resort were consistently kind and helpful. One of the biggest highlights was the all-inclusive offering. The champagne bar in particular was a great touch — we loved having access to international drinks, not just local labels. It was also our first time at an adults-only resort, and we’re now completely sold on the concept. We’ll definitely be back! The sunbeds around the pool deserve a special mention: comfortable, plenty of them, and no need to get up early to “reserve” a spot — a refreshing change from other resorts. The beds in the room were also exceptionally comfortable, and the rooms themselves were spacious and spotless. We ate in all the à la carte restaurants. The food was overall good, but some things could be improved: The buffet was solid, with a good variety of international dishes. The Italian served standard pizzas and salads — not bad, but not very exciting. The Greek restaurant was surprisingly lacking in traditional Greek options. No souvlaki or gyros, which felt odd. Wasabi, the Asian-themed restaurant, had more authentic flavors, and here again a big thanks to Gaga, the maître, who provided excellent service. Now, for some areas of improvement: Our room was located close to the housekeeping team’s meeting point. Every morning around 7 AM, we were woken up by loud talking, not the carts — just their conversations. A bit more discretion would help maintain the peaceful vibe. While the resort was very clean at the beginning, we noticed a decline in cleanliness as the week went on. Ants appeared on the walkways, which weren’t cleaned regularly. The pool water was quite cold, and hardly anyone went in — maybe because it was still early in the season, but it’s something to note. Signage throughout the hotel could definitely be improved. Information about events or themed evenings was hard to find and not clearly communicated. All in all, Mayia offers a luxurious and quiet adults-only escape, with excellent food, drinks, and facilities — but with a few details that could elevate the experience even further.

This was our third time back and we had a really lovely experience. However, there are elements of the resort/stay that have gone down. I feel 2023 was the best year! Positives: - Junior suite was in an excellent position, close to the buffet, spa and gym. We enjoyed the upgraded Molton Brown bathroom products - Able to order cocktails at the main waterfront buffet - Spa/massage excellent and friendly staff (we liked the complimentary gift they gave after our treatment) - Hotel very clean and staff friendly. Shoutout to Wilson (Splash) and Daria (Waterfront) who looked after us. - Fish theme night at waterfront was very good! Loved the counter of sashimi. I feel this counter is where the chefs can showcase their skills. - Breakfast is delicious, and love the fresh orange juice and fruit selection. - The Greek restaurant for lunch was very good! Nice lamb and seafood. I also loved the rice pudding creme brulee. - Still love the Splash beach bar and service. Negatives: - Normally on arrival in our room we would have a welcome plate of fruits or a bottle of wine. However, this was not offered and paying for a suite room this year we would have expected this. Last year we had a standard room and this was offered. - Food quality has gone down. The main buffet Mediterranean night was dissappointing and elements of the food were cold and underwhelming. Street corner food is also gone down, beef burgers were grizzly. - The asian restaurant has gone down, very busy, long waiting times, below par starters (mostly frozen starter) and less fresh seafood e.g. Sashimi, etc. Some staff were quite rude too. - It was a shame to see less day activities as there used to be cooking classes, cocktail classes and more exercise classes. Part of being an all inclusive resort there wasn't alot on for guests to get involved with. They still advertise these on ine but currently not offering. - We missed the veal burgers at the Splash bar as sadly this has been removed off the menu from the past two years. It would be good to offer some desserts/ice creams as Splash, I remember there used to be an ice cream cart. Could be nice to offer something by the beach. - The entertainment was average, its the same songs as last year. Would be nice to have new entertainment for reoccurring guests and a traditional Greek night for a more authentic experience.

This was our first visit to the Mayia. We had been recommended this hotels as an Adults Only alternative to the IKOS hotels, which we love and have holidayed in them 5 times. Booked with EasyJet when they had a flight discount and Big Sale. Great Price. Flight from Manchester arrived late Wednesday evening and through Airport Security and Luggage collection in 15mins…Taxi to the Hotel was 60mins. Hotel welcome was superbly friendly, informative and helpful. We had booked a Premium Sea-View Room 1213 and we were delighted with the panoramic view of the resort, which at night is stunningly beautiful. Despite the late arrival, Reception arrived for a cold plate of food to be sent to the room. We sat on the balcony, ate our food and watch/listened to the music from the Senso bar. Resort is daylight is even more spectacular. Large and spread out. Beautifully designed and plenty of facilities for the guests. The Hotel operates an HHotels App which allows you to book a la carte restaurants. You can book 3 days in advance. Reception very kindly booked our 1st 3 days of a la carte and then we picked up for the rest of the holiday. Some restaurants are more popular than some but having ate in all 3 of them 4 times…I can say they are all pretty special. Waterfront Restaurant is the main buffet. Morning, Lunch and Dinner Wasabi - Asian Food for Dinner Al Dente - Italian Food for Lunch and Dinner Thymari - Greek Food for Lunch and Dinner There is also a buffet comfort food area by the main pool, street food on the level by the Italian and the Beach Bar also serves food for Lunch. Some of the Street Food menus needed updated as they displayed last years menus. Pool Areas were amazing clean and great size. Amazingly by 10am there are hardly any beds taken. I have never known a resort like it. Warning the water is cold. Swim ups are heated but not the main pools. Mind you when the heat climbed to 30c cold was welcome. Again all the facilities were wonderful, but what made the holiday that bit special was the staff. It always comes down to the staff. I had noticed comments on the Facebook page saying the hotel was understaffed. I can say I didn’t notice and I suppose that was due to the core staff who were all working without days off until the Summer staff join the team. All staff were amazing. Friendly, attentive and just beautiful people. I am only listing the main staff we had daily interactions or restaurant interactions with. These people made our holiday fabulous. They have made us want to come back at the earliest opportunity despite their long hours, they always had time to talk and make us feel extra special. Thank you my Friends!! I had the deep tissue massage and it was amazing. Liel was the masseuse and she did a fantastic job on my back helping to refuse the knots. I thoroughly recommend the Spa and especially Liel if you get time to come for a treatment. The spa was very clean.

