What a great find for an overnight getaway in January!we booked a River view room on the 4th floor which had a fantastic view. The room itself was very nicely appointed and very clean. The staff is to be commended. We checked in at exactly 3:00 on 1/8 and even though there was a shift change in process both the person coming on and the one leaving were really welcoming and took the time to explain the Inn’s amenities and parking. We were also given a great list of local restaurant suggestions and upon returning from dinner had a pleasant conversation at the front desk about where we ended up dining. Breakfast the next morning was very pleasant with Heather’s baked goods and quiche. It was nice having fresh baked goods and real eggs. We will definitely return.

We were in town for a short weekend getaway, and had a lovely experience at the Lord Camden Inn. Great location, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Super friendly staff. Loved the view, even if it was way too cold to hang out on the balcony. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Note that if you make your reservation directly with them, parking is free but you will be charged if you use a third-party booking site. Breakfast was included, and included the standards for a hotel buffet breakfast.

Right in the center of town. Walk to all the shops/restaurants. Full of character. Large room with a huge balcony with no view. Beds need new mattresses/pillows/sheets. Very friendly staff. Generous breakfast buffet with everything you could want.
This is our second visit here and while it costs a bit more than some others, it’s worth every penny. Everyone is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable with every amenity you would want, and they serve one of the best so-called continental breakfasts we’ve ever had. It also...

It also couldn’t be more convenient to all that Camden has to offer.

Lord Camden Inn is located in the heart of downtown Camden. A delightful harbor community, this Inn will fulfill many of your needs. The main entrance is on Mechanic Street with 2 parking spaces to unload your car. The main parking area for the Inn is but 200 yards up Mechanic Street in a private lot. The clerk will give you a card to enter that lot.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is an elevator to assist those that are placed on the upper floors.
We had a room with a balcony that faced a small stream. We could see the Tannery Lane Footbridge. The room was of a decent size with an adequate bathroom. My wife loved the soft pillows. The TV was quite good too. The AC was cold but a tad noisy. We enjoyed seating out on our balcony. Most of the time we were out exploring.
On the second floor is where there is a good size breakfast area. We did enjoy the home baked goods. Plenty of options for breakfast too.
Another entrance is located on Main Street. If you have mobility issues, this is where you want to arrive or leave.
We did enjoy the ambiance and the Hot Fudge Sundae at the Waterfront Restaurant. Not far is the healthy eating restaurant called Mixed Greens. A short walk away, too, is the popular Thai restaurant called “Long Grain.”
If you have time, we recommend a 2-mile drive north on USI to Camden Hills State Park. From the entrance is a 4 mile drive up to Mount Battie. Superb views can be had of the entire area including Camden and West Penobscot Bay. The 26-foot tower (seen from downtown Camden) was built in 1921 to commemorate those from Camden who took part in WWI, 1914-1918.

We stayed in a full harbor view room on the 4th floor. We were so glad they had an elevator. Maureen checked us in and she was so sweet and helpful. The parking is down the street but they do have an unloading/loading area at the back entrance which is helpful. Once parked most everything is within walking distance. I do suggest while in Camden you go to Camden Hills State Park and drive to the overlook. We ate at the Waterfront restaurant which was in walking distance as most things are. Lord Camden Inn does have a hot breakfast buffet which also includes several cold and grab-n-go items. They also have a small exercise room which we did not use. The rooms were spacious, clean, they had a microwave and small fridge as well as a lot of storage so could be more of a longer stay property.

AC doesn’t work properly — otherwise, some nice touches

Pros: There were several thoughtful touches (nice balcony with cushioned chairs, real coffee mugs, chocolates on pillows, makeup cloth, nice amenities, microwave and fridge, bottle of water) and the linens were very nice and comfy.
Cons: The A/C does not work properly. When management was told this, they said they “would check it.” Nothing was done to address it to my knowledge — the problem is it’s too big unit for the room, so it blows cold air for about 2 minutes, then the fan comes on for 20 minutes. We left the room for 5 hrs with AC on high and it went from 78 degrees to 76 in that time. Overnight, it dropped one more degree to 75 (we had it set for 66). This was when the outside temp was in the high 60s.
Good luck to people staying there when the outside temperature is in the 90s.
Floors are creaky overhead; tub/shower is super squeaky and loud every time you make a small step.
Breakfast looked AWFUL.

Warm welcome & sweet balcony views
Warm welcome at front desk on a rainy evening. Greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies and a $10 off certificate for their sister hotel's bar/restaurant the Vintage Room. Perfect setting for morning coffee on our King room's little balcony.
The rooms were beautiful, clean and cozy. Fireplace and balcony were perfect. Beautiful views, comfy beds, and amazing breakfast. Great local eats, definitely recommend Cafe Louis, and karaoke at Cuzzy's! Also French and Brawn is a must for local fresh groceries and amazing coffee ❤️
We had such a nice time at the Lord Camden Inn. The room and location were perfect and all the staff were super friendly and helpful! The inclusive breakfast was outstanding as well - we would've chosen to eat there whether it was included or not!
Location, amenities, clean, and a great staff make for an awesome stay!

We had a top floor harbor view and our stay was excellent. Check-in was fast and friendly. The ladies there were most helpful and inviting. The entire place was clean and our room was well done. The bathroom was nice and the amenities were well thought out. The parking was a little bit up the road, but you can unload and take your things to your room and go park in a secured lot. When we booked direct, the parking was included for us. The breakfast buffet was also included and everything was homemade. The coffee was fresh and the people there were also great to talk to. The fresh fruit was the best mix we have seen in such a place. Definitely a memorable experience, and we will do it again.
