Couldn’t have asked for a better week in Mauritius. An hour’s transfer from the airport and we were at Lux Le Morne. Sheltered by the Brabant looming behind, Lux Le Morne is an ideal stay. Sandy beaches, turquoise sea and tasteful surroundings are the order of the day. We stayed half board and found the huge buffet breakfast and plentiful evening meal was enough for us. We ate at both East (Thai) and The Beach House (Italian) whilst we were there which offered table service, bringing a bit of variation to the (high quality) buffet evenings at The Kitchen. Special mention to Hurvind the catering manager for sorting out our evening bookings in advance and being contactable on WhatsApp when we wanted to change some timings. Swimming pools were great but we spent most our week on the sun loungers on the beach. We had two treatments at the Spa which were both excellent too. All in all a classy, high quality resort with friendly staff, excellent food and stunning surroundings.

We had an amazing culinary experience at Kawai, the Japanese restaurant. It wasn’t just the delicious food crafted by the talented chef, who was incredibly kind to us, but also the exceptional service from the entire team. Their professionalism was evident from beginning to end. We will definitely return!

We had the most memorable stay at Lux Le Morne. The hotel was amazing with the best view overlooking the water as you walk into the reception and being on the south-west of the island, you get the most amazing sunsets each evening which we enjoyed from the beach, hotel bar & restaurant areas. Our room was clean and had a great ocean-view which was amazing to wake up to each morning. The resort was well designed and right on the beach which means we were able to walk around the hotel easily and make the most of the beach access during our stay. Also more than enough sunbeds to use which meant we didn’t have to rush down in the morning to reserve a spot for the day! There were lots activities running during our stay which we didn’t make use of, however the gym was well equipped with dumbbells and machines to keep us active and it was well cooled which was needed during the humid afternoons. There are a few places to eat on the resort, we mainly had the buffet in the mornings & the main resturuant in the evening which had a different theme each night. Similar to some of the reviews, breakfast service getting coffees was quite slow there were a few occasions where we had to remind the team of our order and ended up waiting 10+ minutes for the coffee to arrive. We also had two meals at the beach resturuant which were more intimate but the food and service was amazing - the valentines meal was particularly memorable (the team also had run a bath & provided us with champagne in our room for the evening while we were out to dinner, which was an amazing way for us to end the evening!) It was the most amazing and memorable week and we really didn’t want to leave. The staff throughout our stay were very accommodating and friendly with them genuinely taking an interest in the guests. My partner and I were there for a (surprise) engagement so I wanted to mention Bianca & Manie who helped me plan and arrange the most memorable experience for my partner and I. I also want to give a special mention to Hemant & Vyshee who helped plan an amazing beach photoshoot of our engagement as well as preparing a surprise drink & sunset drone photoshoot. Hemant was so helpful suggesting the perfect location to do the proposal so a huge thanks to Hemant and the whole team who made it the most memorable experience.

We spent 8 glorious days here on an all inclusive basis. Easy transfer from the airport through Trailfinders. The room was spacious, clean and with the most fabulous bed and a huge bathroom. Perfect views of the beach from our spacious and comfy balcony. Loved the dressing room! We had a problem with our fridge but this was soon dealt with. The food was exceptional, we ate at the ‘kitchen’ and ‘the beach’ and the service was impeccable in both. A huge thank you to Annunto and Paul for my ginger and lemongrass tea in the morning and for your attention and smiling faces at every meal. The beach was pure white sand and speckled with coral. Fabulous sun beds and the staff on the beach were great too. The guys at the boat shed were great and we had fun on the snorkelling trip, paddle boards and kayak. Thank you too to Hans for your daily check in. The Spa is so luxurious, a very special treat, thank you Ashok. It’s worth reading all about the resort before going as it can be easy to miss things. Can’t wait to return next year on the way to Australia for our son’s wedding!

We chose Lux Le Morne for holiday of a week in January. Lux Le Morne is an exceptional luxury resort on the South-Western tip of the island, with beautiful Le Morne mountain looming on one side and a white crescent of sandy beach on the other side. The junior suite rooms in colonial style are large, have heavenly beds, overlook the beach and even have an outdoor shower. The restaurants are all good with a special mention for the romantic Beach Restaurant. Service is outstanding. We were so well taken care of , in particular by charming general assistant manager Yogesh, super competent and helpful Hurvind at the main restaurant and cheerful Audrey at the Beach restaurant. We will definitely come back.