I had an amazing experience at the hotel spa in Greece. The massage was absolutely wonderful – professional, relaxing, and just what I needed. First visit to the Mayia. Did a lot of research looking for a good Adult only All Inc hotel. (Ikos is truly fantastic 5* but its not adult only and we have stopped going there). Our choice was partly determined by some 'U tubers' videos we watched. The resort of Kiotari is about 1hr 20 from airport. Reception 'Lobby ' very swish. Check in was easy and quick. We had a double sea view room. Brilliant view. Room was fine for us , apart from the bathroom door which was just opaque glass swing door? Didnt care much for that. Nice mini bar full of usual beer, wine, soft drinks, fizzy and still water, Lays crisps and peanuts. Big walkin shower and Molton Brown toiletries (full size wall mounted). Towels , bathrobes, hairdryer + another in bathroom. Food: On the whole give it 85%. We ate in the Buffet for breakfast only. And once when we arrived (it was OK) but prefer the a la cartes. Nice proper OJ and hot filter coffee in mornings. English style bread too. Good selection of everything we wanted. Service very efficient. The Maitre D keeps them all on their toes!!! Italian did lovely pizzas to order. And salads. Seafood soup was brill, steak meal a little chewy. But no garlic bread? Desserts a bit boring. Some of the meals had strange accompaniments we thought. Service was excellent however. Greek was better for lunch than dinner we thought. Meals were a little 'hit and miss. ' It was either brilliant or lacking: eg, lamb chops, moussaka,mussels with greek fries, octopus, shrimp saganaki all really vg. Pork dishes were a bit tough. Sea bass a bit bland. Service and welcome was however, great. (one night there was a real mess up however with too many guests and long waits). Asian food was mixed (mine all vg, but other half had 2 dishes not so good). No prawn crackers?? There was never any fried dumplings available, so there should have been an alternative or take them off the menu? Sizzling duck, chicken, crab salad, Haole salmon, teriyaki beef all vg. Samoan beef: bland. Pork belly :bit tough with a cold chopped tomato? Again desserts very boring. Service however was excellent. The Maitre D was brilliant. Street food was cooked to order. We enjoyed ours. Burgers, fries, taco. crepes to order. But the menu at the counter above was last years as she said to everybody. The current menu was outside. TIP: Mayia-get rid of last years menu display Information on the events schedule could be made more available. It was kinda hidden. Pools: one huge 1.5m and a smaller but still big 1.35. With lots of lovely beds. Nobody was reserving them at 'silly o clock' and towels from the 'Spa' provided. Free beach bag in the room. Everything so clean and tidy. Got a bit fed up with the 'Spa Plugger' stood outside the Buffet every day. Didnt use it at all. Beach: Not up to much. Grey gritty sand and very pebbly. Bus outside to Lindos , however it was such an overpriced tourist trap we hated it and didnt spend long there. 40 mins trip and 3Eur. Bus was busy too. Special Mention: Tasos the lovely guy who served our pool drinks every day. What a hard worker and a credit to the hotel he is. Francesca in the Champagne Bar-Runs it alone and serves, clears up, washes up, tops up your glass. All with a smile and a chat. Background live piano from 7-9 pm. Pool bar guys and the Del Mar guys made our cocktails and drinks. Super. Booked our restaurants 3 days in advance via app which worked for us. Overall a super clean, huge resort. Adult only is a huge bonus. Not much around it but there are walks and some shops to be had locally. Did the little train trip for a hour for a few euros and enjoyed that.!! The hotel ust needs a little bit of improvement to make it a truly 5* experience.

This was the most relaxing resort we have ever been to. The aqua aerobics instructor put her classes through their paces. Her classes were always well supported without the need for any canvassing. The pool bar staff were extremely attentive. Check the hotel app out for the cocktail menu. A big shout out to Francesca at the Champagne bar. All the staff were exceptional so apologies if I have missed anyone. My husband is highly gluten intolerant and Dimitri introduced him to the chefs, Vacilis, Simos and Stratos who were always on hand to guide him through the extensive food available. They were also willing to prepare something different if required. The gluten free Mousaka which was specially prepared he said was amazing. Anyone who has dietary requirements would be highly catered for here. The acts who performed at the Amphitheater were very good. We would very much like to return to the Mayia.

Just coming to the end of our week here and have to say it’s been amazing. From the very first moment we arrived, to our last lunch at the Italian in a couple of hours, has been first class. The staff are all lovely. A few standouts to mention, Tasos, Silda, Francesca, thank you. The service and smiles you gave us everyday were exceptional. But everyone was excellent and we have had a great time talking to many of you. The hotel is spotless, the food is really good and the other thing that was great, was the fact there are so many sun loungers, you don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn. We didn’t go to the pool until mid morning some days, and there were still loads to choose from. We ate at all the restaurants. All very good. So much so, we can’t really choose a favourite! The dress code in the evenings is relaxed for men, so you can wear shorts if you like. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the gist of my review. You are going to have a great time here. Thank you everyone. We have booked to come back again next year. You can be proud of what you do here.

The food is sublime. Champers simply flows in the adjacent bar. The GM is constantly checking restaurants, bars, pools and the immaculately maintained 15 Acre site, 8am to 11pm he’s a dynamo. Aqua aerobics amazing team, nothing naff, everyday a different activity and themes with props, etc. loads of professional movement activities, Pilates yoga fit ball etc. by a very professional European Franchise company. All undergraduates in sports. Outstanding. Special thanks for our fit ball instructor, Chloe, for our first ever session, that was pitched perfectly for a couple of 65+ clients. Top tip on check out, There’s an immaculate shower room x2 cubicles that can be booked for a late check out. We would return in an instant.

