Websites continue to be misleading. At $900/night plus fees one expects four seasons amenities etc. This charming old motel has lovely staff and serves nice complimentary breakfast. The grounds are charming yet simple. The Churchill room was charming in its own way but set beside the morning breakfast eaters ie four feet from our door and nearest the street- really left something to be desired. No tv. Ok. Fine. An archaic bathtub and shower just kind of a bummer. Clean and comfortable bed. Few outlets within the room and none bedside. Odd. Again, charming and lovely staff. But hacking rates during tennis and coming off like a five star just feels disingenuous and we won’t return.

The location is excellent and the place is beautiful in pictures but the "queen" bed was small and very uncomfortable and too high to perch on to put on shoes, let alone easy to get into. The tub is unusable due to it being made out of stone and the kitchen had no microwave to heat up leftovers from meals out or wineglasses. The only items to drink from were two coffee cups. And no TV. Would have liked to have been able to stream movies from our own account in the evenings while drinking a glass of wine, neither of which we were able to do. Wanted to have drinks at the poolside bar one evening and while it was open and others were drinking there, there was no staff when we arrived and none in the "lobby" to ask. After waiting a while we went back to our room and washed our coffee cups from the morning and used them to drink a glass of wine. Disappointing for the price.

Very nice getaway. A place to truly rest and rejuvenate yourself. Property is unique, staff is attentive and the breakfast was awesome! The pool is refreshing and they have a cool little bar so we enjoyed some drinks by the water. Can’t wait to go back

Very cute and quirky place close to all the action of Palm Springs. I loved all the cold water and fire features. Our room was extremely small and cramped for two adults. So choose wisely. We were not aware of many of the activities and they were not posted. They do have yoga once a week and a sound bath once a week. We did watch the movie the first night, but we were never offered popcorn or hot cocoa. The breakfasts are wonderful.

My husband and I just returned from four perfect days at the Korakia. The property transports you to a Morrocan oasis once you walk into the Mediterreanean styled courtyard. This is where you'll enjoy a tasty breakfast each morning (included in the price). Keep going and you'll be at the quiet pool area with its warm salt-water pool. We swam there every morning to get our muscles loose for a day of hiking, biking (they have free bikes you can borrow) and walking through downtown -- just 3 blocks away.
We stayed in the Artists Suite which was comfortable and spacious. The bed was comfy (although a bit high and I had to jump up to get in!) It had a small kitchenette although we never ate in the room. Note that many of the standard rooms are on the small side. I looked at a few and they each have their own charms -- but if you need a bit more elbow room, you might want to book a suite.
Best of all, the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable.
This is not the place to stay if you're looking for a hopping, nightlife scene. But if you appreciate a non-corporate, laid-back, beautifully landscaped exterior in an intimate historic setting, Korakia might just be what you're looking for. We hope to visit again!

My wife and I found the Korakia serendipitously two years ago and now make it a "must-do" each year. It is a fabulous find and it made a quick Palm Springs trip, just to say we've been there, into a yearly indulgence. The service is classy and attentive, the ambiance is peaceful and serene, the neighborhood is friendly and easy to get around (downtown strip is two blocks away and easily walked to). The rooms are precious and once outside you are in a private garden setting with waterfalls, fountains and more flowers than you can count. At night it turns into a mystical place with literally hundreds of candles, lanterns and gas firplaces going. The pool is very warm, no cold water here. And of course, the breakfast, which is include, is simple but very nice. Parking is free and ample. Grab a free bike and explore, sit and relax in the ambiance of tranquility or walk downtown where there are great little boutiques and great eateries. 5-star all the way. Will be back next year.

I have been coming to Korakia since the first months it opened and was still privately owned with only the Moroccan side open. I have come back a number of times over the years as they have expanded, been bought and sold, and became a "destination". It has never lost its charm and magic but over time it became so expensive, even during the low season, that we started staying at other places in Palm Springs. This time, I got notice of a special rate, so we jumped on it! We love Korakia with its view of the mountains at sunset from the pool and good service. What we found weird is that you can no longer bring your own liquor or drink anywhere else but at the newly opened walk-up bar on the Moroccan side. We don't drink but some might find this information a reason to not book a room here. But, we will do our best to come back more often!

I was very disappointed with Korakia Pensione. The setting is exceptional, but I felt misled by the website's description of our room (the Sahara Room). It was miniscule, barely larger than the queen size bed, one chair, and a bathroom with a sliding door that offered minimal privacy. The patio that was advertised was actually shared with three other rooms. And to top it off, the room was infested with crickets, which kept us up all night. Certainly not worth nearly $500 a night, in the "off season." The hotel could do better if its website advertised the square footage of rooms so that guests know what they are getting into and can make a truly informed choice - I certainly wouldn't have stayed in a room this size at that price if the website had disclosed its size. Also, they should get the cricket problem under control - in looking at other reviews after our stay I see that this is not a new problem. There were positives: it is a magical setting, the staff was warm and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. But for us, not worth it given the quality of the room that we booked.

Had delicious fresh mint tea upon check in, greeted by the lovely employees, room was nice and cool (outside was 110!), beautiful stone tub and stone floor. The details throughout the hotel are so charming, such a vibe. Candles lit throughout the grounds at night, showing old movies at the pool with popcorn and hot chocolate. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the coffee provided is super good. 10/10 will be back again (2nd time staying here with my wife).

This is my favorite place in Palm Springs!! Beautiful aesthetic, calm, serene, great hospitality, a noon check out time, easy parking, gorgeous rooms, amazing breakfast, and love the adults only requirement (which is amazing when we left 5 kids at home with grandparents).