This was a great resort. Gorgeous setting, beautiful beaches and excellent dining options. The staff are a standout - too many to cite individually but every single person we had the pleasure of interacting with went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We will nevertheless mention a few individuals who really made our stay superb: Jai - an extremely competent, intelligent and very likeable young man who served us at the East restaurant on multiple occasions - Lux if you are reading this I expect you are already aware that Jai can easily move to roles with even greater responsibilities, Chef Suksan who prepared elegant, balanced, and succulent meals at the East restaurant on 3 occasions - my wife and I know Thai cuisine very well, and this was some of the best we have eaten, Vincent was a very capable yoga instructor, Brigitte, Adele, Anuunta were also excellent staff in the Beach and main restaurants, and finally Noush in the conciergerie was a great help to us on several occasions. The only person I did not remember the name of is the main bartender - excellent cocktails and very friendly. All in all difficult to fault Lux, and we liked that we were supporting a Mauritius owned and run resort chain. The location is great for people looking for a more relaxed vibe, and the setting underneath Le Morne is awesome to look at every day.

It was the second time we spent our holidays in Lux Le Morne. Fortunately the standard is still very high. Though the hotel was fully booked, we never got the impression that it is crowded. The hotel and beach area is spacious, tidy and very relaxing. Rooms are perfectly clean and all staff is friendly and helpful. We can recommend both A la Carte Restaurants. Especially the East Restaurant which is offering Thai Kitchen on a very high level was our favorite place for dinner. We will always remember the restaurant manager ABI SOOKEEA. He is working with all his heart, very service oriented, pampering his guests in his very special warm hearted way. The Hotel is very lucky to have employees like him. They are worth gold. We hope we will see him again when we come to the hotel on our next trip to Mauritius. The hotel is also offering waterski, Kajak and snorkeling and some other water activities for free. All the equipment is in top condition, staff is very friendly. Unfortunately most of the corals are grey and dead. Only a few spots are slowly coming alive again. Many tourists are not aware of this during swimming and snorkeling. New corals are often damaged by fins and feet. As they are growing very slowly this is not acceptable. We were disappointed that the watersports staff did not mention this. I would have expected to get some advise to take care of the corals and fish during the snorkeling trip.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and were extremely impressed by the hotel. Especially the service of the staff was incredible - I would like to mention Brandon in particular, as he made really great non-alcoholic cocktails and was super friendly :)

We have just returned from two weeks at the Lux Le Morne, and without a doubt, this is the best resort-style, 5-star hotel we have stayed in. Firstly, the location is beautiful, utterly peaceful and quiet, set on a gorgeous long strip of sandy beach with crystal-clear water to swim in. There are other hotels nearby, but the emphasis of the area is low-key. Being west-facing, the sunsets are spectacular each night. We stayed in an Ocean Junior Suite on the ground floor, featuring a spacious terrace with views of the sea. The suite was lovely, with plenty of space and a great dressing area. The bathroom included a large walk-in shower. The suite is decorated in cool whites, which suits the location perfectly, with plenty of colourful accents through the large picture window. The king-size bed was particularly comfortable—hotel beds are so often not. The gym is well-equipped with good-quality air conditioning. All the public areas of the hotel are beautifully furnished, decorated, and comfortable. Of particular mention is the outstanding and very impressive quality of the food. The main restaurant, 'The Kitchen,' is buffet style and is the best we have ever seen! There was an incredible range of options, with each night featuring a different theme, such as 'Asian,' so we never got bored with the choices. Every night also offered a selection of Mauritian food, which was also delicious. We very much enjoyed eating on the beach, with a good selection of salads and burgers. The service was amazing; so often, beach and pool service can be lacking, but we were always attended to within moments of asking. The hotel utilizes an alert system by pressing a button on your sunshade, and the waiter or waitress was always there in moments. We also dined at the Beach Restaurant on several occasions for lunch and dinner. The choice and quality were excellent. Of particular mention is the Lobster and Seafood night. The lobster was fantastic. On another occasion, I had steak, which was quite possibly the best steak I have ever eaten. Lastly we dined at the Japanese restaurant, where we were treated to a tasting menu with absolutely delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Outstanding. I should also mention the service at the hotel, which was excellent—attentive, warm, and friendly without being too intrusive or overbearing. It feels like the hotel is run with great passion and commitment- this runs through everything they do. Overall, a truly wonderful experience. We will be returning!