I had the Strong as a Castle foot massage treatment at the Spa. The range of treatments at this resort spa is very good, if a little pricey. For my particular trearment, my therapist Lia was amazing and gave me insights after the treatment which were really helpful.

Arrived via private transfer to hotel started to unpack when they earth quake hit was pretty scarey but no damage to hotel and staff seemed used to this The hotel is outstandingly beautiful the design is breath taking over looking the sea and our premier swim up room was spacious and well equipped but definitely designed by a man as there was no electric point close to a mirror to dry your hair ! The hairs dryer in the bathroom was not powerful enough . There was also no full length mirror . The bed was super comfy and the maid came daily and was really lovely and friendly . The turn down service we only received once all other times they called and 7pm just to change towels . The pool towel situation was really poor and really baffled me , never have I stayed in a 5 star hotel where you have to walk to the spa daily to change them and you are only allowed one ! The spa was a fair walk to the other side of the resort and I found this most annoying ! No pool towel in a swim up room ?! The food in the hotel is very hot and miss , the main restaurant is poor especially the salads , no tuna , no cooked meats ? Some dishes were poor at best . Greek night offered mousaka which was empty each time I tried to get some ! Some nights I ended up with just pizza ! The Asian restaurant was the best tge setting is outstanding and food was really good . Greek restaurant tge service was poor and we had almost raw pork kebabs ! The Italian was nice but tiny portions In every restaurant we had to ask for wine top ups , was never offered . The cocktails were good but put together quickly with no garnish . No coffee beans on espresso martini , no fruit garnish . Also nuts behind bar but never offered almost as if they were rationed to the staff to only give out now and again ! The champagne bar was superb and Francesca was great , other bars staff left us waiting for drinks and as mentioned no attention to detail with cocktails . The evening entertainment needs attention tge first three nights was the same group of lads who re imagined themselves , no acts brought in from overseas . The spa lady at breakfast was an annoyance and we found ourselves waiting till she was busy talking to go in to the restaurant ! Don’t appreciate that hard sell approach . Most reviews on here are spa related too ? Very odd Would I return ? No , too expensive and was all style and very little substance .

To describe Mayia in one word: perfection. We can honestly say Mayia is the best hotel we have stayed at - there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. The number of food options along with the quality - including the buffet restaurant (Waterfront) - was great. This was especially the case in the day when you are spoilt for choice. So much so, we never actually went to the buffet for lunch - favouring the snack options (All Day Comfort, Street Food Corner and Splash Beach Bar) and restaurants (Al Dente Italian and Thymari Greek) instead. In the evenings, we usually ate at the Waterfront (buffet) which was varied (we didn’t get bored) and had amazing choices. We visited all of the other restaurants with Wasabi Asian being our favourite (highly recommend). The branded drinks were great throughout the day, especially when having soft drinks (tip: you can get cans of Coca Cola from All Day Comfort should you prefer that to a bar pump). You are spoilt for choice when it comes to cocktails which were lovely in the day around the pool. We favoured the Del Mar Main Bar in the evenings since the cocktails were amazing. We would sometimes go to the Senso Pool Bar or Oinos Wine & Champagne Bar, the former more when there was entertainment and the latter when we were eating in Wasabi Asian or fancied a change. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Sea View and cannot fault it at all. We stayed for two weeks and felt we had more than enough space, plus the room was immaculate. The location of the room was great too. We were next to Waterfront along with having a lift in our block that could take us straight to the pool area. We visited the spa - not something we usually do so a little apprehensive - as part of our honeymoon package and loved it. The facial and massage were fantastic! There’s so many positives that I could highlight, but the last one that I want to point out is the staff. Everyone we encountered were incredibly friendly, particularly the lady who cleaned our room and the man serving drinks around the pool (don’t know how he does it), and made our stay even more special.

Massage was great. Lia and Veronica were really kind, gentle, very welcoming and overall great. Very friendly, which contributed to an amazing experience. Very relaxing, would highly recommend and would definitely come back to use again!

Nice selection of wine and other premium drinks Buffet food good quality and choice. Italian had more choice this time than previous visits and had a good selection lunch and evening. We felt that the Greek menu was dramatically different and not much choice if you don't particularly like fish. We absolutely love Greek food and like to order a selection of starters rather than a main but there just wasn't enough to choose from. The food quality was beautiful though. We are visiting again in July and would really love there to be more selection on the Greek menu. Cant wait to come back.

My wife and I visited the Mayia 9/6 for seven nights,we arrived fairly late approximately 9pm reception said they would complete our booking in while we went to the restaurant for something to eat & drink which we did as the restaurant would be closing at 9.30 the food even at this late time was fantastic 👍,we went back to reception and was then taken to our room which was room 1225 in the main hotel,lovely modern room with a fantastic view we dropped our cases and went straight to the champagne bar where we were met by the lovely Francesca who promptly gave us a lovely glass of bubbly which never seemed to empty,the champagne bar then became our pre & after dinner drinks for the seven nights and Francesca was brilliant every night & made our stay extra special, the food was excellent every where, the bars superb, special to all the boys& girls who work at the pool bar they are fantastic people, I agree the beach is a let down, but the pools are truly great,all the entertainment was fantastic& we had a great time dancing the night away at the white party, my wife had a 70 minute massage which was also brilliant, thanks again everyone at the mayia for making our holiday truly one to remember, I am sure we will be back.

