The hotel's beautiful architecture, the gorgeous Bar George restaurant and bar, and the central location (we could walk to the Bell Centre for the 4 Nations games) were all pluses for our 2-day stay. But the key to our visit was the friendly, professional staff, including the concierge team, who thankfully contacted us in advance to ask if we had made dinner reservations for our trip. We hadn't, and downtown Montreal was busy with hockey and Valentine's that weekend. They made reservations for us at Bar George for Valentine's dinner and Pois Penché, a fantastic local bistro with great food, atmosphere and service, for an early dinner before the hockey game. Our guest room was spotless, and we enjoyed the heated bathroom floors (missing at Toronto's Royal York and the King Eddy hotels). After the hockey game, we dropped into the hotel bar and got seated when we mentioned we were hotel guests, even though there was a lineup to get in. Outstanding level of service in the bar, too. We hope to return to Le Mount Stephen in the spring/summer!

Bar George, set in the historic mansion, offered fantastic food and cocktails in a stunning setting. Its prime downtown location made exploring Montreal effortless. If you’re looking for a luxurious and unique stay, Le Mount Stephen is a top choice. Highly recommended!

An all around amazing stay. The accommodations are great and the staff are outstanding. The hotel is also ideally located downtown to explore all that the city has to offer. If you are visiting Montreal, look no further than Le Mount Stephen.

One if not the best 5 stars hotels in Montreal. Impeccable service, it's clean, it looks nice, rooms are spacious, extra clean and full of amenities, great bar, the food is good at their restaurant, the gym is ok too for a hotel. The old building is authentic with goergous wood work everywhere ! It's our second stay and it will remain our top choice everytime we need a room in Montreal. It's just wow !

Excellent hotel that is the very best of service and quality of accommodation let down by poor service and questionable cleanliness of its adjoining bar. 5 for the hotel, 1 for the bar. Stay and enjoy just don’t eat & drink. (Room service excluded!)

Everything was perfect from the arrival with my 10 lb Poodle to the full experience at the hotel.. Location is wonderful. You can walk to everything. Bar George was special and the bartender made our night with his stories. Food and service were 10 Plus!

We have absolutely enjoyed our 8 Nights stay in Le Mount Stephen Hotel We originally were only planning to stay 5 Nights but decided to extend and just stay with them for the rest of our Montreal Trip Room Amenities were excellent and our favorite is the Japanese Toto Hotels which is one of the reason why we chose them too After being in Japan and experiencing the Toto ones, you can never have anything better Their Rain Shower was phenomenal as well We also got to try dining at Bar George But what sets them apart from most hotels are the Staff Friendly, helpful, approachable and have always greeted us with smile every single time We have felt so welcomed from the moment we checked in to the time we checked out I highly highly recommend them and if you’re thinking about it, no questions asked, go for their Suite Rooms 😁 Thank you Le Mount Stephen and we appreciate the Christmas Surprise we go yesterday We hope to come back and stay with you again in the future!