Just finished dinner at East at Lux Le Morne and the food was absolutely phenomenal! Special thank you and shout out to chef Abishek, chef Jai, and the most amazing and caring staff! Will definitely be back and highly recommend to all who stay at the hotel

We spent some time deciding which of the many beach hotels in Le Morne would suit our needs and made the absolute BEST decision in choosing The Lux. The location is, of course, breathtaking but more than that the hotel has been so sympathetically designed as to be utterly respectful of the nature in which it sits. Almost hidden as you look at it from the water, it is perfectly elegant but totally unostentatious. There’s no awful blasting music on the beach, so the sounds of the waves crashing over the reef and the birds above you in the palms are all you hear. The rooms are crisp and chic and I don’t think I’ve ever slept better on a holiday. We did half board which was great for us as the breakfasts are plentiful and dinner at The Beach restaurant was a treat every night ( tho the wines are not for the faint hearted!) The service is attentive without being overbearing and all of the staff are lovely. Particular mentions go to Melaney for sorting our room so quickly at the beginning of the holiday, to Annunto for ensuring we always had a table on the beach! To Hans, Irving, Audrey, Ivrishna and the wonderful Hossen who waved us off in style and to all the team for making our stay so easy. The lux is a gem - long may it stay that way.

The resort is paradise. The rooms big, clean and with everything you need. The restaurant food exceptional. It was so tranquil and perfect for an after Christmas get away to the sun and for a rest. But - we were unsure exactly what was covered in our half board status and received different answers from different staff members. The service for drinks in all bars and the restaurant was inconsistent. We could wait 10 minutes for tea/coffee at breakfast; that was once you had found someone to take your order. The same thing happened at all the bars. We became very cross one day when we were ignored by staff who were chatting amongst themselves and did receive an apology. We did notice that staff worked much harder when managers were present. We felt that it is a very expensive place to stay and if spending that kind of money the service should be consistent. This would not stop me going again however, but it would make me give it 5 stars rather than 4.