If you are a beach lover then likely you should miss this one out, beach for us was unusable as just too rocky, we did know that but a little more than expected. Drinks for an all inclusive were on the better side than many we have been to, however food was only average overall. Lunch in the Italian and Greek were very good. Staff in both very attentive. You do have to work hard to get bookings, my best tip is if you get the more difficult one in reception, try another time, other members were very helpful. We did have to eat in the buffet twice, the food is over cooked and bland and really just something to eat. It does let the hotel down. Maybe it’s just because it was June, but many there were badly bitten, lots of biting midges. Make sure you take bug sprays etc etc..

First of all, the staff at the hotel are absolutely impeccable. The guys at the pool, particularly Altzen and Renaldo, are to be, especially praised. However, all the staff throughout the hotel are an absolute credit to the brand and the hotel. The room was absolutely beautiful and immaculately cleaned, as was the exterior and interiors of the building. Air conditioning effective and welcomed. Absolutely zero complaints. However, the food. Excellent in the Greek, which was fresh and excellently presented. To much lesser extent, the italian speciality resteraunt was pretty good. The rest, absolutely mediocre. Frozen gyro meat in the beach bar, overcooked/heated food throughout the main buffet, for all meals irrespective of time. The street food area did do some nice salads and sandwiches. However, unless you like bbq flavours, the burger part is a waste of time. If you do, it's average at best. As a summary, it's a beautiful hotel with amazing staff. The beach area is not good unless you like walking on stone. Great drinks offered, very average food on the whole.

From the moment we checked in, to the moment the taxi arrived to take us back to the airport to go home, we had an amazing time at this fabulous hotel. We stayed for 12 nights at the beginning of May in a Deluxe room with swim up and sea view. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. They go the extra mile, and this made us feel extremely valued as guests. They genuinely want you to have everything you need to enjoy your holiday to the fullest. I wish I had been able to take a note of more names, but these are some of the staff members who made us smile on a daily basis, and made our stay at Mayia so enjoyable: Katerina and Renaldo in the Del Mar main bar - they were so friendly, and made us the best cocktails. Thank you for all the fabulous White Russians, and for making us laugh and smile in your company every day 😊 Renato - who was everywhere, and always greeted us with a smile and a joke. Thank you for all your cocktail inventions, Renato specials! 😊 Theo, with hair (his words, not mine!!!) - amazing. Every time we saw him, he seemed happy to see us, and always stopped for a chat, and to ask us for feedback on our stay. He was genuinely keen to find out if there was anything that the hotel could be doing better, to make our stay more enjoyable 😊 Melina on reception - what a star, always helpful and friendly. In fact all the staff on reception were very professional and very friendly 😊 We had an issue with the turndown service one evening, and this was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Sasha and Daria (Dasha!) in the Waterfront main restaurant - always greeted us with a smile and showed us to the best tables 😊 Francesca in the Champagne bar - does an amazing job running the bar largely by herself. Always keeps your glasses topped up, and always remembers which champagne you are drinking! 😊 The housekeeping lady who cleaned our room (1008) in the mornings - she was brilliant, did a great job, and was always very friendly and accommodating 😊 I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. I agree with some of the comments in recent reviews about the food and service in the restaurants. Here is our feedback: Waterfront - overall the food quality could definitely be improved, and the theme nights didn’t make a lot of sense to us. On fish night, there was simply one whole salmon available on the cooking station, but all the other food was the same or similar to every other night. It would have been nice to see some proper seafood on offer; prawns, crab, even lobster (it is a 5 star hotel after all!) Powdered scrambled eggs at breakfast was also quite disappointing. Our main gripe however, was with the drinks service. Many times we either didn’t receive the wine we’d ordered, or received the wrong one! It’s a shame we had to rely on wine being served only by the glass. If you enjoy wine with your meal, as I do, having to attract someone’s attention to get a second glass, proved to be difficult at busy times. A suggestion from me would be to offer wine by the bottle, particularly during the evening dinner service. I feel that would be more in keeping with a 5 star hotel. Thymari - very enjoyable, both at lunch and dinner. Huge portions, lovely food and excellent service. Al Dente - enjoyable, both at lunch and dinner. The service was a little slow, particularly at lunch time, and the wine orders were a bit haphazard! The pizzas are huge! A suggestion from me would be to reduce these in size, particularly at lunchtime, to save on wastage. Wasabi - very enjoyable. The food was lovely, and you could get your own drinks from the Champagne bar, if required. We went twice during our stay, and would have liked to go one more time, but it was very difficult to get a reservation. Try and book an earlier time slot, as if you have a later sitting, some of the items on the menu become unavailable, particularly on the shared starter platters. All Day Comfortable restaurant - great! Just what we needed as an alternative to the buffet restaurant during the day. Strangely, it was only here that served proper Greek flatbreads with the lamb, duck or chicken that was available daily. The young man who looks after the restaurant, and serves you your drinks was fabulous. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. Street Food Corner - it was really brilliant having this area as an option for food/snacks. We ate here for a late lunch a couple of times, and the food was of a high standard. The ice cream was gorgeous! The cakes too! Later in the day some of the items became unavailable e.g. the Korean burgers, so it’s best to go early in the afternoon to avoid disappointment. I agree with other reviewers who suggest the hotel should sort out the outdated signage and menus. Surely this could have been up and running in time for the new season! Splash Beach Bar - Did not use, as we’re not really beach people! Everywhere in the hotel is kept super clean, and there is a lovely ambient scent in the reception area. We had no issues with our room. It had everything we needed. The swim up was fabulous, and we used it most days. The sun leaves the patio area around 1pm, so it’s best to get your swimming in during the morning. The water temperature was quite cold, but bearable once you were in! It was a nice touch having the mini bar in the room restocked daily with water, wine, beer, soft drinks, crisps and nuts. In summary, we had a really special holiday. We are still talking and thinking about it now, nearly 5 weeks later! When taking all my comments into consideration, it has to be borne in mind that we visited in early May, not long after the hotel had reopened for the new season. There were bound to be a few teething issues, training new staff etc., but I have every confidence that these will be being addressed by the management team. In fact they may already have done so. This is a quality hotel, with quality staff, quality rooms, quality facilities, a quality environment and an obvious desire to provide high standards for their guests. We cannot wait to go back, and in fact we have already booked again for next October! Thank you so much Mayia! We are very much looking forward to seeing you again next year 😊

