Excellent hotel with beautiful view
Love the location of the hotel with its beautiful view. The huge windows in our room overlook the Beagle Channel and the Andes. I enjoy sitting in the Jacuzzi, admiring the views. The spa and pool are excellent, and the staff at the Front Desk and concierge were extremely helpful.

They are generally clean but the pool has algae sediments and jacuzzis can do with a bit of cleaning.
However, the services can definitely be improved. The reception staff are not as friendly as all the other hotels we visited on this trip, particularly as this is a high end hotel which odd disappointing. The shuttle service from Ushuaia to the hotel never came after we had waited for over 30 min so we had to take an uber back, thankfully not missing our tour pick up. We reported this to the receptionist who said that she would look into refunding the taxi fare to us. When we checked out we asked about the refund but she told us that she had checked and the shuttle did went to the pick up point implying that I made the story up. I said that it was definitely not the case. She then said “it was only about 6000 pesos, right?”. Even then she did not offer a refund. I was quite offended by this comment. We would Not recommend this hotel for this reason.

Amazing location, with stunning views. Our room faced the Beagle channel and the scenery was spectacular. The sun rooms were a unique way of letting the guests enjoy the views while drinking coffee or sipping wine. Very beautiful, but the rooms are in dire need of update. The furniture is chipped the deco is from 1960s. The bathrooms are old and the bathtub is so narrow and curved that it is dangerous.
The restaurant staff was friendly and food is ok but with limited menu. If you have to eat there for 3 nights there is not much to pick from.

Beautiful panorama from everywhere
The hotel is beautiful overall, perfect for couples. Lovely staff, beautiful restaurant with delicious food, breathtaking panorama. The wellness area is nicely renovated and well equipped. Breakfast could be more plentiful and room quieter, but other than that, 5*

We came to Los Cauquenes for our honeymoon and we are absolutely thrilled. The hotel is stunning — from the facilities and rooms to the food and service, everything is truly top-notch. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up skipping many excursions because we didn’t want to leave! A special highlight is the outdoor balcony jacuzzis with breathtaking mountain views — pure bliss. The breakfast is extensive and of excellent quality, and the restaurant is fantastic, offering great options for vegetarians and vegans. The reception team, restaurant staff, spa personnel, housekeeping — everyone was incredibly attentive and kind. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for such a special trip. Thank you, Los Cauquenes and the entire staff, for making our honeymoon an unforgettable experience we’ll cherish forever.

A lovely warm and welcoming hotel peacefully located with friendly staff. We loved the relaxed ambience and couldn’t get enough of the wonderful view of the Beagle Channel. Breakfast had a great selection of all the usual stuff and was served in a cozy dining room where we ate the first night and really enjoyed the food. Though the rooms are a little dated they are comfortable and spacious and we had a view of the channel we really enjoyed. Staff were all lovely and did their best to accommodate our requests. On a cold and wet day it was a pleasure to return here and relax after our adventures. Loved our stay, Ushuaia and Patagonia!

We enjoyed our stay at LCRSE. We were picked up at the airport by a friendly hotel staff member right outside the arrival area. The front desk folks were warm and friendly.
The location is beautiful--right on the Beagle Channel with views from most rooms as well as from the bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very well presented, and we had dinner on property both nights to rave reviews.
The pools and spa area were quite nice.
The concierge helped us with arranging some adventures which were really fun.
I highly recommend LCRSE for your Ushuaia adventures.

The location is spectacular on the Beagle Channel. Back in the days this has been a great place, but time and I assume lack of competition has deteriorated the offering.
The restaurant and the bar are great. Good quality offering and very attentive service. Without this I wouldn’t suggest anyone to stay here.
The rooms I don’t think have been updated for at least two decades and it is showing. We stayed at Premium Channel room, and as far as I’m concerned the only premium about the room was the view. Also, to me five star category means evening turn down and fresh towels if needed. Neither offered.
The concierge desk was clueless beyond ordering a transport (even that got complicated with a large amount of luggage) and giving you a preprinted list of recommended restaurants. Trying to get suggestions for the tour in the national park was useless. The most petty thing I encountered was when I asked whether we can have our return transfer to the airport to the cruise port instead. No, this cannot be done as it’s different was the response. Note, the distance differential is 200m.

We just left a 3 day stay here, and after reading some of the reviews, I think there needs to be some understanding for what this hotel offers, where it offers it. Los Cauquenes is situated on an idyllic section of the Beagle Channel and has created large sitting areas in the lobby for all guests to enjoy that look directly onto the Channel and the Chilean Andes across the way. The breakfast is copious and the dining room comfortable. And, again, all the tables have a view of the Channel. The rooms are clean. Ours had the same spectacular view of the Channel as the lobby. There is plenty of closet space to store your things and the heaters are manually operated by turning a knob, there is no thermostat to adjust, but they work, almost too well, but the windows also open if you want to cool things off once you shut off the heaters after getting warm. After an all-day hike in the pouring rain in 40 degree fahrenheit weather, those heaters were a gift to warm us up and dry our clothes out. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the concierge informative and the hotel's private boat excursion was excellent to see the Channel and the wildlife on the archipelagos in the Channel.
If you are looking for the the experience of a Ritz Carlton, Los Cauquenes isn't going to be able to provide it, but then again neither is any hotel in Ushuaia. This is a developing and extremely remote town and the hotel exceeds expectations when you bear that in mind. I read some of the previous reviews and think them unfair. The staff is there to meet your needs. Given costs and location, the reviews that say it should be renovated are unfair. My husband and I discussed this and if thought of a few minor things that would greatly enhance the experience to make it feel more like a 4 or 5 star hotel:
1) invest in some bedside devices that allow you to plug in your devices via a cord rather than an outlet on the nightstands
2) invest in some softer pillows
3) offer some washcloths
4) have turndown service with fresh towels so if you've come in from a cold outdoor activity, you know they're on their way
We hope to return one day to Ushuaia, this time to go to Antarctica, and if we do, we will certainly return to Los Cauquenes.