The location of the hotel is wow, at the shores of one of the best beaches from Mauritius, and right next to the mountain Le Morne Brabant. It was the third time visiting the Lux - first time almost 20 years ago! And they are keeping the very high standard all the years. Special thanks to Mr. Bhugoo, the General Manager for the wonderful cocktail party, Manee, the „celebrations desk fairy“, Mr. Teeluck Hurvind, the food and beverage manager, who is every day looking for the well being of his guests personally and also to our room maid Vimi and all the others of the great team. We stayed at Lux Le Morne November 2024 for our honeymoon! I am going to break this review down in different categories. There were sooo many great things about this resort, but definitely some areas for improvement. Overall, the resort itself is stunning. To note, we were on the all inclusive package. The common areas are really nice, comfortable, and clean. There are lots of areas to sit and lounge! It is well designed and had plenty open space for that fresh Mauritius air to blow through! The landscaping and hotel grounds were stunning. We enjoyed sitting at the bar area ahead of our dinner reservations. ROOMS We staying in the sunset junior suite and it was great! The view was unmatched and we loved sitting out on our balcony. We were steps from the beach and I would say its definitely worth it to spend a little more to stay in one of the junior suites. There was minor wear and tear, but overall the room was clean and well designed. The cleaning staff came in to tidy twice a day and restock the mini bar - which was really nice! THE BEACH & POOL The beach area is truly stunning. The sand is soft and the water was so clear and warm. We spent most days on the beach, lounging in the chair or bean bags! I know some reviewers mention trouble getting a chair, but we didn't have any issues with this at all. We placed a towel down on our way to breakfast and spent the day there. The Sunset from the beach was beautiful! The pool area was clean and nice for a quick dip! FOOD & RESTAURANTS This is where we ran into a few issues. Mainly with slow service. Some of the serving staff were great - while others were extremely slow.. particularly in the bar area and the buffet. We had to ask for basic things like water, and follow up on food / drinks. Call them over to take an order - that sort of thing. At a 5 star resort, you expect the service to be unmatched, so unfortunately we felt a little let down by this. Especially when we went to East, and had the same issues - and had paid extra for this dinner. The staff at the Kitchen restaurant were a bit better and we ate here for dinner most nights! The food at The Kitchen restaurant was tasty & more enjoyable than the buffet. The buffet had lots of options but we rarely ate there for dinner whereas we had breakfast everyday at the buffet and it was great! I honestly would say that East wasn't worth the extra money unfortunately. The food was comparable to The Kitchen, and as mentioned, the service was soso. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated and great spot on the resort. Kawaii was definitely really cool! A little pricey but if you are a foodie I would say its worth it for the experience. Overall, there was a good variety of wine & drink options included in the all inclusive package - and we were happy with the cocktails and drinks we ordered! I think being on all inclusive is worth the extra money if you plan to eat & drink a lot. COMMUNICATION & GUEST SERVICES Communication leading up to our stay was great. I read a lot of reviews about making reservations in advance for the restaurants, and when I reached out, they were quick to respond & made sure we were taken care of! They also helped us plan our activities in advance such as the Cinema Paradiso. During our stay the staff at celebration corner, and front desk were super helpful & responsive to our requests. They helped us to plan our included honeymoon activities and were really pleasant to work with. ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT We did the Cinema Paradiso and it was one of our favourite moments! It was really cool to watch a movie under the stars. You have someone available to order food and drinks from for the entire experience (additional if you aren't on all inclusive). I would say it's worth it if you enjoy movies! We also enjoyed the live music that played every night! Was really fun. Other than that we didn't see most of the shows or entertainment as oftentimes we were eating dinner.. but knew it was available! The hotel helped us organize a car one day to go explore around the island. It was nice to get off the resort and see some of the natural beauty of Mauritius! Overall, I would definitely recommend LUX Le Morne if you want a comfortable stay, and beautiful beach. Though it's not adults only, it was quiet and perfect for our honeymoon. Lux* Le Morne is a true gem nestled in the most scenic and tranquil south west corner of Mauritius, offering an oasis of calm amidst its beautiful surroundings. From the moment you step into the hotel, you're greeted by a serene atmosphere and stunning surroundings that instantly put you at ease. The rooms are tastefully decorated in neutral, restful shades, enhancing the overall sense of relaxation. Our deluxe room was beach-facing and conveniently located next to the swimming pool. It was perfect for our needs. The separate dressing room is a useful addition, providing ample space for your belongings. There were plenty of very comfortable sun loungers by the pools and on the beach as well as several large bean bag cushions. Dining at Lux* Le Morne is a delightful experience, especially at The Kitchen Buffet Restaurant. The food is delicious, with a great variety, particularly at breakfast. For those who enjoy Thai cuisine, the a la carte East restaurant is a must-visit. The Beach restaurant is also a la carte and offers an excellent dining experience. One memorable experience was visiting Vik's little shack at the end of the beach for a sea urchin tasting and a glass of wine; Vik is quite a character and adds a unique touch to your stay. The staff at Lux* Le Morne are friendly and highly efficient, providing impeccable service that cannot be faulted. Special mentions go to Avnish and Niana at the bar for their friendly and cheerful welcome and service, Alaine, a Liverpool supporter, in the restaurant for his well-informed chat about football, (Alaine, we weren’t crying after the cup final yesterday like you said we would be) and Kaushik also at The Kitchen. We had an excellent day out exploring the north of the island with Iqbal, who drove us in the very comfortable hotel limo – a BMW X7. He offered very informative insights into the island, its history, sights, and experiences, making the day truly memorable. The hotel offers a plethora of complimentary activities such as snorkelling, paddle boarding, and kayaking, ensuring there's always something fun to do. The spa is another highlight, where we enjoyed time in the hammam and sauna area and I had a delightful treatment in the spa. Staying on an all-inclusive basis is highly recommended, as drinks and food are very expensive, and there are no nearby alternatives. Lux* Le Morne stands out not only for its serene and beautiful location but also for the exceptional service and amenities offered, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

Loved this place. The beach is beautiful, the location spectacular and the service is suitably laid back and informal. We’ll never forget tasting sea urchin for the first time and eating the most wonderful local curries. Simply unforgettable. All the staff were obviously amazing but Brigitte and Eloise in the Kitchen Restaurant could not stop smiling and being fabulous. Ryan at the beach bar displayed the right amount of cool and made sure the beers were cold. Merci Ryan. All in all a great trip. LUX did it again and we’ll be back.