But nice food some of the sauces were a little overpowering. Greek A La Carte 10/10 the best restaurant at the hotel! Flawless. Italian A La Carte lunch 10/10 dinner 9/10. Champagne bar 7/10 pretty but found it a little dull maybe for an older audience. Main Buffet restaurant Breakfast 8.5/10 Dinner 3/10. We are just not buffet style guests it’s not for us. Quality not up to our standard, lots of choice though. Snack shack and coffee shops all included in payment of hotel. 9/10. Slow but great service. Drinks 10/10 premium brand alcohol. Every single member of staff is so helpful. But I need to mention the staff members that go above and beyond Sidorella Who makes me my large Americano in my bodum cup every morning. It is so welcomed after my gym workout. Then there is the wonder Al and Francesca who are just amazing. And Masha who makes me more coffee and my chamomile tea at night. We had 10 nights at Mayia for our Silver wedding anniversary. Staying 22/6. - 2/7 We booked through British Airways flying out of Gatwick Transfers - were also booked via British Airways with T4A which were very easy to find. We arrived late so decided one a private transfer, our drivers were great both ways. Check in - we arrived about 10pm. Lovely friendly welcome and offered water and a drink from the bar. They booked us into the Italian for a late dinner, and showed us to our room where we left our bags then went to find the restaurant. It was a very small menu but was perfect for late arrivals Room - we had a deluxe room swim up in the main building, room 1024. It was fairly close to the bar area and we were a little worried about privacy but it was absolutely fine. Our swim up room had sun until about 1.30-2pm on the terrace however the pool of the swim up has sun until later in the afternoon. Room was spotlessly clean, mini bar refilled daily there is a turn down service done nightly, but we chose not to have it and put the 'do not disturb' on once we came back in from the day so can’t comment on that service. We would leave a tip in the mini bar and if we wanted anything in particular like extra coke or Beer we left a message for him. Plenty of storage in the rooms, but not many hangers, I called reception and asked for extra 10 which were delivered promptly. Swimming pools - we didn’t use them they looked lovely, however when we came down from swim up pool there were no beds available in the sun just in the shade so we spent most of our time down at the Beach. Beach - The beach is a mix of gritty sand and pebbles, Take beach shoes if you want to go in the sea. The sea is so clear and was calm for 8 days out of the 10 we were there. We also have to mention Wilson from the beach bar, he is a credit to the hotel - always happy remembers what you drink he definitely made our days at the beach. Bars - couldn't fault any of them, Al at the main bar makes a mean Mojito which was great. Restaurants- ate in them all. The booking system does open at midnight for the next 3 days. We liked the Asian the best and should mention Ionela what a fabulous waitress. We thought the buffet was superb The food is some of the best variety I've seen in any all inclusive’s and Santino couldn’t do enough for you always smiling. Entertainment - we found this fairly lowkey here the main entertainment was cover bands which were fairly good, they also had a white party. Airport - A lot better than I expected. We had a 9pm flight, and we arrived at departures at 6.30 expecting queues but we were through in 20 mins, lots of cafes and bars. The weather- Was unusually hot, so thankful for the swim up pool and the sea The mozzies - we sprayed deet and wore bracelets every night but still got a few bites but there were people who had awful bites all up their legs Spa - Shout out to Stella who works on the hard sell, but can get you a good discount so if you want a treatment best talk to her first. I had a couple of treatments. The holy grail facial and the aloe body treatment both were amazingly done by Aposfopia I was a bit dubious with regard to the spa, as there have been some spa only reviews on here and find it hard to believe that you would review the spa and not the hotel!

Crepes were so tasty and a personal fave of mine. Beach food bar was also great and had great food to choose from would be better if they added those food options to the street food in the hotel also. Special thanks to Tassos who kept us hydrated all week lovely hardworking man, I must say the frozen mango and raspberry cocktails were most definitely my go to drink and were fabulous. Sessy who came round and cleaned sung glasses was always happy and a friendly chap, also the young lady with the really long hair so sorry I didn’t get your name who served us at breakfast with our drinks what a hardworking, polite and friendly young lady. Evening entertainment was good however it’s a shame there wasn’t something on every night at the amphitheatre however there was a club you could go to. Pool bar I found didn’t have enough seats to accommodate everyone especially if there was music on. All in all a fantastic relaxing holiday and I can’t wait to be back at this hotel again in the near future ❤️

Apostolia and Christina were both very welcoming to us and extremely personable! I have lots of massages at home however, the ones at home do not compare to the ones at Aegeo Spa at the Mayia Resort. This massage was next level! Christina did my massage and she was incredible, she ensured to focus on areas that needed it and made the experience so relaxing for me. We stayed here as a couple in June and the all the fantastic reviews are accurate. The hotel looks amazing and is spotless. The check in is seamless and you are then given a tour of the grounds on the way to your room. We had a premiere bungalow suite swim up in Block 7 and it was unbelievable. Very private, spotless and cleaned every day with maxi bar filled with drinks and sweets. Don’t rush to the pool. Beds are always available. Only did the buffet once and was good. Italian for lunch is lovely, Wasabi for dinner is amazing and we did that twice. Greek was also good on an evening. Street food corner has amazing ice creams and cakes. The champagne bar was great before dinner and after for that matter. All bars are very good and staff are so friendly and work very hard often swapping between bars and restaurants. The bar manager was friendly and clearly cared for all his staff. A guy came round the pool every day asking for drinks as did an ice cream cart. There was even a cocktail of the day brought around the pool. We will definitely return!

