Reviews of Le Petit Hotel Saint-Paul
Very cute hotel in Old Montreal near restaurants, cafes, Notre Dame Basilica, port area, galleries etc. Our hotel room was clean and beautiful. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful about places of interest to visit. To top it off they have a yummy breakfast that is included.
Great location. Very nice rooms. Outstanding service.

Hotel has a great location in the historic district. Within steps of good restaurants and shops , and a short walk to river front, the basilica, museums and more. Our room was a medium size room, which was plenty of space for 2. It was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. What sets this hotel apart is customer service. In particular, Mathieu was especially helpful and friendly. He remembered our name every time he saw us, gave directions to multiple locations, made excellent suggestions for dinner spots, and is just a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and the city. The cafe’ will make you a barista level coffee any time, and all the staff go out of their way to assist their guests. We loved our stay at Le Petit Hotel!

Stayed at Le Petit Hotel for four nights for vacation from Quebec city and glad we decided to stay here. Location was perfect - numerous restaurants close by, walkable to Notre Dame Basilica, shops and downtown. Felt safe walking by the hotel at night and early mornings. The free coffee, tea, hot chocolate prepared by the front desk staff is a special touch not found in other hotels. Free breakfast served daily with croissants, toast, deli, smoked salmon etc. helps guests get their day started without breaking the bank. Clean room, heavenly bed and strong shower after a day of walking around Montreal is every traveller’s dream which Le Petite delivered. Shout out to Mathilde who welcomed us during check in making us feel at home right away and always with a smile when we see her. All the staff works hard (sorry for not remembering your names) to provide superior service to guests and continue the hotel’s good reputation. Will surely be back at Le Petite hotel!

I was disappointed with my stay at Le Petite Hotel in Montreal. After arriving tired in the afternoon, I found that my room hadn’t been cleaned. When I went to the front desk, the staff member was challenging, insisting that someone had informed me that cleaning was on request, which I wasn’t told. When I asked to speak to the manager, she only said he comes in on Thursdays—how convenient!

The shower is amazing! There’s nothing like a handheld shower to feel at home. It’s hard to find a handheld shower even in the best hotels. The espresso, cappuccino, or latte is unlimited! Free! Can you believe it?

Very disappointing stay - misleading photos on the website. We booked an XL room, big yes, but no charm whatsoever, cheap dated and damaged furniture and doors , tiny bath "handyman" style. For $500 +/night. And not even a bottle of water in the room? Super soft mattress, if you like that. Breakfast included, but so many people - there was no room for us and we went elsewhere. Great location on ST Paul O, and our room faced the back so it was quiet. But we wouldn't go back. So many better options in old Montreal.

The hotel is well located (easy walking to Jazz Festival, metro, right in old city by the waterfront) clean, comfortable, lovely included breakfast, and fabulous, friendly and helpful staff. I felt that even before Zhara, Andrea, and Miro combined to ensure that the passports I had left behind in the safe were securely forwarded to me (and wrapped, placed in secure envelope and delivered to Expedibus!) with arrival 24 hours later and 7 hours before our flight to the States departed. I will forever be grateful and look forward to staying there for next years Jazz Festival!!

Location is fantastic. Old Montreal is vibrant and full of charm. Le Petite Hotel is all of that. Many details contribute to the pleasant stay, including the complimentary espresso, comfy terry cloth robes and slippers, real wine glasses in the room and even a corkscrew!
Great place, We give it an A

Excellent place to stay. Location can't be beat. Staff is fantastic. The decor is modern and lovely in the common areas and in the room. Highly recommend. Still in the "areas for improvement," the bed in our room was as soft as a marshmallow (and we're not that picky). They are a little stingy with toiletries and towels (you have to ask for more body wash, etc. and even getting maid service doesn't mean more). Also a little stingy with towels - there are 2 bath towels in the room. But the friendly front desk staff will make you an espresso drink anytime you ask for free. The breakfast is really nice each day and included and has great people watching! All in all, we loved it.

We were in town for the graduation of a dear friend and planned in extra days because the location of the hotel is so perfect: Lovely walking streets, great restaurants, fun shopping, lots of art and museums.
The room price includes a generous breakfast and a 24-hour barista.
We really appreciated Miroslav's professionalism on the front desk. She's very thorough with great follow-thru.

The atmosphere is cosy, our room was very clean and the complimentary beverages were a highlight! The continental breakfast is so good! The fresh bagels and croissants were delicious. Also, the front staff was very informative when it came to recommendations for places to eat and directions to the places we wanted to see.

The location is amazing, as it is in the heart of old Montreal, and 2 blocks away from the port of Montreal, the Basilica, and many museums.
Zara gave us excellent restaurant advice as well as tips on what to see nearby. Emile, Andrea, and Nicolas were attentive, and happy to serve us. The room was cozy, the shower is amazing! Bedding is exceptionally soft and high quality.
Strongly recommend for a couples stay.

We were in Montreal to celebrate my husband's birthday. We booked Le Petit Hotel based on the Tripadvisor reviews and we're so happy we did. The hotel is in a wonderful location in the heart of Old Montreal; everything we needed was just a short walking distance, including the 3 restaurants we ate at while we were there. We booked a large room which was lovely and a perfect size. The bathroom was also lovely with a space age shower! It was on the main floor, so it was easy to go back and forth and enjoy the endless, free, delicious coffees that were served every day. The breakfast was fabulous - St.Viateur bagels, delicious croissants, muffins and breads from a local bakery, plus cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, yogurts, cereal, juice, etc. The front desk staff were a delight - very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for them, including fixing our safe when it couldn't be opened! We highly recommend Le Petit Hotel for a wonderful stay in Montreal.

The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and so helpful. Our room was clean but the hallway could be cleaner and the dishes and leftover food remained in front of other rooms for awhile. The street was under construction while we stayed, which was not the fault of the hotel. But it complicated the valet parking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return to try out their new location! Thank you to all the front desk staff who prepared us several coffees and teas! They were so friendly and eager to help!