We have just returned from LUX Le Morne where we spent our honeymoon and WOW. The standard here is on another level - from the excellent food across all the restaurants, to the bars, perfectly kept beaches, unlimited water activities, the list goes on! But truly what makes it so special is the amazing team - Vyshee, Noush, Jason and Bianca in particular really took such good care of us, and it felt like they were genuinely invested in us as people. The attention to detail is unmatched to any other luxury resort we’ve stayed in, they delivered on everything we asked for and even threw in a couple of truly memorable surprises too. Highly recommend doing all inclusive as it just made everything stress free! We’ll never forget our stay and really do hope to go back again soon.

My wife and I went to Mauritius for our honeymoon and absolutely loved the LUX. The staff is so thoughtful and was very accommodating of our food allergies. We enjoyed a lot of time by the pool and beach, as well as a massage, cocktail-making class, and sunset fire show. We HIGHLY recommend having a meal at the sushi Omakase restaurant, Kawaii - it was one of the highlights of our trip and Chef Mart is a sushi genius. A special thanks to Exec Chef Saurabh and Director Yogesh for regularly checking in and making our stay so special.

And even have a yoga matt .The staff are the nicest people who genuinely care and remember your names the whole time. We found they couldn’t do enough for you , they even waved us goodbye and bestowed gifts . The food was excellent and nothing was repeated in two weeks. There are lots of sun beds and bars , with lots of choices of pools. And of course the gorgeous sea .we visited the island and nothing disappointed us We can’t wait to go back x

We spent a wonderful week here where you can relax and enjoy the beach ,ocean and beautiful surroundings. The beach is long with lovely white sands , backed by palm trees and the wonderful Le Morne mountain. You can snorkel from the beach however occasionally the currents can be a little challenging, but when this does occur there are three lovely pools to choose from. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming . There were four great restaurants to choose from, with plenty of options, East was especially good with it’s Thai inspired menu, delicious. We stayed in the junior suite which was well equipped with mini bar, large bathroom and bedroom and great balcony where you could watch the sun go down over the ocean. One of the best locations to watch the beautiful sunsets was from the bar, where you could enjoy a cocktail, beer,wine etc which came with a tasty nibble. If you are able it is worth exploring the nearby area with interesting places to visit like the black river gorge which has great views. Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable holiday.

My wife and I had a truly amazing stay at Lux Le Morne! The resort is in a gorgeous natural setting with a stunning beach and beautiful pools. The food was great - with the restaurants included in the half board really top notch - and there’s lots of water sports on offer included in the stay including some fabulous snorkelling just off the resort beach. The team is brilliant. Vishyee in particular made us feel especially welcomed, regularly checking in and treating us to some lovely surprises which made our stay so memorable. What a star! Alain also made sure we were well looked after in the kitchen. Look no further than Lux Le Morne if you’re after the perfect holiday destination in Mauritius.

We stayed at the Lux for 7 days and also got married during our stay. We were already aware during our booking and planning process that the facilities and staff would be amazing but we still were surprised at how truly wonderful it has been. During our whole stay everyone really worked their hardest to make all our wishes come true. Our wedding was one of the best day of our life and incredibly stress free due to the hard work of Manie and Bianca. We are so grateful for all the dedication and support that made this all so memorable. If you want your own peace of paradise, we highly recommend staying here. My wife and I had an unforgettable stay at LUX Le Morne. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly thoughtful and caring — they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was both diversified and excellent, with something new to enjoy at every meal. The view is simply breathtaking, and the rooms are perfectly designed for rest and relaxation — probably the best place we’ve ever stayed to truly catch up on sleep. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of coming back!

My favorite resort. Perfect location. Very nice hotel. Flawless service. Very good programs every day. High-quality food in restaurants. Very helpful staff. The All-Inclusive service is perfect. The rooms are very clean. The surroundings of the hotel are wonderful. We will definitely be back.