We stayed at Mayia Resort after a disappointing all-inclusive resort last year that made us wonder if it was for us, and we’re so glad we did. We felt so at ease from the moment we arrived, all the staff were so friendly and seemed happy to be there which gave the whole resort a really relaxed atmosphere. Everything really did feel luxurious and we’re so happy we booked this hotel. The pools were always at a good temperature and the options for different food and drinks throughout the day were excellent. The main buffet was good quality and all of the restaurants were delicious. Having the option to have lunch at two of the three sit down restaurants without needing to book in advance was great. The The beach is beautiful and the excellent service extends down onto it. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and feel very private. The spa (we didn’t do any massages or extras, just used the available facilities) is absolutely excellent and we found it was always a nice way to end a day in the sun. On the whole, it is a beautiful hotel and that really contributes to the luxury feel. Every single staff member made us feel welcome and provided excellent service, we wish we’d remembered to note down more names but we wanted to mention the below: Silda - Silda at the main bar served us most evenings and was so attentive, friendly and fun. We really felt she deserved a mention for being such an asset to the hotel. Sesay - Sesay was very friendly and had such a positive personality it was impossible not to chat to him when he came over to clean our sunglasses (which he did so excellently!) Katarina - We only met Katarina on our last day as we went to the main bar in the afternoon before our pickup. We were sad to be going home but she her service was so great we stopped thinking about it and really enjoyed our last hour or so in the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making this such a memorable stay, we’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is amazing overall. It is very relaxed and peaceful. Staff is amazingly friendly. There are a lot of options for food. Main buffet is also good for the food, we especially love the desert there. The cocktails on the main bar is very good. We went to spa for couple massage and it was excellent! We were able to relaxed. The overall spa staff were friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed even though this was our first time. Especially Greta and Apostolia were excellent, they guided us in every step and the massage therapy they provided was excellent. We will definitely go to another session before we leave. I recommend everyone to try while they are there.

In one word - WOW ! This was our second time at this hotel. We had an awesome weekend. The staff are super friendly, the facilities are wonderful, the room was great and the food was out of this world ... I can't wait to be back !

We arrived via private transfer very late but were welcomed by a lovely porter. Quick check-in, then taken to our room. Our room was beautiful, very clean and modern. We were near the lounge bar but had no problems. Very nit picking, but there could have been a music or radio station on the TV, only sky news. But I'm not there to watch tv. The view from our balcony was amazing and looked across the resort straight to the sea. We tried all the restaurants, our favourite was the Asian. But in each restaurant the staff were very attentive and worked really hard. Shout out to Sasha in the main restaurant. She was lovely. The pool area was beautiful, very clean, and the sunbeds were very comfortable. The bar service was brilliant Al, and Ronaldo did a grand job. They worked very hard in the high heat. The health bar did great pokie bowls for lunch. Evening entertainment was good, the white party was fun. But repeated each week. I do feel that the food lets this beautiful hotel down. The food was luke warm or cold, even when they just opened. I'm not a pickle eater but did struggle some days. We did have a wonderful holiday,we paid a lot of money as was for our silver anniversary but We have been to other hotels which are better and we would give 5 stars too. But this one only gets 4 stars. The journey back to the airport was quite frightening, the driver wasn't very happy as there was traffic he drove quite erratically and the van was not very Indulgent.

Just returned after a week at Mayia and wow. It really exceeded all expectations! The moment we arrived a warm gentleman approached to welcome us and take our bags as we checked in and during check in we were offered a drink. We were early for check in but the team worked hard to get us in our room as quickly as possible - to be honest we weren’t expecting to get out of the airport as quickly as we did so we were at least an hour earlier than planned. Drink in hand we take a moment to breathe and wow - the view from reception and the main bar were nothing short of stunning. To be honest the view from most places in this hotel is incredible. Once the room was ready, the lovely gentleman who originally took our bags escorted us to a buggy and took us and our luggage to our room. I booked a Premier Bungalow Swim Up Suite (6001) and it looked exactly as the pictures (thankfully). Lots of room and a sofa to sit on as well as an arm chair - it’s nice to sit on something other than a bed. I had contacted the hotel before our arrival to organise balloons for my husbands 40th birthday (FYI not for free, but the price was no different than what you’d pay in the UK) and with the balloons they also left a delicious mini birthday cake, some macarons and a fruit platter. If you are planning to celebrate a special occasion whilst at the hotel I totally recommend contacting them directly prior to your arrival, they do offer a range of special services (at a fee) to really put the cherry on the cake. Room: The room was cleaned every day inc turn down service and the maxi bar replenished daily (lays, Tony’s chocolate, haribo, nuts, crackers, a few alcoholic miniatures, a couple of beers, a small bottle of white and red and an array of soft drinks and water). The bathroom had everything you could need; toothbrush, mini tube of toothpaste, shaving kit, shower cap/sewing kit, shower puff/sponge, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There was also a complimentary beach bag - a fantastic idea! Bath robes and slippers. My only tiny gripe which is insignificant in the grand scheme of things is that I wish there were more hangers in the wardrobe. The terrace was spacious, comfortable loungers, seats with a table and the swim up pool heated. I completely understand the swim up pool is a shared spaced but we were one of the corner rooms, which is was obviously desirable. So much so we often found other guests at our feet when we’re trying to relax on our terrace. Thankfully this stopped happening within the first 2 days otherwise this would have been a problem. On the morning we were leaving, we called reception and asked if we could have help with our bags and within less than 5 minutes the lovely man from reception arrived and took us with our bags to reception in the trusty buggy. Food: The main buffet restaurant has an abundance of variety, I struggle to comprehend that anyone would have trouble finding something they’d like to eat at this restaurant or call it “samey” or “boring”. Every day there was station that did specials, one night I noticed fresh seafood prawns and oysters etc (I can’t eat shellfish and molluscs but it looked great), they had sushi one night, bao buns another. There was plenty of seafood dishes on offer as well as meat like lamb chops, pork and chicken dishes and some offerings for the beige buffet brigade (plain pasta with some sauces, chips and a fresh pizza station as well as a selection of fresh breads and cold meats). I was pleased to not find a chicken nugget in sight at the main restaurant. We also ate at the Greek restaurant and Wasabi the Japanese restaurant - both 10/10. We never tried the Italian because we simply could not get a reservation the whole time we were there, so with its popularity in mind I imagine it’s pretty good too! To be honest, I heard it being mentioned that availability to book goes up at midnight but when I’m on holiday I’m not glued to my phone at midnight trying to book myself in to a restaurant - I’m having fun or I’m asleep. But it might be worthwhile the hotel considering limiting the how many times people can book al a carte restaurants per week they have booked because it would have been nice to try all of the restaurants with a little less effort involved. The street food section was fabulous, so much choice, I loved the Naples Sandwich from the healthy bits. The pool bar food offerings were also very good! Bars: We found ourselves generally at the Main Bar, with the best cocktails from Heo! When we were at the pool bar for entertainment, it was generally really busy so we found ourselves ordering “normal” drinks but my only critique is the amount of vodka they put in our drinks at the pool bar, goodness me, it was almost bordering undrinkable. I’m not looking to get paralytic on holiday! However that aside, the bar staff all work exceptionally hard, you’d see some of the staff from the night before doing the morning shift the next day. The prosecco served here is just lovely, very easy to drink. Entertainment: A real mix of entertainment but I’m not sure who the hotel are trying to appeal to? It was ok, but nothing I would write home about, except the band the pop/rock band were great! The white party seems to be hyped up but why not make it an actual party, 21:30-01:00 DJ set with either the violinist or saxophonist for up to an hour and then just a DJ to keep the party going. The entertainment at the white party felt like I was at a primary school production and its so unnecessary because people do generally just want to have a little drink, a little dance and maybe a sing song to let their hair down. Also music at the bars in general, can we just get the Spotify hot 100 playing in the background for some atmosphere? Doesn’t need to be loud and obnoxious just a little something in the background that isn’t the same 5 songs on repeat. BO Nightclub - has potential - DJ played some great music but when you call something a nightclub, it’s likely scaring away a lot of people so therefore it’s underutilised. Pool: We are not people that are getting up at stupid o’clock to reserve a sun bed and thankfully we never had to worry about it. We’d go to breakfast and have no problems getting a sun bed before 10am but there are plenty of people reserving sun beds, it’s the ones who obviously want to sit in the exact same place everyday - embarrassingly so and to be honest I wish the hotel would whip all the towels off because once a few people start doing it, the sheep follow. The gentleman who single-handedly does the pool bar service is a credit to the hotel, he is such a nice man and goodness knows what his step count is at the end of the day but he works hard for his money. Spa: We had a Spa day during our stay, we used to the pool, the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and ice shower and then I had a full body scrub, Cretan full body massage and aloe vera moisturising treatment and it was just fabulous. I noted people in reviews stating the treatments are expensive but I think they’re very much a similar price point in the south of England. I thought 240 euros was very reasonable for the 3 treatments I had and it equated to around 2hrs of treatment time. My only sadness was not booking a facial too! After my treatments it was lovely to retreat back to the swim up room and finish our day there. Shop: On site shop has so many lovely bits and souvenirs as well as essentials - we spent a fair bit on stuff to take home on our last day. Tipping: It’s not mandatory to tip and no one expects you to tip either, but we did tip where the service was exceptional and deserved which is no different than what we would do at home. Overall, this hotel really does tick all of the boxes. We’ve been looking online for our next holiday and we’re struggling to find anywhere that compares - so Mayia may very well see us back next year to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! Apart from a few minor gripes it really was an incredible and relaxing stay.

From start to finish the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The decor and architecture give a very high end feel throughout with the sublime staff who cannot do enough for you. Wilson in particular at the beach bar was constantly attending for drink refills and always went above and beyond to give me and my partner the best experience possible. The restaurants on offer were good (especially the Asian) with stunning views of the ocean. We found the only downside was that there wasn’t really much around the complex which did require taxi rides to venture out. I would highly recommend renting a boat for the day, the ocean water is something else! As we were staying at the hotel we were able to take supplies from the beach bar in a cooler which was also a lovely touch. We even got to experience a blood moon for the first time, with stunning views which was something in itself!

The staff are lovely and it’s probably the cleanest hotel we’ve ever visited! Our room was serviced daily in the morning and again in the evening with turn down service. The fridge was restocked daily and we really liked the restock of snacks in the room. Something we feel which really lets the room down is the lack of a smart TV and English speaking channels. It’s baffling how this is a luxury resort but you have the most basic of TV’s. We never had issues with getting a sun lounger. We LOVED how comfortable they were and also loved the at-pool service with drinks. The entertainment in the evening is geared more towards the older generations. That being said we did attend a few evenings and it was enjoyable. They use branded drinks at the bars which is great. Also their cocktails are some of the best that we’ve ever had. We found the cocktails at the pool bar better than the main bar. The food is of the highest quality. You can clearly tell the food is home made. I will say if you are very fussy (like myself) you may struggle for options. That being said breakfast (American Style Buffet) was incredible! Some nights were better than others option wise. We dined a night at the Asian restaurant and a night at the Italian restaurant. To be honest we were a bit underwhelmed. Don’t get me wrong the quality of the food was top class however their options are VERY limited. Also pre warning, they do not give you menus so you need to look ahead on the app to make your choices. The street food was great. Fresh crepes made to order, the highest quality ice cream and the best chicken wings!! We did a treatment each at the Spa. Both of us enjoyed however a few issues. Upon booking I asked for a female therapist however when I got there it was a male therapist. This didn’t really bother me (he did a great job) however I can imagine for some women this may make them feel very uncomfortable. Also at the end of the treatment you are then asked to write a trip advisor review. When I explained I did not have my phone with me to do so they weren’t so happy. We have been to numerous spas in hotels before and never ever have we been asked to write a trip advisor review afterwords. They are VERY pushy for sales in the spa. When staying in a 5 star resort I wouldn’t expect to be harassed every time I leave breakfast or by the pool multiple times a day. Do not get me wrong she was lovely however it was a bit much. We’ve stayed in 4 star hotels with spas and they’ve never done this. We would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a luxury get away. If you are looking for a hotel with a bit more to do in the area I would recommend looking more towards the town, for this reason we probably wouldn’t return in the future.

We are coming to the end of our 8 night stay here, which is the second time we have visited the hotel as we were also here in 2024. Yet again we have had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel to couples or families with older children who are looking for a relaxing stay. Lots of positives: - Drinks service round the pool has been improved since 2024 and is very good - The choice of drinks/cocktails are excellent and there is a wide range to suit all needs - No long queues for drinks - A La Carte meals whether at lunch or dinner have been very good, there is enough choice to satisfy differing tastes. Wasabi is the stand out a la carte for us - Oinos Champagne Bar is a must to visit, amazing service, lovely setting with piano being played. Perfect for a pre or post dinner drink - No need to rush for a sunbed, many free until around 10.00am each day A couple of negatives/niggles: - The A La Carte menu selection is not as good as the previous year, if you haven’t been before you wouldn’t notice this, I notice it as a return visit - The mini bar in the room is not refilled with wine, peanuts, haribos each day - you have to continue to speak to reception for this to happen which is frustrating - Evening entertainment is not as good as previous - this could be a personal preference. The Drifters were good, but others were not so great.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel design and view were absolutely stunning. Reception and welcoming staff were so kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and well designed. But unfortinately, room cleaning service was not efficient. Our room was not cleaned by the staff after we come back from beach to our room. I had to call reception again and asked for cleaning. The beach was small and full of gravels and it made it impossible to enjoy the sea. Restaurant was efficient but waiters were rude and reluctant to please guests. When we asked to clean former used table, they denied and tried to have us sit on tables inside rather that on balcony with good view. We also observed that hotel stuff were not happy and we easly recognize it. Snack bars and beverage bars were good and staff were so kind and helpful. Pools were also amazing and we had fun.

The positives: - The hotel is truly wonderful, with a vague Middle Eastern architecture feel, reminded us of some Dubai resorts. - Our room was very spacious and offered every comfort. - The animator team were great. A big shout out to Chloe, with whom we have had wonderful aquagym sessions in the morning. Chloe is very professional, patient, empathetic, and a great team member. We truly loved her. - The best dining options were the Italian and the Asian restaurant, with decent quality food. - Even if remotely located, the hotel is well connected with a bus stop right in front. - The sea views are spectacular and the two huge swimming pools are very well kept. The negatives: - The blond lady from the SPA literally harassing guests multiple times at the pool, at breakfast, at lunch. Very pushy and incredibly rude if you don't buy the 200 euro massage. Indeed, towels are to be collected and returned at the SPA, which gives her another harassment opportunity. When we told her politely we were not interested in a massage, she became very rude and told us we could only get one set of beach towels per day to make a single change very difficult. The SPA blond lady was the worst experience at the hotel. - The Greek restaurant was very disappointing both in terms of food quality and service. It's a pity, we were expecting more from a Greek hotel restaurant. - The life guard and some of the bar tenders at Senso pool bar were just interested in making inappropriate comments and hitting on girls. - In general, it would have been nice to have a much more Greek experience. It sometimes felt as if we were in Dubai - The quality of the food was underwhelming. Not bad, but definitely below 5 stars. - There was no porter helping with luggage, both at arrival and departure. - Staff seemed rather unmotivated. Not incentivized to do their best and honestly overworked. There was just one person going around a huge pool with the drinks. He was unbelievably great and professional but did the job of 3 people.

We booked 3 nights, child free, for a relaxing get away in the sun. We got exactly what we hoped for and more. The hotel is spectacular, the views are stunning and the staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our room, a "deluxe double room with sea view and balcony", is spotlessly clean, stylish and well stocked with luxury toiletries and snacks and drinks included in the all inclusive package. Every time we sit down whether in on of the lounge areas or by the pool it's only a few minutes before someone offers to get us a drink. The food on offer in the main restaurant is an incredible selection, the only challenge we have faced has been deciding what to eat. We booked our evening meals in the a la carte restaurants on arrival which was well worth doing and enjoyed Greek and Italian means at sunset. We easily found available sunbeds by the pool around 10am, there are two large pools with plenty of space for swimming and relaxing. What a great holiday, thank you Mayia!

Honeymoon of a lifetime. We cannot recommend this resort enough. We especially fell in love with the Italian restaurant Al Dente where the food was exceptional and the wonderful Alexandra who works there made it even better. Already looking forward to coming back soon 🤍

My husband and I received couples massages and Christine and Aris where our therapists, and wow they were amazing! We felt absolutely relaxed and calm following our massages - what a wonderful experience. 10/10 recommend!
